Power - Neville Goddard

0:00The night subject is power. I do not mean the power of Caesar. I am speaking tonight with the power of God. For in this world of Caesar, I think all nations will admit that the land of ours is by far the greatest power in the world of Caesar, economic power, military power. And here we are against a ten-terrain nation in the final hands, the longest war in our history. We say we have an objective and that we have the means to achieve it. But we are unwilling to use the means of the health, or then not apply the objective to pick the means that we are willing to use. That belongs to the world of Caesar. If we do not modify the objective to pick the means we are willing to use, we will then cut the bait and forget it.

1:00And forget the so-called saving face. But I am not speaking of that kind of a power. I am speaking of the power of God which is called in Scripture, Jesus Christ. All the bines Christ, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Every bine wisdom and power exalted and personalized as God's companion in the creation of the world. That power is your own wonderful human imagination. That's the power of God. That is Christ, as I am concerned, that is Jesus Christ of the Scriptures. And overnight we are talking just about this power. The various gospel is marked and the first words define on them,

2:01lips of this power, the timestful throne, and the kingdom of God is a friend, repent and believe in the gospel. Now the word repent as we use in the world is not what Scripture means. When the user heard it means to feel remorse, regret that has nothing to do with the word repent. It's the great men who are a radical, a radical change of attitude, a radical change of mind. Can I see your objectives and that everything tells me that I can realize it? But do I have the power to realize objective? I tell you we have. We have the power. But what is the deep meaning of power? What effect it is in achieving one's purpose in life? Of why I have a purpose?

3:03Do I have the power? I tell everyone, yes, you're going to imagine the aim can't you? Can you imagine what it would be like if it were true? Can you feel what it would be like if it were true? Or the rest of the power? Now can you be persistent in it? Can you remain faithful to that aim as tell you what true? Now I don't care what your objectives you have the power to achieve it. If you know this power is the power of Christ. Who all things are possible to hear? These personified in Scripture, the rest go back and see how they're first personified. You'll be in the ancient tomb of the Book of Proverbs. The 20 second verse through to the game, the 36th verse. And these are the words, dark but satchmah. In the beginning of this way, the very first of his acts of old. One translation has an e-creation, but that's not a good translation.

4:09I can say 3-8, and I can pass you the thing. I can develop it. But it was with me in the beginning. I can say that I created my capacity to imagine. It was with me. I may not imagine correctly, but it was with me. So God possessed me in the beginning of his way. The very first of his acts of old. Before he brought forth the universe, before he laid out the foundations of the earth, I was beside him like a little child. I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him all this, delighting in his inhabited world. Now my sons listen to me. He who finds me by his side, and obtains paper from the Lord, but he who misses me in his himself, all who hate me, love them.

5:12You read his words and relate the products. Pan is personalized as a little child. God's companion in the creation of the world. You will read it. It doesn't make sense, but I check it with my own personal experience. Having practiced the art of repentance, and having experienced the breath of about, with the little child, I know exactly what the prophet made when he was inspired to write those words. One day you were in conflict with the creative power in you, personified as a little child. The whole vast world is completely misunderstood. I think it's a little child wrapped in cloths that was found by the shepherds 2,000 years ago. That's a sign of the birth in man of the creative power of God. So God is actually bringing forth his creative power in man. And by His brought from birth in man on me, so that man actually becomes part of the creative

6:16power of the universe. The sign of His birth, the sign of His awareness of it is that of a little child. So here I was lacking. I was deciding like a little child when he brought forth the universe. So in everyone in prelingely form, the thought of the creative power of the universe claimed the sign of my arriving at that point is symbolized in that of a little child. But I find the child by a thumb-like. Now I have life in myself. I'm no longer an animated body, I'm a life-giving spirit. If I miss it, I think of myself. All who hate me love death. Now this world is the world of death. So you tell the story to the world and the majority would rather have the bitter cloths and the street or the building, something today that is secure. That you know about me, about power. Take the building away, destroy the building, and leave the power to recreate it.

