Of course, we're going to be talking about episode one today with a very special guest, brand new lineup, brand new tasks, same old Alex, same old Greg, very excited. It's going to be a brilliant series and we have a wonderful special guest today. The amazing Reese Cheers Smith, of course, former Taskmaster contestant, British comedy legend will be in the caravan talking to me about episode one of Taskmaster series 22. If you've not seen it, obviously go and watch it. I've get fed up of giving them spoiler warnings. Of course, you know, don't watch it. Don't listen to it until you've actually seen the show. So let's get on with it. This is Taskmaster series 22, episode one, as discussed with Reese Cheers Smith.

1:07Welcome back Reese to the Taskmaster podcast. delighted to be back. Happy to be back in the caravan. I am. Yeah, it's a bit hot. It's a bit hot. It's an iron bird and I was in my big coat. Yeah. But yeah, no, it's lovely to see you and be back in this little world of yours. We should say that even though this people will be seeing this in sort of September time, it's currently July. That's right. Yes, we're back in time, aren't we? And we are. We're knocking on for 27 degrees in the caravan. Yeah, but we're all used to that now. Yeah, it's fine. It's just our lives. It's just 30s. Yeah. 31, 32s, so we're all right. Before we started recording, me and Reese was stood outside the caravan complaining like two old men about the weather being too hot. Well, you say I'm encounter people that are just happy with it. Yeah. You like it a bit hotter now, but this is not normal. No, I'd say my ideal is 17 or 18. Yeah, agree. Yeah, 10 at night. Yeah, 10 at night. Yeah, I want to wear layers. Absolutely. Yeah, bring on the autumn months.

2:07Yeah. We're in it now. Yeah. Thank God. Yeah, it'll be September one day. Yeah. And thank God it's September as well because it's Taskmaster Series 22 time. Imagine that. Yeah. Yeah. What was your one? Nine. Nine. I should have been nine, side number nine. Yeah. To get it. Yeah. That thing I used to do, it seems years ago now that I remember that. Yeah, you should have done that. You should have done one at Taskmaster episode. No, that would have been yes. We probably Alex would never allow it. No. I remember on our live show, we got him on and I had him mocked up at Taskmaster envelope. And he wasn't crossed by that. That's a copyright. What is? You were some wax. Wax seals are now copyrighted. We were actually not copyrighted to you, apparently. Well, the seals come up later. He does get quite annoyed with one you can test about not knowing about the seals. Yeah. Episode one, always an exciting time. Brand new line up. I know. We've got Chloe Pets. We've got Izzy Suti. We've got Matt Lucas.

3:08We've got Nina Conti. And of course, we have Richard Ayowadi. What did you think of this line up when it was announced? I was amazed at the high colour of everyone. I mean, good peat. Not, I knew everyone, which sometimes I'd, in my old man way, whereas a new, funny person, and I resent them anyway, so I would never seek them out. So of course, I would never know them, because I have no interest. There is that saying about sending the lift back down. I jammed the lift, stop anyone ever, if there's any possibility, looking like there might even be on my tail. Get grease the faws, make them fall. It's amazing to think about all the potential talent that has been starting their tracks by you. Well, yes. It'd be a very different world. Yeah. If they all got through the next. But yeah, all really good people. I mean, some way you think, wow, they are going to, how are they going to be involved in a thing where there's four other people and them, Richard Ayowadi. Yeah. Is he going to play ball?

4:09Yes, exactly that. Yeah, because he operates on such a different, he's so particular. Yeah. But he's doing it. I mean, in the end, I thought, oh no, he's done it. He's pulled off, being remaining the thingy is. Yeah. And who knows what that is. But managing to still be funny in a world where Alex created Tasmaster for the opportunity for people to be their own funny in a quiz show's environment. And he said, it works. And it's sort of like testament to the robustness of the format. One thing I'm noticed about Richard so far is he doesn't seem to have made any effort to look the same on different task space. Yeah. So every task, he's got a longer beard, shorter hair. Yes. Completely different. He betrays the sort of magic of telling him being one thing and one time zone. Yeah. So he is. Yeah, he's completely like, it's like Hasterway. Yeah. It's like the version where he's working for FedEx at the beginning. And then suddenly five months on the island. Yeah. And there's just been an edit of one scene between. Maybe he just stayed here the whole time.

