I've seen products. Yeah, you kind of have to like get to a routine of yourselves, even like off the field, not just practice, like, like, prepare for things, how you just, in general, just the next step up, the next level is just way different, so that's pretty much how it goes. Do you feel like you're physically ready to put a total claim on your record in this level? Which is more of the better thing up there, or is there still some little growing need for you? I think both, honestly, I mean, physically and mentally, I can grow a lot more. It's just, with time, I'm just going to try to work as hard as I can. What's the Jake good on his career feeling? Like, I'm like, I'm playing here for a better bit in the high level. Yeah, it's definitely, it's been great, you know, in a coach's lower than I. Obviously, I can't really learn from anyone better. He's been through it all, then at the high level, been great. I mean, you just got to take in everything he says, and really just apply to your brain. What level is that? Definitely, definitely. That's what he's talking to you about, and he's done it the way he's done it that the level is done. Yeah, yeah, I mean, it's crazy to really think about it.

As James learned, I just give you tips on how to put linebacker. It's just like, I'm definitely going to be paying attention to him locked in. Like, I got to do this kind of tells me to see, you know, it's not going to get done. I'm not sure how much of a relationship you could have had before with Ryan Lee and TJ. What has that been like with those basketball players? Yeah, it's been cool. We're all cool. It's not anything we're anything. We're all competing at the same time. Ryan Sharpen's iron, that's how the lineback room is. We're all brothers. We're all close for each other's best friends, but we're still competing now. James talked earlier today about the fact that we had to just learn from Toby. But we just know from Tommy, and you have to just learn from somebody. You know, what does that experience mean for you? The fairly different years kind of you two going for the right though? Yeah, so I've really just been, I talk to Sunny and I do everything about it. I just kind of like to watch and see how he does things and how the older guys do things to like kind of replicate that and how they prepare. And that's a part of being the young guy coming up. I just kind of like mentally see how do the guys that have been through it do good at it. Like I need to be like that.

So that's really my mindset. What is the hope in to hire a state pipeline being to you? Yeah, I mean, that's just now getting started. I feel like hopefully we can get more and more of those guys. It's cool. I was the first one that committed from home and straight to here. I know Chip a few years ago came here and played some running back. But I mean, that would be definitely a cool thing to start going. How much do you lean on maybe some guys that are still there or are there some relationships you maybe still have that kind of work with some of my life? Yeah, kind of let them know what things are like and also maybe try to put it on their great pitch. Yeah, for sure. I'm definitely, all my friends are asking how it's going on here. I mean a lot of kids, a lot of state fans there. So I like to spread the word a little bit and tell them what's going on. It's pretty exciting. Yeah, at the same time, Sam and Iraq are like the two that the hostage pushing for us. So I'm always sliding things. Obviously, Sam just committed so that worked out. But next step is Iraq. You mentioned watching Sunday. In fact, it's like what have you picked up from them and what I guess the rest is here about this game?

Yeah, I mean, he is just how he mentally like, I know he's been through it for a while. But he runs a whole defense. He's in every spot exactly where he needs to be lead. It's just how I want to replicate my game. It's a situation, so pretty much every game. It's a game. That is defensive tackle. How is that defensive? It's not good. I'm not the center stone just yet. But we've been rotating times to see what best works. And we've been all grinding at the center. You see something. Is that about the physical stuff? Is that something else that you're right about? Most of us just gave them just a teleposition. That was the main thing. Just seeing everything. But Tali, you really have a lot throughout the process. Tell me you're better than going after them. Going to the master church again. What are some of those things you were talking about?

What kind of lessons do you have to learn? Really, he told me. The main thing he would tell me was stop over thinking. Just go out there and play. And that really helped me because you know new position. Trying to find my rareness. So it was pretty good to give assistance on it. What do you think about the real thing? What do you like the situation that you would like about it? I'm pretty tight. I mean, the strength wise, like I was saying, at speed, I guess those words, that's really helps me a lot. What were the conversations like when this first came out? That you possibly think, who are you talking to? What was it like in your mind when they asked you about it? Well, I talked to Coach Jay. Coach Jay was the main one. He wasn't forcing me or nothing. He just said, if you want to move inside, you can't. If not, you stand dead. And you can't do that as well. But I saw that I could help the team out. Get some death right there so I chose to move inside.

What is next? Yeah, Jack, then Jack, JTE, Tileek, every time to a great leaders, ordered on the field. They'll help me with just simple stuff. If I didn't know where to go, get some down, they'll tell me, or they just like hanging out with me, doing an approaching. Just a lot of different small things that got brought us closer to like last year. They already started doing this year. I haven't started yet. But I want to give a tear. Yeah, I feel like, maybe we teach now, we do that. Anybody can be a leader, no matter what year, first week. So I'm more junior or senior. Or even if we're walking, everybody can be a leader. Just, yeah. But when did it hit you last year that, yeah, this technique, this thing can work for me. You know what I mean? You have to grow into it. I had to grow into it a little bit. It's very new. I had to play a D in my own life. But I had a talent to help me, like I said,

throughout the whole process. Yeah, when did it really strike you that I could be a factor? Yeah. Oh, you know what game or, you know, how do we do? Do you feel comfortable on this or anything else? I would say closer to us to playoffs, meet up with talent to a lot. I would feel comfortable, okay, I can actually do this. Because when it showed me some stress, I have like, see, hit like, see you can do this. And that really helped me get the confidence and know that I can. Yeah, but then you became a factor. You became a factor especially, you know, especially through the playoffs and stuff. What did mean to you to be a factor that early? All the word of God, first of all, to keep me healthy, to keep doing that. But it's been a lot that Coach James trusted me about to go on end of the big games like that. And I knew that I would be able to produce. What about your skillset, do you think? Good so far. Definitely speed and strength. Those are my main two. And I was saying, will help me inside of those guards. I think that was really right inside. I really wanted to be a champion. I wanted to be a champion.

So what's the changes in the moment? And to be able to just realize that your body's taken in there. What is the moment for you to be able to do what you're actually thinking about? Definitely. The Marma Bay thing also, and so I thought the interview, some of those interviews I said, the main thing was being a team player. And moving the three-tags was going to help the team. So I was willing to move this hand through it. It's the comfort zone. Jason and Will and Tim Tawar. Eighting, disordered, effort to tackle. Seven-thousand deal. It's very competitive. We all come in trying to see where we need to get better. Just to keep moving forward. So it's pretty good competition. And I love them. And Drake, you made the move during the bi-week last year, is that right? What was the toughest part about that whole crash course? Really, Nathan, I really embraced it. I knew that I made the move inside in order to help out the team.

And we had some really great years last year. Let's learn. JT Jack, Kenny Kerry, Kenny Jay. So it was pretty good, and then moving the three-tags, I also asked him to go down there while still getting able to showcase what I got there. Did you feel like you just needed to get done quickly? Like, did you feel that pressure to get it done quickly? Because you needed to be ready for that next game? No, they were all in on me, just whenever I'm ready. Just let them know how I feel about moving in or standing out. Can you just get asked about, you know, these are three-tags. Now, it's the room with you. You played as a freshman. So it takes place a pressure. So you see some drum lanes and these guys. I think they should be prepared to be the first. JT players, trade them all the guys that came in, they continue to work hard every day. Even if they don't get it the first time, they'll ask us, what do I do in this situation to help me out? So the ability to keep trying to learn from people that's playing in their big stage, that's the way it really gonna keep them going.

Were you surprised how quickly things did start to click? For you and the side, just students. Given you said they were gonna be patient with you, but by the time you get to the playoffs, you're playing quite a bit. Is that a surprise? I'm quickly interested in trying to happen. Not really. I knew once I got it, Coach, it was gonna trust me a lot more than two going out there each and every time. So I appreciate them. Like I said earlier, thank you, Lord. And thank you guys. All right. Thank you. Thank you. You know, I'm just a guy that's gonna try to make the most of the opportunity. Whenever it comes, whenever it shows, and you know, I take pride in that, obviously, you know, the number of opportunities, wherever you are, maybe limited, but that's why I say you gotta make the most of them. And each and every day, man, I'm just trying to get better, better at my craft, been a better teammate, been a better person, all the intangible things. And like I said, when I'm gonna come to my way, I just wanna make the most of it. I'm gonna let those sit down instead of the opposite. Is that a conscious decision? Or is that something that just kinda happens? I think a little bit of both. I think just the guy that I am, my competitive nature.

Obviously, I love it to compete with others in this game, in this sport, but I compete with myself a lot. And obviously, some of our downs have been things I haven't been able to control. Obviously, talking about injuries and things of that nature. But some of the other things, on a day-to-day basis, I think, just being the competitive guy that I am, is just something that's inside of me. I always wanna be better than I was the previous day. So... When you look at the speed in the room, when you're at U, and also John Ross, what does he notice about that, especially? You wouldn't be that loud. Yeah. I mean, you can look out there on the field, man, and find around trying to make plays. And for me, and I'm sure John, as well, every time you're on the field, you just wanna put that speed on tape. No matter if you're number one reading the play, or the last reading play, you're always just gonna put that speed on tape. And obviously, the quarterback's to see that, the coaches to see that,

and hopefully, more opportunities come from that. And it's always going on. There's no around the NFL that they might wanna ship the workouts to Lee Jr., which alive, thinking about injuries and prevention, towards that. And some have talked about how offseason's coaching for players, what that was like. What are your thoughts on that? What do you consider? Yeah. To be honest, I haven't really quit much thought into it. I feel like now, like, I'm a year six and a week, I kinda got a... Not kind of, but I have a pretty good routine. I've been able to know how I've scheduled my offseason, in terms of dates, and report dates and all that stuff like that. But, sure, if they're willing to push it back, I'm not gonna be mad, because that kind of just gives us more time. Obviously, with our families. And kinda doing the same things, just working out, like, the first two weeks of OTAs, it's kinda just working out and training and stuff like that. Which, I mean, we're kinda doing already, you know what I mean? But then I see the side of it coming in when we do, because, we've got a lot of new faces, guys that you sign in for agency, and then, obviously, the draft.

So, I mean, it's not a bad thing that we come in when we do, because guys get to kinda be around each other, and know each other, and create that bond early on. Any second memory history for yourself, do you think that schedule system help in terms of injury recovery and streamwind after the season? I mean, yes, and no. Speaking personally, I feel like a lot of my injuries have been things out of my control. I feel like I've had a lot of freak injuries. And, you know, can prevent, I don't know, but I mean, more time off, more recovery, I mean, if you're doing it the right way, then it's definitely beneficial. So, just to check around back in 19, the Eagles were very interested in you. What do you remember from that period, that process? Yeah, it's actually funny, because I took a top 30 visit here, and I remember my visit, vividly, coming in, just really loving the place, loving the staff, loving the people, especially like just having conversations with Howie, and just kind of just being in the building. Like, it felt right to me. And I remember going home after my top 30 visit,

talking to my girlfriend, wife at now, but, and my mom, I was like, I really liked the Eagles. And I was kind of one of my teams going into the draft, like I thought, that I might be here. And I know that there's been talks that, you know, it almost happened or whatever. But, I mean, in hindsight, things always work out how they're supposed to be. You know, now I'm here. So, I don't know if that, it was meant to be like that, obviously it was, but, you know, now I'm here. So, you want to be installed here. Do you feel that levels of playing field for you with your competition at all? So, I think, obviously, with Kelly Meier here, you know, at the end of the day, for me, like football is football. And obviously, like I said, like, being with a familiar face, I'm in Nick. So, working with him and kind of like, knowing what he's done in the past. And then obviously, Kelly Meier, a different dynamic. So, for me, it's been very easy to kind of just be in here and get an offense and understand it. So, yeah, I think that's a credit. So, another reason why I came here,

just knowing Nick has some type of hand in the offense with Kelly Meier. So, it definitely helps me. Did that get a brand new jail in her school? Keep saying it again. Yeah, shoot. So, I remember when I first, like, agreed to terms to come here. The first person I got a text with was from Jaylen. Like, excited to have you here. He said he kind of watched me from afar, just knowing that I was a, you know, a speedy guy, a good player, whatever. But just, you know, that meant a lot to me, for him to reach out during that time. And since I've been here, man, he's been nose down, like this works hard. He's a great leader. Just kind of his presence is aura. It just speaks volumes of the player he is, the leader he is, the person he is, the man, and he's just grinding to get better each and every day. And, you know, when you're in the building when a guy like that, you just want to play for them and want to get better with them. I'm saying, for my two more, do you notice that the way that they do things here is different than the other things you said?

Yes, I would say they are very, very, very detailed. Like, for Nando and his team, they're, like, super, super detailed. Like, even today, like, we got these little things where we kind of rate our soreness from the prior practice and things like that. And talking with the, with Stephanie and Chisholist, Stephanie and Chisholist, just about plans and all that stuff. Like, they're very, very detailed. And I've been in places where it's been like that. But I think this is kind of a step up, just how they're so intense with those things. And I think it's definitely been efficient to the players. You mentioned a couple of times, as far as fighting came here, even Kevin and Jason. But having H.A. in the bot and that room, as a fellow receiver, how does that, you sort of just get a lot of 101? Yeah, man, to be honest with you, like looking at the room, looking at the situation, it's like, like, I'm blessed to be with two of the best receivers in the game. And from the outside looking in, like, the question is, oh, why would you go there? They already got these guys.

And I'm like, man, I want to be around greatness. Like, I want to be in there and be with these guys and work with these guys and learn from these guys. Obviously, me and AJ came in together, Devonce came in a year after. And so, like, I've known AJ prior, I've been there for the combine and all that stuff. But, like, to be in the room with those guys, like, it's only room for opportunity to learn more. Like, these are two of the best. And if you're in the room with that, like getting all the knowledge you can, like, playing, competing with those guys, like, it's only going to make you better. So, like, I'm blessed to be in this opportunity, blessed to be in that room. Sure. Thank you guys. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, too. Like, it's like, it's pretty cool. Like, it's maybe a certain sign or something, you know? But, I'm supposed to be here, and it's going to be a great year. When you came back here, was G-Roe one of the factors just working under his offense? Maybe, because I know you visited a couple different places, just in the end, reunite with G-Roe

and his offense and his scheme. Oh, yeah. I love Cowsiro. Like, you know what I'm saying? He's a great offensive mind. I truly believe that, you know? But the main thing is the main thing, and it was prayer. Like, the Lord led me here. Right? So, maybe the Lord led me here to be with G-Roe. But the reason I am here is because I prayed only so hard, and this is where I was led to. But G-Roe does, he can, I do believe in him. And I do believe that he will put me in a right position at all times. What do you think about Gus' personality, like suits you or personality? Why do you guys work together so well? I don't, that's a tough question. I don't really know his personality, like, that will. Like, that's a tough one, like, how are... Oh, no. I don't know how each other is personality is for each other. Do you guys, like, what do you guys hang out, like, feel, like, how well do you know him?

How outside of football? I know, I know pretty well outside of football, because I mean, we're together in Baltimore for years, but... But, I, I, I, let's just put it this way. He's a good friend of mine, off the field, and he's a good friend of mine on the field. So, that one's a tough one. I like that one. I like that one. You're pretty out of going. Is he the same or... What you think? What would you say about Gus? I would say it's difficult to be more outgoing. You think about going? Yeah, you come in, you smile, are you? Is it bad thing? No, not at all. You just kind of seem opposite. You're a good person. Like, Gus seems very, like, you seem very bubbly and talkative, or Gus seems very like... You know what I'm saying? I think I'm trying to kind of get it. Like, what? Like, how does this, how does this work? Are you? Oh, yeah.

Opposite a track. Look, look. Hey, look. Um... Gus, Gus could be outgoing sometimes. He could be outgoing sometimes. But I mean, I just... I don't know. Maybe, God just gave me a gift of, you know, be a light, you know? Maybe. You know what I'm saying? Because even through, like, hard times, I'm still smiling, though. You know? Because every day is a blessing, you know? Especially to do the job that I do. It's a blessing. Especially after all the stuff that I've been through on the field. I got no reason but to smile, right? What do you think? I'm still here on the 53 man roster after the stuff that I've been through on the field. But I often feel the same way. Hey, I hope it's not a bad thing. But look, let me tell you this, though.

When I'm losing, you will not see me smiling. There's only time, like, one of the only time you'll see that. My first impression was to see the offensive line blocking and seeing those holes up and up and kind of imagining how you could fit in with that scheme. You know, man, those guys are beast. You know what I'm saying? Like I said earlier in the camp, like, I got a little bit of experience under me. So, like, it's always chemistry. Like, when you first get into camp, when you first put a whole line together and then you put the runner backs with it, it takes chemistry. It's always does. It's never going to be like, sometimes it is. You know, rarely it is. You just, like, everybody's on the same track every time. You know, and the offense last year was nothing. I don't think it was anything like the offense we have this year, right? So, you got these guys are trying to get their chemistry together and me with them. You know, I'm trying to get chemistry with them. And we're seeing it, make sure we're seeing it the same way.

And now, like, what you're talking about, I think everybody's seeing it the same way. We have a chemistry, which is a beautiful thing to see, because it's going to keep getting better and better and better. And that's what you're going to be seeing. You're going to be like, dang. This is different, you know? So, I think that's what it is. And I love seeing it. I love seeing it. Because all those guys are my guys. Even if the year she wore a healthy, did you ever not play in a preseason before, like this? Just gearing up, going in the week one? Yes. What was it, my third? My third and fourth year, my third and fourth year. The one time I did play in a preseason, because my rookie year, I didn't play in a preseason. We had COVID. Right. So, the one year that I did play in a preseason, we all know what happened. Nightmare. Nightmare, man. That was a nightmare. But, maybe a better man, you know? So, I appreciate that moment, too. I can look back on it now and be in smile about it,

because I made it through that storm. You know, you always got to make it through the storm. I ran into the storm, like, we have this thing. I think it was, I want to say, it's bulls compared to cows. Like, cows run away from the storm. Bulls run to the storm to get through it faster. You know what I'm saying? Have you ever heard of this story? So, yeah. My name is El Toro. You know what I'm saying? So, if it's me, like, they made it in Baltimore, and like, I'm running to the storm. Let's get this over with, because I know I'm going to get through it, you know what I'm saying? So, I mean, whenever, because I didn't know that, I really didn't know that one set of cows, I guess you could say, they run away from the storm, and the bull runs to it. I didn't know that. That's pretty cool to know. And then my name, so, happened to be from Baltimore, El Toro. So, I don't know, man. Some things I know, I'll be stacking up. This guy named David Andre.

He's a reporter, I think. Yeah, he's a reporter. He gave me that name, because I started speaking Spanish, so good. You know? Yeah. But yeah. Yeah. You got to be Spanish? No, man. What? I'm not Spanish, but I do. Look, look, look, look. I'm open-leg. Me and this nice looking young lady right here, we were talking about how we, like, just learning, I love to, you know, be, learn people's cultures, you know, learn about people. Like you, I would love to learn about you. What makes you you? Right? We could, I bet you we can get it out in 15 seconds. Where are you from? Where are you from? Here. You from here? Mostly. Mostly, what's that mean? I was born in Milwaukee. I was there for a few years. We filled out here. Take the boy out of Philly, but you can't take the Philly out of the boy. Okay.

Look, look, look, look. I already learned, I already know. You, you a tough guy. You, you, you a tough guy, but you got a soft spot in you because you've been living out here. Give me tough out here too. You've been on the 405, like, five or five right? Yeah, but you got, you got it. You got it, man. You got it. The nun, Mr. Eris, that's gonna give me on a sale. And, you know, I do, I do what I'm supposed to do. That's, that's gonna give me on the sale. How long does that, how do you manage those expectations for people to think that you should be? Playing week one, let me see some of this around. How do you manage people? You know, I don't really let, let me get to my head because, you know, like, I'm here, you know, I got dudes in the room that are, you know, like, I, GD, you know, he's in a great place. I started, I got your main, a personal American, you know, he's gonna play this year too. So I can't let what people say on the net, you know, get to me because, you know, anybody can say, oh, he's gonna play this year, but you know, I actually got to prove it. So I just got to come out here, you know, work, you know, in that spot. What's your most important thing that you've learned so far, do you feel much better? Um, competing everyday. That's the biggest thing.

Having to compete, you know, these guys are a pair. They take winning and losing to heart. So, you know, my first, my first week up here when we did our competition, you know, I was winning, did I actually, I got that first loss on my belt, and, you know, it kind of opened my eyes, like, these guys take it to heart when they lose, they don't like it. So, you know, I kind of got that now where, I don't like losing it. So, you had the opportunity to be around the team for that CFP run. What did you learn from just those few weeks seeing this team take that run? You know, being real tight with your brothers, you know, they're real tight, you know, they push each other, you know, it's a real brotherhood. They don't let nobody down. They always got each other back. So, I mean, it's a new team now. So, you know, we got to build that kimchi with each other, you know, just get tight. And I feel like, when I was there for that playoff running, and I practiced, when they were at the National Championship, you know, I just got to watch, you know, how guys are, you know, real locked in. They're close with each other. They're not letting nobody slack off. And, you know, I feel like we had the opportunity to do that with this team now.

How did you handle Luke? You handle that first lot? That first lot, you know, it kind of got to me. It was the IGB, you know. He, you know, he let me hear. So, after that loss, I was like, now I can't let this happen. Because it's like, now it's not high school where you're 17, 16 years old and if you lose, you lose. You lose the coaches. See that. And they go see how you respond to it. So, I feel like I had to, you know, open my eyes, I had to go, go in there and lock them. Like, yeah, I can't let this happen. So, I got to go up. And, you know, these guys are counting on me too. So, it's really important that I don't lose. If you hadn't described yourself as a competitor, how would you do that? I'm a great competitor. You know, I like winning. Who does win like winning? So, I mean, winning is, it's in my blood. You know, my parents taught me that, at a young age, you know, going after competing for anything that you want. And I feel like if you can go out there and compete for it, you know, it's yours. And if you can compete for it all the time, who's going to take it from? So, I mean, I'm a good competitor. I'm always going to go out there and try to take what's mine. If it's out there,

then anybody can have it. And I'm going to be the one who's going to get it. There's some role-lockers in your room, obviously. Are you a talker? What would your natural resources be? Yeah, I mean, it could come out on me, you know. But I don't really, I really know my game through the talker for this part. But, you know, if it gets there, it gets to that point where, yeah, I can bring it out. I'm not just going to let nobody just come out here and just, you know, catch balls on me. So, if I'm having a good day when I'm consistently getting T.B.U. is the I'ma talk. But, you know, being in that room, you kind of got to talk, you know, the Jermaine, you got IGB, you know, those real talkers in that room. So, it kind of makes you want to bring it out. And, you know, when you bring that out, that just brings energy out of the whole defense. And when you got the whole defense clicking, I mean, you can see what's happening. Is there anyone that's kind of, a competition you have? It's actually a big deal. It was during the winter. We were doing, you know, just stuff on the field. We were just having the time of the field. Just a lot of competitions. So, I mean, he just kind of, it was a day where, you know, they had us going up against just a freshman. And then they kind of threw us in there and fired against the older guys.

So, we had to, you know, we had to wake up and, you know, we all kind of lost. And then we all kind of, like, we all kind of came together as a freshman group, like, what are we going to do about this? Because, you know, they're kind of nice to step up in those roles. Yeah, come here, welcome to college. Yeah, definitely, definitely. I'm just in my work in college moments, you know, just showing that, you know, it's real now, a middle-high old state. I'm not in Houston Texas anymore in my school. Far from my family, you know, I got to wake up, I got to grow, I got to mature fast, and, you know, I just got to get ready for the next level. You've mentioned high school a couple of times. How did, you know, grow it up there in Texas, playing at that level? How do you feel like that helped you prepare for Ohio State? I feel like you prepared good, you know. I feel like I went to a power house in Texas. We obviously ran the Houston area. You know, we've been running the Houston area for a long time now. And I feel like, you know, we're a real college program. We live just like these guys who do the same, this, you know, the level of ball I play, the highest level ball in the Texas 6A. You know, we're going against guys like Dunkin' Bill, no crowded, those top schools, you know, receive the Coyote more I go against.

And I want to get some three times in my career. So I mean, those that really prepared me for this level, you know, coming in like, okay, this is not where it's a little school where they don't believe that I can come here and make an impact. I came from big schools, so they're counting on me to make an impact. Because, you know, I think, I mean, everybody would say Texas is one of the highest players, bars in the country, you know, they go as Florida and they're probably Georgia. So I mean, they're counting on me to be ready and that level of ball prepared me real, real well. How'd you do against DeCory? You know, it was when loose, when loose. You know, I went some, he loose some. So I mean, it's just getting better at high-shabbing higher. Because, you know, he's the top receiver, obviously, in our class. You know, I feel like he's going to have a good impact at Oregon. So, I mean, it's just, it's just, it's just, just, what's going to happen next? Looking forward to seeing him again? Yeah, definitely, definitely. And you know, I plan on planning against him. We don't, we want to see him this year. Hopefully we'll see him in the big ten jammy ships. So, you know, I want, I want, I want that rematch. DeVa, you committed super early in the process.

