Rashan Gary Joins Cowboys, Switches Jersey

On March 27th, Rashan Gary is on the move after seven strong seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

The defensive end put a 45 tackles in 7.5 sacks in the 2025 campaign, helping anchor the line despite the teams.

Late stumble, Green Bay shipped him to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason for a fourth round pick in the 2027 draft.

The Packers started hot at nine wins, three losses, and one tie, but dropped their final four games to N9 and 7 and 1.

That landed them the number seven playoff seed, only to bow out quickly with a 27-31 wildcard loss to the Chicago Bears.

Gary's path to the pros began in New Jersey high schools, where he switched numbers along the way, then shown in Michigan.

Drafted 12th overall by Green Bay in 2019, he settled into number 52 there, building a solid reputation on the edge.

Now in Dallas, Gary has to switch again since Guard Tyler Booker owns number 52.

He's going with number seven, a digit shared by Cowboys' greats like Randall Cunningham and recent standout Travon Diggs, who cross paths with him.

Last season in Green Bay.

This addition should boost Dallas's pass rush right away, filling a gap from their own up and down year, and setting up an intriguing new chapter four.
