1:01That's the hot one, isn't it? That's...yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's the hot one. Bringing back memories of the chip. Yeah, yeah, no for sure. I like it though. It goes pepper-practice a little hot. Yeah, you like it. Yeah, I mean. Yeah, that's hot. What's in that one? Almost 400 episodes of the talk show Hot Ones have been produced. Sean Evans. This is...there was a game show for a while. Remember the Hot Ones, the game show? Of course. That was out there. That's always exposed. That's a great one. CM Punk called me out on it, and he's right. It's a good source, bastards.

2:01The basic premise of Hot Ones. Anyone remember the history? Anyone remember the list of current episodes? It began in 2012. First episode. First episode. I got you with it last...yesterday, as you went goofy debuted, 1932. You guys remember the references in popular culture? And the articles cited? That's so funny. Oh, man. Anybody want to make an edit on the Hot Ones, wikipedia page? Somebody's editing wikipedia. Celebrities are being interviewed by Sean Evans. Sox fan. Over a platter of increasingly spicy chicken wings. And so the interview gets a little spicier and a little bit more challenging as we go on. So Sean Evans, Sox fan, out of chance to sit down with Caleb Williams, bears quarterback. And Tanny pulled us a few clips up. Did you enjoy watching him, Tanny? Did Caleb look good? Of course. Yeah, he looked great. And, you know, so yeah, you mentioned it.

3:02So he progressively, you know, they heat ramps up a little bit. So he handled it all very well. That was probably like the worst. It sounded like it came in this segment with here. But it's just cool to see a bear's quarterback doing this thing, a pop culture thing of this magnitude. You already saw some of the Packers fans saying, oh, Jordan Love. You know, where's the wise and he on this show? It's like, well, because he's not as good as Caleb. He's nobody cares. What? At least watch episode of Hot One's Ever. Right. I wonder which Packers lost to the bears as Sean Evans is favorite. We should ask him. Yeah, but I think we will have an opportunity to ask him. I think at one point. Oh, good. We're efforting. We're efforting. Efforting. Slacked him. All right. So here's some of Caleb Williams. Not Caleb Wilson. By the way, Caleb Wilson's over at regular today. Caleb Wilson is hanging out for batting practice. I think he's throwing out the first pitch over. Taken some BP. Is he taking videos of him in him in good swing? Him and Tyree's Halleburden just battling it out on the mound and on the baseball. Yeah, maybe so. Right. That's kind of cool.

4:02But this is Caleb Williams on Hot One's talking about a variety of things over chicken wings. The first is how the USC kid, the Washington DC kid, the Oklahoma student, has fallen in love with Chicago. So as Hot One's fans know, I grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I've been a bear's fan my entire life. Is there something about the city of Chicago that surprised you? Like maybe something you didn't expect to love when you got drafted, but now can't imagine your life without. For sure. I didn't think I was going to like it that much, to be honest. And I fell in love with the city of Chicago, the people, the food. Obviously, the sports and things like that. I got a couple of other friends that are planning Chicago sports, PCA, Modus, all these other guys. And then one of my other good friends, Cole, he's also born and bred from Chicago. And the people, I'd say, is the biggest thing. I didn't realize that the people were so hospitable. And then also the Chicago is actually insanely clean. So it's surprising, it's surprising.

5:03That surprised me. Yeah, I used to do the architecture tours of the Chicago River. When you do it, Caleb, call on me. I'll give the tour. We'll do it. I'll call on you. We'll get you back out Chicago. That's nice, nice little good chill hang. Come on, Caleb. Did you guys have a test? Yeah, we're going to take Tevin Jenkins on the architectural tour. We didn't get chased before we got out of it. One of the most underrated things in the city of Chicago, where we're at. The best. Chicagoans, you know, like you don't go downtown to be a tourist, but that's something you actually should do. Like take the family, do something you learn so much about the city. Shout out to Caleb, just bringing out, you know, different people. I love the fact that he said Modus' name, right? He's got people that work in sports that they don't say it, right? And then this is boy and he's like Modus. That's great. You love the fact that he shots out cold, Bennett, Lyrical Lemonade, which is just an iconic brand that comes out of the city and touches all aspects of music around the globe. And, you know, we all knew that Caleb had an issue with the city from the beginning. Like there was some sort of lingering issue that he had. And we knew that once he got here, we'd shower him with love and he'd fall in love with it.