Six months after that, you shut things down when, quite frankly, someone of your caliber didn't have to do that. You could have, you've seen kids play the game a little bit longer than that. But you chose to not do that. It's kind of a lot getting here. Why? You know, because this was, this was, this was where I felt, this was home. You know, I didn't really feel like, you know, standing Texas was a good thing for me. I didn't, I didn't feel like that was home for me. Up here, I just felt like it was home. You know, because of all, it was day, you know, they're making it, you know, making me feel important up here. And then, you know, like, you could ask, because what, how many times I came up here? Do I, my high school career, I came for 13 times. So, it got to the point where I was knowing the guys on the team. I had the numbers just like that. When I come up here, you know, I don't got to always build the coaches. I can go chill with some of the guys on the team. So, it's just, just me, you know, knowing what I want to put in my college ball at, you know, knowing where I felt like it was home and then, you know, it was also my parents too, you know. My mom being, you know, feeling safe that, you know, I'm up here, you know, I'm handling the business and not having to worry about me.

When she goes to sleep. I'm staying. I don't have time to sit back and watch what was done, because I'm so busy doing what I do. So, I don't have time for, you know, even though my arms could reach that back to the pet myself on the back, I ain't got time for it. You don't like it anyway. Every once in a while, I do it because I know y'all ain't going to do it. So, I don't have time for it, but I appreciate it. And I'm thankful of the calling that God has on my life. I really am. Now, we go to part two. Part two, with what you brought to the programs in the historic Black Colleges and to Colorado. Do you feel an obligation with whom you are to perform at a higher level, or coach at higher level? Yeah, like, yes. Yes. I'm judged on a different scale. My, my, my, my wins are totally different than your wins. Your wins, you just judge in football. That's why I have to start out and give you education and academics and so forth.

I have to give you those things so you understand there's a greater scope. I can't win nine games and we, our GPA suffers. Our GPA can't be high, but we lose another eight games. We, we can't not go and grab high school players and you got a bunch of guys that are in the portal out of the portal that's getting incarcerated. My wins are different. We have to win in every area. That's the way we're judged. I'm cool with that. Because we, we, we come a little different. So the expectation is greater, but it's not just football. It's been like, did all my life. I've always had a greater expectation for myself. So the expectation you have for me would never outweigh the expectation I have for myself. Thank you. That's a wonderful question. All right. We'll go to the left side, third row in the middle. Hey, I'm Colin Wilson with the action network. One question. What led you to the hiring of Robert Livingston come from the city? Oh my God.

They test the opportunity. I mean, we needed the defense coordinator and, and I'm a pro, man. And that's nothing against the college coaches because we have some phenomenal college coaches, especially in this conference. But I'm a pro. So I like the relationships and the thought process of a pro. And coach, Livestown was, Livingston was recommended to me by a few pros that, that I'm well familiar with in our trust. My gzimmer being one of them. And his interview process and his consistency and his thought process and his, relatability. Just put place him well above the other applicants. I'm happy I made the decision. When we look back on it, I'm, first of all, I pray to God that I keep him because I feel like we're going to kick, but we're going to win and he's going to be a head coach and college or pros and whatever he endeavors because he's that good. So I'm thankful that I'm happy for him, but he is awesome.

When I tell you awesome, he is totally awesome. Okay. We'll go over here to the right side in the first row. We got another guy on the side of the ball named Pat Sharma that's pretty darn good as well. I mean, really good. And his compatibility and relationship with Shador is amazing. And what they plan on doing this season, I can't wait to see it myself. Is there coach prime? My name is Arnie Bayesmore with Vegas Sports today. Yeah. I want to officially welcome you to our amazing City of Lost Vegas. Thank you. Now, my question is, I don't gamble though. So you ain't getting that out of me. Okay. Okay. With respect to legacy and impact, what legacy and or impact do you hope to have on the world of the world? What do you have on the world of sports as a player and or as a coach? Both really, I don't care like how you see me, how you look at me. I'm more apt to understand how I see me and how I look at me and how God sees me and how he looks at me. So really, I don't care how you see me.

It's never going to be enough. Nothing I do is ever going to be enough. So I'm cool with that. I've understand that that is life and that's how life is going to be. But I plan on being a tremendous blessing to as many people that I can bless, especially those probably 120 young men that put so in this CU helmet and go out there and to the play for our school in our program. So the sum and all up, man, I just want to be known as a great dad. I think I have three sons here today and I just want to be a great dad to them. That's it. Thank you, my man. I appreciate you. All right. We'll see in the right side. We'll go about halfway back on the aisle. Coach Domizzo, WDAY in Fargo, North Dakota. You're opening up with North Dakota State or known GFES killer. Tell me what you know about the bison. They're good. They're really darn good. And I'm mad at Rick right now if I put them on the schedule, open up with them. Like, can you give me a layup or something?

Like, those guys are wonderful. Their staff has always been amongst the best. Many people have matriculated from that staff to go to higher levels. Those kids play their butts off. They play tough. They don't make many mistakes. They're accustomed to winning. They don't give a darn about being at home on the road that does not face them whatsoever. We just can't wait to see it. I know it's a national television game. I believe it's a Thursday night game. Hopefully not too late. But we can't wait to see them. It's going to be a phenomenal game, phenomenal matchup. But that program is second to none. All right, we'll go to the left side, sixth throw on the far left side. Stuart Mandel from the athletic. Going into your two, what are some of the things that give you confidence that this season can end a lot better than for a day? When I see the offensive line and the way they train, the way they work, the way they go about their job.

When I see the defensive line coaches and the way they're on their kids and the way they're demanding excellence and the way these young men are working in the athletes that they are and the bodies that they have and they've developed right now. When I see the receiving core staying out the practice to work with the quarterback, coming over quarterbacks, coming over there on off days to work with one another. When I see the running backs doing the same, led by a former walk on Charlie Allford Doll. When I see the special teams, Mark Vesett is here right now, I think he's a Dern Pro and model that don't miss and Jayce Philly and those guys that they can't wait to their time. They understand special teams mean that we're special. When I see those, the secondary shoot, they get out of bed and they want to play man to man coverage. I love it, man. Shall OK, wait to hit somebody. You know, Cam Silman.

So many of the guys, the changed made from safety to linebacker would Trevor. I mean, and I really think this young man is going to be the next briner, I think he's going to make that transition from safety to lineback and be dominated. I just see the won't and the fire needs are from our young men. And I can't wait to you get an opportunity to see it as well. So I'm very optimistic on what we have on our plate this year. All right, we'll go to the right side, third row right in the middle. Phillip Dukes, the five star flicks on on three, Coach Sanders. I don't. As the father of three Division I football players, what did you learn during their process as a parent that's helped you formulate your recruiters style as a head coach? Great question. First and foremost, I've set in all seats. The parent seat being recruited as the kid, now being the coach,

that helps me tremendously when I'm recruiting, when I'm understanding what the parent is thinking, what the kid is thinking, now what the coach desires to want to know. It's been a tremendous asset for me to understand those facets of this new recruiting age that is impacted tremendously by NILs and collectives. So I love it. Sometimes I don't like it, but I love it. And I love that these kids are being compensated somewhat for what they bring to the table. I don't want them to put the bag before the game, because if you have the game, the bag is going to come. I want them to understand that. But I just don't want to take away from the purity of this wonderful game that we have. College football is phenomenal, man. This conference is phenomenal. Look at what we are. You got to be kidding me. I'm a brother from Folk Mice, Florida.

I'm going to be playing in the Dern In Zone in Las Vegas, talking to the whole Dern country about a childish game that I play when I was a shouting. Don't you understand how powerful and how wonderful it is? And I'm so darn thankful to be here. So I try to relate that to all our young men. This is a moment, man. You better maximize it. And let's go get it. Thank you. It's a wonderful question. All right. We'll send the right side. We'll go halfway back. And if you have this, right? I got you today, right? All right. We'll go back halfway back on the right side on the center aisle. Coach, Prime, Alex Blackburn, College football dogs. With all the media attention surrounding your program, how do you stay focused on the main goal, which is winning games? How do you keep yourself and your team focused? Well, you keep the main thing, the main thing. The main thing never should transfer itself. Winning is what we're here for. As far as the focus and attention, I think every since I stepped into Florida state in 85 has been like that for me.

This ain't new to me. I'm not new to this. Like we say in the hood, I'm true to this. So this is new to some of you all. And you want us to change. We're not going to change. We're going to try to do things being smart, tough, fast, disciplined with character. That's what we're relaying to all our young men. But the cameras and the lights, I think I haven't seen one kid here today to say he didn't like that. He may not like the process, but he likes the the the pagots that you wrap him up in and you put him out there. All these kids are excited about the EA sports game, right? There's there's scores and levels. They want attention. They want affection. They won't love. They want adoration. Adulation. I'm sorry. Yeah. We give you that, but you got to work first. So you can understand the consistency thereof is going to take you to where you want to go every time I'm on and dead. If that's what you please. I will stay over here on the right side. Third row right in the middle.

Hi coach. How you doing? Good. How are you? You go, girl. I know you. Nikki Edwards, you sports report. We talked during spring and throughout last season. The importance on stopping the run. You know, I'm not going to be a guy like BJ green and your defensive line. Yeah. How is he going to be a leader in achieving that goal? BJ green is already a leader. Do you know that BJ green played for me when he was five through seven years old with truth. And Dallas and well South Dallas. So we he's been a part of my life for a long time and they raised him right at Arizona State and for him to come over now. He's a phenomenal his work ethic the way he approaches in the text of game. It's his phenomenal. His want his desire his will. I just got finished doing the interview and they say well you have two young men that projected probably to be the top five picks. I said yeah, but we want four in the first round. And the only way that's going to happen is we win and they're dominant. And I think BJ green could be one of those guys.

And I think he will be one of those guys because he wants it that much. Shane round deal. Amari McNeil. I'm just the name of a few and corn is to to Feeck Chodosi T.C. That's my dog from Arkansas. I mean, we have some guys inside there that can flat out do it outside. We have some guys that can go get the quarterback as well. We just want to be in the position to allow them to be the best they can be. And that's one thing that Coach Livingston is doing well. He's not coming in trying to remake everything and reinvent the wheel. He's like let's find out what these guys can do well and let them do what they do. And that's what we're going to do. That's the formula. I've told you guys that's that's what we do. Okay. That's how we come in. All right, final question far left side about a question. I'm just having a good time. Now you got to go right out of time. We got a shot. Clark Joy. Did they give you a shot?

Clark. How you doing, coach? How you doing? On me, I con TG sports here. I have a quick question regarding building a winning culture. Yeah. What does that mean? What does a winning culture mean? I want to know what that means because you got to be a winner to understand what that winning culture means. Everybody want to know about the culture, the culture. What is culture? To me, culture is day in day output and the work lifestyle. Yeah, lifestyle. Yeah. So progressing in that general area right there as far as the winning culture side. Last year you guys started off strong. You did kind of feels a little bit towards the end of the year. But I remember you still talking about continuing to build that winning culture day in day out. Do you feel the guys that you brought in this year are going to be able to help you fill those gaps? I don't talk about culture that much. So that wasn't me. But I do talk about the consistency there of the goal and being consistent in whatever you do.

So if you have a team that's got to be a little more physically tough, you got to develop that. You got to mentally tough, strategically satisfying. And from the coaching staff's point of view, you got to understand that. But culture, everybody's own this word, this word. And I don't understand this word one bit. And somebody got to help me understand what that word culture means. An environment, understanding of winning, you want that. I feel like I'm a winner. I know I'm a winner. So whatever I display, however I go about my job, my work, my business, my personal life, that's a winner. That's all I know. I don't know anything else but that. So in due time and due process, we're going to reach that goal. Because we're going to get there because I know I'm going to get there. And I'm not going by myself. That'll do it. Coach, thank you for your time. Wow. God bless you.

And I win all theirenchorable thanks. Unless they'll return watching that. estyle. I think that that helped them bring up the strategies. That was large. Timeally as pain's Überja Aberdeen you know it was hurtful and it got stuck in my eyes. They have really good deliming good edges and then they're able to cover you know outside so They create a lot of challenges there right? I know this isn't the first time you face chip Kelly, but I'm curious if his success that he's had here He had here in the past that still kind of resonates within the program at all In what way what do you mean just like the success that he had you know 10 15 years ago It's that still kind of people still talk about that did you learn about that when you got here? Do you remember that era of Oregon football? Yeah, I remember the teams that he had here You know, I think everybody respects him as a football coach and certainly the things that he was able to accomplish why was here

Back right correct Coach Ohio State has obviously two star wide receivers in Smith and in a book What do you see from them on film and what sort of challenges will those two kind of present to the Oregon secondary this weekend? Yes, stop go you know they can catch the ball and they can turn into a big play right away You know, it's not necessarily always averaged up the targets way down the field It's their ability to catch it in space and get vertical. They block really really well in the perimeter And those guys have big catch radiuses so you see them win on balls that you would you would call 50 50 balls a lot of time They went on contested you know, okay contested balls who do a really good job there All right, what math Thinking your career you've coached in nine different top five matchups. Is there any common trader? You know think you have to do in a game in those games that to win that's more heightened in this type of atmosphere I'd say winning football is winning football But I think you always look when you're playing an opponent You know what what's some commonalities in games that they haven't had success in and you've had success in right? What are those places where you can find strengths? What are the pieces of the game that are going to matter the most you know Obviously explosive plays and takeaways is always something that we focus on here, but you know rushing game

I think that matters, you know ability to win on critical downs and critical situations red area. I think are all really important Back left there You and your players have just talked at after every single opponent just still about it being Oregon versus Oregon How was that mindset do you feel like kind of prepared this team for this big moment this week? Yeah, I think just the constant growth, you know the focus on what can we get better and if we attack the things that we need to improve on That's been our focus all year and you know throughout the season I think you've seen us play better and better ball in certain situations and attack things that we weren't as good at the week before All right Having knowledge of Ohio State is running back coach give you any sort of advantage this week I think that probably plays both ways, you know like last week we played against coaches that have been here before and when we played UCLA we played against coaches have been here before it makes you change your terminology like you're gonna change the names of calls Stuff before that might have been a run for us is maybe now a pass something was going right is now maybe going left But that's pretty easy for our players to do once you you know communicate that and change it

Certainly he knows some of the things that we like to do on the same note We we certainly like know some of the things that he likes to do so You know coach locked it a great job for our program. He's doing a great job for theirs now After Friday's game Dylan talked about emphasizing protecting the ball in the red zone that being a key What are some of the ways you you do that in a week to try to get those situations kind of figured out? Yeah, you you play red red area football right you could put it down there Put the ball inside the 20 and you go, you know communicate What do we want that to look like and if you expect to see it in the game you got to see it in practice first and You know he knows he wants those plays back. You know that's that doesn't take anybody's you know special to recognize that He wants that back but it's about how can we coach that better and make sure that those situations are avoided How much more confident are you touched the offensive staff as a whole in the CB2 position this year compared to last year when Obviously those watching the games where they were able to exploit some things there differently than perhaps this year or at least you hope For this year I'm much more confident in that that spot and the depth that you have there

I'm confident in our players. I like our team I like the guys that we get the opportunity to go out there and play with I think our guys play competitive ball This will certainly be the best challenge for every single position on our on our team this week Back very good Believe it's been back-to-back weeks now if no sacks allowed What do you think spend the biggest difference in the online in the last few weeks? That's made you feel confident in their play heading to this Yeah, I think a lot of pieces add up to that, you know timing scheme as part of that You know how we've adjusted some of the things that we do I think is a big part of that and then the communication between the offensive line and the quarterbacks also been really important there Back left map A lot of attention has been on Jeremiah Smith but Mecca has been pretty darn good too It's just been your impressions of him and challenging Facing another receiver that caliber when they have two of them Yeah, they got more than just two great wideouts They got several great wideouts in their program Certainly those two are very very special, but you know great whether it's Tate I mean there's there's a bunch of them on their team that can go play winning football So that's what makes this a challenge you can't just say okay? I'm gonna focus on this one guy because there's other guys in the field that can beat you

Right that Now you guys talk about blocking out outside noise last week. There's a lot of ups That's a lot of chaos and college football do you use that to your advantage to kind of hone in and to show your players Why it's so important to have a single game focus? I think our players are really aware of that I mean our messaging doesn't change necessarily week to week, you know That's been something that's been consistent for us through fall camp That it's about the guys in our room and what we're able to focus on not what everybody else is talking about Back up there The last time that chip Kelly came to Eugene it was college game day You see LA came in as an unbeaten opponent ring tie I know for you. I think your profile picture I think on social media is still that one of you going to the college game They set just what do you remember about being there being at college game day and just you're feeling of being on that set for the very first time Yeah, I think more than anything the day I remember our fans and how much of an impact I felt like they had on that game how fun that environment was for our players to get to be a part of you know Obviously you come to a place like we're gonna play in big-time games And this is one of those opportunities

But to get to be a part of big-time atmosphere is as well and certainly this is this is one of those Jordan's been so consistent in the run game But seems like it's been hard at times to find maybe a second runner What's what's the key of getting Noah and Dylan more involved maybe this week? Yeah, just that consistency, you know continuing to find you know opportunities to be able to block up runs properly for those guys and give them opportunities to win You know on the second level What do you see from Mulhoward that's made him effective in raising his completion percentage compared to a year ago and what insight if any can Covy Savage provide given that he practiced against him for a couple of years You know similar to these other teams that we've played that have had guys that have crossed over you know I think Again, they do a great job schematically finding you know completions if you load up hats and the and the run game There's gonna be some guys that are open outside They've done a good job of throwing in to open windows and attacking that Mac right right Coach this program seen a lot of big games in its history at Austin stadium You've coached a few of them yourselves. Do you feel like this matchup against Ohio State top five top three matchup

Maybe the biggest of this program is ever seen in its history. I certainly can't speak to the entire history of Oregon I think this is a really big game. I think this is a great opportunity for two great teams to get to play against each other Again, I think that's why you come to a place like this But I think this will be an awesome atmosphere for our fans and certainly our players Exactly Going back to Michigan. See you never get an explanation for why that hit I'm Dylan was not a late hit or a revenue passer. We sent it in. I haven't got a response yet on on why it wasn't one I was told that the guy watching it said that it wasn't so we send it in. We'll see what it what it looks like On the left here a second row error What's Jury undone to kind of get a bit of a roll? Looks like he got in there for the first time this last game kind of what's what's been going on behind the scenes that we may have missed Yeah, just being you know part of it starts with him being healthy You know has been being being up at times, but he's practicing really hard He's working his tail off the beyond the field force whether that's in special teams in a roll it wide out And it's created some opportunities for him What makes their running back through a unique and what's kind of the the biggest asset that each one of those guys has in terms of how they go about running

Because stylistically, I think they're a little bit different than each other Yeah, maybe a little different, but I'm on the same You know token there guys that have good size and speed and They don't go down on first contact, you know, they're really good at using their weapons as far as at the second level They do a good job with stiff arms that but they really really really go down on on first contact And they have really good vision and they're patient until that opportunity window Opens up, but when they see a hole they hit it and they hit it with great speed last question James Will's done really well at putting safety's in conflict to create some of those big plays you guys have hit offensively Touched on it that OSU is just really basically giving up nothing of 30 plus yards How have they been able to avoid that when that's been a strength of yours in particular how they've been able to avoid it so far in these five games Yeah, I think that that's a piece they have a they do a good job defensively if not you know creating conflict of avoiding conflict And they're guys do a good job of farming their own land not worrying about what somebody else is doing But doing their job and being sound in their job There's times where those safeties are high and they're responsible for the deep part of the field and they let the you know The corners fit the run there's times when they're guys that responsible for the run fit and then those corners do a great job of covering down

Field so they do a good job of changing that up and guys doing their job Appreciate But just we've read this? Yes and we will just finish that meeting with Mark in the office. Thank you for all those visiting jokes today.

Thank you very much. I'm George. Thank you very much. You're welcome. I'm George. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Once again, you're missing. I'm Eric. I'm Eric. I'm Kelly. I'm Eric. I'm Kelly. I'm Eric. I'm Eric. I'm Eric. I'm Eric. First time I met him, we just found it really good. Yeah. What do you think he can bring to the problem? I don't know. You know, we were talking about it. We were talking about it. Yeah. So, like, we did the locks with it. Yeah. We were talking about it. So, I can answer this. It's been like for you to come out to California being out of the car. That, uh, this is a little obvious. I really like California. I love California. I can help you to just go to California. Yeah. In the school, there's a lot of things. Different being out of state, through here. There's a point you were just a couple of hours ago. Yeah. There's definitely a difference. So, fly here. You're a new generation of recruits where I don't think anybody outside looking in a room

questioning the strength of your commitment. Like, you're locked in your last eight, you send it over and over. But you're making visits around the country. You see other schools. It's almost a totally different mindset. What's that? Code 2 in the West. How do you approach those other visits? And how do you communicate with Ohio State about them? What's been the message to the traffic? I just looked at it. I always like the Indian. I'm still enjoying buses. It's been a group. This is only ever one time. I'm very interested in it. I enjoy the other schools I've had them like. Yeah, it's going to be really hard trying to get me to flip. So how do you stay in this world to be? What does it mean to you want to take homes with us? In the past, Rocha, I mean, second guy at times is obviously something that's been pretty rare in the NFL. Yeah, I mean, I feel like these last four weeks, I feel like we've just been rushing better together just, you know, been in tune in the show.

Kim, I know we chased you. I know we can't just rely on numbers. But the 10 pressure last week, the 2 sacks this week, do you feel like you're playing? Some of the best football you're career right now? Yeah, for sure. You know, just trying to stay locked in. Just, you know, my motto, getting it here, just keep rushing. And that's all I can see to do. Pam was saying the other day that he had to help give you some advice or share some words for you. What did he tell you? What is he kind of? He always tries to give me nuggets, you know, just throughout the show of season. You know, he just told me, taught me a lot. Just about the game, off the field stuff. So we always talk. Chase, how would you summarize the impact of Brian Young?

Oh, DIY. You know, a guy who played position. A guy who just been around the game. So long. You know, we go to practice. We go back to the basics, hand placement steps, low pad level. So be while he's definitely a great addition to, you know, just taking that role and, you know, doing this thing with him. Has the past rush been simplified a little bit there and was kind of saying that like over the last four weeks. Some of it. How has it been? We've been skiing and up a little differently, but, you know, for the most part, it's just now to be the one or one is you know, you know, we just get an opportunity to do it. It looked like just going back and watching through that the commander has put some extra attention on Brian, Brzee and on the interior every now and then.

How does that impact you guys over on the edge? Yeah, it was every home, you know, she's a one guy, you know, at least one guy one of one and I think yesterday we just don't know if it's good. It's just one of the ones all across the board. And is that where sort of the fundamentals of what be wise been focused on is that where that has the greatest impact? We've just been focusing on everything has first run game just everything is all. Thanks guys. Thanks, so thanks, Jason. Thank you. GT and Jack plan opposite sides are they as opposite off the field as they are on in terms of personality and just. They're offices, but they also like one of the closest people I know they spend a lot of time together.

They've come from different sides of the country, so they're different people for sure, but they're both really great people and really great men. I'm sorry, I respect both of them. How did you do that? I'm not going to do that. Throughout the throughout the season, we would always see you on Wednesday nights, you and Nathan would be some of the last people off the field. Are the things that you're working on after a practice always the same? Is it a routine? What are the things that you're hoping to get out of those extra moments after practice? It's a routine, pretty much the keys that we need to go into the game with and then also changes week to week on based on what our jobs are going to put us into doing. So every week we go through the same things and then we add certain things that we do for the team that we play is going to ask us to accommodate.

Bill, we're going to win. Pull him as this batch. Yeah, I already got one here. Oh, okay. Joey Goplin, pull him as this batch. Kill him. When? Texas uses play action and Nathan uses play action in fairbid. What do they do well in those spots? What do you think you guys in those moments with Quinn? They do a really good job with I-Candy and it creates a lot of challenges for defense in order to see if it's runner pass and see because that's when they're going to take their shots too as well. So really just having great eye discipline, seeing the line and seeing what it's telling us. So that's what it does. Deep right. Nick Walker, Letterman Rolk. Hey, well, you guys had a pretty good game plan for Tyler Warren when you guys played him. You guys have another Texas has a good tight end and Gunnar Kahn. What are you guys going to have to do to limit him and what do you think about his game? He's a really good player. He makes a lot of plays and he has a lot of receiving yards this year. So really just do the same thing we've done all year. Just be disciplined in our responsibilities.