7:19Don't take the meaning of creative power, but take all the things I create. But the world rather have the things created and the power to create. And so those who hate, there's our death. There is our death with the whole vast world in the case. For everything that is built today, gradually fades. It comes into the world. It waxes, it wanes, and it vanishes. But leave me the power to bring anything into this world. I'm taken from here, if you will, anything that I bring into the world. But don't take for me the creative power that I may have to create anything in this world. Now what does it mean by repentance? It means this. It tests the individual's ability to aim to impute and partake of the nature of the opposite. I keep someone and they are well there behind the eight more, financially. They have a pure agent. They have to buy clothes, feed themselves, and maybe they have obligations to society.

8:21Others to feed, others to clothe, and maybe a father, another. But I mean them and they are not employed. Now it tests my ability to put them into the state where they are gainfully employed. I bring them before my minds, I represent them to myself as gainfully employed. And to the degree that I am self-presuited of the reality of what I'm seeing, I'm hearing, I'm doing, to that degree they become exactly what I am doing, all in my imagination. For every tomorrow or in immediate present they actually conform out to what I'm doing in the way I have fun to create a power. I try to gain with another one. I try it with another one. I keep on trying it. I have friends with an I-challet. I've asked everyone who listened to me, I'm deviant to try it. See if you can't exercise that same power in you is not a different power, there's only

9:22one Christ. They are a numbers of Christ but around the earth, only one Christ. And that is your own wonderful human imagination. So I exercise my imagination and it proves a certain performance. And in you exercise your imagination and it proves a certain performance is the same imagination. The individual eyes as never individual eyes as you because of your name. Then you share it with another and you challenge to others. Well, if I can try it to the point where I was waiting to try it, I can try it, it proves itself in the testing or we are funding. So when you read in Scripture, I am funding from whom? I am from the one of whom knows isn't the Lord and the Prophet's realm. Jesus is the master. For the word Jesus simply means what your power means, it means salvation. It means to say, if I save someone from poverty, by putting me to a state of after-ones for

10:24the next Jesus, I'll take this right in the same power. If someone is unwell and I represent him to myself as a being, an important help, and he conforms to it, then that's Jesus. He saved him from what, from being unwell. What if I tried and tried and tried and proved yourself, what does it matter what others think? What does it matter what anyone thinks about what I am talking about? I only know that it proves itself and works, whatever works will then try. So this is the power of which I speak. Now some peculiarity on the outside, you don't buy it, is in age, you exercise it. So you are told to rebate that the beginning of the exercise of the power, when you read a certain degree of intensity, that power is born. I'm spawning you and then personified as a little child. And you are getting yourself coming out of your own scar. And here's a little child wrapped in swathing clothes.

11:26And it is your child. Now you didn't form some little child in your head. The child is a sign of your birth, you know, it's a sign of your arrival into the degree of the stream of God. Once now you know one with the creative power of God. It is only God, nothing but God. Man is all imagination and God is man. And existed us and we and him, the creative power of God is man, is imagination. That actually Jesus Christ himself, that is the order Jesus Christ. So all of a sudden you find that this is what the world is talking about, what they're putting on the outside. I may some little daughter when he is housed in everyone. Let me show you from my own experience what I know about this law. I can waste power in the world of Caesar. We're doing it by the billions every year with our little war. And all the nonsense we have in the world.

12:26This is all you can waste. You can misuse it, but you can waste it. I can misuse it every moment of time by imagining fun love with things about people. I love the things about myself. I can use it hatefully, but I can't waste it. I'll show you what you can't waste it. One night, many many years ago, I suddenly became overwhelmed of two beings. I am the one perceiving them. So the three, but I'm the perceiver. They are about these styles that are beautiful. The one imaginable. I paint them. I angel of beauty and of everything. There was nothing. And below me, the most monstrous thing that man could ever conceive. Double in here, I can paint, but I can speak. It's called ghastity. I looked at it, then it looked at me and then it poured into this beautiful and jelly me. And I called this woman, now.

13:30Well, I was so annoyed with this monstrous thing that I'd probably paint good no-chit. It loved violence. It made on violence. Every time I was violent, it became squalga. And this beautiful thing, knowing, but this one is calling it mother. And suddenly, as I am painting this thing, I realize that this is the embodiment of all of my mis-paint energy. As this one is the embodiment and personality, apparently no good thought I'd ever entertain. I looked at this thing, I had no one with whom I could swear. I felt the compassion I have never known before. I looked at this monstrous thing and realized it is but the result of my own misuse energy. It never should have been given birth. And I said to myself, I will redeem you if it takes me journey. I have prayed to myself to redeem it. You know what happened?

