Hello everybody. Welcome to a victorious real hot talk post game show. I am Brian. I'm how's it coming to you from Lumen field. Last time I stepped on this field was after the NFC championship game and I'm so excited to be joined by Evan Hill and Jeff Simmons. Boys, I got to say, I don't know if it was going to go this way early on. We'll talk all about it. This episode is brought to you by Pemko Insurance who's been serving Northwest families for 75 years and by prize picks Evan, Buddy. That was a little rough. There's so many different places we can go with this guy. It's like my brain is so scatter-thawed right now. I feel like I was teleported back to a Pete Carroll football game for a second to be honest with you when it was like three quarters of absolute.

That is exactly what I just told somebody inside. I told Mike Sandroider. I was like, this felt like a Pete Carroll game. Yeah. Obviously it was due to a very depressing injury-related reason. But my mind, guys, I'll just kick us off with where my head is at. All off season, we've been talking. There's been, rightfully, I think some skepticism and some criticism about this DB room being a little thin. You go into this week with Okada out, E-Met Warry out. There's been a lot of skepticism around Josh Job in training camp. Nea, my pritchett has absolutely had a, I think, honestly, a ton of justified criticism actually over the past year. He's a ball player today. Josh Job catches an interception. Julian love catches an interception. Rodney Thomas shows up. Didn't feel like there was a gap there at all all night. It was one of those situations where if you didn't notice him, I think he's

playing well. I just don't even know what to say. Drake May, per next-gen stats, I don't know if you guys saw this. The Patriots attempted four passes of 20 plus yards in this game. They were 0 for 4. They were 0 for 4 with three interceptions. The only positive play was the Fleefeck flicker that got a DPI. My attention is all on Sam Darnold right now. It sounds like we got some initially positive news from Mike McDonald, which is great. He couched it a little bit, but it sounds like more details to come. What a thrilling game. This team is just so resilient. Just when you think they're in the dumps that there's no hope watching Drew Locke lead this offense. It was rough at first. I'm not going to pretend it wasn't. But like, like, I was down in the dumps emotionally, guys. I'm going to be honest with you. Like, my eyes were dark. I was depressed in the corner. I had people looking at me in the room. Like, if I was

going to like harm myself that night, like, it was, it was dark. But you know what? You know what? Guys, resilient football teams, Super Bowl champions, Super Bowl champions win games like that. And I think I think 99 out of 100 times another football team loses that game. So I'll shut up where you guys at. I love that. Jeff, I mean, I'm smiling. I'm smiling ear to ear. I like this something about this win just makes me a little gleeful. And I think part of it is getting the good news about Sam. We'll talk about that in a second. And but also, I don't know, man, it looked really bad for a while. I was already thinking ahead to, oh my God. If if it Sam's out for the year and if they drop this game, this is going to be rough. And I, you know, what? I love that Evan started with the secondary because near my prison dunked on my face tonight. Like, I've been one of his critics. Like, me too, buddy. Me too. I've like been a doubter. I'm not like

hater, but I've been a doubter. He was freaking great tonight, man. That interception was great. I thought he made some great plays and coverage. And then just job, I've not been a hater of. And he made the call's game there after getting the DPI earlier that, you know, almost cost them the game. And it was, it was kind of crazy to think. Tio Cotta was the guy last year that came in when there was injuries in the secondary. Roddy Thomas, Neah My approach it, like they rise up this year. And what a way to start, dude. Brian, I just got to say one thing before Jeff jumps in. I got to give credit to Brayden Mills who who shared this parallel week one 2025. Seahawks are leading 13 to 10. Game is on the line. You know, Brock Pertis Grambles right throws a pass to Rikwool and doesn't make the interception right fast forward a year. Seahawks are up 13 to 10 with the game

on the line. And guess who makes the play Josh. It's a hell of a parallel. That's a great call. It's a hell of a parallel man. I mean corner of the end zone two or was the opposite side of the field. But still that is telling Jeff, do you stay in up to all hours because you're a sick oh man. What did you think? Yeah, I was about to go to bed and then I was like I had just got home for my buddy's house and I was like I'm not going to sit in bed right now and just scroll my phone on stop. So I'm like, I'm not going to talk to you guys. Not piss off my wife. So I'll be sick. Yeah, I think you have to start with the secondary. I thought Roddy Thomas played an awesome game. I don't know what will show up in like the grading even on the prison interception. Thomas makes the play where he comes across the field. He tackled really well. I thought Joe again, Joe didn't only make the interceptions the end which was insane to tap that play was nuts. It's a great play. You can tackle in the fourth quarter at the end of the game. That was awesome. And it was right where like New England