And if you're on them, you got to make a play when it comes. Right, one of the mandra billets. When you look at their receivers, it's kind of a whole, you know, they spread ball around. It seems like a lot of what stands out of the way they can spread ball around. A lot of really good athletes. I played with Isaiah Bond last year who's a really great receiver. A lot of speed. And then all their receivers have made a lot of plays. So I mean, everybody has to be on their peasy and cues if we're going to stop them and have it do a really good job. Fred, were you on your 10 May letterman role? Yeah, Kale, but you moved up here and I don't have to tell you when you moved. Basically a year ago. And so it was a little bit of a leap of faith because you know, you know how many athletes are on this team. Good athletes and stuff. But when did you really feel this defense come into its own? And then then pass that, man, watching in the Rose Bowl, you're recognition of what was coming seem to be on point. Did it feel like that?

I mean, you personally. I think the defense has played really well throughout the season. I think we've had games where we played better and games where we haven't put it all together. But I think that's how all defenses are. So I can't say there's a certain moment where I think we put it together. But what was your second party question? You seem really on point against Oregon about recognizing what was coming. I mean, you were really active out there directing and things like that. Did it feel like that, I guess? I feel like, as Luke said earlier, the preparation that we put in goes into that and just feeling comfortable and what we're doing, comfortable and what we're seeing with the other teams. I feel like that allows us to play fast and me and Latins to communicate to everybody else. Do I miss anyone's questions here? Steve, how long in 24 seasons sports? Yeah, Kale, but you came to Ohio State to play for National Championship. And there were a lot of ups and downs throughout the season. Just to be in this position, the last four teams still live.

You feel validated by that. Did you always have faith that this is how it was going to turn out? I came to Ohio State to become a better player and to help the team be as good as it can be, not to win a national championship. Like that wasn't the only goal for me coming here. I really just wanted to be on the team and be with the brotherhood. But it's a great feeling being in the final four and being with the team and everything that comes with that. But it's a blessing to be here. And one final question, Bill, where Ben wants to play this back? I did want to follow up when I talked to you at the after the game. You said when they scored their first and second touchdown, you were really hot on the sidelines. What was your message to the team? You know, that's a good offense. They're going to score against most teams. Why were you so hot? Really just because we didn't execute which let them score. We've done that a lot, which is something we can't do in these big games and these games where it's going to go home. So we got to make the plays when they come and get our competitive excellence as Coach Dases make the play where your numbers call.

Caleb, thank you very much. Offense, be the, you know, the intricate details, throw them in positions, make a mistake, we'll never make that mistake again. So there's a good job of learning from others. I think he's, you know, runs really well, very, very clean from mechanics and footwork standpoint. And probably some of the toughest hands, you know, on the team, catching the ball in traffic. So it doesn't matter really where you put Cornell, he's going to take care of his job and be a competitive advantage. Well, with Chris or Brandon Lashov, the guys who maybe don't get hit in January and are rolling in the summertime, you know, it seems like you're going to have similar time like what do you see in those guys in terms of how quickly they were able to pick things up and what you saw then they were starting to really get it. That maybe can tell you about what to expect from mine. Yeah, yeah, my one came in as a, as a, as a, in the June. And, but man, he's really done a good job of learning the offense, learning what I want, you know, what we want. I would say that he's a lot of pride in his work.

He's not like having M.A.'s, almost to the point where he tries to justify himself on why he did things like violent, you know, he deep breaths, but I appreciate that edge. I really do, you know, he's jumping in and trying to take reps. He's really doing a good job, you know, and I think right now he's just chasing, building a body of work to justify where he's at, right? That's the hardest part about coming to June. What body of work did you really, you know, develop their proven to your peers or your coaches to really justify what you want to accomplish, right? You guys know that. So that's what he's chasing right now. He's trying to stack days and just show and, you know, develop his identity as a full player here at Highest. How do you do that when I'm putting too much because you're in here, point, he's just behind because he wasn't here. But also this is like a hard room to play catch up and just giving out competitive. It is how you walk him through that coach him through that making sure he's running his own race and not worried about. Well, I'd say probably every, every snap you take is worth three, right? I mean, if you do something great, it's worth three. If you do something bad, it's worth three, you know, it's not one minus is three minuses.

So I'm not saying that's perfect, but that's probably a decent way to look at it. And again, at the end of the day, guys, I mean, your peers know your teammates know. And frankly, I just asked them, you know, and so he's chasing the group. That's why he's here. That's why they're all here at the being this kind of room and hold themselves to high expectations. But, you know, the expectation of receiving what I want that can't be an expectation. And so, you know, it's every athlete's challenge, but the work being put in is good. We're just looking on working on stacking days right now. What do you see from Brandon, the tight end? I'll tell you one more time. Mayor Wooden signed as a tight end, but it's working with your group now. So why do you see your what do you see from him and what do you like about him? You know, I think that, you know, it doesn't matter if it's him or anybody. I mean, we're all trying to learn football on a high level. You're competing with your peers to stand out that I learned things quicker or I, you know, I make more plays.

Wherever those are, you're trying, you're always competing with your peers initially. And then obviously the whole room and then nationally you get the idea, right? So, you know, Wood's competing with all the other guys, the Mayor, you know, Dory and Miley and, you know, so JJ, you know, he's got a head start. You know, I think that he's got strong hands, a bigger body guy. He's got to make sure he's not, you know, getting a tight end body, right? He's a skilled athlete. He's definitely, you know, got some skills. He's working on his footwork and his mechanics. There's a lot of boxes he's working to check. And again, I think he's been doing that and attacking that with purpose each day, you know, so. But, you see, flash here and there, we're just looking for consistency, right? And that's just, listen to all these guys. And, you know, he kind of fixed that move. Brian, when you, this spring, I'm not branded in. You're just doing a lot of this, but what did you see from him? That still stood out to make just think that he can be a legit contributor for the same as you.

Yeah, I mean, we made the decision to get him healthy with his foot this past spring. So he missed a lot of spring. But I would say the way he carried himself and the way he was a leader. And then I would say once he was back, you know, Coach Mick does a lot of things to great guys and get feedback and hope guys can count on the soap. He was a guy that, you know, impressed his teammates who the summer. He was a guy that was all gold. He was a guy that the leaders wanted to vote him on the leadership council. So he earned all that without even playing football. So how did he stand out? It was everything of the non talent issues, everything off the field. He stood out in and, you know, he said I continue bringing that day in and day out. But that was probably what he did to the summer to, you know, get back on track and stay on track. Right. The other day, I took Kelly Raven about what she bring to the table in the meetings, etc. But what were those meetings like right now when you guys are unfabbing with this?

It looks like a pretty nice collection of talent. Which way to go, etc. How would you get it flowing out? I would say it's a combination of getting skill, you know, getting scheme installed. Right. Not trying to scheme against your defense, but getting the install, the foundation built for the offense to build on top of. Once you get to the season and things you want to do, you don't want to be the first time they heard it. And so it's a combination of scheme, you know, against your defense first. You know, you still want to compete where I'm in a lot of competition, right? I don't want to call it periods. So you want to have plays that work, versus defense. But you also want to build a great foundation on the install to where, you know, you can let it grow from there in a week one, week two, three. So it's a fine line. Now as athletes, we're trying to build their foundation skill wise, right? I mean, the skills they will need to execute the plays, whether it be leverage based, whether it be mechanic based. You know, there's always a fine line of dabbing in both.

That's what I want to say, because you are player at the highest level. Is there only so much you can put in a player's hand? You understand what I'm saying? I mean, I think that, you have to challenge that. I think you have to try to push that bar and make it really hard in camp season, spring season to elevate that uncomfortable level to make sure the capacity level continues to grow. But I think you're very mindful of that in the fall of making sure it all makes sense. And then we always say, you know, drop in the bucket seems insignificant. If you get enough drops, that bucket's going to overfill. So you don't want to take those for granted. But I would say this time of year, whether it be physically or mentally, you're always trying to raise the bar and push that uncomfortable level so they can grow. Thank you. I can get one more. What's the easiest thing for a freshman to pick up one week? It's the hardest thing to develop with a wide receiver. I don't think it's just receiver.

I think it's, you know, you know, private receiver. I would say that it's the detail in which we operate and the amount of things that go into a simple line on the paper. You know, it always made that joke. You thought it was just running a call round, huh? So like, that's probably part of it. And then based on the program they've come from, how they were raised, all those things. Again, we're trying to bring in the right type of guys. But most of these guys think they're working hard at the high school level. They have no idea until they get here. So the amount of strain and recovery, I would say the lifestyle of being a neat athlete is just something that's really, really hard to learn. And then off the field, that, and then the amount of detail that goes into the simplest play on paper are both pilot's words next turn. Thank you. Thanks, Brian. Thanks for having me. Thank you, my pleasure. I'm just happy to make sure I keep all the details lost here. What it goes like, tell you that you like to watch a game.

Is it part of the sort of tackles or speed? What does it like? I think they do like more of a backfield game. I think they like that. I'm like, what's kind of your main, I mean, obviously, as an instate game committed to this class? What's your pitch now to other recruits? And be like, this is why you should join Ohio State's 20th major. It's a real family atmosphere. Yeah, everybody gets more and everybody talks to everybody. What did you say? What did you get any coaching lessons? I got a lot going on with training back or coaching. I mean, bring it to the college. I've always looked up to a BoJack in Washington's films. Do you, that's funny. Do you think that your voice down can mirror his invisible perspective in just a way that he really is close to the world? No, I've seen that when you went to the Olympics. The outfit I can't be speeded in a card. Yeah, I'd be absolutely happy to be able to do it. Who are the main guys that you're talking to right now to join the school? I'm really talking to everybody, the list of room and that auto community.

And you guys, any one to join the class? Anybody at the top here? No, I'm sorry if you already got asked this, but coming up here as a recruit, as a committee, I'm hearing. What did you want to show today? What did you want to get out of this experience? I wasn't up in the show. I just wanted to get this and work in with those guys a lot. How did you feel like that went? Obviously, he's still relatively new here, but he seems to bring a little bit of a different energy than some of these camps in the past. I feel like it went good. You sense that energy? I mean, when you're out with him, it's... Yeah, I feel his intensity. He's different than other guys though, right? I mean, kind of, how would you explain his coaching than some of the other running back coach you may have worked with in the past? It just intense. It's intense. Like go, go, go. Did you talk to Coach Lachman when he was at Oregon? I did. Okay. So, when did he get, or can get him off the ground? Like roughly. Around like a after season, like not so far just seeing. Okay, so I mean, was he kind of the same guy that he is now? Like, so just in the new uniform basically?

Yeah. And you guys obviously added Isaiah to the class, and there's no secret they would like to add another one. What are your thoughts on being in a class with three different run-and-backs like that? I have no problem being in a class with three different run-and-back coach. What do you like about Isaiah? I don't know Isaiah. You don't know Isaiah? You never met him? No, I don't. You just damn none of the person. Oh, come on. When you committed to who are some of the guys that we just had to be very familiar with, particularly about the actual equipment? Um, not really a couple of linebackers, taping on the stuff. Okay. You want to play like that every week? It's not a one-off, so we're excited to be back home for a couple weeks and need to stack another one. How do you manage your own expectations when you have 14 pressures or not putting in the sack numbers that you'd like to get? Um, I think just staying the course and continuing to get better, which I think I've done. And then hopefully that day comes where the stats come,

but I think I affected the game. Good amount last week, so that's good for the team. Nick, I'm sure you was in a super-water plenty of plays you'd think about. And Dan, the fun way, are we done better there? What happens when you get 15 line, and the home is running over time? Is that one particularly, or it's worth a one? So it's a guarantee you're going to stop them, but is that one particularly? It's like the ball to get over. Yeah, no, that was tough, especially because we have calls that could negate that. And we just didn't really, like they ran in the zone read a few times. I mean, just didn't find an answer to it. But yeah, I mean, I definitely thought he was going to hold it or keep it, but I got to do my job, especially in a big moment like that. You can't go out of your job. But we definitely have a plan for the zone read this time,

so I didn't say it's 2020. You did your class. That is your job, right? Yeah. Okay. But then you, like mid-player kind of like, did a shrug bring out a cell of the turrets, right? Yeah. And even the hint at what should have happened? I mean, there's a couple of variables. I think the tight end came across, so that changes some things to the guys behind me. So I honestly don't know who it is, but I just tried to make it decisive for the guys. Is the idea... It's a lot from that zone, just watching in terms of how you try to attack or this time around from your experience. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, like any game that you played a team before, you watched the tape and learned from it? Does this often apply to mentors that get kind of less, I guess, less in trouble for holding, or is it just depending on the kind of moves? Last year, for sure. Last year, they had two of the top penalized guys in the league.

But it doesn't look too bad this year, but we'll see. Are there more refereeing crews that let it go more than others? I mean, it seems different every week, so we'll see. Do you count your steps throughout the day? Is that why you use a scooter? It's kind of how it started. I don't count them, but I just take a little off the legs. It's a lot of walking from building to building. They play some of your team, having written for yourself back, having a break, then they got a pass. Good morale boost. Yeah, it's good to have them. And I'm excited to watch them play. We've reached history and some cheats, and I'm going to put a sum to have for the game. What's it been like to go back and be looking at them on three out of there? And looking at the two of them, I'd say. It's definitely a little emotional, but at this point, it's just a game. So we're just looking at the tape, trying to learn from it. A lot of similarities from last year. Few new guys, but really good defense and offense that obviously has 15 back there.

So I'm always dangerous. You said it's a little emotional. Do you try to tap into those emotions, or do you kind of want to just put the distractions to the side and treat it like another football game? Yeah, the latter. So I think us being able to step up as leaders and as Vets to help bring along the team, our units and this program has been really important. What are you doing overall? Two more questions. Just a try. But then you and your office law, for sure, Luke said that Jake has been in the press so far. He didn't continue to talk about it. Yeah. Somebody who went through that, what have you been impressed by the Jake company? And you had a team that had a driving on the wall. What do you think it's over? No, it could spend doing really well. I mean, that kid goes and he goes to work. He's extremely athletic, extremely flexible. He's a young kid, obviously. He's a lot of development, a lot of, he's a little adversity at all of us do. And I think he's going through that right now, but he's been coming out on the better end of it so far.

And excited to see what he can do because he's very impressive at this young stage. So I think you're overall level of excitement just to be back with the rest of the zips you're off into the line group. You guys have been so much experience back. Yeah, extremely excited. I mean, trying to just build that culture back up again, you know, like what we had last year. I'm trying to do a little stuff here and there. I can't know. I think we're going to Rayrays, barbecue, I think tomorrow. So shout out Rayrays. But, but yeah, I just trying to get that brotherhood back, get that, you know, that oblock spirit back. Sure, it's coming soon. Hopefully. But just to kind of get those, not those same faces, but those same kind of mindsets back in our group is important right now. And it's been fun to meet new guys from different backgrounds and stuff like that and try to figure out how to, you know, build that and mend that together. It's been pretty cool. Now, as you are one of the most experienced veterans on this team, how much do you feel like you have to be a leader for this team this year?

Yeah, for sure. I mean, I think that comes, it's obviously, I don't feel like it's natural to anyone to immediately step up and that's something I've been working on every day and talking to God about. But I obviously understand that and that's something I want to continue to work on. I want to be able to be a guy that people can fall back on and like Coach was saying before, like we're going to have highs and lows, but the great players, the ones being set our clocks to. And I kind of want, that's my goal as to be one of those people that you can do that. And I think for especially a very new set of eyes in the Woody, not only coaches, but players. I think it's very important to kind of keep that steady mindset. And I think for me, learning how to be a leader has been important just to not be too hard on myself, but also not let myself kind of slack off in some departments to try to keep steady. Just your story itself, though, is testament of what it means to like for perseverance and stuff, too, though, right?

Carsel, I mean, you don't necessarily have to stand up from somebody to say that, right? What do you think you've shown more than anything else in every guard? Yeah, I mean, I've been blessed. I've been blessed with a lot of adversity. I think that's definitely made me better on the back end. Coach Dei always talks about it, and you don't, you know, great leaders aren't, you know, they can show it. But you know, a lot of people can show it. A lot of people can just talk about it. But to be about it is important. And I think to me now, I've went through a lot of that adversity. I went through a lot of that stuff. And my testament has been written in an interesting way. But I think for me to take that next step is really important for not only for this team, but for myself personally. What's your most impressive piece? Yeah, he's been doing great. I mean, he came in big, freaking strong. He's fun to be in the weight room with. He's kind of quiet. Like that's kind of my first impression on him, but he's actually pretty funny, dude.

He and his dad come over and they kind of joke around. So he's been doing a great job. He's been doing a great job for his size. He has like freaky athletic feet. Like I watched him do the ladders. That's a lot of massive overrun on those things, you know, doing the little icky shuffle. But I mean, he was killing it. And so he's been doing a great job. I can't wait to see how he kind of continues to develop throughout this summer and throughout this fall camp. First thing is, somebody has won a iron back there. What did Austin do to arm that? Yeah, Piggy's been doing great. I mean, he, he stabbed up Piggy. Yeah, everyone refers to him as Piggy. He was his username one time. Nice everyone. But anyway, no, Pig's been doing great. He, he's been able to step up and kind of bring around along those younger guys. You know, everyone's kind of trying to figure out their, their new roles. And I think he's been doing a great job, especially in the off season. And even right now, I'm just trying to bring along those guys and bring along himself and continuing to better himself. Because I mean, you know, it's never too late to get better. And I think he's kind of inspired me in that way a little bit too.

Just trying to like go against competitions with him. I don't know if you've seen his calves, but it's just the extension of his quad. Like it's just him and Gabe just have just, just cylinders. So me compete against him and him competing against everyone else has been really good. Not only for him, but for me and for everyone he's been pushing. So it's been good. Oh, good. Thanks, man. I think he can help us along with James. I'm like, say, I'm excited about the young guys. I'm just excited about the competition. Coach, you, you got a heck of a lot of things. You know, the old saying, I have stated, and do you believe in the philosophy? You don't rebuild where you reload. I believe in the philosophy of Coach Truss. I said, you need to respect. So I hope we get to and to spare and another spare today. So we just reload. This universe has been about having great running backs. And I think that's what we're going to have in the room. And it's on me to sit the tone of the kids and mindset in the room.

So that's on me. So I think we're going to be good. What? I don't know if the conversation is going to be trying to. I guess the conversation, what conversation you have with Sam? It comes back after going into the port and coming back. It's going to be a weird time to be a coach for football, right? A little bit of a coach. I mean, it is like a thing. You're saying what I'm saying? Sam and young guys, you know, we all been young. We all made quick decisions. But my thing is when I talk to these parents, I had a, their son's gone play for me. First of all, I never know what's big in football. You know, everybody I was talking to football expert. And that's not the part I talked with about Sam. The part I talked with about Sam is that we all going to be successful in something. I want him to be successful in school. You know, the thing about he's from here getting his degree from here, could mean a lot. So that's what I kind of spoke with him about that. Like I said, I'm a new guy coming in this spring, April the guy that coached him, the left, and he's a young man. So things are a little bit different for him.

But you know, Coach Day speaks about this all the time. Chuck Loos. I get them boys in a tough look. I'm real, I'm honest with them. And it took some getting used to. I don't lie to him. I tell him the truth. So, you know, I think he's quite familiar with who I am now. But I love the kid. You know, he works hard and like, he's a good kid. What you're like though in this modern age to form a love term, have to keep recruiting guys. Meaning, you know, because tough love is one thing that you got to have the players to. I'm here. It's almost like the recruiting ever stopped. I'm not leaving with cool. It's a much better run back because I'm not leaving with cool. I have no desire to be a legal crew. What I am is a legal relationship with. I've been a relationship with the young man. I love knowing that even though they can go somewhere else, I'm still having a relationship with him. I've been a relationship partner. If you get the young man to believe in that, you're pouring into them as young man. And not just recruiting like you selling cars. You know, they'll begin to open up to you and, you know,

believe what you're saying. So, I am not a legal crew. But what I am is a legal relationship with. When I see about the truth, freshman, I know you haven't touched them in practice yet. But through to them, like, I vote Jackson. I say, you know, term bill will get here. Someone just wants to get out of that. You look at both Jackson. You got size. I'm thinking it's right now six foot, 220 speed. He got gifts on the guy I can give him. So, you see the potential what he could be. Now, he's going to have to work and compete. But I'm excited about him. But like I said, we'll see. Same thing with Isaiah West. You see his size. That's how much right of five and never. He's going to be able to build the right way. But he has the right mindset. So, you get excited about him because his mindset is like, you know, he seems so much older than he is when he talked to him. His mind is in the right place.

And like I said, the total world is somebody that I can build a relationship with. Since he's been in probably seven grade. And to give him here that have an opportunity to coach him, I'm excited. But the three freshmen we got coming in, I'm telling you, I'm excited about him just to see. What their journey going to look like to console him. I evaluate the year James had both and put on field and sound, and also what he was doing behind the scenes and practices. I think one thing, me and James have discussed about it. It's a marathon and not a sprint. I think so much. Like I said, we live in the microwave society. I'm going to insist to sit right now. And I told him, Les, I said, you going to learn from these two guys. And when your time comes, we're going to appreciate it. You're going to appreciate the client. And he said behind both of them, he learned. He's leading the room now because he had a great guy that watched the leader on which his trade. And then he saw Q and trade working. And he's working just as hard. But, you know, when these guys come out of high school,

and this recruiting service gives them these five stars, they think they supposed to come in, play from day one. And in the junior year, they don't work that way. Not in the room that I'm in. They don't work that way. Because you're going to know how to be a complete player. One of the other times James went this year, all the run backs. And they said the coach's days. Running backs playing special teams. We're going to be on special teams. And I challenge every one of my guys with that in you. You're going to play special teams. And I ain't just talking about going to the press. You're going to be on the one or two games. Because you told me you want to play in the middle. Well, you're going to play special teams. I also teach you to be no longer just not a selfish player. But you want to go out there. I know you want to run the ball. Well, well, other ways can you help the team. So, last year, I think he got the chance to see all of that. And it's helping him now. I am excited to see his growth. But I'm also excited to see him compete.

Because from town, never in that room. Talk to the bottom. It's pretty good. Well, you mentioned make some standout. James? Yeah. Come back, mother. He has good hands. Has really incredible short air reverse. Tough. Like I said, quickness. Everything that you want in the back, he has. It's not a small guy. He thinks he's six foot. He thinks he's ten mile time. But probably five, ten. Write about two hundred ten pounds. And he wants to have great knowledge of the game. So, those are the things that stand out to me as I can say, short air reverse. Now, I would, you know, I would call James, I was at home. I first made James with a 10th grade. So, we already had prior relationship. But just, I see the growth in the now. He's like him. So, I am excited to see him. And in a more, in a more demanding role where he gets the

opportunity to showcase what he's doing. And what you did with Tread, with Sean, I feel where essentially equal terms of touches, like, give or take obviously how the game was going. Or is there room in this office for there to be one lead guy? I don't think that's smart. I have one lead. And I, not, not of you, the Yo-Speak takes the play deep into the playoffs. I got told before, you know, I said, my job here is to make sure Coach Davis is successful. All right. And that's putting the best base on the field. You know, if you want to run one guy that, run him into the ground and that works for you, that's good for you. That's not what I'm doing. Now, he still can accomplish his goals by having another guy play with him. Or another guy, you know, because it's a long season. So, you know, when I think about running the backs in that aspect, and guys like, I don't want to do the only one to get the ball, your mind says not on team goals. Your mind says on individual goals. Like I told Trey and Q, you know, I had to be one with what I'm great success.

I think those are two best backs that they feel combined with the show, but they had great success. They weren't banged up. They weren't hurt. They never had to be in the right place. And they still accomplish everything they want in the company. One that's the championship. So, they put the side of their personal goals, and they put the team goals ahead. And when they did that, the performance still got you where they want to be. Now, I'm excited to see both of those guys named Carl here, Layna. You mentioned the competition in the room. What are you looking for out of the ready-backed this spring? First thing is, I want to see if I can get three or four guys to start a specialty. That's the first competition I'm looking at. Then after that, I just want to see, just see how all on compete with, you know, more overall. I want to see how James know how he takes on the leadership of the room. See how he competes with the other guys, whether it's Bob, whether it's CJ, whether it's Sam or Turbo or like so. I said, what's the world that it is? Or T.C. Cat? I want to see how he competes.

And like I said, big thing is his leadership, bro. That's the big stand-lift in the room. Is everybody going to come to be one? You know, not be selfish, point to one another. Okay. If I'm not playing on offense, what else can I do on the team? Can I go start on kickoff? Can I start on kickoff return? Plant pressure. Those are the things I'm looking for. Because like I said, it's going to take that whole room to win. And it's going to take that whole room to win. Not just playing offense, but playing specialty teams as well. So that's what I'm looking for. For one of ones, kind of how the game plan was set up. Getting back, you know, different coverage out of cloud to my side. And this is kind of how the game goes. What's the process been, like sometimes, where, for whatever reason, just to see that. Yeah, definitely. Especially in college, a lot of the game fans defensively were taking the away. You know, we had a lot of success at a high-speed, obviously, but one of the boys had in different weapons.

