Hilton, for this day.
There's some reason, I'm sure.
But you better be bringing your agendas to the table today.
Yeah, I was thinking about this. I hope we do argue.
I think we will.
I think we will.
Because last year, I don't think we argued,
and I don't think anyone in the chat argued.
And it turned out to be a bad thing.
Yeah, it was a bad old.
Yeah, very bad.
There should be people that are backups
who people think should be starters.
Multiple of them.
Yes.
And, you know, I think good disagreement
between teammates is healthy.
Really?
Yeah.
Can't wait to talk about that.
We'll get into that.
And much more.
We'll see actually how much we get into,
because yes, it is projected starters day.
And in some ways, I feel like there's going to be
some consensus stuff,
but I think there's going to be a few select areas
where gloves might have to come off a little bit.
No doubt.
And this is just 1.0.
Yeah, of course.
We'll likely do this again when spring wraps up.
And we'll likely do it a third time going into fall camp.
Yeah, I would say at least we'll get to version three,
if not version four.
100%.
All right.
That's the plan.
Let's go.
What's side of the ball first,
and you wouldn't have any strong feelings
for one side or the other?
I'm an offensive mind of guy.
Let's do it.
Where do we want to start with this?
Because I feel like we could do quarterback
and get that out of the way,
but we can just start arguing right off the bat.
If you want to do that.
Let's start with the quarterback.
Okay.
Starting on a good terms here.
Yes.
Next week, it's at the table.
I'm going to go out on a limb and throw out Julian Lewis.
Yes.
Have you heard of him?
Yes.
I've heard a lot.
And it's all really, really good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's the guy, man.
That's the future.
That's the present.
And I think he's in for a big,
big red shirt freshman season.
We're bringing Mary and kind of pull him the strings
offensively, putting him in best case scenarios,
being supported by a run game.
Yep.
All of that.
I think he's going to make for a really strong
year for Juju.
For sure.
I mean, just based off the film last season,
I'd feel comfortable with Juju being the starting quarterback,
but just knowing that this offense that he's going to be highlighted in
and the skill that is out on the outside,
the skill at running back.
Yeah.
And then just Juju with another off season to,
you know, have that under his belt in terms of gaining experience.
And, you know, Isaac Wilson has been kind of a popular name this week.
And I think that's going to also benefit Julian Lewis,
being able to push him day in, day out, weekend,
wake out and practice.
And somebody who he's very similar close in age to,
obviously, Isaac's a little bit older.
But Isaac has played football in the big 12,
started seven games as a true freshman.
He's a bit seasoned.
So I think that as well, his presence there is going to also help
and benefit Juju.
It's totally.
And I think the conversations about Isaac Wilson,
after two videos of, you know, curated footage from two practices
are a little silly.
What I will say is that a good backup quarterback is a good thing for everyone.
Oh, yes.
And I have no idea what the percentages for college.
But I know that in a given year in the NFL,
over two thirds of the teams have to use their backup at some point in
the NFL snaps.
And so I really hope that Colorado never has to turn to a backup quarterback.
But the odds would say that there's a chance at some point
during the season you're going to need to.
So you want that guy to be solid.
So him looking good is a great thing for Colorado.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Where to from here?
We can stay in the backfield.
I feel like let's do it.
Let's do that.
Who wants to go first?
Running backs.
Yeah.
Um, yeah, I can, I can throw it a name.
I'm going to let you guys do your thing.
And then I'll, uh, I'll hop there.
I'm going to throw a name to start.
Okay.
I think the Kaelin Taylor.
I agree.
It's somebody who is going to be on this field.
It's the easy stuff.
Right.
So he's going to be the farthest right.
Yes.
And it's lined up.
We're going to put them on the outside.
Put them on the right.
Exactly right.
By the way, Taylor.
Really quick shout out to you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, this is somebody who I think could be the Swiss Army knife of this offense.
Um, he's so versatile.
We saw him flashes, um, his three full games played last year.
Like he was obviously an emphasis of this offense.
And obviously it's a different play collar to different OC, different offense, all of that.
But I think the Kaelin speed.
And, you know, we saw some on the well off clips.
And this is obviously a staple of the Google offense.
That kind of, you know, zone read kind of fake to the one back and pitch it out to the other
running ball option stuff.
Like that is, that is the Kaelin Taylor.
Yeah.
You know, I'm saying getting him out in space on the edge.
Um, I think he's going to be massive in that role.
So I think he's going to be on the field to start.
I agree.
Uh, his receiving chops for me.
Um, that makes it different.
He's got that dog in him to kind of do some of that stuff over the middle.
Um, and be a safety valve.
I think for Julian Lewis at quarterback, right?
Um, I also think Brennan Marion's kind of stamped him.
I think that Brennan Marion sees the Kaelin Taylor and his skill set.
And he's, his mind's going crazy thinking of ways to get him involved,
to get him out, running up the sideline on a wheel, whatever it may be with that, uh,
gogo set and all the things.
As you said, you can do it.
The RPO game, the motion game stuff like that.
So, um, I agree.
The Kaelin Taylor, he was in line.
I think for, uh, a pretty impactful season last year.
And obviously it went down.
So I'd expect, um, pretty much the same out of him this season.
Yeah.
We're all in agreement there.
Who's the other one here?
Who's the other one here?
Who's your inside running back?
So for me, March 5th, two spring practices in.
Like, I think Damien Henderson is the guy who.
Brennan Marion brought here for a reason.
Um, he was a second lady rusher at sex day last year.
I think 560 or so yards, five rushing touchdowns.
Um, over five yards of carry.
He knows this gogo offense, as well as anybody in that running back room,
aside from Jaquil Smith, who also came from over from sex date.
Um, this is the measurements.
Check out six, two, two, five.
I don't think Colorado's really had a running back with those kind of specs.
Um, he was productive last year.
And again, I just think the familiarity with Brennan Marion,
his offensive scheme, what he wants out of that position.
I think just gives him an early kind of, you know, heads up.
Maybe over the other guys.
What say y'all?
Michael Welsh.
Okay.
That's my guy.
Yeah.
Um, feed him.
Please.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think Brennan Marion will do it.
I think he's built for this offense in terms of just his play style.
How violent he is.
Like a better term.
You said it yesterday.
That word keeps being thrown around a lot.
I think that there's a great chance that Micah is still your most violent runner.
I mean, I know Richard Young has been highlighted a lot.
Um, Micah Welsh has more career carries than Richard Young.
I think he's going to be the more trusted player.
And again, we've seen the potential so much in spots.
It's just a matter of getting him.
You know, on a railway pretty much, right?
And getting 10 to 15 plus carries consistently early in the game too.
Yeah.
Um, I think that he's just the type of runner that needs that and needs to kind of ease
into the game.
He needs at least five to 10 carries.
I think before he really starts to hit a stride.
So, uh, I want to see that finally.
We, for some reason, it's been impossible to get this kid double digit carries over the last two years.
I think this season he can finally hit that mark consistently and be productive with it.
Good points on both sides.
Oh, Lord.