6:06So I love hearing in real time what I already knew Caleb was going to go through once he got here. That's a really good point. And the context of that feels so far removed. Right. But it's a really good point. Like he and his dad had something against the whole concept, the whole idea of the franchise. Losing everything. Yeah. Not anymore. Here's Caleb doubling back to a familiar analogy when discussing his head coach Ben Johnson. What does a great version of the quarterback coach relationship feel like? Like is it more like a mentorship, more like a marriage or more like a jazz duo? I'd say mentor and jazz duo because there's parts of it where he's, you know, at least my coach in my situation. Like he's super tough and he's on the mentor mentor aspect of it. And he's, you know, he's coached me hard and I have respect for that and I love him for that because that's what I want. I want to, you know, reach things and reach some of my goals. And you need somebody like that around you to show you what you don't know. And the jazz part is typically on Sundays. I think you get on the field and then it becomes poetic. It becomes a good old jazz night.

7:08It becomes jazz. It becomes jazz and so I think a good combination between those two is, I think where it stands the best. Man, that is lovely. All right. Music speaks. What instrument is Caleb playing? What instrument has Ben playing in this jazz duo? 8:09But now we're thinking if we're talking about, I mean, jazz duos don't happen a lot. And usually it's a trio at least, like piano, bass and drums. Probably piano and bass. So maybe Ben is the bass player holding down the fort comfortably, super damn solid. You know, like a great upright jazz bass player is given you rhythm on the body of the bass itself or in the plucking of the strings. They're like a rhythm section and a enamelotic instrument at the same time. Get you at a solo, you feeling good? I was saying. He ever wants in a while. But then that pianist is like sometimes he's just got a comp chords. He's just got to give you chords and just like hang out and let the other voices play. But then every once in a while he gets the solo and he can take it anywhere he wants to take it. That's a good point. So that's where I'll go. He's like, oh, Benny J, you're doing the upright bass solo.

9:11I got some chords for you. Yeah, because I see what you're doing. Right, right. So I'll unlock step what you're doing. I'll just give you the basics while you're soloing. Yeah, hopefully you guys followed that. Yeah, I think they did. And if they didn't, you know, maybe we educated a little bit and that's all right too. Love that. Wow. Here's Caleb Williams, who his own head coach just flat out called clutch. And here's Caleb on that concept. There's a school of thought in sports science. Yep. That clutch is mostly not real. That it's actually a kind of survivorship. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So like being clutch, like being clutch. Yeah, that it's actually a kind of survivorship bias. But we remember the great fourth quarter comebacks, but forget about the games that got away. Yep. Is someone who said an NFL record with seven fourth quarter comebacks this last year. What's your response to the lab research? Like, do you think the clutch gene is real or a myth? I do. I do. I really do. Actually, I think some people have it. Some people don't. I think you can also make it stronger or make it all like you can also weaken.

10:14Like you can weaken it. And so I think part of it's a mindset. And I think some things you can't research. I think some things you can't put into a lab and say, you know, we're going to look at this or that. I think when it becomes that moment that, you know, we need to go score. I take that deep breath right before the moment. And then it zones me in and it feels like everything's shut off. And I think part of it comes from the confidence in the hard work that I put in to where when I take that deep breath, it goes back to that time where it's me. You know, I'm Jacksonville LA working out throwing to my guys in Chicago working out. And it's nasty me into that mode. And I think the full trust and faith and belief goes into my coaches, my teammates and myself. There's no academic measure for that dog in you. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Damn, right. Man, put it on a t-shirt, speaks. Haha, my guy. The whole speech that he just said put the whole thing on a t-shirt. Man, that speaks right to my soul. I'll tell you right now, clutch deniers have always been full of crap because they're losers.

11:16I didn't say that. I will. You guys are losers because did you hear the winner talk? The winner that did it and actually did it said it is true. It is real. And as a matter of fact, I have it. I take a deep breath and it comes to me. You guys don't know. You can't measure it. You can't quantify it because you guys are losers. I am a winner. It happens internally. I can't tell you what this is. Inject that into my veins. Seriously, regardless of sport, regardless of kind of pursuit, frankly, I've seen it on a stage, man. I've seen musicians rise up to the moment. And I've seen people crumble as well. Yeah, hell yeah, it's real. Flutch is reclutch deniers. Take that. Michael Jordan has something to say about this. Yeah. That's came a few things that's real. Man, was that delightful? I'm enjoying that. Hell out of this. Tanny, this must have been a good watch for you. This must have been enjoyable for you. Absolutely. It's enjoyable for us. The six times we're good enough for you, Tanny, when you're watching it back to back to back.

