The Los Angeles Rams made a smart, under-the-radar move by signing linebacker Grant Steward to a

two-year contract.

While it did not grab headlines like some other deals, it targets their week special teams

unit from last season.

Steward stands out for his excellence on those coverage teams, which could pay off big

Other reports peg the deal at up to $5,050,000, but full details now show a base value of

$4,400, $50,000.

He gets $3,500,000 guaranteed, including $1,800,000 right at signing.

Cap hits stay low at $1,850,000 in $2,026, and $2,600,000 in $2,027.

The Rams can easily exit after year one and save $2,450,000.