I, there's part of me that wants to take Richard Young, but I don't want to create a standstill
or we can't create a grappling.
There's also part of me that wants to take Titus Batisto or Leonardo Valle.
But good picks.
I'm going to go with Damien Henderson.
I think that the experience in the go-go, the trust that Brenna Marion has in him already.
Uh, and the production that he's had in this position is eventually going to be the kind of.
The catalyst to push him to, uh, to be the starting running back here.
That doesn't mean starting running back at the end of the season.
Sure.
Nope.
And I think that it's important for everyone to realize that.
This is going to be a heavy rotation position.
Uh, where you could see, you know, five, six different backs on one drive.
Yes, absolutely.
Uh, so don't get too caught up in this, but I do, I do like Damien Henderson out there.
And I, you and I both still really like Michael Welch.
We believe in him as a talent as a player.
And Richard Young, I really like Richard Young.
Yeah, 100%.
Um, I just think Damien Henderson has ability to, he has the long speed, um, as well.
And I think he can still kind of carry or have some of the physical presence to his running style as well.
Um, so I think this is going to be a hot hand type of situation.
Yep.
You know, week by week, maybe even a matchup, um, you know, kind of situation, even a drive by drive type of thing.
Um, I just think when you got a full field ahead of you, I think those are the two running backs.
I would have out there right now.
You're in a short yardage situation.
I mean, that's, that's Michael Welch.
Red zone.
That's my coach.
Richard Young.
You know what I'm saying?
So I mean, you're going to be roles for each of these guys.
But as we see here today, I think those are the two that I would, I would go with to start.
Cup.
You guys are wrong, by the way.
Um, wide receiver.
Yeah.
Offensive line.
Yeah.
I mean, everyone's already, you know, the pot has been stirred.
Yeah.
Keep stirring it.
Receiver here.
For what is for that thing, running maker receiver, the two hardest positions to project.
Well, and again, in the process.
Yeah.
This is a fun exercise to do on March 5th.
Right.
Um, because we're in the middle of the off season.
And I think these conversations make for great content.
Um,
it's does it.
Projecting starters at these positions is kind of futile.
Yes.
Because it could change based on matchup.
It can change based on situation.
Did you did the other team start on offense and punt and pin you down at the one?
Well, the starter of that game might look completely different.
So, um, you know, it's all situational.
Mm-hmm.
But it's also fun to do this and argue about it.
For sure.
And we've seen it before too, where the guy who actually starts the game first play
is out the very next play in someone else's in, right?
This is the hardest one by far to me.
It is.
Um, I'm not going first on this one.
I'll go first.
I'll go first.
Go ahead.
The first commitment from the transfer portal.
Cam Perry.
I think that, um, that was pretty, maybe not completely intentional.
It was fairly intentional though.
I think he was seen as a target right up to gate.
One of the most important targets out of the portal.
And I think Brennan Marion sees some of himself in him.
And I don't think that, um, that's going to be ignored really.
I think that the yards per reception thing is real.
I think that's going to translate.
I think he's shown that he can actually obviously make plays, um, kind of in the short intermediate game as well.
Even just on RPOs.
I just think he's so many need out there on the field.
Point blank.
He's going to end up in mind too.
So that, that gives him a spot on this list.
Yeah, it does clearly.
Um, and I would put him.
Probably on the other side on the interior one, but it doesn't really matter.
That's a tight end.
Oh, two receivers are on either side.
Oh, I was looking at the opposite.
Okay.
Um, I mean, then I would put him on the inside on the left.
I mean, that's okay for my alone.
You know what I'm saying?
So I can't, I can't really argue too hard against camp.
So we're only putting two wider receivers out here.
Yeah.
21 personnel.
Go go.
That's.
Okay.
We can talk, we can talk 11 personnel if we want.
That changes my, my thought process a little bit.
We can talk 11 after this.
I mean, that's what it's like we're going to be on this year.
What would you take off a tight end or running back?
A tight end.
Oh.
Okay.
Okay.
So then.
I mean, we can, I guess we can literally, if throw that up again, yeah, yeah.
We can literally, I guess just put a third receiver in a place of that, that other tight end on the right side.
But if you, if we want.
Yeah.
Of, yeah.
But.
Formationally, it would be odd.
But.
Exactly.
I mean, this, when we talked about this yesterday, we just didn't, I don't think we established that.
But.
Yeah.
I was.
That might change it for me then.
How so.
What, what are you thinking?
Like, how, how, how does that change a math for you?
Um, because Danny Skideros 100% in mine.
And.
And.
Two small receivers, wouldn't it?
Right.
And that doesn't.
I mean, that's not allowed.
It could easily be those two on the field as the only two on certain place.
What is that?
What's giving you pause?
That is what's giving me pauses.
I was going to do.
Danny Cam and one of the bigger guys.
Um, so.
That, that makes us tougher for me.
For sure.
Yeah.
I mean, the way I was going about, I was going to two receivers.
Um, and I kind of.
A bigger guy.
Six foot plus.
And one of, I think Danny and Cam are.
You can't go wrong.
I have an either of them feel me.
If you have both of them on the field, you're, you're really explosive as an offense.
Um, so I guess I don't really know.
I think Skidero is locked.
Danny is locked.
Okay.
Right.
So let's put it on their large.
Yeah.
We might have to re debate the other one though.
I mean, yeah.
I mean, the other.
To me, I tweeted this earlier.
The four, the top four receivers in my mind.
Joseph Williams, Deandre Moore, Cam and Danny are interchangeable.
Those four.
And I would put Ernest five is kind of in that same group as well as all interchangeable.
And he's going to have.
Pacific plays designed for him.
For sure.
And again, with that familiarity that I talked with.
So.
Yeah.
Well, let's talk to Jake.
Huh?
Talk to us.
What you thinking?
So this is what you had, right?
I'll tell you on the other side of this break.
Okay.
Uh, let's shout out our friends over at.
Toyota, the official vehicle of D and V.
We are massive fans of Toyota because they are massive fans with of us.
And they've been riding with us for a minute.
But if you're ever going to come out here, you know, maybe go to Folsom Field, see a
game, see the buffs.
You need to come out here and get yourself a Toyota to drive around.
See everything that the wonderful state of Colorado has to offer.
Go into the mountains and you know, check all of that stuff out there with a new
Tacoma, maybe a land cruiser or a forerunner.
Or if you're driving around the city and just want something economical, something
that gets you to point A to point B is safely and as efficiently as possible.
They offer Toyota offers the most low and zero-mission vehicles combined than any
other automaker.
They got 16 different hybrid vehicles.
And if you want to blend them, you got the Tundra I force max hybrid truck as well.
Visit your front range Toyota stores or location near you.
Automation Toyota, Rapahon Centennial, Corwin Toyota, and Boulder.
Toyota and Little Tim, Mount Stays Toyota in Denver.
Steven's in Toyota Easton, Aurora, and Steven's in Toyota West in Lakewood.
Toyota is a proud partner of Sea Athletics and the official vehicle of DMVR.
Let's go places.
Shout out to our friends over at Taco Bell, where I'm sure when their CEO eats the food,
he takes the normal sized bite.
