Rams Keep Davante Adams, Avoid Trade Shakeup

On March 16th, the Los Angeles Rams made headlines with a wild trade rumor involving their

star-wide receiver, Devonte Adams.

The 33-year-old led the league in receiving touchdowns last season with 14, but reports

surfers that the team wanted to move on.

Before a $6 million roster bonus kicked in, that bonus is now paid, locking in Adams

for his $18 million base salary this year.

He signed a two-year, $44 million deal with the Rams last March, and it looks like they're

sticking with him after all.

Fans and analysts were buzzing about the possibility, especially since Adams played a big role in

getting the Rams to the NFC championship game.

He kept up his streak of five straight seasons without a fumble, and stayed reliable, despite

not quite hitting 1,000 receiving yards.

Talks also heated up for a potential swap with the Eagles for AJ Brown, but those fell

through over the weekend.

With that off the table, the Rams seemed set to avoid any big shakeups at a wide receiver.

Now, the team is focused on building around Adams as they gear up for another strong

run in the NFC.