12:18Back to back to back to back. Six. I used to be able to do that. I mean, we grow up, we evolve, we change. Yeah. I love the humanization of Caleb Williams right there. I mean, listen, hot ones, if you're of a certain age, it's, you know, synonymous with pop culture in that, if you are doing something big, it is the 2026 version of late night talk television, right? Where, if you had something going on, or if you were hot, you went on David Letterman, you went on that show. Now, if you're hot and you want exposure to that, you go on hot ones. Yeah, I'd heard a little, as you said, that hurt a little. I loved, I loved some good late night TV. It's hard though, because there's some really bad cringe late night TV out there too. It's like, like SNL, you know, it's been done so many times. You just can't duplicate it anymore. So here's Caleb Williams answering some rapid fire questions about his teammates on hot ones. You might tap into this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's a good, that's a good idea. Cause long ones, same page. Strap them. Communication matters.

13:19We're dancing, we're dancing. Yeah. Oh, let's take a second. Yeah. Before we get to other. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't worry, I got a nice long wind up here. All right. So while you battled a bomb. I want to play a game where I give you your book's superlatives and you pick the player on the bear's roster. Let's do it. That best matches that description. Who would you say is most likely to become a head coach in 20 years? How's that? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's hot. Um, coach. It's like I'm breathing the bomb. Let's go like Coke Met. I knew that. Pretty Jared. Oh, yeah. Those two probably. Who's the smartest football mind in the locker room? I probably got to go joke, too, any? Hmm. 14 year vet.

14:19No, no, no, case kingdom. Let's go case kingdom for the 20 year. He's already coaching his kids. Yeah, he's got to start everybody. Which vet taught you the most when you first came to Chicago? Oh, case kingdom. Case kingdom. It's a big case kingdom wing. Big look for case kingdom. Yeah, you're the best. Case man. What's the name of the guy? Case kingdom? Keenan Allen, too. Who pound for pound has the best celebrations when they make a mocus, unbelievable. This is, it would taste great at this time. Probably Jade Walker or Luther Burton. You're unbeatable. The teammate who never shuts up even in the huddle. Yade Walker. Jade Walker. You hear Jade Walker when you wake up? You hear him when you go to bed? You hear him when you go to sleep. I think I hear his voice right now. I mean, you hear him in the locker room as soon as you get to locker room. How you feeling? Would you like some ice cream? We can get you some ice cream.

15:19Yeah. Tough stuff I'm talking about. So ice cream is the antidote, little milk, little ice cream every once in a while. On hot ones. Yeah, you got to, that's how you kill the heat. Yeah. You know, shout out to my chemistry teacher. Some good stuff in there. How about, he says which veteran when you got here gave you the most advice. And he says, case kingdom, it was not here. You're one. He does come up with Keenan Allen. That's so funny. He comes up with Keenan Allen. So there's at least somebody who was actually here. He learned. And sure his hell wasn't a coach. And it wasn't, wasn't anybody else on this damn roster? I think Keenan Allen. And Keenan Allen. And Keenan's mind, his football career didn't start until you two. In Ben's mind as well. All right. Remember Ben asked about it. What do you think he learned that? Not much. Yeah. Speak a little validation. Remember for all those segments we had talking about, you know, with Daniels like his area. Should they be adding a veteran quarterback to this room here in that rookie year? Oh. No, you don't need that. You don't need a veteran quarterback.

16:19Also, clutch doesn't exist. Fight me in retrospect. I don't want to hear that. Yeah. Well, you know, it's just true. That is some great stuff from Caleb Williams. As he battles through the hotness, you know what it does? It disarms you. It disarms you. It de-causes you. You are vulnerable in having the conversation while your mouth and your soul is burning from chicken links. Caleb Williams on how he unwinds. So in a recent sports center, in a recent sports center interview, you said that video games are your passion just behind football. Besides Madden, which game do you think pulls out your most competitive side? Oh, man. Probably arc Raiders. It's just like this extraction game, survival extraction game with other players on the map. I'm not one to like, they call it raging and get off. But when things go bad with that game, I get off. I think you're making this hotter for me when you do that.