100%.
Because you don't want to take a normal sized bite of something like a chicken, bacon,
ranch, street trilloo.
But the most important new release from any fast food chain.
Oh, they've got slow roasts of chicken in there.
And they've got two street sized cheddar trillupa shells.
Build the slow roasts of chicken, flavorful bacon and freshly prepared pico de gallo.
Shredded cheese and avocado ranch sauce.
Let's go.
Jake has been singing the praises.
It's only a matter of time before we get ours.
And no matter what we're going to get, we're also going to add something
from that Taco Bell Luxe value menu with 10 items for $3 or under.
Where can you find that?
You can get three things for less than $10.
It just doesn't happen anymore.
But it happens at Taco Bell.
So don't forget that nobody delivers every day value and supports your home town teams
like Taco Bell.
Live Moss at the Goat Taco Bell.
All right.
Back on the show talking wide receivers.
What was the question again?
Was though was that year too?
Yes.
Yeah.
That's who I was going to pay.
Well, positionless wide receiver.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Again, not being held down by traditional thoughts.
If we talk 11 personnel, I will give you some different thoughts, I think.
Maybe.
I don't know, actually.
We'll find out.
For what it's worth, my two receivers were Danny and Jojo.
And I understand Jojo is obviously doing with injury right now.
As is Deandra more junior.
I think we expect both of them to be ready for fall camp.
And both of them are obviously a part of the top four.
If this is the two we're going to go with, I'm with it.
And I think as it relates to the tight end conversation, as we've heard Chris Marvers say,
like, and offense is lining up in 22 personnel.
Well, you know, with two tight ends sometimes.
And I think that tells us that Brennan Mary wants to at least have one on the field that
he can help it.
Let me just throw a real wrench in the gears and say that if it was only two, mine would
have been Deandre Moore and Danny Skatero.
Okay.
That leaves us.
Yeah.
At a stalemate.
Does it?
Yeah, because you have Danny and Cam.
He has Danny and Jojo and I live Danny and Deandre and Dima.
So I mean, I don't know how we settle this other than the fact that the graphics already said.
Cam and Danny, I feel like have the most votes.
So I think I think we can just leave the graphic hoties.
I don't think anybody would trip with those two receivers.
We'll talk 11 personnel after we finish the offensive line.
Sure.
Okay.
Yeah.
So this is 21, right?
We'll stay with that.
You can go ahead and put Zach Adkins at tight end.
Yep.
There's two tight ends.
So.
Never mind.
No, we're going with the two Roger Sievers.
Yes.
Yes.
Yeah.
I'm thrown off by the fact that the two running backs thing.
I'm not used to it, brother.
Put Zach Adkins on there.
He is just clearly the most complete tight end.
He, as Coach Prime said, he stamped him.
He's got a ton of talent.
He thinks he's an NFL player and last year was last year.
So I'm very excited for Zach Adkins and his ability to contribute even as a blocker too.
Oh, yeah.
To help, you know, drive home a running game.
For sure.
Yeah.
Zach Adkins could be in for a really big year.
Could be the X factor of this offense with all the attention on the running backs.
Potentially as we see here in the Xfinity video.
Yeah.
But, uh, but yeah.
I think he, I guess they could potentially be the Xfinity X factor of this offense with so much attention being put on the quarterback and the skill position guys.
Uh-huh.
Coach Prime said it like he believes that has pro ability.
So, um, yeah.
I think he is, uh, he's in for a big year.
Great.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're moving on to the line.
Yes.
Okay.
Yes.
I guess we'll just stay on the right side there, huh?
Right tackle.
Oh, we were talking X factors.
Maybe.
What is going on?
I'll tell you.
Um,
Right tackle.
Let's do that.
Let's just stay right there.
Right tackle.
I'll throw it in.
Leon Bell is my guy.
At right tackle.
Um, look like.
Again, it's early.
Uh-huh.
Look like on the first, first group.
But was it Taj White there when he hit.
Uh, so that, so that Chauncey was in on the play obviously.
Right.
That's not the, the number one O line right now.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
The.
Yeah.
That's just what he's on the first and second team offensive line.
All right.
No.
Taj is on the second.
Leon Bell is on the first.
Oh, I see what you're saying.
Okay.
Okay.
Um, and that, that's where I, that's where I had him as well.
Um, started, uh, eight games at right tackle for Cal last season.
Six foot, eight, 330 pounds has the size is, I think, a better, maybe,
pass protectors and run blocker.
Um, but there's some competition like Taj White.
I think you can't go wrong with either of those.
But I think right now, it'd be Leon Bell for me.
It's Taj White for me.
Yes.
Me too.
Okay.
All right.
Well, that settles out.
That's it.
I, he played a lot of that position.
Okay.
Yeah.
I think he's super experienced there.
Um, I think he's a good fit for this offense in terms of his mobility.
All right.
Uh, and I think that he's potentially a candidate to play left.
But eventually ends up it right.
I just think he's more experienced at right.
And I think if you have a, uh, the only real sure thing you have at tackle on either side
is Taj White at right tackle.
Yeah.
I mean, Leon Bell as well.
He's played a lot of right tackle too.
I mean, you, if you want to throw out Philip Houston and his experience at right tackle.
Sure.
Whatever.
Yeah.
But the point is last year, I got what eight power four starts out of Leon Bell at that position.
Correct.
Graded pretty well.
I'm not messing with that.
You said Leon Bell instead of Taj White.
Taj White at right tackle.
Yes.
Well, he had more.
I think he started like, I think he started every game.
Uh, Taj, Leon, he had the eight starts.
That's.
Yeah.
That's.
Yeah.
Um, right guard.
I think it's pretty.
Maybe one of the easiest ones on the offensive line again.
With that first team offensive line that we've seen.
Um, it's been Jose Soto.
Uh-huh.
Who started every game.
But one, I believe.
I think the one game he didn't start was missed due to injury at Sac State last year.
Uh-huh.
Familiarity with his go-go offense.
Um, no sex allowed last year as well.
Um, and all those 11 starts.
So I think Jose, Jose Soto has the size of me already with this, with this scheme to make him a starter at right guard.
I had completely agreed.
Sorry if I don't have much to add.
Do you have anything to add?
Um,
Johnson is a good, uh, potential.
Johnson.
Yeah.
So that's what I was thinking.
Yeah.
Uh, it doesn't matter.
I'm already overruled, but I will say.
Uh, that.
I would have Johnson here.
I just think that that.
Mindset that he has is deeply, deeply needed on this offensive line.
Yeah.
Uh, and so that aggression and that violence plays well for me.
All right.
Center.
Pancake Hunter.
Pancake Hunter.
I mean, so much experience, powerful level.
Um, he's just, this is just, this is just your center.
I don't know what to say.
I think they hit on the position two years in a row.
Mm-hmm.
Zarian McGill was a godsend last year.
I wish he would have been surrounded by some better talent,
but I think to meet your, his hunter is even maybe an upgrade from that.
Mm-hmm.
Um, he started every game over the last two years.
