Russias Investigative Committee has indicted Pussy Riots founder, Nadya Tolokonnikova, for violating the foreign agent law. Shes accused of posting unlabeled content on messaging apps and is now on the federal wanted list. This comes after two previous convictions in April and May 2024 for the same offenses. The group was designated as extremist by Russias Justice Ministry in March, following years of conflicts, including their 2012 cathedral punk prayer. Pussy Riot is banned from political actions or shows inside Russia. Tolokonnikova recently took over Ubiquitis New York offices, alleging the tech firms gear aids Russian forces in Ukraine. She also criticized the Venice Biennale boss for allowing Russian representatives while blocking dissenters. Other members face in-absentia sentences, and four of their protest videos were outlawed last July. Tolokonnikovas defiance continues to challenge Putins regime.
