Morning, good morning, how? Morning, recovery people, everywhere morning Amish, morning God. Hey, Pep, once well, it is September the 5th from opening doors within. When you choose to do my well and walk in my ways, you have to do it whole partedly, no matter what it may mean. You have to take the rough with the smooth move when learning that vital lesson of instant obedience to my well. Only when you give or will you receive, in this spiritual life you cannot pick out all the plums and leave the cake. It is all on nothing. Many souls like to choose the parts in this life that appealed to them and to ignore those parts that do not comply with their base of desires. Doing so is not living a spiritual life. It is picking and choosing what you want to do, not what I require of you. You cannot expect

things to work out for you if this is your attitude. I need your total surrender and dedication before I can work wonders and miracles in and through you. Now that you know why not do something about it. I am so glad that I know what doing my well is and walking in my ways is, is if I was reading this book, I wouldn't know what God's well was for me. I might have a guess, perhaps at the 10th moment or something, but that is more religious than spiritual. But we know, don't we? We know through practicing the principles of each step is doing God's well to be honest.

I will find out if you are honest. What is that? The principles behind it. Honesty, hope, faith, courage and integrity, integrity, humility, willingness, brotherly love, justice, persistence, spirituality, service and then through an acceptance. So if you are practicing those principles in all your affairs, you are doing God's well. We have got a template to help us, anyway. There are certain laws, aren't there? Do and to others as you want to be done to yourself. True people as you want to be true to you. It just helps, isn't it? Having the alcoholic among us, frame work. It is funny, isn't it? There are a lot of people who don't know what God is doing.

This is a good well, God's well, God's passion, or a good passion. What is God's well? Be a good person, be a good person. Just be good. Just stick in there. Just stick in there in the God if you have got a problem with it. I am just trying to... Is it, are they godly words? Well it is, you know, it's interesting, they are like, they are talking about telling God to go fuck himself, you know, on its side there. It is a bit like that is what you are doing when you drink, you know, it is that fucking good, I am going to be bad. You know, that is what you are doing when you are in black hair, you know.

You are black hair and you get bad, but I am being certain. Even the most gentleist of souls that I have met have such, you know, their personality changes completely when I am in black hair. The language becomes different, the eyes become different, the posture is different, the aggression is... It is a demon. It is not worth taking that risk because if we have the gene that doesn't let us stop, then we are in trouble. We are headed for trouble. There is so much nicer, isn't it? It is so less nerve-racking to go out and be with it all night and not forget what you have done. You know, that is terrifying, it is horrible. And then you are second guessing everything the next day, oh my god, what did I do?

What have I done? What did I say? And then the guilt and shame leads you to another drink. Oh, and the bloody cycle that I am so glad that I am off, that answers to Will. So yeah, I will just continue working the programme so that I don't have to go back to that. Continue to do goodwill. Step 6. Step 6. We are entirely ready to have gone remove all these defects of character. This is the step that separates the men from the boys. So declares well of Clertraman, who helps to be one of A.A.'s greatest friends.

He was unexplained in any person capable of enough willingness and honesty to try repeatedly step 6 on his falls, without any reservations or whatever has indeed come a long way spiritually and is therefore entitled to be call a man who is sincerely trying to grow in the image and lightness of his own creator. Of course, often disputed question of whether God can and will under certain conditions remove defects of character will be answered with a prompt affirmative by almost any A.A. member. To him this proposition will be no theory at all. It will be just about the largest fact in his life. He will usually offer his proof and a statement like this. Sure, I was beaten, absolutely liked. My unwell power just couldn't work on alcohol. Change of seeing the best efforts of family friends, doctors and Clertraman got no place with my alcoholism. I simply couldn't stop drinking. I know human being could seem to do the job for me. But when I became willing to clean house and then asked a higher power, God has understood him to give me release.

My obsession to drink vanished. It was lifted right out of me. And A.A means all over the world. Stabments just like this are heard daily. It is planned for everybody to see that each sober A.A. member has been granted a release from this very obstinate and potentially fatal obsession. So in a very complete and literal way, all A.A.s have become entirely ready to have God removed and mania for alcohol from their lives. And God has proceeded to do exactly that. Having been granted a perfect release from alcohol is why then shouldn't we be able to achieve by the same means a perfect release from every other difficult to a defect. This is a riddle of our existence, the full answer to which may be only in the mind of God. Nevertheless, at least a part of the answer to it is apparent to us. When men and women pour so much alcohol into themselves that they destroy their lives, they commit a most unnatural act. Defying their instinctive desire for self-preservation, they seem bent upon self-destruction.