Yeah.
Only a lot of two sacks over the last two years in all those starts.
Hell of well against some really good friends like Texas Tech last year.
Um, this is a guy.
This is a locked in starter.
And he's just going to be such an asset for Julian Lewis with all of the football
that he's seen in front of him.
All of the fronts that he's faced, the blitzes that he's had to block.
All that would just be an extra pair of eyes.
Uh, to get a look at what the defense is doing.
Uh, as a help to Julian.
So that'll be great.
And then Sean Kinney is a name who could be.
Uh, an option at center or either guard spot.
Yeah.
Because he has started games at center at left guard and at right guard at Lafayette played 1500.
Snaps over the last two years.
Uh, two, three hundred and five pounds.
Um, get on the well off clips.
He has been kind of the second team center.
Um, so he has some real versatility on the interior.
Sure.
Left guard.
I'm going to say yo, yo.
As am I likewise.
All right.
Love that.
Uh, Attia.
Um, spelled like your nickname is first name.
So.
I love Chauncey Gooden.
I think he absolutely is in contention to start it.
Start at either guard spots.
But when it comes to game experience, yo, yo just has the edge over him.
Um, he proved his versatility last year too.
And he's also emerging as a leader, um, as a real voice for this team.
And I just think that he's really settling into a spot like this.
Whereas Chauncey, I think maybe still has a little bit more to go.
The potential is obvious.
Yeah, that makes sense.
No, it does.
I think yeah, yeah, honestly has one of the rare, maybe linear developments.
Right.
Hasn't been playing football for a long time.
He's obviously from overseas as a true freshman didn't play.
It wasn't expected to play this past year.
Started off as a sixth offense alignment and kind of jumbo packages.
By the end of the year, he made a couple starts made his first start in the West Virginia game alongside Juju.
It was named to the big 12.
The PSF, I'll be told team for his first career start.
Zero sex allowed, um, has the size.
Uh, he is just a team leader as well.
Yes.
So.
And you expect his development to continue on that linear upward growth.
Because he's comparatively inexperienced, right?
Football.
These other guys.
Um, so, you know, the fact that you've kind of already tapped into his potential that early in his career.
Already.
It's kind of an upset.
Uh, and you expect them to just keep getting better and better.
Um, Larry Johnson, who you, you were kind of out in front of that.
It's going to be playing guard.
Well, a lot of videos.
That's, that's where he's been.
So he's an option probably at either guards, but I think he played left guard when he got in last year at the end of the year.
So that would probably be where he stays home at, but a solid option.
A big body as well.
He's played some football.
Yep.
All right.
Left tackle.
Oh, he would leave for me.
I agree.
I came around.
Yeah.
Let's hear it.
I think it's bow.
What sold me was, obviously, I've talked about it like none of these guys that they brought and really have left tackle experience.
Um, the only guy who I think has started actually games at left tackle is, uh, Javin Richardson, right?
From a zoo and those weren't the prettiest starts.
No.
Um, he's a young guy, um, nonetheless.
But I think with bow, what kind of sold me, like I said, he started the two games at right tackle.
But his most snaps action played last year was in a game.
He didn't start, but he played 50 snaps at left tackle against Kentucky.
He held up really well.
I think he had an 80 plus pass pro grade for that game.
Um, and that I think just shows me that yeah, he can, he can play that position.
Um, and obviously he has the size, the talent.
You don't go to Georgia playing tackle for no reason.
Right.
So, um, and again, what also maybe swayed me a little bit is that in the well-off videos.
He is the first team left tackle.
So I'll sway you a little more and say follow the money.
Yes.
That's a compelling argument.
Um, I don't know off the top of my head who was starting at left tackle for Georgia,
but I'd imagine it's pretty hard to.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
You know what I mean?
For sure.
Like, and so I think that he is seen as a potential left tackle with the size, first and
foremost, six, seven, three, honey.
But secondly, just, I don't think he got many opportunities to really play left tackle
at Georgia.
Yeah.
And I think that's why you hit the portal and go to a place like 100%.
100%.
Let's bring that back up.
Yaya.
Not to be confused with yo-yo, which is spelled like yaya.
There's 11.
This is really cool.
And if you just for a second, take the skill positions outside of Julian and just look
at that, that is a whole bunch of size up front.
Yep.
And a really good quarterback.
Yep.
And the reason I bring that up is because all of the rest of it doesn't really matter.
Yeah.
It's all going to be like yachtsy.
Just roll the dice out and then see what all what comes up.
And that's a good combo.
And you know, write it down.
So I'm really excited about this group.
Sure.
So if you could get bigger at wider seaver, you could go jojo and demo.
Now you're way bigger at wider seaver.
You could go high keem and jojo and I even bigger than that or high keem and demo.
Then you can go Richard Young as the inside running back.
You go Michael Welch.
You could go Michael Welch as the outside.
Like there's so many options that exist within it that projecting the starters in this offense
is even harder than it was before.
100%.
And like Coach Prime says, another coach is on this tab say it's not always about who starts,
but who finishes.
And I think that's going to be a common theme for this team in particular because there is
a lot of talent on like last year where there where there wasn't a lot of argument right about
who we had starting as we see in the chat.
Like there are some differing opinions.
And I think that's a good thing.
What are you laughing at?
Yeah.
What are you laughing at?
This guy's hilarious.
Oh my god, let's take our next break and shout out our friends over at.
Toyo to the official vehicle.

of sweetness as well on top of the band.
It's just so easy to drink as the days get shorter as the days get colder.
And I don't think this is one of Brecken's very first hits, man.
It's a classic that was so good.
They just had to name a hockey team after it, man.
You're maybe not a Avalanche Amber person.
Maybe you want to try some of our other favorites, like the mile high city, the Broncos country
pale, LMI personal favorite, that fun slinger, man.
Breck Brew has a beer for any occasion and there is honestly not too many better ways

Real quick, I love you guys in the chat, but sometimes I do wonder if you're watching
the show on mute completely agree, completely agree.
It's like no one's talking about Micah.
Well, Jake had a whole thing about Mike.
Yes.
Don't forget about Chauncey.
Well, I had a whole thing about Chauncey.
Yes.
100%
All right.
Defense.
Restart in up front.
We start in the secondary.
Let's start out front because I think that's where most of the conversation is fine.
Let's start left edge up there, huh?
Sure.
I'll throw out a name edge.
Lamont Leicester, Jr.
I guess your thoughts on this sounds like maybe we got some agreement there.
Yep.
This is a young guy.
FCS freshman, all American last year.
He has the most pressures of Colorado players, transfers, added this obviously.
He had 50 pressures last year.
49 of them on true dropbacks.
I think 11 and a half tackles for a loss.
And 9 and a half sacks was his conference as a defensive rookie of the year.
Bro is just a talented past rusher and ball player.
And I think Lamont Leicester is one of my guys.
And I literally drafted him on my guys draft.
What I will say is this is where it gets really confusing because when you talk starters,
you're thinking first and 10 from the opposite 25 yards.
Run defenders.
I certainly am.