14:30That very moment before my eyes, the whole thing with it, that monstrous thing, the embodiment of power, horrible looking thing, it all ducks no-chit and small and small, and it had no trace of ever nothing new present. But as it got small and small and disappeared, the energy returned to me. I felt, in full power, I collected that thing, anything that power returned to me, it wasn't wasted. It was misused but not lost. Nothing is lost in all my holy nothing. So you can't lose the power. You can misuse the power but you can't lose it. But you were confronted one day in a monstrous thing like that. And you'll exactly what I did. You won't wait to redeem it at the very moment that you prayed yourself and you made it. I'll redeem you if it takes me eternity at that moment, that monstrous thing with us, it's small and small and this one blows. It becomes radiant like a star.

15:32She is the embodiment and the permanent the solidification during the other greater of your own noble wonderful thoughts. Every lovely act of yours means her. Every ignoble act of yours feeds him. And they walk with you. This one visibly the lovely things, encouraging you to be noble. And this one visibly the violent things. If you are the cross-road as to what you should do, this one wants to be afraid. He could only feed on violence and this one can only feed on the noble love with what's the man. And man creates, you see your own creation and it's all the same power of your own wonderful human imagination. From then on you know where you are. You are a creative power and you go out to change everything in your world and they get to the fall to something love with you. And you don't do it on the outside, you do it on the inside, you do it all in your imagination.

16:32Imagination is God and we're eased above the time. His name is I am forever and forever and forever that's God. And yet when you do the personification of your own imagination, you see a man. And that man is in for no doubt. You're also meeting in another garment and his in for no power. He is in for no wisdom. And you realize that the being that you really are is approaching the keep pace all the parts. When you meet him, his fundamental being is loved. But the altar is power and you see him as power. And he also is wisdom and you see him as wisdom. And you don't have to ask any question as to who are you. It's so obvious that you stand in the presence of infinite power or infinite wisdom or infinite love. And you know the truth of these statements of scripture. When you say God is love, you stand in the presence of God, infinite love and it's a man.

17:35Our side is the rest of our impersonal force. This is not the impersonal, this is very personal. God is a man. You are a man. God is no more. Your own humanity learn to adore for everything here is God. And God being man is every attribute is personified. So when you meet God as power, it's man. Meeting with wisdom is man. Meeting with love is man. So I tell you this power which I speak is right here in your own wonderful humanisation. Don't turn to another. Don't turn to anything on the outside. It's all within the kingdom of heaven is within you. And God is in the heaven. But I turn with the angry return. I turn to my own wonderful human imagination. And now I have taken what I want as me in my world and persuade myself that it is true. To the degree that I am self-versuaded, it becomes true.

18:37It factes, closes itself in what the world calls reality. But the reality is not the visible thing they see. The reality is the unseen state which I believe. To take the oath by the dawn, it renews itself by the invisible state. The little I am, you say, with the light. But the reality of that land that form that is forever is unseen by man. So here in this wonderful world of ours, you have the power. You don't need potential power. They're going to it. You can buy help. You can buy respect or you can buy for a little while. But they don't need to respect you. Let the money go and they don't respect you. You don't need anything in the world of Caesar to buy what you want. Come to your toe, buy it without price without money. And you say, buy it without price, well then you see it's not Caesar's call that you will. You use your own wonderful human imagination.

19:39I'll give you the story. A clear mind themselves. You enter this barbershop. There are four bars. He went to the boss barber first and after about three visits, the barber couldn't take him to stay and he took the fork away. The last year, he rather liked the way this man called his hair. He got off into it. And he realized the man is loving, barbering. He loved it. That's all I can eat it. He really loved it. He said, I just love it. I wouldn't do anything else but I can't hear. I just love it. This is what my friend did. He imagined that man the head of the shop. Didn't consult him, didn't consult the boss barber, didn't consult him one. Yes, this one. He liked him. He imagined that he was the head of not this shop but this shop. Six weeks later, the barber decided the owner to unload the shop. How he raised the money, my friend never told me, but he bought the shop.