made that scary because they got the fourth downs and we were sitting back in zone a little bit. But it got to give credit to those guys. I thought Brian Flory had a really good second half. Yes, it looked pretty bad at first like I expected to look. And just one of the things that drives me nuts about NFL coaches is when backup quarterbacks come in and they started going run run pass, which makes it way harder on quarterbacks. And the whole time at halftime like why don't they just throw the easy stuff and like right after one of the interceptions there's that play to barter in the flat. There's a play to JSN even the fourth down call where they that could have been at disaster. Locks off his back foot. If they cover that up the games probably over. That was a ballsy call. So shout out to those guys and like they kind of won that game a lot longer if Drew Lock doesn't take that pretty bad delay of game penalty when it's supposed to be second and inches from the two yard line. And the next play, but I don't know if you saw this in the stadium. Price is wide open in the flat. We throws the ball directly at Christian Gonzalez. So that game

got a little scarier. But other thing is I want to see more. It should already in price like George Hollani like no disrespect. I said in the preseason. He just looks stiff and he hasn't looked stiff in the past. There's just and it was like this one. Jermior Gibbs has rookie year B. John Robinson. It's going to be a frustrating point of thing because they're probably limiting him a bit like they those guys were limited. But there's such a different skill level between him and the other backs on his team. I want to see more of that guy. Can I yeah go ahead go ahead one other call I just want to shout out. Noose was a force tonight. Particularly particularly in the run game. Like that man was moving bodies. He was everywhere. He was great. I thought Julian love. Julian love not only had the pick but was laying wood and I felt like what you don't know that phrase? That's like that's not what you're saying. And then here's lay wood. Keep it keep it clean dude.

Keep it clean. He was laying hits. Does that make you feel better? Jesus dude. You know this is why we can't get sponsors to sponsor your show. That's what's going on. You guys still there? Yeah I was like. All right. I'm not seeing you right now. So I wish I could but anyway I just thought Julian love was great and people forget this was a guy that was out for a lot of last year and has been one of their leaders and interceptions in past seasons. So I think I think he's coming back this season with a real intent and I thought he started the second half with that hit that really set the tone. So I thought I thought he had a great game. I want to go back to the flurry thing though. You guys talk about like the Drew Lock being late to the line. I'm not sure that's what it is. Like first time play caller this happened three times at least in

the red zone. Once in the other side that would have that illegal shift that was because they were down to the edge of the play clock and then two times here in the red zone and I don't know if that was Drew Lock which it could have been or it was a first time play caller in the red zone overthinking plays getting late the plays in late and causing the offense to have some pretty costly moments because it wasn't just that you know missing Jardin Price or she's she he was wide open on that same play with the three to Christian Gonzalez. Everyone else was open and I just think Drew Lock was a little bit rushed in some of these situations. So um but that fourth down play call. I was like oh no. I thought they're going to try to throw it to George Hullani who was totally covered and then there's JSA and wide the brick open and he just kept running. I'm real just kept running. That was great. Yeah. What would you guys give Brian Flurry? Like what's your impression of Brian Flurry after what is week one? We all know it's misleading. How would you describe him as a play caller after week one?

I'm curious to hear what Jeff thinks but I'm cautiously optimistic. I thought that fourth down uh uh go for it Colin. Was it the end of the third quarter or something like that where JSA and scored? I thought that was ballsy. I thought that was a beautiful design. I thought Drew you know Drew Lock executed it perfectly. I do think there was a little sloppiness operationally so I would push back a little bit on that but I mean it's hard to judge him like super negatively when you're dealing with Drew Lock. No offense Drew Lock but do you get what I'm saying? I do I do Jeff what do you think? I thought he called a professional game for the most part. I think he got a little discombobulated like the whole team did and he kind of got he kind of went through a show at first when Lock came in and it took like that crazy throw but we didn't get to see much in the first half it was just so discombobulated you can see obviously Lock hasn't worked with the starting offensive line probably most of the offseason. It looked pretty ugly so I thought the second half was yeah I think cautiously optimistic is the way I would describe Evan instead of perfectly. I liked