Which is not where I'm putting in Lamont Leicester, Jr.
Okay.
You know what I'm saying?
Sure.
Like that could be a spot to put in balance, I'm a Kamara, 63, 260.
I think maybe both of us or all of us are going to have Toby and a one of these spots.
Yes.
So he's going to be on the field for me on first down.
Yes.
And so like, well, Lamont Leicester is in on third down for me.
I don't know how to figure that with projected starter.
No, I think part of my reason to having him as a starter is because I think he gives
you more than enough in the run game.
And I think that's part of the reason he, according to PFSN, was the top ranked FCS to
FBS edge transfer this off season is because as well as his, you know, past rusting production
is in terms of the sacks and pressures and all that.
Like the 11 and a half TFL was like, good amount of that is coming from plays made in
the backfield and the run game.
So I think he's a plus player in that, but I completely understand what you say.
Yeah.
I mean, he's listed at six to two thirty, two thirty.
Yeah.
Not exactly run stuffing size.
No.
Sure.
Yeah.
I mean, I love the potential of him too.
I'm pretty much about the same to like, he's absolutely going to get a ton of snaps,
I think.
And could he emerge as a starter at some point?
For sure.
I just don't know if I'm picking him off rip for our first edition to start, but he is,
man, he had a play in the run game yesterday though.
You know what I'm talking about?
Yeah.
For sure.
Yeah.
That was LLJ.
Oh, sorry.
Le Mans.
Le Mans.
Yeah.
LLJ.
LLJ.
Okay.
Okay.
Um, but Toby and Aene is just a grown ass man for lack of a better tutorial, honestly, man.
So he's starting at one for all of us.
Yes.
Toby is.
Yes.
Okay.
So we'll just put him at the right for the sake of this conversation.
Yeah.
Jake, who would you put it left?
I think I'd put Doma Topeka Jr.
I think, again, it's kind of just the size thing for me, man.
I think that when you're talking about this defense and what they have to do better,
they got to defend the run better.
And I think that, I mean, let's say it's 235, maybe he's pretty light.
He is.
Like a cluster.
I think that it's just the experience too though.
I would, I'd also, honestly, I feel like I can be very fluid here.
Like, Billy, tell folks.
Yes.
So I was going to nominate Billy.
Yes.
Yes.
Especially if we're talking first down here.
Yes.
But generally with that too, I just think that you want to be bigger on early downs with
those edges.
Again, they brought these guys in for a reason, right?
And they can mix up the fronts.
They can't throw in some three man, some five man, all kinds of combinations.
They're endless, honestly.
But I just think in this base formation, you're going to want to be big on the edges and
experienced on the edges.
I just feel like, I completely just think I just feel like if you're trying to be big,
I don't know if Peco Jr. is the guy that you on out there because he is a big, a little
lighter.
I think he's giving it a little first.
That's valid.
That's certainly valid.
I think Balancama Kumar is a good name to add.
I'm sure.
Absolutely.
I don't think we can not mention many easy ogu either.
Of course.
Who kind of has that six foot two, two hundred and forty pound frame that we're talking about
more explosive.
Yeah.
Around the four or four in winter workouts, like you got options.
I'm thinking first, third down in the season, you might see many and Lamont Lester out
there.
Yeah.
But for this, I am going to put Billy as my left outside.
I will endorse Billy as well.
I don't mind Billy.
So let's do that.
Okay.
Again, Billy, top of the toe, all Mountain West honors last season at San Jose State,
seven TFOs, three sex.
We all have the same section.
Oh my God, bro.
All right.
Let's keep it moving.
Here, here, um, Santana Hopper.
Full stop.
Yeah.
It's unbelievable.
Yes.
He really is, man.
I think he could be potentially one of the most impactful defensive players that they
added.
Mm-hmm.
Disop season.
Uh, as, go ahead, I just, uh, I want to double down what you said and say that I think
by the end of this season, Santana Hopper could be like the favorite player of the fans
on defense.
Yes.
No doubt.
I mean, last season at two lane, at the most quarterback hits, the second, most quarterback
pressures among defensive tackles last season, college football playoff team.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Right.
On a college football playoff defense.
Um, so honestly, too, maybe, obviously, people have talked about the fact that Santana
Hopper listed at six, but two, two hundred and sixty five pounds.
Yeah.
Is a bit on the wider side for playing the interior potentially.
Sure.
Or if that maybe impacts who they put on the edge, right, to go alongside them.
Yeah.
But for sure.
It'll be interesting.
And at the same time, in fairness, to move the point I was making earlier, maybe he's
not in on first down and around stopping down and you double up on size and, you know,
on that type of down for sure, uh, and you could go with like, uh, you know, Dylan manual
and Ezra Christians.
Yeah.
Dylan and he was going to play a lot too.
Uh, I really want to add that.
Yeah.
Particularly on the interior.
Uh, we're going to have Santana and Ezra Christiansen here on the interior with Dylan
manual is going to play a lot.
I agree.
I guess we can play Ezra Christiansen and other spot there, um, still waiting official word
on his eligibility situation.
Uh, I know the feeling is that people feel good about it within the building.
He's obviously practicing and going about his business as if he is going to get this final
year with Colorado.
Um, but let all FBS defense alignment and quarterback Curry's last year, 28 and things,
the highest graded transfer defensive tackle, a coronaprofoil focus, the highest graded
defensive transfer tackle this off season, regardless of level, any team, it's Ezra
Christiansen.
Um, I think he has the chance to be a game record, um, on the interior of that defensive
line, similar to impact wise bug bully in a different frame, a different way of going
about it.
Certainly.
Yes.
Um, Cedric Smith as well, just other older player in that interior, right?
Yeah.
Again, this is kind of hard to do, not knowing the exact situation we're talking about.
Right.
Um, but there is very much a chance that like a Dylan manual or a Cedric Smith would be
on, be in on the first play of the season.
Absolutely.
Uh, second level linebackers, um, pretty cut and dry.
Oh, yes.
It's only two of them.
Yep.
Actually, there's three of them.
It also still because very true, actually, Leon Ali Fowl and, uh, Gideon ESPN Lampern.
Yep.
Yes.
Um, that's my, I'm just a, because I'm a wide receiver, like offensive guy, I probably
most excited about the wide receivers on this team.
Second, most exciting group for me is the linebacker.
Yep.
And I think it's most improved group, um, particularly because of Leon Ali Fowl, um,
his 138 tackles, his three sags during his time at Texas, uh, and obviously Gideon ESPN
Lampern, 119 tackles, 17 and a half tackles for a loss last year.
He's just still mind-boggling to see those numbers, not be in a video game and be in real
life.
Um, it was so cool here and for both of them tomorrow, that I think they, we obviously
had heard from Gideon, um, was on the show for into the program.
Right.
Um, but hearing, you know, Leon is well and Tyler for the first time, I think it kind
of reinforced what we thought about them as leaders and football players.
So that's the, I think it's going to be the harder this defense is here at that second
level.
Agreed.
Um, let's start at nickel.
I have really quick on that, like a lot of the job with this defensive line, as much
as it is going to be to make plays themselves is also going to be to set those guys up to
make place.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, most of.
