PTX-100 Phase 2a advances as Prescient raises $7M

Prescient Therapeutics chief executive James McDonnell talked with Proactive about the company’s share purchase plan, which is targeting up to $7 million to support the ongoing Phase 2a clinical program for its lead cancer therapy, PTX-100. The funds will help Prescient Therapeutics continue progressing PTX-100 through the study, with an important near-term milestone expected later in 2026. The company is currently running Phase 2a trial sites in Australia, the United States and Italy, with France expected to join the program in the early part of next year. The study has enrolled 28 patients. A dose optimisation committee will begin reviewing progress once there are 10 evaluable patients in each of the study’s two arms. Prescient Therapeutics expects that review to take place towards the end of 2026. The committee will assess safety and help define a dose that could be taken forward into the next stage of the clinical program. Prescient Therapeutics expects further visibility on the study’s progress around November or December as the dose optimisation review approaches.
