The Tampa Bay Rays lose the series opener to the Miami Marlins 9-4. The Rays pitching let them down in this one. Taj Bradley started and went 4 IP giving up 5 earned runs. The walks hurt the Rays the most this game. Tampa allowed 7 walks including one with the bases loaded to help kick start the Marlins offense. The Rays offense continues to make strides. Highlighted by a 3 run 5th inning the Rays have now scored 24 runs over their last 4 games. Chandler Simpson had 3 hits leading the way for the Rays. The Rays will look to even up the series tomorrow afternoon.