17:20Like in my face, I have to work on my listening face. I really think that is something I have to work on. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. When I'm dying, I think I have to work on that. That's a good note. That's a good note. Always. I know. That's what I'm picking up on today. Yeah. Alright, Caleb Williams. Arc Raiders is a multiplayer third person extraction. I'm not happy you're doing this actually. I have no idea what this is. Yeah, but I think the sales are about to go up a little bit for the next. Yeah, by the stock right now, it looks good. It's a third person extraction shooter gaming, finally the PS5 or Windows or the Xbox series. Rooster on this one. You know, I don't think he knows. I haven't heard him talk about it, but it's played from a third person perspective, not a first person shooter. So very interesting. You know, everybody knows this. It was awarded best multiplayer game at the Game Awards in 2025. An online game of the year at the 29th annual dice war. You didn't know that? I'm speaking for that.

18:20I just stuff that I have rolling around in my head. The dice awards. Hey, oh, hey, hey. You play all the games you that get played and wanted the dice awards. You have to play with your your hand around the back of your neck like that. You got to touch ahead to the side of the time. How do we do that? Oh, mother hubbud. Did you imagine a amount of young people that are going to be trying to play art graders, hoping and praying that one day they end up paired with Caleb Williams? Oh, 100%. 100%. Graphics are good. Looks like kind of an 80s thing a little bit. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. And then here's the one you were asking about Gabe. This one made the rounds a little bit. Caleb talking about other quarterbacks. I love this one. Okay, I haven't heard this one yet. This Caleb Williams. Pay attention to the ending. The hot one is talking about other quarterbacks in the NFL. The wings of death are behind us. You've taken on the gauntlet. You've taken some punches. But you've ended up on top.

19:21And to close things out, you're a genuine student of the position, a quarterback, historian. So what I want to do is give you the floor to teach the class. I'm going to bounce the names of some legends who came before you. Yeah. And then I just want my hot ones out. And then the ones who are like quarterbacks, like, okay. Okay. Then I'm going to throw some at you. And then you tell me what a quarterback can learn watching the tape. Okay. Okay. Randall Cunningham. Cannon. He could do the thing that I did. Versus Rams. 20 extra yards. He could hold the ball anywhere, anywhere. Put it on the field at any point. Whenever he wanted. Tom Brady. Killer. Two minute killer. I'm in the game moment killer. Let's go moment killer. Aaron Rogers. Magician with the football. Magician with the football. And Caleb Williams. All of the above. Let him know. Let him know. And you Caleb Williams. Taken on the wings of death.

20:22Living to tell the tale. Oh, man. That's tremendous. Did I tell you pay attention to the end? All of the above. How about how about that hesitate? How about that self-talking that kid? Huh? I got some very positive self-talking there. I don't know. I'm not one of those people that was like, you got to claim it. That's not me. I'm not. I'm not those people. Okay. You got to get an ask for what you want. You're going to say it. I'm going to be the best quarterback. I'm going to be the best thing. But then when I see Caleb say things like that. It makes me change my wiring just a little bit. To casually set out there. We're like, yeah, all of the above. It's a bold thing to say for a quarterback. Right? Well, especially one who's still is still learning. Right? You just talked about Randall Cunningham, Tom Brady. I love it. I love it because I believe him when he says these things. I believe he when he first got here. I believe it now. Caleb, we know he wants to be the greatest. We know he wants to be the best. When you hear him say that, then I'm like, you just get reminded. It's for my team.

21:22Well, the tricky part is, you want that kind of confidence. But you want it to come with like the humility and the work ethic to drive and keep learning, to be the best. And that's a tricky thing. That mix is not often found. You get some people with that kind of confidence. Yeah. But it can bleed into arrogance where they don't actually do the work. Unfortunately for him, he has a Ben Johnson above them. Right? Where it will humble you. He will keep you on point where that you can still live in that bubble of greatness. Yeah. But you will always be reminded that there's work to be done by your head coach. It's really it's a really interesting thing. Who that guy is. Tanny, thanks for going through that. That's great.