Yeah, they're going to be able to run, man.
Um, start with nickel in the secondary, sure, sure, we got, we only had one name in
the candidate pool for nickel.
Boo Carter.
Yeah.
Boo Carter is your starting nickel, mm-hmm, and maybe more, yes, yeah, and starting part
return.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Um, yeah.
I mean, this guy is going to be, he's a potential X factor.
I mean, if we're talking video games, like the minute this guy first snaps steps on
the field, he's going to have a star under his name.
You know what I mean?
Like that type of player on this defense, um, he's going to be used in so many different
ways and his athleticism is going to unlock some things that we probably haven't seen
out of a defensive background nickel since, so I'm not going to say who, but, yeah.
These seven dudes on the screen right here, just stupid production, truly stupid production
coming from their previous spots.
Mm-hmm.
You love to see that.
That was clearing emphasis for this recruiting status.
100%.
Mm-hmm.
Corner?
Corner.
I think Justin Eaglin is going to be out there.
I agree.
Yep.
This is a ballhawk.
This is what I think Coach Prime has been clamoring for in terms of cornerbacks.
Doesn't matter.
Yeah, I don't know.
You can put them on the left.
I think this is what Coach Prime has been clamoring for in terms of cornerbacks who play
to make a play, not play to not get beat, um, eight, nine, PBU's last year, five picks,
one pick in the CFP against Oregon that he then retook to the crib.
This is somebody who's trying to get his hand, hands on the football as much as possible.
And I like his game.
I like his mental makeup, also a friend of the show.
Shout out to Justin.
Yep.
Playmaker.
All right.
I would like to nominate for the second cornerbacks about Cree Thomas.
I love it.
You want to talk about getting your hands on the football?
Yeah.
Is it reported five interceptions in the first two practices?
That's what he said.
So there you go.
Coach Prime said it explicitly, as you just mentioned, I don't want cornerbacks who are
trying not to get beat.
I want cornerbacks.
We're trying to get the ball.
Well, sounds like he has that gene.
And so I will nominate Cree Thomas at that position.
What say you, Jakey?
I want you to go.
I said it first.
I say you go.
Were you going to nominate someone?
Uh, yeah.
After it.
Yeah.
It's not Cree Thomas.
Well, he might, if he goes the same as me, then it would, yeah.
Sure.
So you should go.
I feel like I should be fluid here.
Me too.
So you.
Listen.
I'll say I won't give it damn.
I don't.
I have not given up on RG Johnson.
I agree.
I have not given up on RG Johnson.
I have not given up on RG Johnson.
I agree.
I'm not saying you have, but the reason I say that is because people have out there in
the fan basin.
I don't really know why.
I think that's a bit unfair.
I understand last year on every level was a bad year.
He obviously dealt with injuries.
He started the first three games and then missed the rest of the year with an injury.
Yes.
In those first three games, he was the highest rated corner on the team.
People not really trying to hear that, bro.
Yeah, honestly.
What am I trying to hear?
What am I trying to hear that?
What am I trying to hear?
Are they mad at him for getting hurt?
Yes.
I don't like the better than this.
I just.
I think he gave up.
I remember I'm giving up one touchdown.
He had some bad plays when it came to tackle in two, which again, I get it, particularly
in the opener.
Of course.
Yes.
I get it.
That's also a team that eventually cracked the top 10 and his first start.
Yeah.
Quite literally.
So I get it.
I guess that can be fluid.
I understand Crete Thomas.
Crete Thomas is a former four-star recruit, like he was at Notre Dame for a reason.
Yeah.
He still has four years of eligibility left.
He looks the part through two spring practices, but I think it would be, and I'm not saying
to you, I think it would be a bit early to Crete Thomas who hasn't really played much
football because of a couple of spring practices.
I'm absolutely calling my shot.
No, and I get that.
He's shown you enough to warrant that, but I mean, he's by far one of the biggest standouts
from the first from Winter and the first week of spring, right?
Like he's been just popping up all over the place, and he's just a voice too.
Like he's a name and a face, I think, that you've just come to know already.
Yeah.
I'm not ready to give up on RJ.
I'm not ready to give up on McCarrie Vickers.
Who started?
Like again.
A reason I'm smiling is because Soulja James is how I feel about it.
RJ, I think RJ is starting.
If he looks like how he should look, he's going to be the starter.
And if not, they have options to replace him with.
I think that's the right approach.
I think that's the way they're going to go about it.

So I agree.
Put RJ in there then.
For now.
That's fine.
We'll see how he plays.
We'll see how he plays.
See how he does.
And do we hear from him this week on the podium?
Yes we did, right?
All right.
We did.
So I think that tells us a little something about how they feel about him in the building.
Absolutely.
I love this.
It means we have a good team.
I love it.
I'm glad you said RJ though, because I was going to say it, but I didn't want to be the
only one to just send you the chaos.
I knew all along he was going to say it.
That's what I was like.
You go first.
Yeah.
Because they go try to do too much with me.
So that's what I was saying is like, if he says Cree, then you don't even get to make
your RJ points.
So I wanted you to go first.
For sure.
Not.
But I wanted to say RJ, but I just didn't know what he was going to.
Okay.
I mean, Cree, if Cree or even Jason Stokes, you know from Utah,
when those guys ended up being a dude, you did really well on your homework because
at that point, you kind of found, you kind of found a hidden gem, so to speak.
I think that a lot of people who watched this team were NFL fans at heart.
That's why they became big fans of Deon Sanders.
Sure.
Right.
And the NFL is so different than college because you have, you're bringing in literally
several kids and then eventually they become men.
And from that point, there's so much development.
So, you know, in NFL, you can still develop in the NFL for sure.
When the NFL, a lot of times you can see a guy go out there and it's just like, he
doesn't belong here and they never make it.
With these college guys, and I'm speaking about RJ specifically, like he has so much room
to grow from what he was when he got here to what he will be when he leaves.
But there's no way it would be fair to dismiss him off of seeing him play in three games.
And he's got a new cornerbacks coach too, totally.
Like he can be unlocked in a way still like, that's a great point.
No, none of these guys on any position on this team are finished products.
Nope.
And it's very rare that you ever have a singular finished product ever in college football.
Travis Hunter was not a finished product.
And to Lord Corn's comment, Vickers this time last year was coming off a heart surgery.
I'm not counting him out either.
I like the cornerbacker.
I think there's at least three or four options.
Well, and that's why I'm so in on Cretamis.
I'm kind of like willing it into existence because Cretamis being a dog and being a real
goal at corner changes the outlook of this team.
It does.
It does.
I agree.
I agree.
Let's not forget about Mojo Williams because as we know, they like to play young guys at
corner.
Preston Ashley at nickel.
I guess we had a thrown out there too, but Paul and Modi, I don't know if he mentioned
him, but he's a name who's played a lot of football.
Emory Floyd was all conference last year at six P.B.U.'s had a pick last year as well.
Yeah.
He definitely deserved a mention.
Yeah.
So you got you got options.
