Good morning. From the Fairbanks Museum in St. John'sbury, this is the eye on the sky
recreational forecast. Some places on temperatures climbing into the 60s with some sunshine yesterday
a very spring-like day, although it held in the 30s across parts of Quebec. Today, a very
different story, we will see sunshine once again, but this time temperatures only in the 20s
north and 30s south, along with a gusty northwest wind making it feel that much colder. That sets
us up for a cold start to the weekend. We'll see temperatures in the single-numbers in teens
tomorrow morning will only climb to the 20s and 30s tomorrow afternoon in spite of some sunshine,
although there will be some periods of clouds as well. Sunday also some periods of clouds,
but a moderation in those temperatures in the upper 30s and 40s, part of a warming trend for
next week. For the mountains, it's getting later in the season for those downhillers. We still
have some winter-like conditions, though, coming up today. Early clouds and snow showers will
give way to increasing periods of sun. Northwest winds 30 mph, gusting to 65 on Mount Washington,
will diminish this afternoon. Temperatures will also diminish dropping to the teens at 4,000 feet
and dropping to 10 degrees at 6,000 feet. At lower elevations, northwest winds 10 to 15 mph,
gusting to 25, they will diminish to light tonight and then a light northwest breeze tomorrow
around 10 mph. I'm meteorologist Mark Brin with an eye on the sky.
