Raiders Re-sign DT Booker, Shaping New 3-4 Defense

NFL stories making news on March 18th. The Las Vegas Raiders locked in defensive tackle

Thomas Booker this Tuesday by resigning the restricted free agent. The former fifth-round

pick will stick around after a solid run with the team last season. They picked him up from

the Philadelphia Eagles during training camp last year, trading cornerback, Jacorion Bennett in the

deal. Booker played in 17 games with 13 starts, racking up 44 tackles, seven quarterback hits,

but no sacks. At six foot three and three oh one pounds, Booker brings real size to the line.

He could slide in at five tech or nose tackle, giving the Raiders flexibility up front.

Now with new head coach Clint Kubiak calling the shots, former defensive line coach Rob Leonard

steps up as defensive coordinator. Leonard knows Booker's game well from last year and will help