what I saw in the second half I saw just using their personal help better. I liked what they did. I didn't like some of the things but that made me nitpicky but like the play that Shaheed that they jumped upside on I thought that was going to be a really cool design. I don't know if you could do the stadium that was going to work. I'd like to see Moral IJ Royo and the tight ends get involved. I'm still pissed off they called AJ Barnard Offside on that Barnard sneak. That was not offside. They showed the replay and there was not offside but yeah to answer your question I thought it was like a B performance. Yeah yeah I'm not like super high or super low. The thing that I liked about Flurry's second half I mean yes the fourth down call was great but there was a nice sequence where he had started to get the Patriots used to this toss play and this this pre snap motion and they had just run it and they looked like they were running it again and AJ Barnard slips the block and is wide open out in the flat. That is how you sequence plays. That is how you dress plays up

to start to get the defense leaning one way and that's a good sign of a professional play collar to your point Jeff. So I saw a couple little glimpses there that I liked. I thought I'll tell you guys I thought the offensive line did a pretty good job in the run game. I thought there was a lot a lot of the night. I thought that there was a couple I thought you'd are in price was a few plays away from maybe having a hundred plus yard game. I loved what I saw from him. He is a professional runner. He is exactly what we've talked about. He runs the play that's called and he gets the yards that are there and I think he's got more than that in him. So I thought the run game tonight if they had Sam Darnold and they had maybe had the past game working a little bit better. I feel like this looked like a very encouraging night for the run game. How do you guys flipping perspectives for a second? I know this is a Seahawkshow but yeah if you're a Patriots fan how do you feel about the game that Drake Major said?

I don't want to lead the witness. I have some thoughts but I'd be curious to know where you guys are. What do you think, Jeff? I don't think I'd be able to get over that past because he made it the end of the game. He did so many good things on Fort Down and extending plays and once AJ Brown won out that offense has no juice at all. He was the only one who came them in the game but the risk reward of the throw he makes at the end of the game. Where if you just throw the ball away you're at least kicking them field goal at some point to go to overtime probably winning most likely. And to not have the knowledge that I can't make that throw, I know Purti did for the last year, I think I would be really struggling with that. That's a game as a Patriots fan against Rulauk you just can't lose. I would be beside myself for that as a Patriots fan. I'll just say this real quick Brian, like they were executing that Fort Down or that final drive like really well timing wise. I was very concerned. Fort Nine, Fort Nine, we would be having a very different conversation if it didn't end the way it ended. I agree. They had a number of

plays where they gave it the conversion. I'll tell you the thing I'm thinking about Evan as a Patriots fan. Maybe a little bit about show the Romeo dobs drop. But then I'm also thinking about I'm thinking about AJ Brown who I traded a first round pick for going out and not coming back and their offense looks like it had no clue after that. Like they really struggled after that. So I don't know man, I hope AJ Brown is all right. But if I'm a Patriots fan I'm pretty worried. I also would say I'd be pretty encouraged. They're offensive line. I'm gonna say night and day difference from the Super Bowl. But significant step forward for that offensive line. It was not the reason that they lost this game. No, it was really funny on the broadcast because Colin's North is talking about a lot of that. Colin's words could be really annoying. He like had a thing where he highlighted all three of the like the left side of the line and literally the second after he did that. Well Campbell took that really bad penalty. Viratucker got burned by Byron Murphy.

And all three of the guys right after Colin's words set it. Blue up. So it was nice right after Colin's words praise them. That's yeah, I'll deal on just destroy all three of those guys. Play after play after play. Oh my gosh. I just got hit by a football. You guys should know. I saw that. But I knew or was it a fluke? I got drill there. They're kicking. They're trying to kick field goals. I don't know who they are. But well you know who? I'm a little bit less of a calf than I used to have. You know speaking of field goals who hit both of their field goals successfully tonight. Fuck off. Why didn't you report on this? Brian will give like second by second detailed updates of the game like JSN's when it's 17 bullets in the in the last 32 seconds. But the second JSN kicks a field goal is just like tell me silence. Tell me either tell me it didn't cross either your minds when they get that touchdown to JSN. The crowd's going crazy that he's going to step up there and miss the extra point. Tell me I was going to do your minds. I was so confident. I left the room to refill my beer. I was so confident.