They kind of still get the victories. And I was, yeah, you continue to do better jobs when I hear. Why are you taking the rotation? The process has been like post-game, getting on the same page with Kyler. You guys exchange text, or you guys in the film? Yeah, yeah, film. Definitely. Kind of asking what did I see there, kind of go over and play. I just kind of give him what I saw, and kind of different feedback there. Exchange words. Mark, I get it. We're asking questions about the previous game. Are you the type of guy to let a game like that winger, or how do you flush it? You got to move on. Got to move on. It's a long season guy. Like 16 more of them. Hopefully, you know, I can stay healthy throughout the year. And just continue to build and get better each week. You guys did so much work throughout the off season to get on the same page. How different is it when you get into that regular season? Yeah, it's totally different. It's totally different. You can do a lot of things, you know, in shirts and shorts. And then once you go out there, put practice and you get pads on. You do like the joint practice we do with the colds. But there's nothing like actually going out there. Not in live action.

And really trying to be on the same case. So I think that relationship will continue to develop and we'll get better. Is that it just a matter of reps then? Just a matter of reps then. Yeah, I think definitely. Like I said, I was kind of my first live action together. So it can continue to be. When you're early impressions on it. You're on the field together and you're on the increases with cows? Yeah, but now obviously I have a death certificate. I respect JG's call or preseason. And I obviously be all feel really healthy. That's kind of the most important thing. And I obviously get a lot of healthy even going for it. So. That's it. I can say. I'm already really impressed with the Rams. What do you think of the Rams? Yeah, I mean, they're a good team. They're good physical team. I got a new lot of new guys up front. I think that's kind of where the strong suit is. Kind of a little different to Buffalo. Come over to a little match coverage. So I'm excited to build this. Personally, when the bells take you one of them on it, how do you feel today? I'm just getting a little bit of that sound. Wasn't many of them. Wasn't many of them. So I thought I needed to get it.

How much were you thinking versus just playing? You know, not getting any preseason game. I think it was three season. Definitely, definitely thinking a lot out there. And I think I'll come with reps. I think that thinking less and just going out there and playing. Definitely come with reps. And it's something you're going to get better at. But I think definitely I was thinking a lot out there. Is there anything you can do to prove that? That's from a coverage. Anything you can do to the past? Because you're going to fix that a lot. Obviously. Yeah, I mean, you just got to team you get open for yourself, making yourself available. And then when the ball does, can you make it into a play? This, the heat just taking you away. That means other guys aren't having chance to get open. So that's how high-look at it. It's no longer 16 or off. It's the best thing of course. They're kind of going to be with Tyler. Is there something that comes pretty quickly in a new game? Or something like that? Mine. Hopefully sooner or later, I think. I'll continue to see. We'll see. I don't think we're in a bad place right now at all. Obviously, I don't really think that. But just the live reps will continue to grow and show. Just because part of my routine, I was part of my process.

I get into my stance. So stuff like that that Pete taught me from day one. And obviously in practice, it was fun just competing with him. You know, just to meet at the back of the pocket and to dab each other back every rep. That was competing, you know what I mean? So that's my guy. And as much as you love him, I'm sure the left side, that better suite is. That a certain matter, because it would happen to him. Yeah, that's the thing. That's not how I was definitely know how I thought about a transitional girl. You know, about the, you know, I'm some time in a car no soul career. You know, I want to play or forever, you know, I mean, I was talking about his plans. So, you know, you wish transitions like one of those things, you know, like, to your time now. But again, either way, you know, we talk about it, you know, that's the, that's the, tell goes, you know, but obviously, you know, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's,

been one of the big supporters. Again, I think everybody leads, you know, not everybody's the, bro, guys, come around, let's go. Like, that's not everybody, right? Like, I think for me, that's me specifically on game day, with the O line after we do, you know, like, that's my, like, what I'm did, like, that's my, like, a cool time, I feel like I'm talking about this, you know, just recently, talking about how, what I want to do for the world is, I want to bring that, I'm energy, behavioral, right? So last year, of course, I'm sure he's been doing for years, but the year when I spent my own, he brought a lot of energy, excitement, happiness in the room, which is his natural energy, to where I only had to focus on me, you know, I didn't have to make sure other, other guys are, you know, feels the type of way when it came in here, because hump brought that.

I mean, I'm not here, but I saw a way different room. I want to be that guy that makes sure I was amptical to practice. I'm talking to him, and obviously it's that time I spent in the off season before OTA started, just being in my self-justing about what the room needs, you know, because I know I knew you were always one of the leaders, you know, my offense is that we need a guy like that, that is going to make sure the O line is picked up, we're ready to go every day,

so it's a healthy time for little things, or having to practice with people, saying anything, and how I may leave, maybe different than somebody else may leave, you know, like to practice at least like the legal positivity, you know, I mean so, but he, the energy had, would be on just though, hyper-view on, so it's kind of how I want to be going on, literally my whole life, all of the NFL team captain, like specifically, and I felt I wasn't a captain in high school, wasn't a captain in college, but I want to make a joke on high school, so I feel like I'm not going to be a captain like it's that I felt. But that would be awesome, you know, but, you know, that happens, I'd be great, but not either way, I want to assume a role as a captain from the perspective of guys, onto the individual words, and to get back to that word. Yeah, I mean I can't say that, I mean I guess the biggest thing is that I felt like I felt

like how you used to move past, but it didn't take just the first LTAs, it took training and left and right, once this season ended because I know what was going to be the champion. So, I took a lot of reps just to get back to feeling like myself or they want LTAs, and then that whole first week, but now like today specifically, just changing some small things with my feet, that is it, talking about the long coach, about some things I can do with my feet to get to that, to sell my traditional angle that I love to sit on, I thought I felt great already, but I felt even better, so I need more excites tomorrow now, get on my feet back, and how I like the right side, and on the left side, so alongside. I mean obviously I feel like in the league, whether I left the right, you're still going in, it's premier guys, so obviously you have high expectations for the left and right tackle, but definitely the level of energy and the expectations definitely take the human side,

because now I can either blind side, that's the tackle world, you know, so yeah, I would say in terms of communication as far as just even outside of the facility, you just stuff like that, like really creating that, the tackle quarterback, and bond even more off the field, I think has been something that's even the cool way to do it. I got the text one day, because I think you put it left, I was like, you know, yeah, I've been training both, I've been training both, you know, I asked after the season there, like honestly, you know, we'll talk to you in the season, and I just got the text one. I was with the free agency, then so I was like, you know, what, I had an overseas right tackle, so if I get the word, I'm going, I'm standing right tackle, I'll just do what I did before, I'm build on that, but I was like, I might as well as train the left tackle now, as if I'm going to be left tackle, and I'd rather do that than train the right tackle with the company, I didn't wish my feet had been.

You know what I mean? So I'm like, let me just prepare an advance, I'll say, yeah, it's gone. I think occasionally, on third down, there'll be a lot of twists, I was just not like, it's on a magic or the comment, and I think that was my mindset for like the first half of the season, like I didn't have to go into a game with some pros, like, oh my gosh, they did that. I kind of figured, okay, this is the type of rush, I mean, again, this is how this guy usually rushes, if I get the vibe, this is how it ends like the rush, you know, tackles that, first year guys, you got the primary patch on, already know what it was going to be, already know what the every step, and honestly, just knowing that's kind of an advantage to, so you're not, you're not, oh, they brought the twist on my side again, it was never air-dolphin, but they come up and I was like, three plays in a row, and two minutes, I knew that it was going to happen, so a lot of, you know what I mean? I'm watching more and everybody else, and he rarely, he only goes out there on occasion, a third down, I was like, you know, he's going to pick me, you know what I mean? So, that effect, it's kind of, it's also kind of an advantage in a way,

but it's also exciting, like, okay, I'm going to get the hardest to look, you know, so it's a real, real reps, you know, the things, really out on our way to kind of process, that I was like, hey, when I tell me, let me know about, I'm just going to train it, I was training all left, until TAs, I guess, if I didn't hear anything about TAs, I came in like, so, you know what I mean? Because just like, I'm cool with training, both continue, I would have been cool with training, both continually, but I feel like anybody in any position will feel like, okay, like, you want as soon as possible to get your feet kind of settled in, your hips settled in, your hands, so then, certain kind of, what have you been hard of the age to work with, are you able to use? No, you know, but, they're definitely, but in terms of the development, it was definitely a lot faster to stay on all the way inside,

but I think having that, the weeks that we had to transition with seasons over, you've had to like, respond, you know? I mean, I'm trying to get up, put up on the front line, and week, things at a time right now, but when it comes back, I'm going to show them to you in the house, so I've got a house that's not too far from, so I told them, I got that house, like, I could yell outside, DJ, you know what I mean? So, yeah. I was just trying to, it's just a different way of play, different terminology, and it's a whole different scheme, so just learn how they want things done, compared to how you used to do things, it's really the... Well, it's a lot of being in that tight end room, everybody's got different skills, it's different, but y'all do some of the same things. Right, yeah, no, it's a great room, a lot of really good guys have grown really close with a lot of those guys, so everybody helps each other, a really nice learner from Dalton, breadin' those guys, I mean, Dalton's done it for a really long time,

so he helps me a lot with things that really aren't coachable things, you know what I mean? I'm not a family at the game, but what about working out here at this high school? Are you still in Ohio that you're gonna feel good, and I don't know if your high school is like this, man, it's a little different name, I should say. Yeah, I went to Lexington, how about, they're eighth of the size of this place? Yeah, this is not like my high school, but this is a healthy place, but super cool to be home and just be back and give you a little sense of comfort, I guess for me, especially being away for as long as I've been. So, I was a man, kind of a war around the city, but you've seen a bunch of f***ing fans and I've wanted to get your autographs, take a picture, probably a minute. I don't get, I don't go out of the hole, I actually went home yesterday, I went back to the farm for a little bit, which was great for a couple of days. He did all my family and stuff and see my grandparents and everything, so it was good, but I really haven't been out enough to know, so I try and keep her inside. It's good, that's good. Yeah. You need to talk a lot about, you can talk this, what do you think of your play in that really show-based and stuff the most?

Oh, that's a good question. I don't think that's for me, I'm just trying to give. I mean, every time you can play this game for 50 years, there's always going to be something you leave to feel with, like, I wish I would have been better in that area, I wish I would have been better in some other, you know what I mean? Like, it's never going to be, this is absolutely perfect. So, like, to me, that's, right now, the hardest part of this is just mental toughness of all. I mean, physical toughness, I mean, you either have it or you don't, in my opinion. So, I mean, I've always felt like I was kind of bred in that area of things, and that's just kind of way happens naturally. So, just play after play, that's kind of how we roll. I'll say, good, thank you guys. We are now, we gotta get you on the phone. Good both ways, but we do have to challenge our receivers. We can't let them run free. They're very talented over there, so we gotta go out there, trust our skills, trust our technique, and see what happens. Front row here, Tim May, let them in the row. Yeah, Jordan, how much is Jelts' communication? You, you, Caleb, and Nathan, grown through, especially the last half of the season, you know, especially the way they've been using you, you know,

and that almost saved you whole stuff out. How much is it grown, that you could put your finger on? Yeah, I was growing immensely. I mean, Caleb, he makes a lot of checks. Nathan makes a lot of checks. I listen to them. Whatever they need, if I need to cover somebody out, I'll go cover anybody, if they need me to do run support, I'll do run support, and it's really what Caleb does, what we do, and Nathan. It just goes back to Coach G's preparation, and everyone's preparation to give us more flexibility and it doesn't matter who's in those positions, and we can all play every position, whether it's covering somebody or running, running and tackling. Did you feel like that was the case before the Oregon game? You're showing up, Sammy. Is that something that's been added to, it just, you know, rely on a little bit more, go ahead. Yeah, it did. I've probably been a Brasca game, Megan, and more safety reps, and we had a five week to prepare, so I really learned to play, but a lot more, even though I knew to play, but I learned a lot more, like in-depth, you know, so really just after the Oregon game,

it helped me a lot to go back to safety, go to NICU, everywhere. Nathan, what do you guys have given up, a big play in the passing game of the first game against Oregon? What do you feel like you guys need to do better this time around, just to make sure that doesn't happen? Just the same mindset, we got to challenge these receivers. You know, every dog has their day, maybe some people didn't have their day that game, but we'll look out there and hopefully change the narrative, and we still play with the same confidence, same technique, and, you know. Bill Rebellion, what's the problem with this patch? And Denzel obviously had a tough game, and that one. What have you seen from him and how he's responded? Do you get a sense of, from him, how he's been preparing for this rematch? Yeah, he's super stoked for this rematch. His preparation has been very good. He's always been preparing, you know, it didn't go the way he wanted to go that game, but he just always had his confidence,

and we're going to see a big game out of him this week. And, you know, I know you guys wanted to play them in anapolis, but the fact that you get to play them at the Rose Bowl, I mean, get a second chance, and people have said they'll get that very often. How determined are you guys to take advantage of it? We're super, super determined. We watched film. I mean, we've lost a lot of film. The first time we played them, now we've got another six games that they played up film to watch. And it's just, they've grown a lot as a team. Same as us. We've grown a lot. We're not the same team. We were when we played them week one, or weeks six or whatever, but now we're out there and going to play thighs, physical, and everything like that. Jordan, we're going to jump to the Zoom question here from Joey Kaufman, Columbus Dispatch. Oh, my bad. You're not too joint. Can't we T. Robinson, the athletic? Hey, Jordan, you've moved around a lot in the second day I knew in your career, and now kind of getting some many more safety reps. What is it like at this point when Walt or Coach Mills

comes to you and asks you to do some else, and just how much can you lean on the experiences you've had and moving around when you're trying to learn something new in the middle of the season? It means a lot. We always talk about when this is even being on selfish, whether that's making plays or not making plays, or doing your job so another person can make plays. That's kind of what we pride ourselves on. And it's just fun. We've moved around different positions. I'm always up for a new challenge. And a lot of people in the country can't do that. I just hold myself to that standard where I can play any position and excel at it. Okay, and anybody else need to question? Let me know, but otherwise we're going to go to Austin more of the podcast. Jordan, when you were talking about watching film Oregon, which one do you think is more valuable to you watching that against yourself, seven games ago, even if you've changed, or the ensuing six games for Oregon, which one do you put more stock in? Kind of both. For me, I kind of watched what I did,

things I did well, things I didn't do too well against them. And their team, their scheme has changed. Some players have been out those stretch of games. So I really watched the past game we played. And I know they're going to go back to some of the stuff that they liked, of course, and different games like Penn State, maybe Illinois, they run a lot of men. So just watching, watching stuff like that, every game matters. So yeah. Jordan, thank you very much. Thank you. I know it's just one, but have you felt different this year, because I've been sitting at Penn State for a few years, but it's not like on this team have this year. Yeah, but I kind of like they're saying, that's a privilege for everybody to have those expectations for us, because they're there for a reason. There's a ton of special guys on this team. And there's no real reward. I feel like there is no pressure. You want to have your back against the wall. And we have that big red target on our back.

And that's something we didn't have last year. Something I'm kind of used to being from Ohio State, but I definitely do think that saying is kind of what this team is about. We love that pressure. We want that pressure. And we want to answer that bell every time we get a chance to. So I definitely do think that's what we're going to live by. And we're really excited to have this type of team, because as you can see, we're very close, and we love each other. Did you like the good in that and not over the strategies for life? You said it right there. It's a trap. So why fall? Why look at things that I can't control? Why worry about things that I can't control? I can only control my play and my effort and my execution. So I think today, even though we missed a lot of plays, and we didn't execute at the highest level, we execute at a high level. High level, to win the game. Man, tungsten. But yes, you know, so. Yeah. Hello, everybody.

Welcome in here to the Truth Serum NFL Sunday week one. Joey, the Truth Wagner with you. And thank you for watching the post game press conferences here for the Houston Texans. One of the most entertaining games of the 1 p.m. window, the early window, a thriller against the cult's final score, Houston 29, Indianapolis 27, that CJ Stroud leading his Texans to a week one win on the road against a divisional foe in week two. Everybody, CJ Stroud was just CJ Stroud level good. 24 of 32 through the air, composed, efficient, two touchdowns, no picks. He is just so good. Everybody.

He is just so good. And we said it last year, we'll keep on saying it this year. Houston Texans got the guy at quarterback, and they also got the guy at head coach too. Houston is going to be a threat here for a very, very long time, very, very long time. But a two point win for Houston, like I said, Stroud had 234 yards. Also, who had a monster day for Houston in the run game, Joe Nixon. Talk about him. 30 carries 159 yards and a touchdown. Nico Collins was the leading receiver for the Texans six receptions for 117. Stefan Diggs caught six passes for Houston. But only 33 yards receiving for Diggs. So we'll see how quickly it is when the,

when he starts the palton win and complain on the sideline. Anthony Richardson, you had the good and the bad for him. He had two passing touchdowns also ran for another, but he was only nine of 19 for, for two hundred twelve yards added six carries for 56 yards on the ground. Couple of long touchdowns for the coach was the premise of their offense, a 60 yards strike to Alec Pierce, 54 yards strike to Ashton Dullin. But overall, a very, very good win for the Houston Texans on the road against whom I think is a sneaky, sneaky underrated team in the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts. Final score in this one, 2927. And thank you for watching the Postgame Press conferences as well as our Postgame reaction

for the Colts and the Texans. CJ Stroud, Tameco Ryan's and all the goods. Thank you.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

It's been tough, man. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep.

I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep. I'm winning my rep.

I know what the result you wanted, but did you feel differently about today and connections you were making with you? Not really. You know me and Aaron have a great relationship, great chemistry on the field. Not really impressed or surprised or anything like that. It's just frustrating because you make the big plays but you don't win so it don't matter. I'm expecting for you guys during the buy. You have six weeks left, six games left after that. How do you guys get prepared for that stretch run? Talk, take rest of the criticism, practice, get some rest and revamp and try to get this thing going. The fans obviously, we're not happy with the start. Can you guys sympathize with them and the emotions they were showing? It is what it is. They're going to feel how they're going to feel. Like I said, the end of the day is no point in making excuses. You're not going to win football games. I'm going to have a sleep. I'm going to have a sleep. I'm going to change everything.

It's definitely a chance because we're at the best college. It's definitely been as hard as I thought it would be. I would say that. I think coach going is a really good coach. He's a really good coach, a really good person. And then obviously coach Dickie, coach Johnson, coach Fields. We're all good at this. Four coaches. We're a lot more split up because we've got more coaches to do. More drills and stuff. Are you rubbing strictly for our? Right garden one. He's got a little bit more rubber as it's already. He's just turned off the box. So he's having a little stuff to do at the start. Obviously, I need to be versatile because last year people went down.

You've got to be ready with your number of scalds obviously. Because we had Seth go down, Jimmy go down. And like you always, you've got to be ready 100% of the time. Otherwise, you just got to be ready. You guys being there. You're not in different spots. You're going to be ready. Well, you've seen that throughout all the guys on the list. I would say like half goal line is doing that. Maybe you come from Michigan. I feel like that's not too common. Or a higher state player to come from there. What does that experience like? I would say it's not. I would say it's that crazy because I grew up in Michigan State fan. But obviously I committed to Northwestern. Because I never got. I never got really like looked at by the Michigan State coaching staff. And then obviously they didn't have like a great. I was just, my last hop you got fired. So obviously, and then I know I say call me something like, you can't pass it up. So obviously, not here. What is your goal for this season in terms of your development? And where do you want to be by time fall camp ends and the season starts?

My goal is to skip better every day. And just see what I need to be. It's team to go when games. Where have you been primarily working this spring? Well position. Right guard left guard. I got one there. So how have you changed physically? Last year like, wait, are you up to decide if you changed physically? I got here because I came, I was in summer and roley. So I came in at like 295. And now I just like consistently free 15. Now I imagine I try to be away free 15. Yeah, yeah. You play both guard spots I think you're saying, right? That seems like everybody we're talking to is like multiple spawns. As you were saying, you need to be, you guys learn last year, you have to be versatile in the old line. Yeah. It's a good core about that if you would. Obviously, because it's not good when you're all American center goes down last year. But obviously Carson was a really good asset. So he started the year before. So he's really good. It's not like we had a big drop off. So we always got to be ready. If you obviously, the losing coach probably is the guy you've got a little relationship with. I didn't hear a year from on campus, but then someone coached phone,

and they obviously the coach challenged him. I know you knew from Purdue a little bit at least. Well, always a like to hear that he's coming to me like, oh, at least a familiar name that I kind of already know. It's good seeing familiar faces. And yeah, obviously, I like both of them. So it's, I mean, it's not really drop off. It's right. So it's good. Especially a very decent one. Sorry, I called. I just walked out. Mike's busy over there. Jerry's gone. I'm not going to say any other question. Yeah, it's a good to be honest. He's been around the coach up here today. Well, it's kind of the things that you notice around him, just whether it's how he is or just what your thoughts of him being around him most. Hey, he's an incredibly detailed guy. And yeah, I got that for sure from him. I was just like watching a film when he broke down. Just like some gang film with me. And he also accomplished some of the guys that he's coaching the past that are similar to me. And that was a, he really just showed how good a coach is. Getting to know Coach Morbale during this experience, what has that been like?

It was good. He's a very passionate guy. And I mean, I love that. Like the head coach should have that. And yeah, you can tell how much he cares about what the guys want the program. And about just like being dedicated, being driven to win to succeed. What did they tell you about the opportunity here as far as meeting a player of your sort at a position? Well, I mean, they see me at the left, tackling this, I'll be a good fit, you know, coming in. But I was, I think Coach Morbale stressed, you know, lots of other great, all kinds of linemen in the portal that have lost the risk of being a fan that fill wise on now. I'll be a good fit when it comes to such as what you guys do. But if you see does, I'm just like the people here. What's kind of the ultimate feeling now about FSU at youth? So I'll just take experience with them. What's kind of the feeling about them? Yeah, it's definitely a good feeling. It's great. I'm glad that I was actually able to come down here because I mean, Zoom calls and phone calls are nice, but you know, in person is a lot different.

And this is again to know the staff, you're getting to know Coach Herb, you know, Coach Morbale, it was a great experience overall. Who at least had to be checked out during this process? What other schools? I've talked to some other people, so I've talked to a house in Iowa and Ann, really just, yeah, that's what we've been in. I've tried to keep it short, tried to keep it sweet. I really need to be torn up up to schools. I mean, that's not the main priority. Are you entering decision mode now? Are you in 10 takes on trips in early January? Yeah, I'm done with it. When do you want to decide? Some type of a Christmas. Good old. For those of us who only see maybe highlights of you, what are kind of your strengths in the areas that you're looking to improve on? So shrink wise, I would say, prior to this movement, I mean, I've been told my coach heard, you know, I'm very well for a 345 pound guy. I fight, I've been done off-done. It's like meant to get out of my stance as a big thing for me, so big, and just be able to move people.

But at the same time, I'm also just being consistent and can't place any punch. I'm in full work in general to technique. So I mean, if you're a big strong guy, then you can only do so much when you don't have right technique. So that's a big reason why I want to have a good old line of coach work, just to refine that technique to be precise in everything. That's kind of like what I'm looking for to improve. Off-shamant. Pre-workout foods. I try to eat some predsuits, you know, there has a little bit of carbs on there. So it gets my body started, I know everybody's different, but for sure works out for me. And then after, I just don't just do a shake. I feel like I took kind of two full before lunch, so I definitely just do a shake. You know, after practice or after live, you know, just to make sure, you know, I'm getting a protein and just getting everything back to that. While I swear I'm working out. All right, it's time for some rapid fire questions. Do I care about my macros? I try to, you know, you're supposed to eat brown, for me, it's like 2,500 to 3,000 calories.

So I definitely try to make sure I'm accumulating on every day until, you know, how much I need this day and that day. Because you know, sometimes, you know, my appetite's kind of different depending on how my day is. My favorite carbs, for sure, I have to eat one of my favorite foods is french fries. So, you know, it kind of definitely plays a hurt in my diet. For sure, breakfast, you know, it's my birthday now. So it knows the easiest day to make. If I did my piece of crust anything, it had to be cheese or, you know, I thought you can't go wrong with either one. I eat in bed, yeah, I do. You know, I'm a big guy, you know, I'm not a friend like you going back to school. For sure, I'm where I'm at. I'm all talking better, but, you know, you do your own thing. My dream taco, I think, is just normal bread tacos, you know, it's pretty good. I wanted to say, this guy is the protein in my pan. You know, sometimes it gets just a little gritty and, you know, once she makes it that well, I think it really helps out the shake a lot. I just want to say, just work hard to stay dedicated to whatever you're doing.

