Block Inc. (Jack Dorsey’s team) has unveiled Proto Rig, a Bitcoin mining system designed by engineers with backgrounds at Apple, Tesla, and Google. With a 3nm custom ASIC, modular design, and open-source fleet software, Proto is pitched as a complete rethink of Bitcoin mining hardware.