Uh-huh. I mean you left the room because you didn't want to see what was going to happen. Let's let's be let's be honest. Can I can I can I can I um can we swear on this or no? Can I complain about one person? Can I complain about one Seahawk who I thought was a total non-factor tonight that I was hoping more from Rashichi he really did it tonight. And by the way by the way my criticism is actually not even from a receiving perspective. Is it the fair catches? Yes. Why did he do it? I remember like 10 yards of room like three separate crimes. Jeff Brian Brian I don't know if you saw the broadcast. He had so much space repeatedly. There were like three or four opportunities where there were like 10 to 13 yards of space. And I'm like bro you're dynamic. Like we paid you a bag to to take those shots. I don't know if he's being told to be safe or something. But like it was missed opportunities. We were having

that conversation in the stadium for sure. Uh one thing I will say and I honestly just don't know is there was the one on the right sideline where it looked like he had a whole alley up the right sideline. The the gunner was when the ball was in the air the gunner was basically gonna pass Rashichi heed by the time he caught it. So I don't know enough about the rules they have on their special teams unit that if a gunner is in certain position that you don't take you don't you take the fair catch and you just walk out of there. So that's the only thing I'll say. It might not have been he might have been doing what he's been coached to do. But it sure seemed like there's some missed opportunities. It did and and I'll I'll spin it positively because that's the way my mind works. I've seen enough of training camp to know this guy's gonna be a factor this year and the fact that he wasn't and they won. I think we should be encouraged. Uh we've gone too long without talking about Sam Donald for people that have not heard. I'm guessing everyone has Mike McDonald reported that they have ruled out a fracture of the hip and during the game

that was what all the Twitter docs were talking about and that this could be a long term thing. And so that's been ruled out according to Mike McDonald. He did start by saying we got great news and then he kind of got back to Mike McDonald and it was like we had good news. Um and you know so I think they're they're checking in. I will say not to be negative but just to be cautious. Last year Zach Sharman A after the 49ers win they felt like they got good news and then it turned out it wasn't. So I don't think we're in the clear yet but the the the good really the good news here is we didn't get an affirmative negative. That makes sense. We didn't get confirmation that he's got a fracture. So good initial signs. Let's wait till tomorrow and get final signs. Vinod Kusla on Twitter. This is so funny. It's so funny like seeing because he's like a new Seahawks fan right like this is a new experience for him. Yes. Yes. He's tweeting through it. He says I'm going to get a cardiac arrest before the next Seahawks game or a cardiac test he says

the team and 12s won it tonight hard to imagine a better roller coaster. Welcome to the show my man. This is uh this is going to end me early in life. I'm taking years off right now. See I we don't have to do a whole show about the Kusla presser. I kind of loved it man. They're a very endearing family and I think anyone that feels differently I think there's something else going on like it was really endearing to see him like the father the mother the son just giddy for different reasons up there and I also had the opportunity to talk to some of the co-owners some of the folks that are you know Seattle based folks and just there's so much joy in that press conference and they were going to go to an owners the the Seattle based co-owners were taking them to a Seattle style tailgate with all the the co-owners before the the game and what a first experience like it would have been such a different thing if it came out Sam Sam was out for

the year and they lost this game it would have just been like oh my god so uh I'm really happy for them you know who hell said a crazy plate tonight. Cooper Cup that catch. Oh yes that was it's kind of I was kind of pocketed lost in my memory but yes I have no idea how he caught that on the right sideline with his left hand I thought for a moment that he had maybe let it touch the ground on replay it was clearly you know caught that was incredible and so I would be calling my lock too like that was amazing. What are the other plays we've missed you even Jeff are much better remembering these plays at this point I'm I'm the old guy in the in the room so I think the only other thing I want to hammer on is like less Hologny reps more price reps please like I think you guys are being hard on Hologny I thought Hologny ran fine tonight I think you ran fine I think price was way more explosive yeah way more decisive and have way more juice to him like it was clear no question

no question yeah yeah I think what else what did you guys think of Drew Locks game I thought at first it was a disaster and I think the second half he was mostly pretty good I think his completion percentage which they showed him the screen was very encouraging I don't thought he made some better throws but there's some really like really bad plays mixed in there like that's the road to JSN down in the red zone after the penalty like he wasn't open for a second and Gonzalez just knocked that down and like you said there are multiple players open on that play I thought he used his legs well I thought his pocket presence needs a bit of work there's times where there was a time where he got sacks really bad on first down and JSN just runs open runs open again he's staring at him then just takes the sack so I thought he probably looks like a backup quarterback honestly so but in that moment I think he did enough to win the game and outside he doesn't take that penalty they probably win the game half an hour before they do yes yes yeah