Everything's not going to be all right sometimes, but, you know, it's going to be all right after time. But, you know, it's going to work out at the end. There's seniority impact the offense in a positive way. And personally, where have you seen Jeremiah Smith grow in this camp? I mean, obviously he's had all these accolades, et cetera, and people gushing about him for, you know, he even started camping stuff. But where have you seen him actually make some growth? Probably just his mental, just his ability to, you know, taking the good with the bad and, you know, kind of consume the playbook. And, you know, growing his knowledge of the game, because as a freshman when you come in, that's something that, you know, you may lack a little more than your physical ability, especially for someone like Jeremiah. He has all the physical tools you might need. So it's kind of catching up that mental game and it can be hard as a freshman because there's so much stuff flying over your head, especially with all the praise he's receiving. But he's, he's taking it, you know, the best way he can and he's doing great.

Yeah, and you and Marvin seem to embrace even the competitive nature of these practices, right? If you've seen him do that, I mean, you know, he's not going against Haskell corners anymore. He's going to get his dizzle germane and, and you know, those guys. Yeah, absolutely. We kind of, we try to recruit guys with that dog mentality, you know, it's not really something you're going to want to teach them. It's going to be something that you, you hope they already have and he definitely has that. He has that competitive spirit, that competitive nature. So it definitely shows when, you know, going against, you know, bigger talent. Yeah, they got to don't care like a picture how you guys will get through this. This often seems like there's been a concentration slash focus on the one game. Maybe this is going to be a run first offense. That has two guys in the room. I mean, we don't, you know, we got to see how everything stacks up when we put on the field, but I mean a run first offense opens up big lanes for the passes. You know, you got to take the safety's low. You got to do all that type of stuff.

So it's less about, it's less about who gets the touches and more about, you know, how we can capitalize on opportunities that we're giving. So you agree that people are right for taking offense. Is it like a, like I said, we're still pretty good. I mean, you can, I mean, you can tell you in any way you want. We have the best running back, backfield in the entire nation. And we have the best receiver unit in the nation. So we kind of, we're kind of jack of all trades. So you've been moved around the offense in the past of different things, emotions, different trade and ways to get open. But has that increased any knowledge of Kelly's here or is it kind of the same? Probably stay away from talking about scheme stuff. What, what was it that Jeremiah did that you think enabled to be in? I'm just coming in every single day and competing. That's really what we're challenged to do as, as bug guys, when we, when we walk into the way we're going to coach, make your supposed to be there and show up and show out every single day. And you're not allowed to have a step back and not allowed to have an off day.

He took, he took care of all his, you know, the non negotiables of this program. He was never late. He made his way every single day. He gave his 100% effort. Not the end of the day. He was just winning a lot of competitions and just grinding. So yeah. I'm going to do a lot less. That's great. A lot about. Branding. Branding didn't get a chance to do a lot this spring. What stood out to you, even when he was on the field this spring, that, that basically things like he can be a legit and back player. Well, yeah, first and foremost, he got, he got voted on by his peers to the leadership committee on our team, which is a group of about, you know, 16 to 20 of our, of our guys who the team looks to as leaders. So obviously you can see how people think of him on this team. They think highly of him. And he comes in every day as a very fiery competitive nature. And, you know, he puts in really hard work and days in and days out. So even though he hasn't seen the field too much yet, we have no, we have no concern that when he does stuff onto the field, he's going to make a great impact. He's only been here here.

Yeah. Last summer, he allowed him, like, he's done as well as specifies. He can be on a leadership committee. I have to prepare for 165 days. Yeah, just his ability to be able to, you know, talk a good game, but also back it up. Not in a sense of playing football, but more in a sense of we're going to be the hardest working team on the field. We're going to go in day in day out. I'm going to, I'm going to beat you even when I don't feel healthy, even when I don't feel good, all that type of stuff. It's, it's all a mentality. From far away, it looks like violent matches. It's kind of a little bit like young bear. Right. We're here with Dick. Like, do you see that in him? Yeah. I'm not trying to compare it to the number 10 overall pick. Do you see that a little bit in the way that he can shift around? Yeah, he definitely is very fluid about the way he moves and we see it in his, in his, you know, his routes and his releases. So, you know, when, when all the White receivers are, you know, in the film room and, you know, he's getting crapped, he's doing all this body movement stuff. It's like, okay, we could see he got a little something to him. So, it's just about bringing him along, you know, he wasn't, you know, he, he just got here.

It's first, first year here, kind of built on a long, there's steps you got to take, but he's definitely training in the right direction. I'm not going to let a lot of teams get talent for whatever reason you guys seem to develop, develop their receivers better than anyone. What, what goes on out there that somehow helps Ohio State keep placing guys in Canada? We play Denzel, Davidson, Ibn Olsen, Germain Matthews, Jordan Hancock, Layton Ransom, Caleb Downs. That's really what it is. It's a, it's BIA getting this better every single day. So, tremendous credit to the defense and the, the ability to be able to develop corners like that. It's just good on good every single day. That's, that's the way you get better. How much do you want the coaches to get open like? You're a center. I mean, we definitely have a strong second there. I would say this year. But, you know, it's just, it's just, it's not just their talent that makes them special. It's their, it's their ability to go hard every single day. They show up every single day with a competitive nature. And, you know, we're going back and forth on the field every single day. They'll be bigger and, and spin that each other a little bit. But, it's all love at the end of the day. We appreciate them for getting this better.

Let's question a method. You, you do a lot of things this, all that to have that you can all clear. Brandon seems like a guy who do so much. Whether it will move around, whether it's just things or anything. You see kind of that same worst-out build in Brandon's. It's kind of something they do. Yeah, absolutely. Brandon, you know, he came up, played running back for a lot of his life, played a little quarterback here in there. You know, now he's received very, he can do a lot of different things. So, we just try to put him in a position where he can be the most successful in the position that makes him the most successful. Or just the ball on his hand. So, we try to do that for him. And, and a bunch of other guys in the program who thrive with that. All right, and my question about Al Sam. And speed, get those guards. That's, that's really helps me a lot. What were the conversations like when this first came up, that you possibly think, who are you talking to, what was it like in your mind when they asked you about tension? Well, I talked to Coach Jay. Coach Jay was the main one. He wasn't forcing me or nothing. He just said, if you want to move inside, you can't, if not, you still did, then you can do that as well.

But, I saw that I could help the team out. Yes, I'm definitely there. So, I chose to move inside. I'm a lot of guys here. I'm a lot of people. As I told you, I was like, I'm a lot of people. I'm a lot of people. I'm a lot of people. How? I'm expecting the best of you. This part is, you know, also, what makes, what do you do from Jay? Jay team is tightly combined. What is left of you? Jack, then Jack, JTE, Tileek, Air Tome, to a great leaders, ordered on the field. They're helping me with just simple stuff. If I didn't know where to go, get something down, they'll tell me, or they just like hanging out with me, doing an enclosure. Just a lot of different small things that got brought us closer to like last year. They already started going this year. I haven't started yet, but I'm going to give it to you.

I feel like, maybe we teach now that anybody can be a leader, no matter what year, first week, so I'm going to join your team. Or even if we're walking, everybody can be a leader. But when did it hit you last year that this technique, this thing can work for me. You know me, you have to grow into it. I had to grow into it a little bit. It's very new, especially playing D in my own life. But I had Tileek help me, like I said, throughout the whole process. When did it really strike you that I could be a factor? What game or how do you feel comfortable on this, or anything else? I would say closer to us to playoffs, meet him with Tileek a lot. I felt comfortable, okay, I can actually do this. Because he showed me some stress I have, like see him, see, you can do this. And that really helped me get the confidence in what I can. But then you became a factor, you became a factor especially, you know, especially through the playoffs and stuff. What did me do to be a factor that early?

All the word of God, first of all, to keep me healthy, to keep doing that. But it's been a lot that Coach James trusted me enough to go on end of the big games like that. And I knew that I would be able to produce. What about your skillset, do you think, did so well? Definitely speed and strength, those are my main two. And I was saying, will help me inside of those guards. I really want to be inside, but you were actually really wanting to be a champion. So what's the changes in the moment? Just realizing your body's taken you there anyway. What is the moment for you to be like, what exactly are you going to think about? Definitely, the Marbaay thing also, and so I thought the interview, and talk about some of those interviews I said the main thing was being a team player and moving the three-tags was going to help the team. So I was willing to move this hand forward. Let's look up for some Jason and Will and Timewan. Eighting, disordered, nothing to attack us.

Something that's absolutely... It's very competitive. We all come in trying to see where we need to get better and just to keep moving forward. So it's pretty good competition, and I love them. And Drake, you made the move during the bi-week last year, was that right? What was the toughest part about that whole crash course? Really, nothing. I really embraced it. I made the move inside in order to help out the team. And we had some really great years last year, much more in. JT Jack, Kenny Kerry, Kenny Jay, so it was pretty good, and then moving the three-tags, and I also asked them down there while still being able to showcase what I got there. Did you feel like you... Like, just needed to get done quickly. Like, did you feel that pressure to get it done quickly? Because you needed to be ready for that next game? No, they were all in on me just whenever I'm ready. Just let them know how I feel about moving in or setting myself. Did you see the five-tags?

We had a leader in the three-tags right now, and we're going with you. You played as a freshman, so it takes place a pressure. John Wayne's names, guys. I think they're going to be the same. JT Jack Wayne has trained with all the guys that came in, and they continue to work hard every day. Even if they don't get it the first time, they don't ask us, what do I do in this situation to help me out? So, the ability to keep trying to learn from people that's playing in more big stage, that's the way it really goes, keep it going. Were you surprised how quickly things did start to click? You were excited. Given you said they were going to be patient with you, but by the time you get to the playoffs, you're playing quite a bit. Was that a surprise? I'm quickly interested in trying to happen. Not really. I knew what I got it. Jose was going to trust me a lot more than to keep going out there every time. So, I appreciate it. Like I said earlier, thank you, Lord. And thank you guys. Thank you. We're just focused on playing as fast as possible. Our coaches put us in the right position to do so.

So, it's our job to execute it in terms of what happened two years ago. Yeah, two years ago. I can't really speak on it now because I'm where you all was happening now. But it's just playing with the brothers next to you, playing for the man next to you, and not trying to let him down rather than your own selfish success is what we're all aiming for. Right in front of him, Stefan Krasnik, Cleveland.com. Seth is a guy who's had the playup experience. He's also probably stepping this Tennessee team in years past. Maybe more so than anyone. How much kind of as a coach now has he been able to help out these last few weeks whether it be Michigan, Wheat, Bernal, and Lee, up to Tennessee? Yeah, he helps out as much as he can. He's always here. You know, maybe not in the outdoor practice. He hasn't really gone to those, but the indoor ones, obviously in the meeting rooms. He's a really insavable person. He's always helping out Carson and always helping out the guards. Because, yeah, you're right. You know, he's played against the team many times, being at his former institution, but he's just given us insight on what we need to do

to compete at the highest level against this D-line, because obviously they're a great group. And then just helping us improve as best he can. So, you know, he's still just as involved as he was before the incident happened. He's just trying to give back as much as he can. Second or right. Bill Landis, games of the North. We've seen, we saw a wood plate center, some in camp. I've always played some tackles, and played some jumbo tight-end. What in your mind would make him a good guard for you guys? I mean, all of that is just versatility. You know, I feel like Luke is versatile enough to play, plug, and play anywhere we need him to be. And he's had some great success at guard in the past couple of practices. But he's shown a great ability to anchor and being able to... He's been playing stronger in my opinion, so he's developing in the right direction. But like I said, we just need to write a step up at this point. Because even the younger guys, we need them to have the mindset of that.

They could play at any time, because it's unfortunate what's happening. But we need everybody to be able to go. Frank Roe, Bill Rebenowitz, Columbus Dispatch. I don't know, you started the year playing your normal position behind... or next to a potential first round pick at Josh. And you guys would have to be the Remington trophy winner. Both of those guys are going on your playing a new position. Tell me what it's been like on the offensive line for you, especially having played the Michigan game, and that didn't go well, and now you have a chance to do everything you wanted to do. What's the mindset of the offensive line right now? Yeah, I mean, it has been easy. You lose the best center in the country. Everyone knows he's the best center in the country. He's a brain of the operation. He puts his position to succeed. And obviously you lose Josh Simmons, who used the lockdown tackle. Like you didn't have to think about who was going against you. Like, you know, Josh got it. Like, we can worry about what we got to do everywhere else, because Josh is going to handle this stuff. So now we got to take a step back and be like, okay, where can we attack to put our guys in the right position?

Because what we did before is not what we can do now. And so we got new guys stepping up playing, and they're playing at a competitive level. But we got to put guys in the right position to succeed for games coming forward. And we didn't execute nearly as well as we wanted to last game, obviously. But we are it's a beautiful thing about football, beautiful thing about the playoffs, that we have another opportunity to go out there and play. Austin Warren, podcast. You think... Back to, you know, we mentioned in camp. Maybe Austin would have to fill in for you in the short term. Like, what advice do you have? And Zen goes into the line at, then Carson comes back in. You have this now with Luke. Is your conversation advice communication the same with all four? Have you had to tweak the message? I'm sure you're tired of having to keep going through this process, really. Are they all the cases the same? You tell them the exact same message no matter who it is, or different, depending on each of those four guys. Yeah, I've gotten really good at giving motivational speeches this year. But yeah, it's always different.

You know, with Zen coming in, we'll start at the beginning with Austin going in. It was like, hey man, you're fine. Like, this is the same game you've been playing just in front of a lot more people. You know, you've been doing it for a long time. Just keep doing what you're doing. Then when Zen came in, I was like, look man, I'm here next to you the entire time. Like, you're not doing this alone. Just communicate and we'll be eyeed. And the message changes varying per position. Everyone takes messages in different ways. But the end goal is always the same as just to play absolutely hardest and worry about the result later. And final question, Tim May. Yeah, I was wondering, is there a common theme when you're going against a talented defensive front, like, you know, the previous game and in this one, with Tennessee, that they may not be able to play the game. They may not be as tricky because they're really good players. You understand what I'm saying? I mean, they could sometimes win one-on-one battles and stuff. Just what does gotta be the mindset against going against a defensive front like this one?

Yeah, I mean, the defense front going against Tennessee is very talented. You know, they rotate a lot of guys and all those guys can go. Like, they're relentless. I don't give you a time to breathe because once one guy goes in and another guy goes in. And he's just as good as the one that just came out. So the main message is just to a strange, strange, brood off, man. Get out. You got one-on-one. Like you said, like, they're going to play you. They're going to play their defense. And it's our job to execute our offense. So a lot of respect to their front. I feel like, obviously, that very talented guys on that front across the board from interior to the edges. But we just got to execute what's called to the best of our abilities. Thank you, Donald. And thank you very much. Thanks, Ben. The friend of my own, if you would. That was a tough one. I like that one. I like that one. You're pretty outgoing. Is he the same or is he the same? What you think? What would you say about this? I would say it's difficult to be more outgoing.

You think about going? Yeah, you come in and you smile. Is it a bad thing? No, not at all. You just kind of seem opposite. You're a good personality. Like, Gus seems very, like, you seem very bubbly and talkative. Or Gus seems very like, you know what I'm saying? So I think I said we're trying to kind of get it. Like, what? Like, how does this work? Are you? I'm a track. Look, look. Gus could be outgoing sometimes. He could be outgoing sometimes. But I mean, I mean, I just, I don't know. Maybe, God just gave me a gift of, you know, be a light, you know? Maybe, you know what I'm saying? Because even through like hard times, I'm still smiling though.

You know, because every day is a blessing, you know? And especially to do the job that I do, it's a blessing. Especially after all the stuff that I've been through on the field. I got no reason but to smile, right? What do you think? Still here on the 53 man roster after the stuff that I've been through on the field. But I hope they feel the same way. I hope it's not a bad thing. But look, let me tell you this though. When I'm losing, you will not see me smiling. There's only time, like one of the only time you'll see that. On the third game was it to see the offensive line blocking and seeing those holes up and up and kind of imagining how you could fit in with that scheme? You know, man, those guys are beast. You know what I'm saying? Like I said earlier in the camp, like, I got a little bit of experience under me. Like it's always chemistry. Like when you first get into camp, when you first put a whole line together and then you put the runner backs with it, it takes chemistry.

Always does. It's never going to be like, sometimes it is. You know, rarely it is. Like everybody's on the same track every time. You know? And the offense last year was nothing. I don't think it was anything like the offense we have this year, right? You know, these guys are trying to get their chemistry together and me with them. You know, I'm trying to get chemistry with them and we're seeing it, make sure we're seeing it the same way. And now, like, what you're talking about, I think everybody's seeing it the same way. We have a chemistry, which is a beautiful thing in a C because it's going to keep getting better and better. And that's what you're going to be like. You're going to be like, dang. This is different, you know? So, I think that's what it is. And I love seeing it. I love seeing it because all those guys are my guys. Even the years you were healthy, did you ever not play in a preseason before? Like this? Just gear and up going in the week one? Yes.

What was it? My third and fourth year. My third and fourth year. The one time I did play in a preseason, because my rookie year, I didn't play in a preseason. We had COVID. So, the one year that I did play in a preseason, we all know what happened. Nightmare. Nightmare, man. That was a nightmare, but maybe a better man, you know? So, I appreciate that moment, too. I can look bad at going in now and be in smile about it because I made it through that storm. You know, you always got to make it through the storm. I ran into the storm, like, I think it was, I want to say, it's bulls compared to cows. Like, cows run away from the storm. Bulls run to the storm to get through it faster. You know what I'm saying? Have you ever heard of this story? So, yeah, my name is El Toro. You know what I'm saying? So, if it's me, like, they made it in Baltimore and like, I'm running to the storm. Let's get this over with, because I know I'm going to get through it. You know what I'm saying?

So, I mean, whenever, because I didn't know that, I really didn't know that one set of cows, I guess you could say they run away from the storm and the bull runs to it. I didn't know that. That's pretty cool to know. And then my name, so it happened to be from Baltimore, El Toro. So, I don't know man, some things I know, be stacking up. This guy named David Andre. He's a reporter, I think. Yeah, he's a reporter. He gave me that name because I started speaking Spanish so good. Yeah, you know? Yeah. But yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You have to be a man. No, man. What? Look, look, look, look, I'm open-looking. Me and this nice-looking young lady right here, we were talking about how we, like, just learning, I love to, you know, be, learn people's cultures, you know, learn about people.

Like you, I would love to learn about you. What makes you you, right? We could, I bet you we can get it out in 15 seconds. Where are you from? Where are you from? Here. You from here? Mostly. Mostly, what's that mean? I was born in Milwaukee. I was there from here. When we filled out here. Take the boy out of Philly, but you can't take the Philly out of the boy. Okay, so you look, look, look, I already learned. I already know. You, you a tough guy. You, you a tough guy, but you got a soft spot in you because you've been living out here. Give me tough out here too. You can on the 405's, the Philly, Philly, Philly. Yeah, but you got it, you got it, man. You got it. Just what he did last year is a, it's a true freshman. You know, him being able to play an impact team like that. Obviously, I want that for myself. So, you know, I'm going to push myself to that limit. You know, try to be able to feel it here when that's my plan. That's the biggest reason I came here because I have an opportunity to play here when. So, me having that opportunity is good and, you know, I'm going to come out here and compete.

Like I said, I'm putting myself at the bottom. So, I'm working, I'm going to work every day like I'm at the bottom and I got to get to the top. How, what, what do you feel like it's going to take for you to get from the bottom to the top? You know, just, just discipline. They're big on discipline here and, you know, competitive and excellent. So, it's just staying consistent every day, just doing the rights, having little to none, mental errors. That's going to give me on a sale. You know, I do, I do what I'm supposed to do. That's, that's how it'll give me on the field. How do you manage those expectations for people to think that you should be playing week one when the season comes around? How do you manage people basically? You know, I don't really let, let me get to my head because, you know, like I'm here. You know, I got dudes in the room that are, you know, like IGB, you know, he's going to be a 3-year star. I got your main, a personal American, you know, he's going to play this year too. So, I can't let what people can say on the net, you know, get to me because, you know, anybody can say, oh, he's going to play this year, but you know, I actually got to prove it. So, I actually got to come out here, you know, work, you know, and in that spot. What's the most important thing you've learned so far in your three months here?

Um, competing every day. That's the biggest thing. Having to compete, you know, these guys are a pair. They take winning and losing to heart. So, you know, my first, my first week up here when we did our competition, you know, I was winning, did I ask you, I got that first loss on my belt and, you know, it kind of opened my eyes. These guys take it to heart when they lose. They don't like it. So, you know, I kind of got that now where I don't like losing. You had the opportunity to be around the team for that CFP run. What did you learn from Just Goast II being the teammate that run? You know, being real tight with your brothers. You know, they're real tight. You know, they push each other. You know, it's a real brotherhood. They don't let nobody down. They always got each other back. So, I mean, it's a new team now. So, you know, we got to build that chemistry with each other, you know, just get tight. And I feel like when I was there for that playoff run and I practiced, when they were at the National Championship, you know, I just got to watch, you know, how guys are, you know, real locked in. They're close with each other.

They're not letting nobody slack off. And, you know, I feel like we had the opportunity to do that with this team now. How did you handle Luke? You handle that first loss. That first loss, you know, it kind of got to me. It was the IGB. You know, he, you know, he let me hear. So, after that loss, I was like, now I can't let this happen anymore. It's because it's like, now it's not high school where you used 17, 16 years old. And if you lose, you lose. Up here, it's not. If you lose, the coach will see that. So, and they're going to see how you respond to it. So, I feel like I had to, you know, open my eyes, I had to go, go in there and lock them. Like, yeah, I can't let this happen anymore, you know. So, I got to grow up. And, you know, these guys are counting on me too. So, it's really important that I don't lose. If you hadn't described yourself as a competitor, how would you do that? I'm a great competitor, you know. I like winning. Who does one like winning? So, I mean, winning is, it's in my blood. You know, my parents taught me that in a young age, you know, going out there competing for anything that you want. And I feel like if you can go out there to compete for, you know, as yours. And if you compete for it all the time, who don't take it from me? So, I mean, I'm a good competitor.

I'm always going to go out there and try to take what's mine. If it's out there, then anybody that can have it. And I'm going to be the one that's going to get it. There's some role markers in your room, obviously. Are you a talker? What would your natural resources be? Yeah, I mean, it could come out on you know. But I don't really, I really know my game through the talking for this part. But, you know, if it gets there, it gets to that point where, yeah, I can bring it out. Because, you know, regardless, I'm not just going to let nobody just come out here and just, you know, catch balls on me. So, if I'm having a good day when I'm consistently getting T.B.U.s, yeah, I'm a talker. But, you know, being in that room, you kind of got to talk. You know, the Jermaine, you got IGB, you know, those real talkers in that room. So, it kind of makes you want to bring it out. And, you know, when we bring that out, that just brings energy out of the whole defense. And when you got the whole defense clicking, I mean, you can see, you can see what happened. Is there anyone that's kind of, like, a competition you had with IGB? It was during the winter. We were doing, you know, just stuff on the field. We was just having the time of the field. Just a lot of competitions. So, I mean, he just kind of, it was a day where, you know, they had us going up against just a freshman.

And then they kind of threw us in there and fired against the other guys. So, we had to, you know, we had to wake up and, you know, we all kind of lost. And then we all kind of, like, we all kind of came to get that as a freshman group, like, what are we going to do about this? Because, you know, some of their kind ofness to step up in those roles. Is that kind of you're welcome to call it? Yeah, definitely, definitely. Definitely, my work on college moments. You know, just showing that, you know, it's real now, a metal high-oh-state. I'm not in Houston, Texas, I'm more in my school. Far from my family, you know, I got to wake up, I got to grow, I got to mature fast. And, you know, I just got to get ready for the next level. You've mentioned high school a couple times. How did, you know, growing up very in Texas, playing at that level. How do you feel like that helped you prepare for a real high-state? I feel like you prepared good, you know. I feel like I went to a powerhouse in Texas. We obviously ran the Houston area. You know, we've been running the Houston area for a long time now. And I feel like, you know, we're a real college program. We live just like these guys who do the same lifts. You know, the level of ball I play, the highest level ball in the Texas 6A. You know, we're going against guys like Dunkin' Bill, North Crowley, those top schools.

You know, receiving the coin where I go against them. I want to get some three times in my career. So, I mean, those that really prepared me for this level, you know, coming in like, okay, this is not where it's a little school where they don't believe that I can come here and make an impact. I came from big schools, so they're counting on me to make an impact. Because, you know, I think, I mean, everybody would say Texas is one of the highest football players in the country. You know, they go as Florida and they're probably Georgia. So, I mean, they're counting on me to be ready and that level of ball prepared me real, real well. How'd you do against DeCory? You know, it was when lose, when lose. You know, I went something, he lost something. So, I mean, it's just getting better on a shot from higher. Because, you know, he's the top receiver, obviously, in our class. You know, I feel like he's going to have a good impact at working. So, I mean, it's just what's going to happen next. Is it important to see him again? Yeah, definitely, definitely. And you know, I plan on planning against him. We want to see him this year, hopefully we'll see him in the big team in championships.