20:43I'm moved from the old man, the old man of the children's role, to the boss barber. In the last year, this one sold out. He came here to visit about two months ago. There was some meeting where contests were on the barber's. He bought two of his barbers with him. One was committed. He couldn't come that late. He brought two. They took back out of five prizes. They took back four. He won two, a person of second and two of his barbers won two seconds. He just entered another contest of the entire region. That is the seven western states and he won plus the thousand dollars. A big prize now on his wall. All because of my friend's use of imagination. This man has a terrific control of this barber. He's advertising ancient. About, I would say, the early thought of this year. He's all say to him, this is our best but can't. And I don't want to lose it. But you know the industry today is on the skids.

21:46And he does do something to pull it up. While he sat down he said, I'll get the matching creates reality. My only problem would be to place these men who believe themselves so wise. I persuade them to let me go all out with my campaign. From the premise that is already an accomplished fact. I can advertise if this thing is possible. I've got to say it has been tried and proven. In my ads. He worked out the entire thing. When these 20 main all multimillionaires, for this is one of the huge industries of the world. This is the international industry. When you work the entire thing out and prepare it for these 20 main and the board, they thought themselves above all this. They were ethically above all things. Their moral code would unallow it. But my frame persuaded them to base this out on dog operates. That imagining creates reality. So you want something created? Leave it to me.

22:46I will take your desire. I'll make it something that is already a fact. You voice it. The first quarter of this year. That industry not only arrested that motion down. Turn it around and their profits, not their growth. Their profits, the first quarter of this year. Was 75 million dollars more in the first quarter of last year. 75 million more. I was thinking of a net profit. Now these wise men with their wonderful ethical codes. They allow it. They saw the money in the bank. They saw all these things and they saw call ethical moral codes went through the window because they saw another principle. Which they did not know. He is compared to them. I saw the letter. He is compared to them in the advertising field. The boss, my friend's boss. He had denied my head off you. You use the principle that we have always used in our work.

23:47Which for the dog and I, he never did it at all. The dire exactly what you did is trying to figure out the point of what he's doing. I mean, it's that he makes the claim that he acts in you and that always use it. And no one can work for other principle. Unless he's aware of this principle and his buyer. We are concerned about this religious background. He could be a Catholic, Protestant Jew or aegis. But he has to live by this principle. And I saw that matter. The famous issue. Just a fishy to get the world who we can see in it to come forward and tell him what he did. But here is the same one in the barbure. He goes to every side of the morning by appointment and the boss barbure, and brings for it right on the dog. Every side of the, he is right there on this cap. He loves him and he took him from the wrong man on the Tobin Co. and pushed him right up. He realized the man likes studying here. That's what he likes. He just loves it. Or right there'll be the best. If you like it, be the very best in the trade.

24:50Tell me that you want. Maybe you want to be a wife. Oh, some giving a home. That's what I'll be like. I'm not a little bit to work. She has had 10 children. I live in a home with her for complete service. My sister has never worked, so she lives at home with her in service. My wife worked until I took a four to keep up. They were having a four to keep up as they were in stock. So she stopped. That's almost two years after we got married. Two years after what I couldn't, I took a four to keep up. But now, from now on, you don't work. And so she hasn't gone back to work. So, tell me what you want. I'm there. Let me persuade myself that what you really want you have. To the degree that I am self-presuated, you have it. You get it. If I can persuade myself, well, then I failed. But I have been having the strength of your energy, because I tried it lovingly. So, anytime you use your imagination lovingly, on behalf of another, you use it wisely.

25:51Even if you didn't succeed in producing the results that you were seeking, you used it wisely. You were not then in time to the months that I did. But the changes are, everyone in this unknowing is a bit of that monster. But everyone is taught it to misuse the energy. And it forms itself into the horrible, horrible thing. Did you ever sit down and you want to put it in a thought and front? It wasn't a lovey thought. It came from the thing that you built that mis-spaint energy. A monster's being that one day will meet you on the threshold and confront you. And you have the redeem it. Because Christ must be redeemed. Although he is the Redeemer, he also is one to be redeemed. Because he is only energy. He is power. The infinite creative power is Christ. The power of God. So, the power which I speak is your own wonderful human imagination. That's God. So, when I tell you that man is all imagination,

26:54and God is man, and it's just us and really him. The eternal body of man is imagination. And that is God himself. The divine body in Jesus, and we are his members. But everyone could imagine that for all our members of the one body. So, this is a unscoken art in the eight chapter books. I was deciding that a little child. Find me and you find life. Meet me and you injure yourself. Take me and you love death. So, the one who finds him is born to know about. And unless you be born to know about, you cannot begin to be able to know about. And the birth of the birth is soon pleased, symbolized in that of a little child, where art is hardly built. So, it's not something you've been that took place two thousand years ago once and for all. It is taking place. So, he was started with repentance.