and with the play he makes right before that the run on first down was a phenomenal play and so yeah I thought it was pretty up and down but I think he was a lot better than what he looked from the first half let me ask you this way Evan let's assume for sure second that Sam Donald is not ready to come back next week in Arizona how do you feel about Drew Locke as your starter oh no we can beat Arizona I'm not worried about that I'm not worried about Arizona okay yeah I'm okay with it it's who did they got after Arizona Washington Washington okay I think they can win both of those games with Drew Locke what are you Jeff I mean obviously we'll wait and see but but about who what Sam's availability is but how would you feel in those two games every game just becomes a challenge I think Sam really really good like you saw the first throw he makes the JSN like that looked awesome and to be fair Locke made two throws that looked really good as well but I just think like the continuity of the offense the repeatability of the offense

it's gonna be a challenge because Locke it's gonna based on what we've seen historically he makes just inaccurate throws a lot more than Donald will not so every game becomes harder especially when they're they're they got some injuries that they're dealing with games that you should like I think tonight if Donald's healthy they blow them out but they barely got 10 points and three of them came after running into the kicker so who knows but then that's a couple games I'll just say this Jeff I was in a very dark spot in the first half and my personal private thoughts when they've gone me arrested if they were vocalized I went we were in such a dark spot let's be honest let's be honest I was I was very much in that first half like oh boy this is gonna be a rough year like if this is what's gonna happen this is gonna be a rough year and I think we were all feeling I think we were if you would ask everyone in our chat what's the chance this the actually gonna win

this game in the second quarter what do you think the answers would have been like what percentage chance would you have given them oh very low very low it was very low so 10% yeah there was only there were only down by a little bit but it felt like whoa like I didn't I mean to be honest I didn't think the defense was playing that great in the first half either like they were not getting that much pressure on Drake May they were they were struggling to contain him when he was getting pressured they weren't stopping the run the way they did in the in the Super Bowl they were giving up you know three four you know getting a lot of like second and manageable and like I don't know I felt like the there's nothing necessarily other than the run game on offense a little bit that was kind of going well and then what about the frickin penalties guys we ever talked about that yeah that felt like it was kind of a sneaky big part of this game when the when the Patriots were getting every single call in the sea ox were getting none Patriots were ahead then all of a sudden

you know from I think 10 minutes on in the third quarter the Patriots started to get penalized finally and all of a sudden the sea ox are ahead like it was a huge discrepancy for a while I'll just say this a certain Real Hawk talk team member was so down in the dumps in the first half that he personally texted Russell Wilson was like we need you to come back on dead ass service that is not a joke I'm not lying no he shared the screen shot and he was like he was like the the the reunions to happen don't don't don't just make it sound like there's somebody else I saw you tweet him and I'm freaking Twitter it's all pop it wasn't me I did text Russell Wilson saying that didn't you didn't you didn't you tweet Russell that like come home I was yeah I was tweeting him sexual things yes of course but like did I text him no I did not no well then come on you don't probably don't have his number but you you did know but somebody on our team does I know I know I know um what else dude anything else that we should talk about I'm just so happy I'm like I'm just I will sleep so much better tonight after this win um

feels like the seasons possible we got off on the right here here's my most negative thought and you guys talk me off this for a second like I don't want this to be a situation where it's the opposite of last year where there was a game they lost in the first week that was misleading and they ended up being much better after that uh that this is a week this this year that they win the first game and that we're all like happy and then it's like oh no I don't feel like that's the case I thought the defense the defense looks like it's gonna be really good again the offense should get going like right like I'm not tell me how I should feel about this I'm not reading too far into this game at all to be honest with you when you lose your starting quarterback on the fifth snap everything goes out the window offensively to me like if if anything like I thought our defense played out of their hearts and minds like yeah but I would say like up

until the final drive they were stopping that Patriots run game pretty pretty strongly I think there are 20 periods for 70 yards yeah like that's yeah yeah like it's they were doing really well and there were down a lot of guys you know what I mean so they were they were working with backups um let's not forget Nicki Minaj worry back next week's the key he's the key yeah but we might get Tory Horton back next week too well they got to figure out how to use these guys like a Roger Royal did feel like he was part of the game plan at all in the end and they got to figure out how they can use these five different weapons from they're going to be running a pretty conservative game plan with locks so I thought defensively I thought Murphy flashed a lot in the second half I don't know if you'll see it in the stat sheet but he had I run stuff where he just tossed the offensive yeah that was such a nice play I was pressuring he set that up for that third and 20 where him and Derek all cleaned it up and I thought Leo had some better rushes in the second half but yeah