They work against their own deepest instinct. As they are humbled by the terrific beating administered by alcohol, the grace of God can enter them and expel their obsession. Hear their powerful instinct to live, incorporate it fully with their creator's desire to give them your life. For nature and God like a like a poor suicide. But most of our other difficulties don't fall under such a category at all. Every normal person wants, for example, to eat, to reproduce, to be somebody in the society of his fellows. And he wishes to be reasonably safe and secure as he tries to attain these things. Indeed, God made him that way. He did not design man to destroy himself by alcohol, but he did give man instincts to help him to stay alive. It is nowhere evident at least in this life that our creator expects us, fully to eliminate our instinctual drives. So far as we know, it is nowhere on the record that God has completely removed from any human being, all his natural desires.

Since most of us are born with an abundance of natural desires, it isn't strange that we often let these far exceed the intended purpose. When the drive is blindly or we willfully demand that these suppliers with more satisfactions or pleasures than are possible or dures, that is the point at which we depart from the decudy of perfection that God wishes for us here on earth. That is the measure of our character defects or if you wish of our sins. It is a bit religious, not that. Since... It is a God-sterbander. Just finding it a bit... Not sure how it is relating to your own conception of a power of greater than you when it is talking about.

I am not sure. These six and seven certainly seemed ridiculous to me when I was early and when I was in the first time I had, you know, that God has kind of removed my defy's character, you know, because I was just thinking well, firstly, you know, there was a good chance there was no God. And secondly, what I am perhaps doing, why is it that we bothered to remove my defy's character if he is there? When there is so much trouble in the world, you know, it is like, why would it... It just doesn't make any sense to me. And, you know, that... You get your own conception of a power of greater than yourself. And if that conception doesn't really align with the idea of interfering with my personality, you know, then these steps become some more problematic.

If you read them literally, however, if you look at underlying intention or requirement to be good person, you know, when we are talking about it, so I have looked at myself in form of, I have seen how selfless and considered a... Fearful. Yeah, and... What measures are I am going to take to help change my life? Yeah, you know, like, arrogant or, you know, goody-d, and you know, that we are minds, things have been like a kill term. And it's like, well, I need to improve. I need to... I don't want to provide to drink and then using. When I'm sober, I don't feel like being a dick is a march, you know, because I'm conscious of the fact that...

You don't know how many people like it. You know, I don't think I'm an idiot. I don't want to be thought badly. I thought that a lot of people admire to me or, you know, if those are okay, then thinking as a fucking prick, you know, a part being greedy. Selfish and considered, I'm kind enough, I'm intolerant. I mean, I'm just playing devil's advocate because, you know, I've got a faith. And what I've experienced is when those defects come back, I've got an epitome of God consciousness, my prod from God. And it just tells me that I've done something wrong because I feel dreadful. So I have to make an amend. So I don't... I don't think that they've all been removed, that I'm done with suddenly become a saint. I've got a way of saying that. And I think that is what helps me.

I think identifying them and recognising them in your daily lives and then trying to mend your ways and mend. And if someone is more, for me, realistic, then I'm going to suddenly pray and they're all going to go. But what I have got now is built in. You're doing these character defects. You know what you're doing. It's prod from God. Well, entirely ready to have God remove all these defects, a character. So this is the willingness and willing to improve, willing to accept that I need to behave better. And I think the talk about here, God removed obsession to drink, then they can remove the negative personality characters.

And I suppose if you look at it just simply from the point of view of, well, I don't want to drink anymore. So, whether you consider that as a result of an intervention by God or whatever is gone, something's happened. So, whatever happened in the, in the, to remove to make that change, you know, do the same thing, let the same thing happen, continue changing. So don't just leave a, I don't drink anymore. You know, expand the transformation to, you know, deepen into your personality. Well, I think if you're, if you're doing all of the steps, if you're passing all the principles and all your affairs, you're going to have that psychic change. The personality change.