You got options.
Craig, if I'm wrong, but I think of all the positions, this one might be the hardest
one to predict.
I agree.
Specifically, too, because of what whoever said were, I mean, cornerback, it's one bad play
and you're off the field the rest of the game.
You know, yeah, very much so.
Yeah.
All right.
The last two positions are the safeties and somebody said we may as well not even mention
nobody else besides the two names.
I mean, it's named Mitchell and Randall.
Randall Randall.
It doesn't matter where you put Emia, it's Nate Mitchell and Randall though.
I mean, shout out Ben Finnissette.
He's obviously hurt right now.
Jaden Hardy is getting coached up a lot by Coach Prime and they kind of in between
drills and stuff.
I kind of believe in him too.
I'm not going to lie.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, he's a similar story to like Cree Thomas or even McCarrie from last year, obviously
without the heart surgery.
You know what I mean?
Like, these are young, very young players who are like highly touted recruits who see
you.
They got the, if you want to call it a second chance discount out of the portal.
You know, they take the star off.
But like, they were still four stars coming out.
For sure.
And Jaden Hardy got two career interceptions over two years at Oklahoma.
So he's been on the field.
He's been around the football huge forced fumble and special teams off Ryan Williams.
Oh, God.
So like I said, I kind of believe in Jaden Hardy, but yeah, the Ron Fett, excuse me, Rand
and Fountain Net and our guy Nate Mitchell for another show.
I'm on record saying that I think they have the potential to be the best safety duo
of the coach prime air at Colorado.
I think with both of them playing at a high level to their potential.
First of all, I think Rand is a, is a future NFL guy.
Yeah.
I think he's going to be here his name called around this time next year in the 2027 NFL
draft.
And I think Nate Mitchell has a lot of the same kind of instincts, right?
We heard Tyler Martinez what he tell us yesterday about Nate Mitchell.
He said, he's going to fly down and run through somebody takes him and head off.
You know, I'm saying, and that is what you need, particularly juxtaposed next to Randall
Orlando.
So I really love this safety duo.
All right.
Let's take one last look at it.
It doesn't matter.
There's your offense.
Initial thoughts.
We can talk.
Do we want to talk 11 personnel?
Yeah.
So one of these running backs is coming off the field on us.
I don't think it matters really.
Who is up to field, but think if we're in 11, we're probably thinking we're throwing
it.
We keep track on the field, okay?
Sure.
Again, it doesn't matter.
Those guys are staying in terms of the wide receivers, in my opinion.
Yeah.
And I think at this point, you add Demo or Dojo?
I think if I had to pick someone, I'd pick in DeAndre more.
Yeah.
I mean, it's interchangeable in my opinion.
And I don't know if anyone will actually do this, but I would love like the first game
of the season for somebody to chart the wide receivers that go out there and what situation
it's in and all that, like when they're on the field, like down a distance type of place
on the field.
Exactly.
So you can, at the end of the game, go back and tell you, okay, so and so was on this
many times.
Most of them were in third down, whatever, I can do that.
Because I think that it's, it's just going to be so interesting.
Yeah.
But I also think that you could go no tight end three wide receivers.
Absolutely.
And I think that might even be more common than this setup with the two go backs, two go
backs, three wide receivers.
For sure.
Now, let's not forget what, you know, Brennan Marion said earlier this week about DeAndre
more to somebody at on three, talking about that.
Yeah, for sure.
You'd be surprised if he wasn't a team captain.
Exactly.
That is somebody who again, Brennan, recruited to Texas.
They have a long standing prior relationship.
So I think DeAndre more assuming he's healthy and we have every indication that he will
be by fall camp in week one.
He is going to be somebody who gets a lot of, a lot of action, a lot of targets in his
office.
People are talking about Ernest Campbell.
And so look, Dre has a thing with the Broncos specifically, how it was way too easy to
tell what the play call was, just depending on who was on the field, right?
Yeah.
And I think that that's Henry.
Dre.
It could be both of them.
Dre too.
Dre too.
Um, I think Ernest kind of tips your, your hand a little bit.
And I think that it's pretty easy to put him on the field and just go, this is our deep
shot type of player, right?
And I don't think the defense, my opinion, I don't care if the defense sees him out
there and knows we're, we're probably going to target the deep down field with
this guy.
I disagree in terms of, in terms of, I think you can use them as an incredibly dangerous
motion player and continue to run the football.
Sure.
And just use him to try to get people out of the middle of the field when he comes screaming
across the formation.
So I personally am interested to see when I watch the go go on tape, I don't see a lot
of telegraphing at all.
Like you could sit there and especially if you cover up the down and distance, I don't
know if I'll be able to guess what's coming back.
And I think that's one of the things that makes it so dangerous.
So I'm not that worried about Ernest Campbell.
I think he's going to be on the field a ton of, he's slightly less gifted as just a pure
wide receiver as some of these other guys.
He's just listed at five nine one forty five.
My only thing that doesn't make me super worried about that is that Brennan Mirion, I know.
He did it all last year.
I know.
Ernest Campbell was on the field a ton last year and they had no problems running the football.
You know what I'm saying?
So if this was, it's powerful though.
Another OC, I would be a bit worried about maybe giving a defense tells, but I think Brennan
Mirion is uniquely positioned to make sure that doesn't negatively impact his offense when
he's on the field.
But I completely understand the point because, you know, if he's on the field, he's, he's
speed.
That's his best attribute.
Yeah.
Again, this isn't like a thing trying to disc run a Marin or Ernest Campbell.
It's just the fact of the matter like, I know.
I to the chat.
I do not know how you could possibly say that Danny Skidara who led college football and
receiving yards lit in the car final is overrated.
I don't know.
I think he's rated very highly.
I think he still might be underrated.
I agree.
I agree.
You know who I think is underrated.
Can't very.
Joseph Williams.
You do think that I don't, I think Joe Joe's underrated and I, I can't really wrap my
mind around why people believe that or why he's looked at that way based on what we know
this offense was last year, particularly from a passing game perspective, what we know
the offense of coordinator situation was last year.
Sure.
And the fact that he was a true sophomore last year with no shade to any of the guys.
Of course.
He has more career production than DeAndre Moore.
Yeah.
And I get it.
It's obviously SEC versus a year at Tulsa, in the year at Colorado, I completely understand
that.
But I just, I just think Joe Joe has become a bit underrated.
I, I just think that you brought in a lot of wide receivers and you brought them all
in for a reason.
But you kept Joe Joe around for a reason.
Of course.
Of course.
I'm not, again, I'm not trying to say anything bad about Joe Joe.
It's just.
And part of the reason you brought in those guys is because you had to.
I mean, O left.
Sure.
Guys left.
Of course.
I love Joe Joe.
I'm still huge on Joe Joe.
And I sure there's a.
If I woke up on a different side of the bed today, I might have picked him over DeAndre
Moore.
That one's a total toss up for me.
I agree.
Oh, and it comes to that.
And it's what I love so much about this group of wider receivers is I just think it's
just going to be a hockey team just changing constantly.
For sure.
I think that's facts, Brady.