I think I'll say yeah go ahead obviously say I know Horton's coming back but they got to figure out like they got weapons after weapons and really outside of JSN again when it wasn't much outside of that circus Cooper Cup get the cup score the touchdown there to New England stop playing because they knew that they was penalized like was that a clean play it was gonna be a touchdown yeah I think it was gonna be a touchdown there was nobody there to cover him so it wasn't I know what you're saying like I think New England also like we slow off the ball but there was no one there it was open so yeah I the only other thing I'll say a little bit is I thought Josh McDaniels had a better game plan um this game and I thought at times he was whenever Mike was sending spoon on blitzes and he had the secondary blitzing like they were doing in the Super Bowl they had an answer they were like replacing it with a screen or someone who I was very frustrating to watch and so like I thought I thought the the C-OX kind of seemed to adjust to that and understand

what they were doing better in the second half and this is a professional defense that's what they should do so I don't know guys I'm super excited anything else you guys want to say before we we wrap this stuff up I'm just happy the Patriots lost like they were they were they were they walked in a little air again there was a little too much smirking going on really yeah Drake may had a lot smirking going on in the first half I was uh maybe I'm reading into it but I didn't like the body language Boston Press is brutal man I that it's gonna be harsh I think uh on him and and then we'll see it was there any Rucini talk did I did I miss any Rucini talk no they had to see brought Mike Talman was terrible on TV oh you so bad man I've been Mike Talman and Jason Garrett on your broadcast oh my gosh they didn't show the sound garden show did you guys listen to like the Jason Garrett Mike my Donald full interview that was released this morning I could do it I listened to the whole podcast I just have to say this real quick and Jason

Garrett was like coaching Mike on seven yes and it was like it came across that way I don't know I don't think it was probably intentional but like Mike was came a he came across with super strong levels of humility so it wasn't like weird but it came across super cringe what do you do and dude know you know your place know your place is right what did you ever do as a coach I mean did he make the playoffs I think you probably did maybe once I don't know yeah outside of that outside of that Drew Lock leads the NFL in passing yards see how it's gonna be in first place for at least 10 days no matter what and we get to watch the frickin Rams go against the 49ers tomorrow night kick our feet up watch Grant Cohen talk about Australian rules football like you know this is this is fun we get the whole weekend to just enjoy being 1 and 0 this is good stuff this is good stuff yeah like overall I think it was a good result like when you have a win that pretty and when

things are working against you lose your quarterback you're down a much guys in the secondary I don't think there's too much to take away in terms of like defensive progression week one tends to be just try to survive in advance yes again week one is not we want this not tend to be an indicator future performance it's almost never so I don't think of the defense is gonna be like mediocre right I think what you said was accurate about Josh McDaniels had really good answers for a lot of those boot blitzes early and they were almost too obvious and like even the fourth and nine were Mac Collins gets wide open in the zone that wasn't really good play called to attack where they were so I thought they called a good game I thought they their offensive line protected better and I think the defensive line and I think the front seven and now the second year I think they're just going to get better the more reps they get it's got to remember there's no preseason reps anymore hmm these guys are just coming in cold so they weren't that sloppy they were just kind of getting their feet settled so each week they're gonna get better the more they play together the more they play and I think it's only gonna go up for here defensively yeah I think I think one play

that is going to stick in my brain for a very long time from tonight it's actually not a Seahawks player it's that Romeo Dodd's drop when he when he dropped that when he dropped that guys I knew the Seahawks were gonna win that football game because because I don't I don't think there's any emotionally emotional recovery from from a play like that to be honest with you and I don't know if you had heard Brian like earlier in the broadcast they had called Romeo Dobbs like a superstar receiver and I was like I was like and did I miss something like mega star superstar are we more odds like what yeah mega mind with that uh that guardian it's anyway it's just it's just just a sigh relief that's what it is and you write Jeff it's week one all the matters is you you get the victory and the Seahawks won 11 straight games tied franchise record for the most

straight wins they've had uh let's see if they can break that next week down in Arizona and uh Evan I'll be down there man I'll uh I'll be seeing you and uh hopefully hopefully celebrate in another win if uh things go the way we hope yes sir you want to go through some super chats we got some oh yeah yeah absolutely so thank you to everybody who donated um Victor Carrillo says the defense rallied for Sam and law came in clutch awesome team when we love to hear that D law 27 says thoughts and prayers out for Sam for old time sake can you win a game in the first quarter says no that gives me a little uh PTSD uh mister anything internet says Patriots should have run the ball I mean what was the what was the on that interception what was the yardage whoa what was the third and five and they were in like like a 15 yard line or something like that yeah they're in

