Dating apps have revolutionized social interactions, but it seems they’re also leading to a collective groan from users. The reality is, many people are feeling burnt out. A recent survey by Forbes Health revealed a staggering 78% of dating app users report feeling exhausted—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Interestingly, this fatigue seems to hit younger generations particularly hard, with 79% of Gen Z and 80% of Millennials echoing that sentiment. So, what exactly is causing this burnout? Users are expressing frustration over the lack of genuine connections. Imagine swiping through endless profiles only to find that 40% of respondents struggle to form meaningful relationships. That’s a serious issue when you're spending all that time on these platforms. To add to the frustration, 41% have been ghosted, 38% have faced catfishing, and 27% have dealt with what’s known as 'love bombing.' It’s clear that the digital arena is less than forgiving.