But you have to do the work, you know, we've heard so many people that come in and they haven't changed. They haven't let go, they haven't surrendered. They don't do the work, they just don't drink. Yeah, they keep coming back, but they don't keep doing the work. And it's the, I was the mother of the Shulvaraya, and then actually, you know, the recovered, we are such recovered animals. And, you know, I thought about this a lot, you know, recovered is the past tense. And recovering is the present tense. And it's, it's clear, you know, the two upstairs requires maintenance work, you know, ongoing work. So if you, if you describe that work in the context of recover, recovering recovered, then, you know, I've recovered from this physical obsession, physical,

I'm a mental obsession totally recovered from that, but I continue to work my recovery. So the work recovering is also applicable. I can't say you can keep an effect spiritual condition. So I'm recovering. What do you just say about this, and I'm recovering. I'm recovering. Very grateful, recovering alcohol. You have to hear first folks. No, no, no, actually, no work. It's a bit confusing, but, you know, it's like, you know, at the end of the day, the, one of the huge anomalies in the big book, which is a fantastic book,

we bear them 12 and 12 in my opinion, you know, in terms of the power of it, you know, but the, there's half a fucking page instead of 6 and 7, you know, it's all for his opinion, and the first three chapters, instead one, one step, guess four fucking chapters, two steps, get half a page, you know, and it's kind of like, That's why I recommend drop the rock. Well, you know, I think step six and seven and the 12 and 12 was obviously another source of additional material. It's curious how they kind of skipped over it, and really did. I don't know, maybe they had this kind of concern that it would be off pretend, you know, because it does seem slightly bananas, you know, but, you know, God's been able to do very, very sick habits, you know, and it's just like, oh, pray, God, stop being a self-exhaustal, you know, and zap,

suddenly, you know, not a self-exhaustal. But you're, because you're perhaps Singaporeans, you know, you're picking up litter, you're helping others, because the very nature of the action steps, you become less. But it's, it's, you have to work the steps, you have to work the principles in your daily life. And if you don't, then you change backwards. And that's what they say, you start going through the steps backwards, you start cutting off your meetings, you don't find your sponsor. Oh, no, it seems like a good idea. It does seem like it doesn't cover from a hopeless state of mind and body. And then it's like, it's a daily routine. Well, for me, that's the mental obsession, and that's the physical prevang. Yeah. And that I have recovered from that. I don't obsess about alcohol at all, but my thinking is still alcoholic.

I still am praying to fear, my segments. And an overwhelmed person that gets stressed, that's why I used to drink. I didn't think if I thought I'd love to go now, but it calmed my nervous system. Now I have to have different tools to calm that down. You know, so for me, it depends on what you consider alcoholism to be. You know, I mean, I think it's my way of thinking that I stay from alcoholism and the relates to alcohol. It can't be the gizms. But there's a, you know, the kind of problem of the equal, you know, the equalism or selfism, addicted personality, you know, or some kind of psychological

programming, these are the kind of things that are affecting you. It's none to do alcohol. That's gone. The alcohol problem has been solved. But we're left with the reasons why we drank and the first. You've still got the personality issues. Yeah. And that's, you know, in the sixth and seventh is really about that. You know, the sixth and seventh is about walking on your mind. So do you think when it says we have recovered from mind and body, that means the obsession and physical cravings? It doesn't mean you're thinking. We're not recovered from our thinking. I don't think so. I think the, to some extent recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body. Right. So that's the body is, I don't crave alcohol. I don't have any kind of physical dependence on it.

That's all sort of doubt. And mind. I'm not thinking of a possession of alcohol. You know, that's been solved. But then the, you know, there's what to do on my mind still. You know, whether you call what you consider mind to be. You know, in terms of your personality or your soul, you know, or your consciousness, you know, it's a mystery to mind really. You know, there's, there's psychology and psychiatry and new ideology and all this. I think the, just kind of stumbled around in the dark. But without this program, then my fears and my resentments, if I wasn't working those on a daily basis, they are the leaders for the drink. So I haven't solved those. But what I have is a daily reprieve because I hand my girl over in the morning.

And I say, this is too much. You have it. I can't control certain things. You have it. And without that process, that I'd be in danger of picking up a drink. So I haven't solved. I haven't solved my thinking problem. That's why I'm what's it called? Recoverting. Recoverting. I'm a recovering alcohol. Recovering, Ed. And that's why I stay because there is an alcoholism for me as an incredibly short memory. And I forget what tools I need to do. And if I don't do these readings in the morning, I can go off thinking that I'm curious. I don't think we've made it. I've been going on and I've been told about that. It's made sense to me. Thanks. Thanks.