So, you know, I want that rematch, man. DeVa, you committed super early in the process six months after that. You shut things down when, quite frankly, someone of your caliber didn't have to do that. You could have, you've seen kids play the game a little bit longer than that. But you chose to not do that. It's kind of a lot getting here. Why? You know, because this is where I felt this was home. So, you know, I didn't really feel like, you know, standing, chasing, was a good thing for me. I didn't feel like that was home for me. Up here, I just felt like it was home. You know, because of all that, because they, you know, they're making it, you know, making me feel important up here. And then, you know, like, you could ask, because how many times I came up here, throughout my high school career, I came up here for 13 times. So, it got to the point where I was knowing the guys on the team. I had the numbers just like that. When I come up here, you know, I don't got to always build the coaches. I can go chill with some of the guys on the team. So, it's just me, you know, knowing what I want to play in my college ball, you know, knowing where I felt like it was home and then, you know, it was also my parents too. You know, my mom being, you know, feeling safe that, you know, I'm up here, you know,

I'm handling the business and not having to worry about me when she goes to sleep. The National Championship under your belt, that's kind of a feel nice. What are your expectations for your second? You just develop, you know, develop, you know, physically and mentally to the game. And that's something that, you know, the game slows down for you a lot. You know, it slowed down for me. You know, now just share it's right, you know, being a young guy. Delivered more experience, you know, learning the plays, executing that at a high level. Coach Bullen seems like a really good guy. We got a chance to do that. What stands out about him is no line coach. Absolutely, love, absolutely love coach Bullen. You know, not even just his personality, but, you know, the way he teaches the game before the tournament. I think it really, you know, translates to the information he's saying in these meetings. It really sticks in, you know, our players minds, especially in meeting, you know. It's just the way he teaches ball. It's just some good depth in that room, really good depth. How much do you describe it? Yeah, I mean, we got the guys. We got the guys in the world, you know, and it's tough to have for the right guy. And all the way across. And we got the guys, and they got the 12-bodies, you know, to execute it.

I love it. What was practice like today? You heard a couple of musicals. Yeah. You know, guys are just going after it. You know, the practices are physical inside a high level. And at the other day, it's, you know, best first best. So they can get a little to be some types. But that's what you guys were hit? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. We're getting after it. You're talking about Coach Bowen. What have been your thoughts on Coach Dickey and Coach Johnson? And that helped in the room. I loved it. So, the fact that we got these coaches, you know, we got a lot more hands-on coach. You get one on one reps, you know, just getting the information that you need to execute. So, it's really on us to go ask them questions after practice. You know, if we work after practice on this drill, it's really up to you. We're going to put the tools in to a box because we have all the resources we need. And what were your thoughts on the additions of Ethan and Philip? And how do you think they could accimate it? Really good guys. I mean, I love them. You know, they're good guys to have them from. And, you know, we push each other in that room too.

So, it's great. What decisions are you representing specifically right now? Right now, I move from left to right. So, really just tackle. You know, tackle? Yeah, sir. Josh Reyer was somebody that was a leader in that room for a couple of years. What is it like now working without him in the room and what kind of presence did he leave behind? Yeah, so those older guys kind of laid down a foundation for us. You know, they taught us things and outs and they left us with an appellata knowledge, you know, for when after they left. And they taught us a lot of good lessons. So, you know, I still talk to Josh. You know, pops up in here every now and then and it's a good guy to have, you know, my freshman year. So, thanks a lot. Thank you. Probably or not catch your votes on you. That's what it's like, kind of, is it keep that at the back of your head and be going against Jeremiah and Carnell and Brandon and Emma? Yes, that's my mindset. Like, in practice the day, I want those boys to get me and everything that they have. So, like, up, up, up, up and inside of this, it's going to be easy for me and our people to prove. What have you seen with Grocer, the younger corners?

Obviously, we saw it because it's not a Jeremiah last year. They're your mates, sorry. But Calvin and some of the Aaron's, some of the young guys, how do you see them? Um, and Scott has gotten completely better from his brain. Glad completely better. Is that just time in the program? I'm just getting used to the speed of college football, I would say. What about Calvin? He was obviously here last year. He was. Um, Calvin has gotten a lot better. Like, I would say that he's gotten a lot smarter. And he also write GB. I think he's there about Calvin's intelligence, you know, where he's grown. Where specifically is it? The film room? Is it kind of picking up, you know, the playbook? Where have you seen that? The brain up a grab? I would say Calvin has gotten smarter just like his game knowledge, like expecting, like, a different kind of routes and stuff like that. Perfect. When did everything start to click for him last year? Was it in the soft season? When did you feel just comfortable? I would say it, in the spring, I started to get a lot more comfortable in our defense.

Does he, we say you break up the caskish very little, is that your mind aimed on the track where you asked? It was clear, but what is like going up against him to you? It seems like you enjoy it. Yeah, I love it. He's tough. I like going against him a lot. He's really good. What have you improved in your game just from that, for example, those, those one-on-one match-ups? Right. This preseason or whatever. You know how I value this game. So Jim, he forces me to pay the bank of the, if you don't pay the bodyguards then he'll go get it. Yeah, yeah. And you, and you Dave's in there. How would you describe this defense now compared to this time a year ago from the standpoint of a confidence factor? You don't mean that you guys feel on the field? How would you describe it? It's different about it, I guess. I'm saying everybody's a lot more smart than they are. Everybody's like, I would just say that we're going to just just just smarter. Yeah, but when you look up and late and ransom decided to come back and Caleb down, transferred in.

What did you feel about that? Did it just grow stronger in that one week span, two weeks span? You're still on up saying? I feel like those guys have played at that level. Those guys have played at that level. Yeah, I would say that like, a down's coming and, what they say he was coming back, Zell says he was coming back, it's just so like, I don't know. I think I've been going to Nettie. Yeah, Drake's still? Thanks, mate. Of course. Just like, the success that he had, you know, 10-15 years ago, just that's the kind of people still talk about that, did you learn about that when you got here? Do you remember that era of Oregon football? Yeah, I remember the teams that he had here. You know, I think everybody respects him as a football coach and certainly the things that he was able to accomplish while I was here. Back, right? Correct. Coach Ohio State has obviously two star wide receivers in Smith and in a book, what do you see from them on film and what sort of challenges will those two kind of present to the Oregon Secondary this weekend? Yeah, stop, go. You know, they can catch the ball and they can turn into a big play right away. You know, it's not necessarily always averaged up a target. It's way down the field.

It's their ability to catch it in space and get vertical. They block really, really well in the perimeter. And those guys have big catch radiuses. So you see them win on balls that you would call 50-50 balls a lot of times they went on contested ball so do a really good job there. Correct, well, Matt. I think in your career you've coached in nine different top five matchups. Is there any common trade or, you know, I think you have to do in a game in those games to win that's more heightened in this type of atmosphere? I'd say winning football is winning football, but I think you always look when you're playing an opponent, you know, what's some commonalities in games that they haven't had success in and that you've had success in, right? Where are those places where you can find strengths? What are the pieces of the game that are going to matter the most? You know, obviously explosive plays and takeaways is always something that we focus on here. But, you know, rushing game, I think that matters. You know, ability to win on critical downs in critical situations. Red area, I think, are all really important. Back what there. You and your players have just talked after every single opponent just still about it being Oregon versus Oregon.

How was that mindset? Do you feel like kind of prepared this team for this big moment this week? Yeah, I think just the constant growth, you know, the focus on what can we get better and if we attack the things that we need to improve on. And that's been our focus all year and, you know, throughout the season, I think you've seen us play better and better ball in certain situations and attack things that we weren't as good at the week before. All right. Does it have a knowledge of Ohio State's running back coach? Give you any sort of advantage this week? I think that probably plays both ways. You know, like last week we played against coaches that have been here before and when we played UCLA, we played against coaches that have been here before. It makes you change your terminology. Like you're going to change the names of calls, stuff before that might have been a run for us is maybe now a pass, something that was going right is now maybe going left. But that's pretty easy for our players to do. Once you, you know, communicate that and change it. Certainly he knows some of the things that we like to do. On the same note, we certainly like to know some of the things that he likes to do. So, you know, coach locked it a great job for our program. He's doing a great job for theirs now. Second round left. There. After Friday's game, Dylan talked about emphasizing protecting the ball in the red zone.

That being a key. What are some of the ways you do that in a week to try to get those situations going to figure down? Yeah, you play red area football, right? You could put it down there, put the ball inside the 20 and you go, you know, communicate, what do we want that to look like? And if you expect to see it in the game, you got to see it in practice first. And, you know, he knows he wants those plays back. You know, that's, that doesn't take anybody's, you know, special to recognize that. And he wants that back. But it's about how can we coach that better and make sure that those situations are avoided? All right. All right. James. How much more confident are you touched the defensive staff as a whole in the CB2 position this year compared to last year when obviously those watching the games where they were able to exploit some things there differently than perhaps this year or at least you hope for this year. How much more confident you get that that spot and the depth that you have there? I'm confident in our players. I like our team. I like the guys that we get the opportunity to go out there and play with. I think our guys play competitive ball. And this will certainly be the best challenge for every single position on our, on our team this week. Back very quick.

I believe it's been back, back weeks now, if no sacks allowed. What do you think's been the biggest difference in the online in the last few weeks that's made you feel confident in their play heading to this? I think a lot of pieces add up to that. You know, timing scheme is part of that. You know, how we've adjusted some of the things that we do. I think it's a big part of that. And then the communication between the offense, the line and the quarterbacks also been really important there. Back left, Matt. A lot of attention has been on Jeremiah Smith, but Mecca has been pretty darn good too. It's just been your impressions of him and challenging facing another receiver of that caliber when they have two of them. Yeah, they got more than just two great wide outs. They got several great wide outs in their program. Certainly those two are very, very special, but you know, whether it's Tate, I mean, there's a bunch of them on their team that can go play winning football. So that's what makes this a challenge. You can't just say, OK, I'm going to focus on this one guy because there's other guys on the field that can beat you. Now you guys talk about blocking out outside noise. Last week, there's a lot of ups. That's a lot of chaos and college football. Do you use that to your advantage to kind of hone in and to show your players why it's so important to have a single game focus?

I think our players are really aware of that. Our messaging doesn't change necessarily week to week. You know, that's been something that's been consistent for us through fall camp. That it's about the guys in our room and what we're able to focus on not what everybody else is talking about. Back left, Aaron. The last time that Chip Kelly came to Eugene, it was college game day. UCLA came in as an unbeaten opponent, ranked high. I know for you, I think your profile picture, I think on social media, is still that one of you going to the college game day set. Just what do you remember about being there, being at college game day? And just you're feeling of being on that set for the very first time? Yeah, I think more than anything that day, I remember our fans and how much of an impact I felt like they had on that game. How fun that environment was for our players to get to be a part of. Obviously you come to a place like we're going to play in big time games and this is one of those opportunities. But to get to be a part of big time atmosphere as well. And certainly this is one of those. That's the room. Jordan's been so consistent in the run game but it seems like it's been hard at times to find maybe a second runner. What's the key of getting Noah and Dylan more involved maybe this week?

Yeah, just that consistency. You know, continuing to find opportunities to be able to block up runs properly for those guys and give them opportunities to win. You know, on the second level. I love James. What do you see from Mulhoward that's made him effective in raising his completion percentage compared to a year ago. And what insight if any can covey savage provide given that he practiced against him for a couple of years? You know, similar to these other teams that we've played that have had guys that have crossed over. You know, I think again they do a great job schematically finding, you know, completions. If you've loading up hats in the run game, there's going to be some guys that are open outside. They've done a good job of throwing into open windows and attacking that. That great. Right. Coach, this program seen a lot of big games in its history in Austin stadium. You've coached a few of them yourselves. Do you feel like this matchup against Ohio State top five top three matchup? Maybe the biggest of this program has ever seen in its history. I certainly can't speak to the entire history of Oregon. I think this is a really big game. I think this is a great opportunity for two great teams to get to play against each other. Again, I think that's why you come to a place like this.

But I think this will be an awesome atmosphere for our fans and certainly our players. All right, Zach. Going back to Michigan, see you never get an explanation for why that hit. I'm Dylan was not a late hit or a weapon that passed. We sent it in. I haven't got a response yet on on why it wasn't one. I was told that the guy watching said that it wasn't. So we send it in. We'll see what it looks like. On the left here, second row. What's Jury undone to kind of get a bit of a roll? Because I got in there for the first time this last game. Kind of what's been going on behind the scenes that we may have missed? Yeah, just being you know, part of it starts with him being healthy. You know, has been being dinged up at times, but he's practicing really hard. He's working his tail off the beyond the field force, whether that's in special teams in a roll at wide out. And it's created some opportunities for him. From the left, James. What makes their running back through a unique and what's kind of the biggest asset that each one of those guys has in terms of how they go about? Running because stylistically, I think they're a little bit different than each other. Yeah, maybe a little different, but I'm the same token there. Guys that have good size and speed and they don't go down on first contact.

You know, they're really good at using their weapons as far as at the second level. They do a good job with stiff arms. But they rarely really go down on first contact and they have really good vision and they're patient until that opportunity window opens up. But when they see a hole, they hit it and they hit it with great speed. Last question, James. Will's done really well at putting safety and conflict to create some of those big plays that you guys have hit offensively touched on it. The OSU is just really basically giving up nothing of 30 plus yards. How have they been able to avoid that when that's been a strength of yours in particular? How have they been able to avoid it so far in these five games? Yeah, I think that that's a piece. They have a they do a good job defensively. If not, you know, creating conflict of avoiding conflict and they're guys do a good job of farming the own land. Not worrying about what somebody else is doing but doing their job and being sound in their job. There's times where those safeties are high and they're responsible for the deep part of the field and they let the you know the corners fit the run. There's times when they're guys that are responsible for the run fit and then those corners do a great job of covering down field. So they do a good job of changing that up and guys doing their job. Thank you coach. Appreciate it.

Last time when you think back to that first meeting and then having two weeks to look at, you know, dissect what happened, try and correct it. How different does the way you guys rush the passer feel now compared to whether that's scheme, whether that's mentality, whatever, you know, working with four. How many changes were made? Did it feel significant to you all in the in the moment as you're trying to get it fixed? Yeah, I think knows did a good job just helping us allow this other one. It's time to go. It's time to go. I mean, he allows the defense advantage of being able to go out through the quarterback when he have a chance in certain plays. We get to do that and then allowing certain guys and certain blitzes to really mess up the whether quarterback is thinking so allows us to have more pressure and be able to allow us to do more moves at the time because it makes it offensive. Confused what we're doing so about allowing putting blitzes in there really mixes up the patch for us allows us to get sad. Ten to many. Yeah, with that said, like for example, us 39 against against. Yeah, Molly Ava. I said it right. I think. But he was quite elusive and stuff. Was that a good, I don't know, prep for this week. I mean, because Dylan gave us a little bit different scrambler, but he still gets the job done.

Oh, yeah, that was definitely good to have because like I said, I mean, all the quarterbacks are very mobile and being people that have more experience versus mobile quarterbacks helps us obviously. You know, just help us home and learn from our where we have had them going through the hole and how to scrambles where we can learn from those scrambles and we go from that game in the past game. We played against Oregon just learning learning the quarterbacks tendencies and when they like to run away, they like to run. And everybody helps us out really closing the court going to cage and facing pocketball. Is there a fine line between being aggressive, but also being wary this guy can slip or slip away your sound when I'm saying timing. Yeah, you can't just go right at me and go ahead. I'm sorry. Yeah, he's definitely a quarterback and then guess I guess I'd pocket so I mean being he's definitely a threat. He's a main guy in the offense he runs the show. So I mean, be on the stop him and contain him really slows the offense down. So be on the cage and pocket and be able to slow him down and make him make more decisions on the run and moving around. It helps us. Go ahead and just have one more. I'm sorry. Well, no, I didn't want to ask about their center. Their center. I impressed with you with him last time you guys played.

He seems to have a pretty good game, you know, and he's kind of a kind of a tough guy to move out of there and stuff that he looks like. I mean, what's your impression of him? He's definitely one of the better centers in the conference. I mean, he's a really good guy. I mean, be there and be there and be there. Be the size and be able to move the way he can. It's really hard to get around him at times, but he's definitely having a game plan and working against and working to tend to see that he hasn't been a work against that. It really helps us. It helps me. Yeah. The role of middle Stephen Leonard college football. Yeah, kind of piggybacking on that. How much of it was there offensive line being a strike that are team versus Dylan Gabriel being able to escape and the lack of pressures that we had on our defense? Yeah. I mean, when you got a good offensive line, I mean, it makes it even better for a quarterback, you know, being able to roll out, you know, that your line was going to help you protect you when you're in the pocket. So I mean, it makes it easier for throws and it makes it harder for us, honestly, for it to have a good offensive line. So I mean, like I said before, just being able to attack the offensive line, attack the weaknesses and be able to go after it and make it harder for the quarterback needs harder for them or world?

Or for a right Andrew Gillick, believe in the outcome. What's the challenge similar to Tim's question and you know, we play a team like this that runs the level of RPOs that they do that wants to do. How do you stay true and be aggressive and force the issue where, you know, Dylan Gabriel is really going to make it up for you. Oh, yeah. Like I said, just putting pressure on him. I mean, do you be able to get it back there? I mean, we got a lot of different plays that can help us get back to our passer and playing and playing to their tendencies. You know, a lot of times they have the RPO, the RPO helps them out. It means you get the ball out fast. I mean, I mean, things like Jackson and JTV, you know, get their hands up. Knock the ball down. Crazy stream. I'm out of pressure for the quarterback when you got hands in your face all times. And final questions. Bill Rubino, it's Columbus Dispatch. We've asked about Dylan Gabriel and the receivers. They're not one dimensional. They were a good running back in Jordan, James. What makes him special and what's the challenge for you guys? I think he's definitely one of the better running backs in the conference of well. I mean, just how hard he runs is it's hard to bring him down at times. So I mean, as a front pro, we probably stopping around. That's the first thing we're going to do as we go on the game.

I mean, past rushing is good and all, but we can't stop the run. I mean, they're going to run the ball there and throw all the time. So all the time we have to figure out how we're going to stop them. I'm going to run the ball and then we're going to take them down. So I mean, it's our job as a front pro to go on there and stop the run. We're going to make them one dimensional as we go out there. I mean, if we get out there every time every mindset, we go out there and we're going to get them. We're not going to allow them to get in the yards, allow them to get going. We're going to stop and we're going to make them throw the ball. What JT was up here asked him about how to compare to trust him and Jack as personalities. What's your take on that? How different are they as just personalities? I definitely think Jack is more outgoing. I mean, the guy in these like the light that shines around me and everybody goes around him and everybody loves him. I was going to come to you shake your hand any time of day and then JT is more of the blue guy. I mean, a lot of guys gravitate to him. He just has a bright smile on him all the time. He's just a great guy that people like to be around. I mean, they're two good people, so it's hard to tell. And Ty, I do that one more question for you. Tony Irvin, like I don't know.

You guys obviously have faced tough while you did it. Last week, what's the key for you as a defensive one in facing tempo? Yeah, I mean, we've been going through all week in the past two weeks to just get set. I mean, that's the first thing you do. If you're not set, it makes it harder to do your job. So let's be able to get on the ball and get set before they're lined up and set the ball is one and more important thing. So when we're set, we're able to do our jobs at the efficiency before they can do theirs. How did you call it that? It could be difficult at times. You know, you gotta look to the signline first. You gotta get the call. I mean, the call has to be set down first. It can't be difficult at times, but that's definitely what we've been working on the past few weeks to just get the call, get the call early. Get set so we can go and be play faster. You've changed the play to one side of the field. And now, it's lined up. They're gonna be heading to the other side. So like, you've got to just run the signline to signline just to get the money. Oh, yeah. I mean, I haven't a lot of last game. You know, it's hard. It's definitely tough. I mean, that's what we work on and practice. Just moving as fast as we can, we're simulating these things so we can get into the game. It's a lot easier. So we moving around side to side, running around, doing extra conditioning just for moments like this.

Hi, thank you very much. Thank you. Thanks, John. I heard, yeah. I mean, you know, I just try to keep going and not take it to my little biggest. I don't know how those governments say they go good, but I just don't know where I keep doing my job. Yeah. I can't know how to say for having a lot of this place. I wanted that to be a point of my career that I stayed for some while. I hope that for you and that I can rely on you all the time. You know, I feel like you're like, you know, you've never heard that one, but I mean, I think I'm definitely the new agent of God for all of you know.

It's more money instead of, you know, to royalty, I guess, but I love everything about Ohio State. I love my age, you know, that's one thing about our team. We all ride for it no matter what people make in a game. I want to be stable with that. And I feel so many good, like long lasting friends. I've been a part of this team who is so out of nowhere, I'll change my mind. Where do you end up? Yeah, I mean, I always treated you as if I was. I prepare like I was. I'm also interested in God for me. I knew that my time would come and I'd be ready to take my take with you out for the coming. I'm going to chop you up. I'm going to do that and still try to put better view to be able to. We're in some confidence, we're working to see if I'm free. You know, again, since the first quarter of the United States, amazing. We're, we're in some, like, record, level, record, and a couple of different things.

I mean, we're a good team. I think our country is going to be a good preparation. You know, we practice hard and we want to make sure we get everything we've got. We're a little, last look and a little detail we can. And I think Coach knows a really good job of that. And I think we need to continue to do that. I think everything that happened last week doesn't matter if you don't do it. I do this here, so our goal is to do it in better way than last week and into a two-week total game we want to get like the best. You've got to seem to really go down the line. I want to know what you can do. Everyone wants to try to be a nice guy and make a good one. What's your best like out there? And it's a hot risk. Yeah, I mean, I think that's the biggest thing I football is not to be a fun sport. We have to go out there and make plays and have fun. You really need brothers with each other. So, you know, the only time you really make plays when you have a fun. You know, having fun, you know, making plays. You really have those hands in hand. We just have to try to have fun on the front. Dump. He's a special, a special player. You don't really get that so many players like him that's so quick, so fast,

at least beat and I ain't got a round route too. I'm excited to see what he does in the future, but I feel like that's the least they can do for him this year. How do you think he would get in the half of the quarter of another? It's just speed, man. Speed, you can't teach speed at all. Just having us on opposite sides, even playing both sides. It's just speed down the field. You can run 15, 20 yards in breakers out breakers. And like I said, you can have to play two safes most of the time. Or you can run the ball, you can get underneath the house. It's going to be a great compliment to the offense, so I'm excited. Chris, you said you hope this new offense will put in playing records. What about you specifically, what's an area where you think you'll have more opportunity than this year game? It's a lot of areas that you can see to look at, to improve my game. But yards have the chances of one I'm looking forward to. Just more opportunities with that, more space. Just to showcase my speed and my ability with the ball.

So I'm excited to do that this year. Something that I really showcase the first two years. So I'm excited to be with the quick game element of it. Just getting the ball in your hands. Yeah, quick game, play action. More over the middle routes. It's a lot of different things that you can say that this guy's going to help that. But like I said, I'm excited. How would you describe the chemistry between you and Eric? We're getting way better, man. I mean, it was our first year last year. So it was kind of up and down. But that's what it comes with the game of football. So we worked a lot this off season, OTAs, which was really good. And we got off to a good start these first two days at camp getting extra working. But that's going to come with time. So I'm not worried about that at all. We both competitors, we both want to be the best. So we got to do something to be good. Where do you kind of notice that difference is just like feel on the route. What do you kind of notice now that it's here to get more nap? What do you mean? It's like, Eric, are you when you're dancing?

Where do you kind of know? It's just like, it's more than that, man. It's NFL. Everybody's, you know, everybody's good. So we just got to know what each other is thinking, pre-snap post-snap, cover cheese, where the walls won't go. Just rees. What read I am in the progression. Everything goes along with that. So just being on the same page, being like I said, chemistry is built with time. It's just little stuff like that that turns into big things is going to be huge. You caught one from Spencer Routland at A2, whatever you heard early impressions from him. It's real talented. That's the first thing I've seen from him. His arm talent is out the charts. He's a real natural feel out there. He's going to be real good. I want to see him in action, but from my first impression, he's going to be a real good player. It's going back to the machine that you talked about all the different stuff you should do. You think there's still a lot more there for him? He hasn't really, I think this is the first year of being receiver two or really receiver.

In my opinion, we both are receiver one. I just be able to move around, run real routes. Feel like it's going to be a huge advantage for the saying. It's a special player and I can't wait to see him ball. I can't wait to see him get more opportunities. You can see what he can do. By run real routes, he's going to get opportunities to run. Yeah, just getting more, you know, he hadn't really played too many plays in his first two years. He kind of just get thrown in there when he's getting the ball or when he's a decoy or something like that. But he's actually being involved in the offense, always being in. Even on run plays, I feel like he's going to be a huge advantage for him to get a feel for the game and be more natural out there. What is a receiver like that? The shed kind of, you know, think of him as the deep threat label and then so people just think of him as a deep threat. But we can do more. How hard is it to kind of shed that label or that perception like? I mean, that's what life everybody is trying to label somebody as one thing or two things.