27:55Repent and believe the story of the gospel. And to repent is the challenge of the test you. Can you take a man from the lowest point in the Barbarian? Are making the boss? Can you represent him to yourself as one who reads in charge, who loves it and you love him, but it's why. To be loved him, what matters my eyes are is one that really was important in his life. But the man suddenly rose suddenly to the highest place in his shop. And now in the entire western area, he is one of the prizes. And this one in this advertising agency, he can write his own ticket today. The boss said to him, you just put me in one. The boss gives him, well, I would say, three or four times a year, a huge big, unstineless of a bonus check. He wants to keep him. My brain has no desire to quit, but the boss is so eager to hold him.

28:56There's one bonus after the other. And my friend, are you taking it? Why shouldn't he? So, I ask everyone here to try it. Don't just listen to it and not try it. You are the oblong power. It doesn't operate itself. And so when I know what I should do, what I do it, to sleep tonight or right, I might speak to you. What state of consciousness am I speaking? I've somewhat been unwanted for them. I rise tomorrow to find myself unwanted. Ignore the tax of life. I'm assuming that you are wanted. Ignore the tax of life and assume that you are affluent. I'm seeing how things work in your world. You're all from your way. You are creating out of a power that is infinite. And you don't need any contacts in the world. You don't need to know the right people. Or anything else in the world. All you need to know is Christ. And Christ is your own wonderful human imagination. What else do you need to know?

29:56But Christ. So, I'd no one tell you these out there. He looks like this. There is no personal representation in Scripture concerning Jesus Christ. Not one little thought is mentioned concerning what he looks like. Yet our churches have hundreds and hundreds of paintings. Note you alike. Each time you do that is what Jesus looks like. It's just like you. As your children's Scripture, it does not yet appear what we should be. But we know this much. When he doesn't appear, we should know him. Why? We should be like him. It sounds like you, when you appear. So, let no one tell you that he looks other than you because that's not Christ. And yet, in spite of the Second Commandment, make no grave an image unto me. We have all these little indulgences. People buy and they bow before it and call that fight. Something made with a human hand. And they forget the maker and worship the thing made. Don't forget the creator. The creator is your own wonderful human imagination.

30:58Whatever you create is less than you, the creator. So, you can create a fortune or you can take it from you. You can create another one. So, whatever you can make, you can keep on making it. If they take it from you. So, this is the power of which I speak. I am not speaking of any earthly power. Many a man this night, less than I was involved in this for a few months. And my brother, who has made quite a fortune, and he was talking about these men. And he didn't realize what he was saying. He mentioned five men, all multibillionaires. But when he got through telling me of this, how they worked so hard, and they did all this, they did all this money. I said, Rick, you admire them? I certainly, they are powerful. They were powerful. You just think it's side biographies for me. Where pictures are side men, the last one you paint, it is only 63 years old. He has, you tell, they have a 35 million.

32:01And after telling me to each, he doesn't know. He doesn't know his name. He doesn't know anything. And all of a sudden, it put the burden as well. And they say, chew. Many cues. And he keeps on chewing forever. And they'll say, swallow. And he swallow. And you call that a man? So he has a 25 million, so what? And the others, so they begin all their time while making money, just making things. I've everyone you mentioned and designed for me. Well, I wouldn't, I wouldn't continue when I was angry if I had one in his place. So he has money and he's totally unaware of the fact that he has one make-up. So he has 25 million. And that's what you call a man. And that's not my concept of a man. I am telling you something entirely different, Rick. You have got the money. It never happened to you. So you have millions, too. You want to be like that? All these thoughts are the main thing. Together in entire life, you'll make it an amazing of things and you'll start with the worship of things.