If Joe Joe transferred in this off season, yeah, you would be.
Well, and there's also a, like, new toy type of thing, but the opposite is true, like
a stain on anyone who was on last year's team because always always that team lose.
Sure.
There.
Sure.
Sure.
There.
Let's talk about Twitter.
Yeah.
That.
So actually, since your brown, how to tweet earlier today, he did.
The tweet says, first off, it starts with three laughing emojis, and he goes for my dogs
at Colorado.
One thing I learned about playing for Colorado, please don't get caught up in this Twitter
stuff because this is what these fans do.
They fans for a reason 100 emoji, y'all boys at Colorado keep doing y'all thing and pray
for a great season this year.
I don't know what this is in response to, but so two things, one, I don't, three things,
one, I don't know what this is a response to two.
He's not wrong.
Yes.
You should not be paying attention to what anyone is saying on Twitter.
A million.
You shouldn't be paying attention to what we say on this show.
Three.
This is not unique to Colorado in any way, shape, or form.
I think it's the fact that, you know, since he came from Campbell to Colorado, there's
a huge gap.
And I know he played at USF South Florida, USF originally, even that doesn't compare in
terms of fan base chatter, Twitter talk, all of that to where it maybe seems like it's
unique to Colorado.
This is just fan basis.
Fan bases are out there.
They're talking about the teams.
A lot of people are negative.
They're going to say negative things about players, but I do want to push back on the idea
that like Colorado fans are just way or that way fans, you shouldn't be listening to fans
if you're a player.
I agree.
Unless they're encouraging you in which listen?
Yeah.
It's unique to see like how some players decided to just complete the off-social media
some players are on it all the time.
Some players were interact with fans and maybe sometimes some foolishness from social
media.
So it's just interesting to see kind of how guys kind of play that part of things because
it's going to always be there.
You always got your phone in your hand.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
And whether you click on the app or not or scrolling or not, like I saw, I saw
Cree Thomas.
I don't know if you saw this.
He reposted something in the week coming community to his Instagram story.
Cree.
Cree.
It was obviously a compliment.
They're complimenting him.
It was a good thing.
But Cree.
Tread lightly.
Yes.
But only blows when you're hot.
Yes.
It's just interesting to see how different guys kind of handle that part of thing.
But the other part of this is there was a fight yesterday and we tweeted it out and people
had some thoughts about it.
Yeah.
There's a lot of people out there online with platforms that are looking for anything
to say negatively about this program.
And anyone who has been around football knows that this stuff is normal.
Guys get in scraps whether it's the first day of spring or the last day of fall camp.
It's just found to happen.
You have a lot of testosterone out there on the field.
Guys who are competing, guys who don't want to don't ever want to get shown up.
If they feel like they're going to show they're getting shown up, they're going to do
something about it.
And also having an opinion about what you see in a little clip and then blaming it on
the coaching to me is insane.
Any type of projecting on the culture and that's what I'm saying is you have no idea what
conversation happened between the coaches and the players after that.
And you know, I saw someone saying like you're either coaching it or allowing it or
something along those lines.
And it's like, well, how do you we have no idea what happened afterwards?
We don't know if it was coached and disallowed or whatever.
So and then the last thing I'll say about this is like, if you're someone who exists within
this Colorado community and you didn't say anything about the passing of Dom Ponder and
then all of a sudden you pop up to say something negative about a little scrap.
I see you.
Like I know what that is.
We all know what that is.
There's a lot.
So I just think it's BS people are looking for any way to criticize anything that's going
on right now and it's tiresome to that.
I'll just add, I don't think anyone gets as annoyed as anyone in the this circle fan base
whatever about penalties and lack of discipline and coach prime.
The dude's been preaching it for four years now, almost.
I mean, clearly, yes, it's been an issue.
I think this is more sort of a product of the transfer portal and the lack of roster
stability.
And this affects other teams around the country.
You see dumb penalties all over the country, man, at top of the SEC big 10 level or level
in the G6 and the FC it like it just in the playoffs.
These are young kids and they don't, they think emotional a lot of the time, right, especially
when they're in between the lines.
And so like so I'll just well off posted the Chauncey good and clip from yesterday, right?
Which prime comments, not you lost your mind, God, it's at least four penalties laughing.
Like he, I guarantee you he is preaching that like in the building, but it's true.
I mean, Chauncey, you know, he gets up y'all and throws his helmet off and he's the first
thing I said, right?
Of course.
There's 15.
Exactly.
So like, to think that coach is just like, ah, those damn kids, you know what I mean?
Like, you're the darn distinct.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
I just think people were just looking for something to talk about and get engaged before.
This happens literally in every spring football camp and every fall camp at all levels at
high school in college, the pros.
It just happens, particularly at those offense defense align receiver quarter cornerback
battles where they're going at it literally every day, multiple drills, multiple different
like practice sessions and whatnot.
Like that stuff adds up and I would almost guarantee you that, right?
So the practice, high keem and Cree, which is like this right afterwards.
I mean, it's just part of being passionate and you don't want that on Saturdays during
the game against an opponent, certainly.
But on the second day of spring ball, let's relax to the people who want to make it a
whole narrative to paint about the program.
The one thing I will say is for both of those guys yesterday, we not punch helmets, please.
Yeah.
At least they got the Halo caps on now.
For sure, for multiple reasons, but also like Cree's helmet gets pushed off.
And like if we're throwing blows in your helmet is like all of a sudden off, you know
what I mean?
Like we just don't need it.
It's all fine and good until someone gets hurt.
Of course.
Yes.
But to me, it's like cost of doing business just you got guys out there competing every
single day.
And I don't care if it's day two or not, you're competing against people in a physical
manner.
Every once in a while, tempers are going to flare.
Yes.
And it just happened.
It's just part of practicing football.
Totally.
The same thing is practicing basketball.
Like, you know, it's whatever you just get out there and you know, emotions run high.
100% man.
Don't know what he want.
That's all shit.
Don't say.
Thanks.
Um, super chats or anything in chat, yeah, yeah.
The anti Danny Skidero, Gemma is great.
I wasn't expecting that one.
What do you think, uh, post show comments prediction here?
Who's what's going to be the number one thing they're most excited about?
That's a good one.
That Cree not starting at corner.
I think we're going to see a lot of what we saw in chat.
Where's the Chauncey Good and the Micah representation on this show?
It's going to be Cree.
Can I set it up for Cree?
You have a prediction?
I think it's going to be Micah.
Okay.
I think it's going to be Micah.
Um, tomorrow's Friday, Friday vibes only, but it's also going to be a big day.
We got coach prime press conference, first one of spring.
Hmm.
We got a lot of stuff today that we didn't really get to as well.
So we are going to have a jam pack show tomorrow.
We'll be live at 4 p.m. mountain time to wrap up the first week of spring ball.
I cannot wait personally to hear what coach has to say about a lot of things for me either
breath.
I feel like he's going to be on one tomorrow.
I hope so.
You might need a 45-minute press.
I would welcome that.
So, um, yeah, stay tuned and we'll see y'all then.
