Raiders Sign Linderbaum: New NFL Record for Centers

The Las Vegas Raiders just signed Center Tyler Lindarbaum from the Baltimore Ravens to

a three-year deal worth $81 million.

That breaks down to $27 million a year, setting a new high for centers by $9 million per

season and topping any guards pay by $3 million.

The Ravens passed on using the franchise tag, which would have cost over $25 million,

so Lindarbaum hit free agency.

The Raiders jumped in with plenty of salary cap space and a big need along their offensive

line.

Fans and analysts are buzzing about his skills, especially after he earned Pro Bowl nods

the last three seasons.

He's elite in past protection too, allowing just five sacks over four NFL years despite

some early doubts.

His college days at Iowa were stacked with honors, including the Remington Award, as

the nation's top offensive lineman in 2021.

He was a unanimous All-American that year, big 10 offensive lineman of the year, and went

25th overall in the 2022 draft.

Lindarbaum's high school wrestling background has gone viral lately, including a famous

pen over future NFL star Tristan Werffs.

It adds a gritty edge to his story as he joins the Raiders.