the red zone it was supposed to be a quick game play at both tackles right or wrong and it was complete breakdown so if the uh I that's got to be drank maze like worst game of this career right I don't think there's I thought he played pretty well except that really I don't know yeah he made me didn't like once AJ Brown went out like he the way he was extending plays and like the play where he gets that was that third and short call but they they had nothing to work with um the interceptions he made all of them were just unacceptable plays like the first interception Romeo dubs is running wide open he throws it late and behind uh the play at the end it's just the stuff we talked about with Gino Smith though honestly it was the stuff that drove me crazy you have to know the risk of a Lord in that situation you have to know either you throw the ball away and let it fight another down or you kick a field go on fourth down you can't just throw the ball up there I know Brock Perty got away with the last year but that's a mistake you just can't make and I think it's happens point indicates all the good things you do in that game yeah thank you

Mr. Drake we appreciate you uh jet hawk 5150 says Drake may and Josh Job saved my birthday happy birthday dude happy birthday that's a hell of a good day um I'm not gonna repeat this name uh you had us losing to the pats so now you say 16 and 1 Brian that's true I mean I played both sides of this one I I told you I wasn't gonna change my prediction but I did give myself the opportunity to to change who I was gonna pick in my after I'd done the research I did pick the C-ox to win this game um and did claim when someone said you picked both sides I was like well the most information I had I ended up with the C-ox winning but I'm not gonna brag about it I think it's some ways if I was gonna brag I'd say I got it right both ways the C-ox lost this game and the C-ox won this game it just so happened that they did the winning last and that's what mattered that's a great way to articulate it uh Gary Simmons 1135 says did you guys ever talk about episode 5 of heart knots

hard knocks I couldn't find it I think we did right last we did yeah I don't know there's that much to talk about but yeah I think I think I actually I don't know if I think I did but I think we did our prediction show I don't so I don't think we did really talk much about hard knocks yeah but we're not gonna probably either Legion of 12 C-ox for the way let's go Mike McDonald said good news on the darn old front and we are grateful for that Jason Sass says Gohawks appreciate you all we appreciate you Jason am I crazy or on fourth and ninth at Chris on the broadcast call of Matt Collins dig route about 10 seconds before it happened and they converted I didn't catch that Jeff did you no I was just annoyed the Chris Collins worth was saying like annoying comments that Matt Collins go game he said at one point like when Matt Collins comes on the field great things happen and then like they lost the yard he came off the field right away so I was just yelling Chris Collins worth but I just want to read a tweet I saw I think that's not up what Evan said so well it said nightmare lost for the Patriots you blow a double double digit lead to drew lock can't capitalize on Ted penalties from Seattle only scored because of an under thrown

PI Romeo dubbs lays an egg AJ Brown goes out injured and Drake made makes a catastrophic end of game air Danny Parkins Fox Sports I thought that was dead on that he nailed it that is it would be a very discouraging loss I mean yeah and I feel back I really like drew lock but that that part of it losing to a backup quarterback is rough no matter who it is Peter Gohawks says LFG let's freaking go crazy win run more barnyard WTF feed price were they over to how many how many how many push pushes did they only did one did one and I got called on that did so yeah I didn't see the dollar yeah they were saying it was like it can't be within the full football is what they were saying I think it was I think it was a fair call I don't think it was on burner I think it was either on Abe or Brad yeah that's the call on Abe I wasn't looking I didn't see it so I he didn't he didn't

move it's it's that like like the like the full width of the ball you're not only the centers allowed to be in that zone I don't know like for as much as I was annoyed with the refs I thought that most of the calls were the right calls I wasn't that I wasn't that I don't know the ref yeah yeah yeah Zach Schwartz of friends says it was pretty sweet to see Mike stuff Josh McDaniel or McDaniel's in the locker room in the second half he did that's true Daniel Holdes says I wonder if they sit Sam versus Arizona even if he feels good enough to play I think we win that game with horse if he's if he's fine to play they'll play him if they if there's a reason to be cautious they'll be cautious but you don't take your starting quarterback if he's fully healthy and no worry it's gonna give you a rest week like that that that's happened in the NFL they pay they pay him a lot of money did not sit on the sidelines Sam Brown 2154 says Neomyaprinchuk play a player

