Good morning.
From the Fairbanks Museum in St. John'sbury, this is the eye on the sky, recreational forecast.
The weather coming in fits and starts so no long-term spell of either rain or dry weather.
That means outdoor plans?
Well, you'll have to kind of play them by ear a little bit.
We've got some scattered morning showers, even a few rumbles of thunder, some isolated
freezing rain to the northeast, that all becomes spotty with breaks of sun this afternoon,
and at that point it'll be spring-like, upper fifties in northern border counties, south
into New Hampshire to about I-89, but in the 60s, west and south, along with a gusty
south and southwest wind up to 40 miles per hour from the Green Mountains west.
Tomorrow, a quieter day, temperatures will be a few degrees cooler, fifties and low sixties
with some breaks of sun, and then periods of rain it looks like for Sunday, Easter, temperatures
mainly in the fifties falling late in the day.
For the mountains today, the summits will start out in the clouds, showers of sleet or freezing
rain tapering off clouds lifting this afternoon, temperatures will be mild 50-55 at 4,000 feet
in the forties at 6,000 feet and west to southwest winds will be increasing 40-55 miles per
hour they may gust to 100 on Mount Washington.
At lower elevations, southwest winds also freshening 10-20 miles per hour, gusting to 45
miles per hour from the Green Mountains west.
I meet the neurologist Mark Brin with an eye on the sky.