But I feel like you can showcase, I mean, that's not really who you are, you know what I'm saying. As it gets more opportunities as you can see, you can see you can do more and more. That's what anybody on the team. So I'm excited, like I said, and for his huge opportunity is going to get this year. And it's going to be a big one for the Saints. Does this scheme ask for more blocking from the receivers as ever? Or is my specialty? Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, that's what I told you too. We both have the block. And I know we're not the biggest guys or the strongest, but like I said, we just want to be on the field. We got to be on the field for the play action plays, all those things. So we both got to call block B-Line, block linebackers, but that's what's coming football. So we both got to take that next step in our game. Is that somewhere there's like a payoff? Like you guys know you play from play action next time? Yeah, so it's going to be a huge payoff. Like I said, most of our office is based on play action. All the in-breakers, all the yards at the catch of a play. So we got to go in there and block.

And like I said, take that next step and be able to be grateful for our team. Like you in here? Oh yeah, so. After I feel the weather out here, man, that's what I'm used to. Not using the war and then out there trying to catch my breath. It's a great opportunity for us. Are you going to chance to see family and friends at all? So this is their book from there? Not yet, but they're going to come by every song. Appreciate you all. Thank you very much. Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you very much for having me. Thank you very much. Thank you.

Thank you for all those music jokes today. Thank you very much. I'm a coach. Thank you very much. I'm a coach. I'm a coach. First thing, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Let's get your receipt. I'm here to talk with my sales. I tell you, about that financial role. I'm here to talk to you. I got a call. I'm here to talk to my sales. I got a call. I'm here to talk to my sales. First time I met up with you. You just found it really good. Yeah. What do you think he came wearing to this product? You know, we've got to do it. I don't know, but yeah. So, like, we've got lots of things going on. So, what are some options? What's been like for you? Just for you and your California being out of control? That's been a small lot of things. I really like how they are. I really like how they are. I'm helping you adjust what I'm doing. I'm just going to do some different things. Different being out of state, recruit here. There's the one you were just a couple of. That is definitely different. So, it's a live-year. New generation of recruits where I don't think anybody outside looking at me in real

questions, the strength of your commitment, like you locked in your last eight, you sent it over and over. But you're making visits around the country. You've seen other schools. It's almost a totally different mindset. What's that code to be able to ask? How do you approach those other visits? And how do you communicate with Ohio State about that? What's been the message of the topic? I'm always locked in. I'm still enjoying buses. I've been through this for only a couple of times. I've been through this for seven years. I enjoy it. The other school that I'm telling me is going to be really hard trying to give you the flip. So, Ohio State. What has it been to made you want to take close with this? I'm not going to take close with the 20th. So, there was a little bit more time in between. But, you know, since we started back up with our prep from Tennessee, that last game is behind us now. And we're going to move forward. You guys were so productive in those two-minute drills and pushing the football down

the field throughout the course of the year. And we're again against Michigan. That was the bright spot. Why is it that you can't just do that all the time? That's a great question. It's just football. I mean, it doesn't always happen the way you think it's going to happen. It doesn't happen the way that it gets laid out. You have to be able to adjust because they adjust. You know, if they do the same things that they did at the end of the first half, at the end of the second half, you know. And then you're anticipating that also. You're trying to figure out what they're going to do and what you're going to do. And that's the beauty of the game. You still have to play it out during the game. So, you know, you wish it always worked out that way. You know, we've had some really, really good successful two-minute drives during the season. But in a situation where we really needed it, we didn't. You know, and that's so, you know, we had to go back. What do we call? What was our protection situation? What routes combinations did we run? Where were we? How did they deploy? You know, what was their bloods operation like? What was their past rush like? What kind of coverage is really playing? And then, you know, if we get to that situation again against another team in that same situation,

you can, you know, go back to that experience and that we've been through this before. This is kind of how they played us. And I think we're starting to see that again. So, we're going to make the proper adjustments. Far left big problem. You have to. Yeah, Chip. How would you compare the pressure that the head coach in Ohio State faces to anything you've seen in football, and especially after a loss to Michigan? And how's Ryan handling that? Like you said, with the playoff and a chance to win the national championship ahead? Yeah, you know, he's been obviously at heart. He understands the weight of what this position is being the head coach in Ohio State. And he's going to be able to do something different than probably some other places as you noted. But I think Ryan's done a great job with it. You know, I think he has to always look to your leader, you know, and how does the leader handle it? And I think our players kind of thrive off of him and kind of what his mindset is. And, you know, what the magnitude of that game is, but then our ability to move on because there are other games. And like we said, we've been opportunity to play for more if we do what we're supposed to do. So I think he's done a really good job of it.

It is a difficult situation, but I think he's the man and he's done a great job of it. Right, Ryan? Steve, how do you like it? 24-7-4. The coach after Michigan King a lot was made that you guys met at something like 20 yards on 18 running plays between the guard gaps, whatever it was. Can a play collar get into a rut sometimes or was there something that you saw on film that you thought that was going to be a vulnerable part of their offense to attack? And I guess spend that forward for 10 to see it seems like they're very similar. Yeah, a play collar can get into a rut. That's a very valid point. I think sometimes you kind of go in with the mindset you have to establish a run to win a football game. Maybe that's not the case sometimes you get to kind of go away from some of the norms and say, hey, maybe if we throw it a little bit more in hindsight, after you go through it. And say, maybe we got to done this a little bit differently because you're always going to go back through it. There's not a time when we play the game and you go back through and say, man, we played the perfect game. You've never played the perfect game. Never called the perfect game. So you're always looking at how do we improve and how do we make this better?

You're right. I think Tennessee is, I mean, they're fifth nationally defensively and both scoring and total defense. Number one, third down defense in the country. Number one, red zone defense in the country. So we're playing a really formidable defensive group coming in here that's really well coached. And they've got good players at all three levels. So that's going to be a challenge for us again this week. And in our players are excited about that opportunity. And then we're going to have a little bit on Howard. Did you have the same confidence in him because there were a couple of third downs, third and long after that. We're in the ball coming out and also going in in the red zone. And you didn't seem like the same player after that big hit. Yeah, we always have confidence in Will. I think he's the leader of our team on the offensive side of the ball. And I think sometimes those third and extra long situations, whether it be coming out, you're trying to protect the ball. You don't want to turn it over in that situation. Give you a punter, a little bit more opportunity to play the field position game and get the ball past midfield. And knowing that we have a really good defense and we're confident when we put them back on the field.

And then sometimes like the one in the. It was a draw play on a third and long, which is, which is sometimes is a normal call against a pass-rash team. And then we were just short on it. And we're behind him. 40 for two. Chip, you mentioned coming out and going in. Is that the traditional red zones? Is that zero to 20 or is that a different yard for him? Yeah, zero to 20. You know, when we were coming out more than we've been in most games. And then we also had a few opportunities inside the red zone. And we got to capitalize there. We talked to our. We know all the time that you know, no STPs, no sacks, no turnovers, no penalties down there. We got to come away with points. And we didn't come away with enough points, obviously. How much of game plan is dictated by that sort of build position? It's all based upon really the data of how many reps a game over the course of a long time. So, you know, over the course of a 12 game season, how many red zone plays are you going to have your average in about 68 plays a game, you know, in college football right now.

So out of those 68 plays, they all fall into different situations. You know, there's 1.5 third and longs in a game. But then sometimes you're going to get in a game where you have five third and longs. But you're also going to get into a game where you don't have any third and longs. You know, so over the course of the season, it averages out to this amount of snaps per game based on 68. Because that's what the average is in the NCAA. We know what the average is in the NCAA. We know what the average is in the NFL when you kind of go through it. But then there are going to be games where you have the ball a lot more in the red zone than normally. Then there's other times where you're going to have the ball a lot more coming out than normally because your defense has done a great job and kind of, you know, held up down there and got some really big stops in a red area. Well, then we got to go back on the field offensively and now we're going to go the long distance. So it's over the course of the season to allow your in itself out in terms of reps. But in that game, just specifically, we were we were a lot more coming out to a lot more red zones. And we were in regular first and second down and that's not normal in a normal game. Joey Coffin from the CFS. Chip looking at the way role play. He's been efficient throughout this year. High complage of percentage low turnovers and full Michigan.

What was what do you think went from some of those moments in Michigan and sort of had a good look back on? Well, I was at back at it for my perspective. So I think I got to do a better job of putting a little position to make place. And that's how I always look at it. So and I didn't do that on against him. How would you have done that or what would but what about those situations where you're challenging for? Excuse me. So I want to get what about you to put in position make plays better. What is that about the same thing? You know, I think the one time when we we threw the the one pick on the 16 year line, we were in seven man protection. So we had two guys in and protection only three guys out in the route. So maybe we could have gone to a five man release get more guys out into the coverage so that we could spread the defense. Have a little bit more. So there's one example. Thank you, Jerry. I think a lot of us expected to see I did expect to see a little bit more two man running back, you know, your two T tray and quenching in the game. A lot more than I've seen him this year. I mean, I'm not sick and guessing that stuff.

But if you all looked at that aspect of running game two of showing a little more variety, I know there's more stew in the pot. You know, I would think even at this point, but I know this has like a basic question. But I'm just wondering what your thinking is there? No, it's not a basic question, but they both basically play the same position. So neither one of those guys is a fullback. So we're not, you know, you're not going to line up tray at fullback and q at tailback or vice versa. You know, so that's not, you know, sometimes when people talk about two back offenses, you know, one guy is a fullback and one guy is a tailback where both of those guys are basically tailback. So they both kind of play the same position and then we're really a one back offense three white receivers one tight end is our base personnel 11 personnel in the game. So we change it up a little bit. We get into some 12. We get into some 13. We'll get into a little bit of 20. They've been in a few times together, but not as much. But the other thing is that when both of those guys are in the game at the same time when they need a blow, then who are you sending into the game also? So you know, depth sometimes is a factor when you're making those determinations of, you know, what personnel are we going to deploy in against the teams that we're playing, you know, what, what is the evidence that when you put 21 in the game against this team, you're going to listen to this type of defense, you know, how are they going to play it and what are they going to do.

So I'm making personal decisions at the beginning of a week in terms of putting stuff into a game plan really is based upon what is this defense done versus 21 personnel or 20 personnel leading up into this game. And what can we anticipate that they will play if we put these two guys in at the same time. But you're going to get to town like you said, very talented defense. It looks like definitely on video. How important is it? And this is another basic question to show stuff you haven't shown before in a basic sense. I don't think it's, I do understand what you're saying, but I don't think you go into it. So we need to show things we haven't shown before. We need to show things that are productive. You know, so I could line up some really wacky formations and et cetera. And I put if they don't gain a yard, it doesn't matter what it looks like. You know, what's the most important thing is, is the productivity and are we gaining positive yards? Are we are we efficient on first down so that we can get into workable third down situations and then continue to get drives going. But this group, if we can get usually when we get that first first down, then we can start moving the football and start playing at our pace in our tempo and kind of what we want to do to dictate the course of the game.

But you know, changing personnel is part of that. And that's there's opportunities to do some of that stuff. Do you have one question to go, and if anything, you can go to the top. Subject of just running inside and not super efficiently against Michigan. How much of that was, they have really good defensive tackles. Maybe it's a bad matchup order. Do you need to rethink at all how you guys run the ball, whether you're on version four or five of your offensive lines? Yeah, I think you always have to play to the strengths of what your players can do. But it also is is part of who you're playing also. You know, they they too, they did have to really talented inside players also to really talented defensive ends that I don't think yet enough credit. And if you look at the statistics of both of those guys on the field, the ability to set edges is part of the decision there. So you're always trying to put your players in position and make plays and that's what we're going to continue to do. If you have to, I don't want to speak for you, if you have to do someone significantly change the way that you run the ball, certainly what you hang your hat on base here on your offensive line.

How difficult is that to do it on the fly in the middle of the season, or even now when you have what to and a half weeks prepared, is it still difficult to change that kind of thing on the fly when you have 12 games of the body of work? That's just how it works. You know, when you lose players, you got to see who you're adding when you lose a South and you lose a Jimmy, you know, and then what are their strengths? And then how do we play to those strengths and and be able to take advantage of them, but you can't ask them to do things that maybe Jimmy and South did because they're not Jimmy and South, but that doesn't mean you're not going to come up with a game plan. You know, you're always going to figure it out. We're going to get a chance to, you know, to the longer they get to play together, the more continuity that they have, you know, where Donnie feels really comfortable, you know, out of tackle. And he's done a great job that transition that he's made going from guard to tackle is even though it's one spot over. It's an entirely new position. So, you know, what Carson has done stepping in and doing really good job at signer, you know, stepped in on the Penn State Game, quit guard, then had to jump in and go play center. But, you know, I think everybody that's involved in this playoff right now understands it, you know, for for us to win it all, we're going to play four more games, you know, and so to think that no one else is going to get injured in those next four games is, you know, you're very ahead in the sand.

So we got to be prepared for it and we got to be ready to go. And I think the team that can handle the attrition part of this, the best may end up being the team that wins the whole thing. You know, we've been aware of that since the start and we know it's either going to be a 16 or 17 game schedule, you know, to win the whole thing. So you got to go with what you got and we'll continue to look for things that we can do to help us players out. And it's on us to put those guys in position like this because these guys have practiced their tails off and are excited about this up to go play in Tennessee. Go, thank you very much. Thank you. He's extremely athletic, extremely flexible. You know, he's a young kid, obviously, he's a lot of development, a lot of, he's a little adversity at all of us do. And I think he's going through that right now, but he's been coming out on the better end of it so far and excited to see what he can do because he's very impressive at this young stage. So I think you're overall level of excitement just to be back with the rest of the sit-through of the blind group that you guys have been so much experienced. Yeah, extremely excited. I mean, trying to just build that culture back up again, you know, like what we had last year.

I'm trying to do a little stuff here and there and I can know I think we're going to Rayrays, barbecue, I think tomorrow. So shout out Rayrays, but yeah, I just trying to get that brotherhood back, get that, you know, that oblock spirit back. Sure, it's coming soon, soon. Hopefully. But just to kind of get those, not those same faces, but those same kind of mindsets back in our group is important right now. And it's been fun to meet new guys from different backgrounds and stuff like that and try to figure out how to build that and mend that together. It's been pretty cool. Now, as you are one of the most experienced veterans on this team, how much do you feel like you have to be a leader for this team this year? Yeah, for sure. I think that comes. It's obviously, I don't feel like it's natural to anyone to immediately step up and that's something I've been working on every day and talking to God about. But I obviously understand that and that's something I want to continue to work on. I want to be able to be a guy that people can fall back on and like coach was saying before, like we're going to have highs and lows, but the great players, the ones we can set our clocks to.

And I kind of want that's my goal is to be one of those people that you can do that. And I think for especially a very new set of eyes in the Woody, not only coaches, but players. I think it's very important to kind of keep that steady mindset. And I think for me, learning how to be a leader has been important just to not be too hard on myself, but also not let myself kind of slack off in some departments is trying to keep steady. This your story itself, though, is testament of what it means to like for perseverance and stuff too though, right? Carsel, I mean, you don't have to stand up from somebody to say that, right? What do you think you've shown more than anything else in every guard? Yeah, I mean, I've been blessed. I've been blessed with a lot of adversity. I think that's definitely made me better on the back end. Coach, Coach, they always talks about it. And you don't, you know, great leaders aren't, you know, they can show it. But you know, a lot of people can show a lot of people can just talk about it.

Yeah. But to be about it is important. And I think to me, now I've went through a lot of that adversity. I went through a lot of that stuff and my testament has been written in an interesting way. But I think for me to take that next step is really important for not only for this team, but for myself personally. Yeah, he's been doing great. I mean, he came in big, freaking strong. He's fun to be in the weight room with. He's kind of quiet. That gets kind of my first impression on, but he's actually pretty funny, dude. He and his dad come over and they kind of joke around. So he's been doing a great job. He's been doing a great job for his size. He has like freaky athletic feet, like I watched him do the ladders. And that's a lot of massive overrun on those things, you know, doing the little acheshuffle. But I mean, he was killing it. And so he's been doing a great job. I can't wait to see how he kind of continues to develop throughout this summer and throughout this fall camp. Of course, it has somebody else going on. Yeah, I heard about that. What it all has to be. Yeah, Piggy has been doing great. I mean, he stepped up. Piggy, yeah, yeah, everyone refers to his piggy. He's his username one time.

Nice. Everyone's piggy. But anyway, you know, Pig's been doing great. He's been able to step up and kind of bring around along those younger guys. You know, everyone's kind of trying to figure out their new roles. And I think he's been doing a great job, especially in the off season. And even right now, I'm just trying to bring along those guys and bring along himself and continuing to better himself because I mean, you know, it's never too late to get better. And I think he's kind of inspired me in that way a little bit too, just trying to like going against competitions with him. I don't know if you've seen his calves, but it's just an extension of his quad. Like it's just him and Gabe just have just just cylinders. So me compete against him and him competing against everyone else has been really good. Not only for him, but for me and for everyone he's been pushing so it's been good. All good. Thanks, man. I have to put in a relationship on it. If you get the young man to believe in that, you're pointing to them as young man and not just recruiting like you selling cars, you know, they're beginning to open up to you and believe what you're saying.

So I am not a leap with who, but what I am is a lead relationship. I want to ask you about the two freshmen that you haven't touched on in practice yet, but through to them, like, low jacks. And I say, you know, turbo, get here. Someone just what stands out about this. You look at both Jackson. You got size. I think it's right now six foot 220 speed. He got he got gifts on the guy. So you see the potential what he could be now. You don't have to work in compete, but I'm excited about him. But like I said, we'll see. Same thing with him. I said, West, you see it size. That's about right and five and never too fit to. Built the right way, but he has the right mindset. So you get excited about him because his mind said it's like, you know, he seems so much older than he is when you talk to him. His mind is in the right place.

And like I said, turbo Roger, somebody that I've been building a relationship with since he's been in probably seven grade. And they give him here that have an opportunity to coach him. I'm excited. But the three freshmen we got coming in, I'm telling you I'm excited about him just to see what their journey going to look like to console. I evaluate the year James had both and put on field and sound is also what he was doing behind the scenes. I think I think one thing me and James have discussed about this, it's a marathon. I think so much. I said, we live in the microwave society. I'm going to insist to sit right now. And I told him, Les, I said, you going to learn from these two guys. And when your time comes, you're going to appreciate you. You're going to appreciate the client. And he said behind both of them, he learned, he's leading the room now because he had a great guy to watch some leader on which is trade. And they saw Q and trade working. And he's working just as hard. But you know, when these guys come out of high school, and these recruiting service give them these five stars and four stars.

They think they supposed to come in, play from day one. And in the junior year, they out, we don't worry, they won't. Not in the room that I'm in. They don't worry, they won't. Because you're going to know how to be a complete player. One of the other times James went this year, all the run backs. Now he said the coach, Davis, running backs playing special teams. We're going to be on special teams. And I challenge every one of my guys with that in you. You're going to play special teams. And I ain't just talking about going on that press. You're going to be on the one or two that show. Because you told me you want to play in the middle. Well, you're going to not play special teams. I also teach you. Teachings are being no longer just not a selfish plan. But you want to go out there. I know you want to run the ball. What other ways can you help the team? So last year, I think he got a chance to see all of that. And it's helping him now. I am excited to see his growth. But I'm also excited to see him compete. Because from talent that we never know, we talk about them. It's pretty good.

We mentioned make some standout. James? Yeah. Come back, Mama. He has good hands. Has really incredible short air reverse. Tough. Like I said, quickness. Everything that you want in the back, he has. It's not a small guy. He thinks he's six foot. He thinks he's ten miles high. He's probably five, ten, right about 210 pounds. And he wants to have great knowledge of the game. So the things that stand out to me is like I said, short air reverse. Now, I would, you know, I would go to James, but I was at home. I first made a change with a 10th grade. So we already have a prior relationship. But just I see the growth in the now. He's like him. So I am excited to see him in a more. In a more demanding role where he gets the opportunity to showcase. What you did with trade with John,

I feel where essentially equal terms of touches like give or take obviously how the game was going. Or is there room in this office for there to be one lead guy? I don't think that's smart. I have one lead. And I, not, not of you, um, have your expectations of the play deep into the playoffs. I got told you before, you know, I said, my job here is a mixture of coach Davis and says, All right. And that's putting the best base on the field. You know, if you want to run one guy that run him into the ground and that works for you, that's good for you. That's not what I'm doing. Now, he still can accomplish his goals by having another guy play with him or another guy. You know, because it's a long season. So, you know, when I think about running the backs in that aspect, you guys like, I don't want to do the only one to get the ball. Your mind says not on team goals. Your mind says on your own individual goals. Like I told Trey and Q, you know how to be one with a great success. I think those are the two best bags that they never feel combined with in the show,

but they had great success. They went banged up. They weren't hurt. They never had to be enough. And they still accomplish everything they were going to accomplish. One that's an championship. So, um, they put the side of the personal goals and they put the team goals ahead. And when they did that, they put the ball on steel and got you where they want to be. I'm excited to see both of those guys named Carl here, Layla. You mentioned the competition in the room. What are you looking for out of the ready-backed this spring? First thing is, I want to see if I can get three or four guys to start on a specialty. That's the first competition I'm looking at. Then after that, I just want to see, just see all on compete with, you know, more overall. I want to see how James know how he takes on the leadership of the room. See how he competes with the other guys, whether it's Bob, whether it's CJ, whether it's Sam, or Turbo, or like so, I said, what's the world that it is? Or T.C. Cat? I want to see how he competes. And like I said, big thing is his leadership, or that's the big stand-lift in the room.

Is everybody going to come to be one, you know, not be selfish, point to one another? Okay. If I'm not playing on offense, what else can I do on the team? Can I go start on kickoff? Can I start on kickoff return? Point pressure. Those are the things I'm looking for, because, like I said, it's going to take that whole room to win. And it's going to take that whole room to win, not just playing offense, but playing special teams as well. So that's what I'm looking for. Someone who's going to be like a Josh Allen type, and, you know, he's running with a cool steam. And, you know, you got to get him on the ground. And, you know, he's going to be more of a straight line runner than a guy who's sifty. But, you know, we got to make sure we get multiple guys to the ball, and, you know, prevent those lanes where in the run through. And he's got a strong on too. So, you know, we got our hands full, and we're looking forward to it. Yeah. My, uh, it's funny.

