Prince Philip's Fury: The Crown's Royal Backlash

On April 2nd, Hugo Vickers, a royal biographer with over 60 years covering the family and

more than 40 meetings with Queen Elizabeth, dropped A, bomb show.

He claims Prince Philip got so furious over a scene in Netflix as the crown that he

lubed in his legal team.

That offending bit hid season one, twisting the 1937 plane crash that killed Philip's

sister, Princess Cecilie of Greece.

The show cooks up young Philip, punching a kid at Gordon's down school, cancelling his

half-term break, leading straight to her death and his dad blaming, him at the funeral.

Philip was deeply upset by this fake blame game.

Vickers jumped on Radio 4's today program to set the record straight.

No punch up happened and Philip's father actually came to Britain after the crash to bring

him home.

Philip tuned in and felt some relief.

Vickers slams the series as fundamentally dishonest, with slick acting and scripts fooling

millions into buying fiction as fact.

He spots a Republican agenda baked in, peaking in the final season where the Philip

character declares the monarchy doomed in a chapel chat.