of the game nobody should ever doubt Mike McDonald with DB's ever again we did have that conversation about whether he's like how he's done with cornerbacks and uh pretty good game that way Neomyaprinchuk's gonna get like a bag in two years gosh dang it okay um Hawks from Seattle we played bad enough to fire up Mcdonald and the team but still came away with the win go Hawks Donna gifted five Hawk Blogger memberships thank you Donna Robstatt and Kers is lifted yes Robstattin has been to so many of these games and loses so many of them so yeah did I miss pronounced his name it's take yeah but it's fine that's that's that's very on brand I I rob our sorry brother that's to win pdx that donated that thank you to win pdx uh a couple more ashton neff 1405 says that's Pat second and one early in the game shock they ran there versus take a shot could have flipped the game I don't remember what

that second and one was do you guys remember none off the top there were some weird there's a weird moments in this game I thought like when Mike McDonald called the time out before half to get them to punt the ball and then he started running running the ball twice the Patriots start calling I was like what the hell is going on I was my peak of depression that whole sequence that was going on there like we have to watch lock and I can't think of this at the end and then to be fair they they they got me back on board the second half but if I wasn't like feel purely depressed in that moment I would like whatever you have how was it watching the game in your new place dude it was it was fun it was fun I had some buddies over we were watching the game uh it felt good I was swearing at my house this place was a curse when darled left the game and things were going bad I texted my wife up there's a way to move but we end up with the game and yeah I think we guys said the off the top was so true though like that was such a peak here okay that was such that was so peak or down sea hot from a lot of

drive and I feel like I at one point in my life I'm going to experience ACOX game in Jeff Simmons house I I feel like it would be an experience I would love to as well we're just going to show up uninvited to be honest last one here the almighty dog does says horse blank lock is back and the dark side owns Drake May's mind yeah love it love it um I want to make sure folks we haven't already downloaded the prize picks app links in the description of the video use code HMA play five dollars get a hundred fifty dollars in lineups as a new user also want to remind people to check out pemko.com one of our sponsors uh pemko insurance app pemko.com and I'm a pemko customer and they've taken care of me really well so I'm excited to be working with them and we got good news if anyone enjoyed Evan's reaction to the chubby's short shorts commercial they have

signed up they want they want a piece of real hawk talk as a sponsor Evan and Jeff and Nathan are going to be getting some chubby's gear and uh we'll see we'll see what what Evan does with this newfound power um but we're we're gonna be getting chubby's and the entire audience is going to be getting chubby's as well so it's uh it's a it's a win-win for all involved interesting interesting uh this is already off to a fantastic start uh our lovely brothers uh I gotta I've been here since like 10 in the morning I'm not eating dinner uh I am I'm ready to go home so uh thanks to everybody who tuned in thanks to you guys for hanging out with me and uh let's uh let's click let's click go and I'll be by the way tomorrow morning 10 a.m. quandary digs and I will uh we'll talk about this game get quandary's opinions on what he saw go hawks baby anyway a.j. brown in a walking boot by the way oh

yeah I don't wish ill on him I just uh that's not great not great go 49ers oh oh can we talk about that for like one second sure are we are we rooting for the Niners I will never root for the Niners I will never be like be happy but I will be I'll be cheering for bad things to happen to the both of those teams like the worst possible like I'm not gonna cheer for injuries but I will cheer for them to just like I don't know I want things to go really badly for both of them yeah I'm just cheering against both teams the whole time so it's gonna be kind of fun I don't really care who wins uh it was great seeing even the Rams president dunking on David LaBarty today oh my god the Rams president is not putting my good books this office I was really going out of really what did the tweed say I missed this what you did yes president of the Rams god he said he quoted LaBarty and he's like something like I'm glad you're taking a break from your

Brock Purdy like love fest or something love fest and you always have to talk about the Rams or something like that like it was it was basically uh um you know rent free in your head kind of thing until LaBarty organization and it's like it was really nice to look at the whole organization the Rams organization has no self-awareness and talk about I would just love to see these two nasty shitty groups go out each other and rip each other to shreds that'd be great I'll be off for it I just saw the craziest so that's crazy by the way I'm gonna have to go dig that up yeah I just saw the craziest reaction tweet from a Patriots fan and I need to reach I need to read it out because it's so unhinged he says my coach went to rehab in the offseason for sex addiction instead of running a real training camp and lost a drew lock to open the season.

Patriots fans are pretty awesome I gotta say I mean they're like awful too but they like East Coast sports fans will just let loose on their team like they they're so harsh and it's kind of awesome to observe from like the northwest friendliness uh side of the world oh my god that's so funny yeah that is a hell of a tweet that's a good tweet oh boy all right all right let's uh click the button let's get out of here where we'll talk against it all right Jeff you're doing it I have no idea what to do