I came home and my wife was telling me that my son had called the interception before the game. So, on the ball, we wrote Cal called it. But, uh, like that, in other words, I'm, I'm a talkable for the, uh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, magical throw, like that. You, you got to reset yourself, but, um, it's, it's definitely tough when I defensive when you're putting the field. I think it's very special to do it after we are one, you know. I think we're just letting everybody know it wasn't just because of an award and, you know, we're.

great people and having fun meeting some people and you know going to chose the hospital you know opening up another Craig's closet we had a teacher appreciation dinner last night I'm seeing all the the programs we're able to fund for under donors choose there's a lot of great things going on in our community and it's just nice the draw attention to that for me I think it's time for them you know they don't most of the time they don't even care that I play football you know they're just they're you know the kids at children's hospital like I always try to just go there every day you know you get to interact with the kids and they just they're just having someone's taken the time to hang out with them we did think of I won multiple times but you know it's fun hearing them call him and you know we're telling jokes and I just I enjoy that part rather than just you know making a big deal

about how I want to award yeah I mean I think that just it just shows you how depth how I like depth our online is and how good and how much of a how much of you know a team we got right now for them guys to step up and the guys who got hurt you know guys to come in there and play and you know and these guys probably never thinking that they had a chance maybe early on and you know the tables turn so fast and they're put in position where they got to help us help us win I think that you know where these past two weeks showed you know how good our line is and I mean I think it's credit to them for the success that we're having on the ground so you know just you know we always say I was hit my head off to them to coach

Pat and everybody in the line room for you know helping us all out I think that is just it's the mentality man you know that we we take pride in winning a second half but you know we got to try to perform in the first half too this is a four quarter game well you know four quarter fight 15 round fight that's how I say it and you know we got to try to find a ways how to know do that in the first half but you know make sure that we bare minimum that we win a second half so you know that's just a going back to how are we training camp and OTAs and all those other times that we had to you know dig down deep we find that no dog mentality and I think that the O line it starts with the line you know I think that they're the one who's who's moving the who's the harder team to be the team and you know we're just following the way that they're providing for us what is the ad what is the

what is it do for the run-up I mean see if he just he's just a weapon and I mean so he brings what he brings you know he's got the Hall of Famer so I mean we all know he's a playmaker in all areas not just the running back or the special teams but even our receiver you know he's like he's he's a he's a put him anywhere so just to have another player out there on the field where they have the game plan for is good I feel like the offense has come together it's clicking faster than it has taken longer what do you feel like are the ingredients of done practice you've got to keep reaching it sometimes it might not work the first second or a week but you know if you just keep trying and keep and you keep getting at it and keeping that mentality then you know eventually good things will happen you know so it just shows you know that there that that that every day they go in detail when we go out there in the field there are detail there I was out there early there I thought the last ones out there too and the show and so when there's just

practice like anything in life you know if you do that anything you just got to practice and it's not so much about how how fast you get it how long it takes just getting it you know now we're getting it early just just keep at it just keep working hey brother how are you you want to say something you you come in interview you want no he has a hey spend come on tell him how terrible you're music cases come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on thank you fat huh talk every Thursday actually that's my day to talk what you say I mean it's pretty much the same thing I've been saying all the time he's asked is this practice man you just practice you go out there and

you practice and not so much you know what you do is you go in film the next day you watch it you see what you need to prove on you know I mean you see the what what what what did what was good what was bad you know college we call it the good bad ugly you watch film put it bad you put it to rest and you work on the next team I mean you know you guys back some same questions pretty much over and over again it's just practice it's just practice man I mean he I mean shoot just keeping it just the energy you know I mean don't get laxidazey you know I mean don't don't get too comfortable and this especially in this court you know you can't get too come throughout all because no matter who you're playing the week after week when I what the record is you know there's still good team and there's still a capable team you know we got the Giants this week and they're a really good team too they got a good front and they got good players on offense too so you know just having that mentality of where that you know we got a we got a dig down deep and and really just you know finishes finishes

week out is the most important thing and it's having that mentality you said music a second ago I personally don't care I'm in the college we didn't really do no music but obviously it's not college but I think you know some guys like it I mean it don't matter all that is performed you know I mean music are no music the main thing is the perform and just don't lose focus on that you have music do whatever but just keep the main thing the main thing and the main thing is when it's kind of my own kind of leadership and be able to bring people into so I feel like I kind of have a lot of leaders on the D-line at the D-in position so we kind of all kind of just have to offer children and others. We all competitive people we all look at each other and I feel like the

bringing the best side of all is we all just kind of bouncing off each other and see what one person does and we kind of build into our toolbox and we all kind of just kind of build one great thing. Did Dave coach you that idea and you coached him I mean how did that come about? Because you heard Jackson all your sloppy. You get to test that. So I definitely did it in high school I was pulled back and a little bit tidied in so I feel like it kind of saw what I could do there in Coach Wilson honestly he left watching it too before he left and I feel like he planned that seed and coach day's head and coach day kind of just went for it and tried to do the best I could to do it. Is that continuing now? New playbook I did not know you got that far. I like to think myself as a football player I can really play any position on the field you need me to just give me a weaker to to learn it and kind of perfect it and I'll try to do my best for you.

Oh yeah. Graphically that's what. Kids is talking to Coach Johnson on Tuesday about some of the conversations and sort of sought you and you got out to have some conversations after JT and Jack decided to come back. Just kind of went into those from your perspective and how did that help you maybe get the right mindset I guess when it is coming. Definitely kind of seeing it all the way through. I feel like people kind of just see what happened and they don't know everything that goes into it. How long the season is now. What you got to do to prepare for and what happened and all that time from here to then. So I feel like we definitely just coached in me kind of connected and we kind of just talked. Man oh man and he kind of just said straight to me and I feel like we kind of both are pretty honest and we know we're making it. Making each other better every day and we got the 4 best DNs. 5 best DNs honestly and you're college football and we're going to be one of the best DLines and college football. How do you feel like a better player today at any more again in the season? I feel like I've taken big steps in my rules of just being responsible and being more of a leader and kind of stepping up and taking a step to kind of get out there more on the team and kind of bring people in and I feel like I'm kind of helping out more.

I think record head around the process of the 17th GFC. Does that sound? I mean it sounds bizarre but I mean the season goes by so fast already. So when you're kind of like week 10 and you're like wow it's already week 10 so now it's kind of gives you more time to kind of enjoy it and kind of savor it because I'm already in here for a really good refreshment for a slice crazy. But you don't want to spend all your powder for the first month of the year right? Oh yeah. There is a my taste yourself there. I mean there is a mindset there is definitely definitely going to have the mental stability to handle all those weeks and all those practices. How much has Larry talked to you guys about like that? The last question right here. The K16 2017 4 NFL 2 Feds of Reds All in San Diego. How much does he talk to that guy? I mean he doesn't have to talk about it. We know about it. We've seen it every day. We watch the film. We see him all working together. We know what it could be. We know we could become. So we know we're right at the same place at the right time and God wanted us to be here and he knew we wanted us all to come together and kind of play together and be able to bounce off and just perfect our craft together.

And I feel like we all are just great individuals and we come together at something special. Great. Intensified in Paul Cam. Oh yeah. For sure. Yeah I'd be probably up when I had it every day so far. Paul Cam. Yeah. What's your main way to try and get under his skin? Probably my main way to get under his skin is to say some things I can't say up right here. Yeah. This is pretty much it. You grew up in an area that's known for trash talk about the fields. Does this even like exceed that because he's a piece of this corner. Like mouthies corners. Oh yeah. Sure. That's what Coach Walt has told me also he's home. I mean, I haven't seen him. He hasn't seen him back time to hear this mouthy like you said. So I feel like that's a good thing to have. That competitive edge that they have is it's amazing. It helps us be great as well. There are opportunities for you and back to get involved a little bit. I can hand it to football maybe. It feels like maybe I'm back to spring. It's not different.

Opportunities for you. Yeah. There'll be a lot of great opportunities for us for everybody to get the ball and get touched in his hand also. Whatever we have to do just to win games and win them all. You gave in here last summer. What advice are you getting in my life? You have to stay in power and get into rotation. I just told him he has to, I mean, the playbooks the first thing. The playbooks the hardest thing. Just staying in your playbook. He's doing very good right now. All the progress he's made since he's first got here. He's increasing every day. His daily habits are just getting better and better. It kind of stands out about the seniors and the changes for action. I would say his route running. His route running is very good for a young guy. I like his releases a lot. Yesterday he had a very good route. Actually, that was a pretty surprise. Brandon, like you said, I'm going to be here a couple of months at this point. Yeah. What was that transition like for you? Trying to keep that from online. I had some on a playbook but also knowing you have certain natural cases. It was tough at first. Coming here in the summer.

In the spring, I was around but I couldn't actually play. So I was still trying to get into a playbook and stuff like that. But it was tough just actually playing on the field. Everything, we were young. Everything moved so fast. So you try to just slow it down, slow it down and just, you'll get it. And that's what I felt as I got older. How different does it feel now? It feels amazing. I know it's like saying a hand. I know the plays in and out. I know every position. Whatever the coach is going to ask me to do it. Going to run it back out wide. And so I would never have to do it. Brandon, you said last year you mean all the time. So what's a better year intensity? When you're a freshman and you're still trying to figure out your role. Do you almost have to hold back on your opinion sometimes? Yeah, there's definitely a balancing thing you have to work on there. Because you're young and then there's older guys that sometimes not really last year. But there's older guys on the team that was just like, oh, he's young. It's not less than a hit. But as you have to do, you have to get your trust to your teammates first. And that's what I say as I asked you as the season went on.

That's what I did and started to say little things here and there. But that was as vocal. You feel like you've a pretty strong voice. Yes. And you can bring is that mostly talking between the players? How would you describe the energy to people? It's vocal but it's also actions. Because they have to see what you're doing to follow you. You have to make plays, you have to do things like that. You have to make big blocks. The big blocks they fire as a father team. It encourages them to block this world. Brandon, you didn't get the chance to do a lot of that. And the spring especially in the summer season, how do you gain that trust and respect to people when you're not necessarily on the field? I mean I think it's just in the weight room. They know how hard I work. We have this little effort grade score. I feel like I was always pretty high on there. And as they see a day in and day out. What's that, what's that's Denzel work part? There's a corner back. Where is he unique? I mean, how would you describe it? Denzel has probably the best technique of a corner that I've seen.

Now I've won against actually. He's very patient. His technique is crazy. His drive on the ball is probably the best in the world. When you're going against a guy like that, what do you have to keep in mind? You may have gotten a good break out. But he had a pick the other day. You just out ran the guy to the ball. You know what I'm talking about. When you're going against him, you have to think. If you have something in a mediocre range or out, you have to think he's going to drive on it. So you have to be him back to the spot. He does it. I mean, I don't know if you think so. Yeah, yeah. He's going to break on the ball very fast. You have to be in back to the spot. And then Davis, what sets him up? He's very physical. Yeah, physical. I go out of him every single day. I think what sets him apart is mentality. And his mentality sets him separate from the rest of the DBs in Nation. Is he a better craft on the D-B? Oh, yeah. I do.

He's definitely a better person. What makes him feel? I mean, I'm just thinking the intensity of how he taught how he tries to talk. So I would say, I mean, coming from a guy from South Florida, we hear all the time, he could definitely be from South Florida. If he didn't know where he was from. If you've seen from Aaron Scott. Aaron Scott, he's a very young. He's a good quarterback for, he's very young. But I feel like every day you see him getting better and better. He had a couple good plays the other day, actually. I was surprised by. And I mean, he's very technically sound. And I just feel like he'll be very good on it. I think he talked a lot of trash in high school. Is he doing that now? Are you waiting for him? He might be waiting a little bit. He sees ICB in Germain and Doesail talking. So he's all right. When he gets his time, then he'll probably come around with a trash shot. What did he see from Will called Ampersus? It's like Spring Day. Coach, he was saying he looks more comfortable in the game than a few months ago. A thousand percent. And I feel like he's definitely saying that he looks way more comfortable. I feel like, and he's taking great leadership of the Huddl and the offense.

Guys that came to me and told me, how do I feel about him? And I've told them, I mean, I feel like he's the leader. Everybody listens to him when he's in the Huddl. And he's the commander. And then, the court bicep is very good, but he's been on a different level right now. The show does the show back for the Huddl as well? Oh, yeah. I mean, he makes plays every single day that you're just surprised by. And he's just like, there's another plague, there it is again. And I know it pretty much like new sharnatories, right? Yeah, Jeremiah's the guy I want to start with. What is a macro after we've gotten met to you as a receiver? We've been going to injury, all this stuff. And just mental adjustments come to my speed here. Yeah, what does it mean to you? As the leader of that thing. Do you feel like he's down to maybe giving an effort to try to pull what he's doing? Yeah, mech definitely deserves a lot more credit for what he does. I mean, coming in here, he was like my mentor. So I was always following him whenever he did stuff like that. Just trying to learn little bits of what he gave his knowledge. And even in this year, he had an injury. I had the injury, same lower body injury.

And we're just kind of, he's telling me the good things to do and what not to do with stuff like that. How to get better and stuff like that. But I feel like he's helped me tremendously in my game. Bryson says, I feel like he's been through it. You say he was working out to a JJ? I mean, he's the leader. He's the alpha right now. He's the fourth year. So I feel like he's going to be very, very good this year. Brandon, what are the biggest ways just things feel different for you now? Maybe you have a year and year about what they did this time of year ago? So the one of the biggest ways of things feel different for you now than they did one year ago when you first got here? I would say my confidence, I would sound very, I'm much more confident out there. I feel like just because of, I know it plays a lot better now. And I'm playing faster, a lot more smooth and now I'm running some stuff like that. And I just feel like my confidence is what's taking me to my different level. I know you've gotten a lot of reps at the Pongertunner. What do you kind of ask that do you feel like you can be if you end up getting that role this year? I'm definitely going to score touchdown.

I got to, they was just saying it hasn't been a hard turn touchdown. They got, Met got caught in the back actually, but in 2016 or 2018 something like that. 14 in a long time. 14? 2014 that, wow. 10 year, yeah. I don't know if I'm getting this year. Thanks Brandon. You mentioned the quarter, but what kind of challenges have you guys? You got different bodies. You got a long quarter and ITV, you got Gen Zell, you mentioned Breaking on the Wall. What kind of challenges have you guys and what kind of challenges you think that's going to be for both of the offense? It's just having that diversification of talent. I mean, like you said, they're all different and a guy that doesn't get enough credit to Jordan Hancock. I mean, he's probably the best Nick O'Connor in the nation. I mean, he's very, very good at what he does. I mean, I see him day in and day out. I mean, I'm in the slide. He's in the slide. We battle every day. He was on me today. I was on him. We were John back and forth, but it's always good. Are you mostly doing something to draw? Do I watch this for you? I watch this for the right. Do anything else? Yeah.

Are you mostly gonna slide back? Are you mostly gonna slide reps? Oh, yeah, mostly gonna slide reps right now. I'm all over the place right now. Do you mind the backless stuff last year? Yeah, towards the world prep, I did a lot more back-shoot stuff. Do you know what's lying up there? I mean, I played running back. That was actually my second position at my life side. It still comes natural, you know, just getting handoff and stuff like that, reading the holes. But, um, yeah, it feels good to be back there. How would you feel if Ohio State came to you? It said we need you to play running back for a game. I'll do it. Whatever it has to do to get the team to the W. I'll do it. I'll do it. Brandon, thank you very much. I got to grow and just seeing how other guys hammered herself, I'm glad I made me want to be like, be more mature. Now I was, but I just got more, more older minded than I. How do you say I'll just play on our first team of champions in the game? I'll say just coming in trying to be the first guy to come in,

like trying to come in, report an older guy you didn't hear, that's hard because they're going to be here early. So really just sticking with them and going on the ride with them, and trying to be them out of the thing they're doing earlier. Where do you feel like you've grown the most from year one to year two? I would say learning a game more, like learning concepts, just knowing what the offense is going to do before they do it. It feels different being out there of a spring than it was when it just came a year ago. Yeah, definitely. Everything was slower. Everything was lower in my fresh air. Like my high school defense all we ran was just man, so like honestly, it's new to me, especially with Cognano defense. And this year's like everything's low now. How are some different cultures? I'll say I just simplify more. It's more simplified and culture trying to get a lot more guys. Just see where it's pretty new still. We still learning and working through it, but they're just trying to get the basics and figure out what guys are good at. You guys guys like Jeremiah and Rack,

is that true of stuff on like the field of real games? You know, you can't get any other than Rack, so you can get into that a little bit. Yeah, it's all the guys. Jeremiah, Carton, Aero, Brainer, Aurod, and my feel like in the game is definitely, I definitely do feel like it's easier. I feel like we got the best with here in the country. That competitive is it. Like, you know what? Okay, I take you, I think it's a lot of it. You're made, I know, like to talk a lot. What's the like in the room? It's very competitive. We all have to go and have each other go. We all have to tell each other, I'm trying to be a man. I'm going to come try and come take y'all's luck. Might come take y'all's things. They blame me not even, I go and let me do that. So it's all of them. So I'm a love man. You're talking about that? Yeah, so... Devin Sanchez is kind of the same girl that you were last to have a big time 5-star recruit. Yeah, what do you see at a development ceremony? You're very competitive, very competitive. Uh, he got how about an energy? Maybe talking to the athlete, our whole room kind of like, just come together, we all got the same energy. So, but he definitely been on an energy and, yeah, that's it.

Uh, really how to just approach the game. Take a time, watch him work for him. It's really, they help me slow things down. Like, they help me break things down and know what they expect from my children. It's coming. When you dip in the answer, I feel like I did a good, pretty good game, everyone. So, I played like one play, I think it was a good city scene. It was like, it was played like a, uh, it was made a bit in the area more, but that's just... Listen, it's 6-8 and looked taller. Yeah, I'll try like 6-1. I don't know, 6-1, I'll say 6-1. I'm talking to Jerry about that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He talks about watching the film. How different is that now for you in a, like, high school and even coming here last year? Uh, now it's like you got a lot of more resources. So, you got coached actors just coming in and helping. And like, my main thing is I'm trying to come in early and I'm getting with every coach I can. And, uh, really just, high school, you know, you watch the film, but Tyler's like, you got to stay watch film every day. I'm watching their practice three times, two, three times a day. I'm flight, that's it for her.

It's being close to home, working out well for her, and you just kind of stand in your bubble and what is that like? Uh, yeah, stay at home, it's cool, but I don't really be going back home, ain't that bad for me. But my family come and come kick it with me here and there. I pay for shooting. Yeah, yeah, for sure. If a mom she loves down close, then it does. If you're a master of course, you can come to a building, just be a master of the club. Yeah, what do you say? It, it, it, it makes the girl happy. Yeah, yeah. You can put who's on the line. Players wouldn't say that about me. Aw, I'm your girl. Yeah, I would, it's typical for her. Uh, you can feel like, you feel that way too? Uh, not for her, honestly. But they said that I was, I just think that, I was a tanker. I mean, it's just, it's a typical one. Yeah, it doesn't know what he doesn't know. Yeah, I feel like I knew a lot, I knew, I knew, I know too much, but I feel like I held my home, but I definitely could have learned more. I didn't know too much coming out, I just feel okay. Just basically, I'm a, or a program, I was a little bit, I made, I had other skills.

Thank you for that. Something that JJ was able to push me in was just, um, you know, he was able to push me in my leadership. I needed to grow in that aspect, but he also, I was able to challenge me when it came to the weight room and on the field, because we were always, always paired together when it came to summer and when our workouts were always lifting together. You know, I get a couple wins, he get a couple wins, so, um, it's really that next level, uh, step of, um, competitiveness that I needed and that edge that I needed. That Murphy 2474? You met the, you guys came into the, the Tennessee game with a lot of outside motivation, with Michigan boss and kind of the three weeks of the talk. I know obviously there's still that motivation to go on and win a national championship, but how do you keep that kind of edge to lack of a better term mentally after some of that stuff has kind of gone away and probably the big one? Um, I would say kind of if you lose your edge, I wouldn't really call you a true competitor. I think that, you know, the way with the, the college football playoffs, the structure, the intensity, cranks up weekend every, every single week.

So, um, if you're not more intense than you were the last week, then, then something's wrong with you. I think that, you know, Tennessee was a great win, great for our momentum, but, um, we have our full focus on Oregon, not worrying about anything in the past, nothing in the future, our full focus is towards this game. Um, and then, you know, we win this one, we go on to the next one, our full focus is going to be on that one. So it's just, um, you keep moving down a ladder like this. Step on Crankstake, please let me talk to him. Mecha, there's been a lot of change in college football in the playoffs, and things of that nature, but, you know, the way in some, you and some of your team into coaches, talk about the Rose Bowl, seems like that's one game that's really, you know, maintained a lot of that tradition. You, you played in it, you know, what it's about. Could you explain it to, you know, also, we've never had a chance to play that why the Rose Bowl has maintained, you know, that level of respect from players and coaches? Yeah, I think, uh, I don't know, they're just something about it, something in the air down there in the past, of Dana. Um, it's just a beautiful venue, especially at time of the year. Like you said, the tradition is held yearning and year out, and it's kind of the game you dream of playing, and when you're a little kid, you know, playing back yard football with your friends, um, the Rose Bowl is always one that tends to come up,

so just having a chance of playing it, um, is definitely very surreal, and this is going to be my second time, so I'm going to do my best to take it all in, while also being fully focused on organ. Dan, hold, let me worry. The macro will study still has 90 minutes about that first game of organ, just what kind of drive you've seen in this week, wanting to get back in this one? Yeah, Will is, uh, he's a, he's a laser focused person. He goes about his business. Um, he's very loose, and he's very calm, and he's able to rally the team, but, um, you can, you can see it in his eyes that, um, this, this game means everything to him. So every single practice, every single huddle, making sure we're sharp, making sure we have a, you know, a better practice than we had last, um, than yesterday, a better practice than organ's having. So, um, his, his full focus is, is on being, um, this team, and, you know, obviously it's, it's hard not to think about the stuff of the past, but I know he's, he's, he's laser focused on what we got coming up. Tony Gervin, Buck, I have a, Mac and one of your kids playing back here, doing what team we played for. Um, honestly, I wasn't, I was never really, uh,

a buck I fan until, you know, I really committed here, and I, and I saw what it was all about. I was actually an organ fan growing up, especially on the Pacific Northwest, um, you know, my grandpa went to UW and stuff like that. So I like the Huskies too, but, um, there was a legendary football player named Foto Liatto from my high school and he went to organ. Um, and a couple of y'all probably know that story. So I'm a couple of years back, but he tragically died in the car accident. Um, and, you know, he was, he was someone I looked up to in high school. Um, you know, I, I was a relatively close with him, even though he was a bit older than me in age, but, um, just seeing what he did at my high school and then going on to play big time football organ, um, that was a school that I really dreamed of going to. Um, if they build a bit like, on the back. I need to ask you another, uh, Jeremiah question, but I ask it. Is there one moment, one play, one something that made you go, oh man, I've never seen before. That's just incredible. Yeah, I'll say it's happened multiple times. There's not really one. I can pinpoint, but the more he does it,

the more, um, I tend to react less. So I would say probably my earliest memories of it were in spring ball, um, kind of getting the first glimpse of him when he's making all these ridiculous catches. And he still does it time and time again, um, even now, but it's just more common now for me. The land. One of the things that, uh, came from the north. But you had, uh, I think it was 12 touches in the first game against Oregon Thunder, such as two carries. Is there something about this matchup that favors you? And now that you have, where that productive, the first time he played this team, what kind of attention, or I guess maybe different defenses, are you expecting to see? Yeah, I mean, uh, we're not entirely sure what their game plan is going to be, but we're paired for everything. Um, you know, I'm not going to get too much into scheme and stuff like that, but, uh, we know that if the ball comes our way, we've got to make those plays. So whether I have 10 receptions again coming up this game, where I have zero or one, um, we're just looking to, to get this win on the road, um, because it's really a road game for us, you know, flying across two times zones. So, um, I think that, uh, you know, it's going to be a great matchup, um, whether they tend to focus on me, um, more or, or not.

It doesn't really matter to me, um, because I know our team has a great plan regardless. That time for a couple more questions, Spencer, over a letter, and all, you guys ever surprised when the game and you and the strategy of current health and the management of the water to get used to? You can kind of feel it throughout the game, I would say. Um, you know, he's, he's a true competitor. He wants to get involved, but at the same time, he's super selfless. Um, he's really humble. So he's going to do whatever it takes for the team to get a win. Um, but it's the competitor nature, and then that wants to, you know, contribute as much as he can. So, um, you know, I try to be in his ear to, to tell him to be level head and stuff like that, not that I need to. He's a very level headed and, and selfless guy like I'm saying, but, um, you know, sometimes that's just how the game goes. You know, I had a game this year where I only had one catch, um, but, you know, we ended up winning by lot. So, um, I think that, you know, it's, it's hard, or it's easy to be focused on the, uh, the personal attributes that you could have game in and game out. Um, but no one's really going to remember those if we're holding up the trophy at the end of the year. He could be a number one, one, anything, 95% of the loss was right now, but he's like, you know, the three,

you see his work as a whole of those things. And he was, uh, there makes a play. You guys ever come back and like, yeah, this guy can absolutely be a number one on the low scouts of the ball. I would disagree with you. I think that he is a number one. I think that we don't have a number three receiver. I think we have three number one receivers out there. So, um, whatever the defense, you know, if they want to put their attention on one guy or, or a couple of us, um, they're not really doing their selves any favor because we're going to have a favor. We'll match up on the other side of the ball. So, um, that's never how we view ourselves. We know we're alpha dogs out there. Every single one of us, um, knows we have the capabilities to be a number one or see her and we are number one receivers. And final question. Steve, how long have you 24,000 sports? Yeah, and McAdda, the end of that game, you made one of the clutch plays that passed down the sideline. At any time when you make that play, you think, and did you ever, your mind that we're going to win this game? After we were now close to field goal range. I mean, did that play in your mind? Say, my goodness, we've got a chance to get out of here with the win. Uh, yeah, I definitely knew where I caught the ball. And I knew we were, you know, close to being in field goal range.

So, um, you know, there was a sense of, you know, I knew I knew it was a big play that I made. But, um, in those moments, you have to finish out the game no matter what. You can't get a big head. You can't get complacent. You have to finish the game, um, until the clock hit zero. So that's something we've been working on. You know, we work on two minute every single Wednesday, um, every single Wednesday practice. So today we'll work on our two minute. Um, and we don't even call it two minute. We call it clutch because, um, in those time, in those games, in those big moments, someone has to make a clutch play. So we're focusing on that every single game, knowing that we're going to have to make one of those plays coming down the stretch here. What would it mean if you're able to finish this one off and get to the final four of this playoff? Just what in your mind just, would this be, you know, just the ultimate, I suppose, to be a team that's already beaten earlier this year? No, I think the ultimate would be winning the national championship. So, um, you know, we're focused on this. This just happens to be the next team in the way. We're not focused on, when we played them earlier this year, whether they got the win over us. Um, they're just a nameless faceless opponent.

So we're going out there fully prepared, not worried about what's happening in the past. Um, you know, we played them before. We felt them out. So it's all about who got better from that point in time until now. A method, thank you. Thank you.