33:01Don't you start worshiping things? You start worshiping God and only God and God is your own wonderful human imagination. And don't you forget it. So if this building is yours, the point that burns the night. So what? You know what you did to build it? Build another one. You tomorrow you have the whole thing burned flat. And so don't be concerned about what you've accumulated as things in the world. Buying God and worship only God. And God is not on the outside. You will never see on the outside. You've seen it in because can you see I am? You can see I am a man. You can see the man reflecting. You can say I'm a poor man. I see the man reflected in the eyes of those who know his poor. And you can see a big concept you hold of self. But the conceiving being you don't see. That's God. I can't get to myself to resist that or the other. The concepts will be reflected in society. And men will tell me who I have conceded myself to be. But no man knows who I really am. By the conceiver they don't know.

34:03But they know what I've conceded myself to be. My bank balance will tell the bankers. What I've conceded myself to be is the potential for. And all these concepts, they will see concepts. But they tend to see me the conceiver. Well don't forget the conceiver. That's God. And that being is your own bondable I amness. That's God. And they never got another. And never will be another. So God is bringing forth his own being. Because he's buried in us. And he's bringing it up to enter the stream of creativity. So that the same one being, God is its impolite, in potential. But God is not impolite. In actual fact, because then he'll be dead. He couldn't expand. He couldn't go beyond what he is. So God is ever-expanding. There's no limit expansion. There was only a limit of contraction. He took about himself that limit when he became level. That was the limit of contraction, the limit of opacity. Now he breaks the shell by my exercise within me of the law repentant.

35:04And so I exercise my imagination. And then he breaks the shell. Now there's no limit now to expansion. No limit to translucence. It was only a limit he placed about himself. Which was the limit of the day. Which is opacity and contraction. So that is infinite in potential. And everyone here is going to join that wonderful stream of creativity and the one with God. Now when you hear it, don't just hear it. And forget it. Try it. Pull it to the extreme test. And then tell another. And have the other tell someone else and spread the good news. This is called the gospel. Or the word gospel simply means good news. This is the good news about God. How God became man that man may become God. What a God's name is I am. And I know I say I am. It's the core of my being. I can say I'm sick. But I can get over sickness. But I can't get over being I am. I can get over being rich and become extremely poor.

36:07But I can't get over being I am. So he actually became the core of my being. That's the center. Well, that's my being. Well, if that is God and that's my being, well, he became me. God actually became me. But I may become as he is. He took upon himself this limitation that I may become what he is, which is infinite and explain forever. So you try it tonight. Try it with anything in this world. The unmarried, if you desire to be married, what symbol in the world would imply that you are married? A little band in this western world, a little band around this thing. Not around any other thing. Around this thing. It doesn't have to be the biggest aspect of the world. Just a plain little dough ring. If you were a player, it would imply you're married. Sneaks tonight as though you were one. Don't put your physical stomach. Put your imaginary stomach.

37:10I'm using it in your imagination. You can do it. Feel the ball. Can you feel it? Then feel a piece of still. Feel this. One after the other. Can you discriminate between all these different sensations? If you've been discriminated between this, an attendance ball, and the baseball, a piece of silk, then you can't discriminate between nothing. There must exist, though, unseen by your eyes. There still must exist. So why can't discriminate between these unseen objects? These objects, though, unseen must be real. Well, I'll take that and put it there. But feel when you wear it, that you're proud of the one who put it there. You don't have to see what it looks like. When it's put there, you'll be proud of his name. To wear it, and you'll be proud of him. Just put it there. You know how I know that? My wife did it. She did it. Actually she did it.

38:10One day she was in the classroom, a stock called Stinkitit. And this one said to her, why do you take off your wedding ring? She said, I am not married. Obviously don't fool me. You took off your wedding ring. She said, but I did. I'm not married. I'll even tell you what's made. And she started off with nid. Neville. Neville. Never. She didn't quite get it, but she was coming very, very close to it. She was actually sensing what my wife in consciousness was feeling. When I first met her, I wanted her. The very first time I knew her. I was a mario. But I was in tango. Was I in tango? But by just law, I disentangled myself. Without hurting anyone, I disengaged myself to all these complexities. So that I could actually legitimately say, would you marry me? But in the meanwhile, she was wearing the ring. I hadn't yet put it there, but she allowed me to put it there.

39:12And set as though I had put it there. So I tell you, unmarry lady, if you desire to get married, that you don't. If you do, that's the way to do it.