5:10He looks like he did. Yeah. Caravan someone. Let's talk about the prize task, the Drupiest Object. Yeah. What a way to kick off the series. Yeah, with an innuendo sort of, well, it's however your mind runs towards such things, isn't it? I think most people would think of a dripping opera. In the world, just say it. Yes. Do just got to say it. Just say it, a Drupino. Yeah. But obviously there's more artful ways of presenting a Drupino. Yeah. So, um, and will anyone rise to the challenge? Yeah. So it was interesting, yes, to see how each one approached. Chloe's was, I think, I like to, because it was magic. The magic wand, of course. Yes. And I, I, I, that even ran through my mind weirdly. The Drupiness of that as a, as a traditional thing is maybe a bit, and in some might say, a bit, bit, bit, first route because it was simply it. And it was quite over and done with quite quickly.

6:11But it was nice. And sometimes the tasks take a bit of time to explain. Yeah. But then also you are up against it because they tell you you've got to be quite quick in to say what it is. What I loved about it was that it, the first one, it was the first one that they did, and then they're up out there. See? Yes. They're approaching Greg. I know, yes. Very alpha, immediately showing some sort of dominance over the whole show. Absolutely, yeah, completely emboldened. Yeah. And when you think it was probably that, well, it will have been the first of the studio recordings, totally confident to just get up and like you say, go and approach Greg, the monstrous Greg. Yeah. And with a, and sort of waddling it in his face. With the holding it. Holding it around the criteria. For a certain area, yes. For more illusions to be made. As if any more illusions needed to be made. Yes, with a title, Drew P. Yeah. But I loved it and I loved their reaction to Greg's reaction to it as well.

7:14Yeah, like you say, a great way to kick off the series. And then we move on to Izzy. Yes. Who brings in O.T. Supern a pair of tights. I know. And for me, it was the best one of the lot. I enjoyed it. By jumping the gun. It was a lot to it. I liked the fact that there was a pre-film thing where she was on the ladders. Yeah. We saw the, the, the tights filled and stretching. Yeah. Properly being Drupi. It was a very funny look to see. And it was, I liked the fact she squeezed it, went down, squeezed down to the, yeah, to the gusset bit. And the backstory of the, of the X-mer. That's how you sort your X-mer. Yes. So I know of course. Yeah, yeah. It was, there was a lot to it, I thought. It was a very well constructed thing. Now, here's what I would say, I enjoyed it very much. Yeah. But when does Drup become flop? Right. Are you asking a 57 year old? Um, the Strup become flop. Just because there's, if there's so many oats in it. Did it flop?

8:14I don't think I've ever flopped. Yeah, but I imagine the tights full of white oats. Yeah. And you're holding it and it would just go straight down, wouldn't it? There wouldn't be, for Drup, I feel like there needs to be some support to it. So, you know, there's a lot of bend. Yeah. It's literally sort of on the wilt. Yeah. But these were hanging straight down. Yeah, there were straight down filled tights that were just being stretched more than Drup, actually it's shit. Yeah. No points. No points. No points. For me, that was the floppyest object. Well, you're a stichler, aren't you? I'm a stichler. Yeah, yeah. It's series nine. You will pull people up. You'd be worse than Greg. Yeah. I mean, I have, I have to be a stichler otherwise these podcasts would last 11 minutes. Right. Yeah. They would simply be me saying and then they brought that in and they brought that in. Yeah, we're just re-describing it all. That's right. But no, I did enjoy this. That's the worst kind of film critic, actually, when they just described the plot. Yeah. Uncommony critics. Yes. Just list the jokes. Okay, let me start it. Not that I remember. I remember, Edinburgh 97, a award-winning, periowinning show.

9:16Yeah. I remember word for word, the bad review we got, which was three stars in the Scotsman. And it began odd, odd, full stop. Here are three very well and it went on sale. Good, we worked then in completely damneders. Yeah. Odd. Odd, that was the worst. Who was the critic? Copstick. Not going to stick. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, remember Steve with it in Pleasant's Court, I would have picked with a Scotsman the day it came out when you're fucking joking me. Just show me three fingers, three stars. Three. Anyway, one of the peri8. But I'd imagine this was in a month where you'd already received multiple four and five star reviews. Yes, of course. It was across the board. So why did the three annoy you so much? Well, because what's that, I would rather have one or five. Three is nothing. Three is just, you drop dead, don't be all there.

10:16It's in the middle of the road and nothing. Yeah, no, I've had plenty. Some people might be happy with three. Yeah. You want to see me when I get a form, mate? At least my mind. Yeah, no, it's, anyway, that's another matter. Let's get back onto this. Yeah, and you don't even think about it anymore. No, it's not hanging over me every day. Going over it. Odd. Here are three very accomplished comedy actors. Anyway. It was, you know, it was. It was they completely missed the idea of the whole thing. It was like, oh, there's funny things and then they pulled the rug and it's horrible. Yes. It's League of Gentlemen. That's what it was. Anyway. Carry on. So she just didn't like what you did, basically. You could put it that way. Yeah, yeah. You could be put that way. Yeah. It was in a show. It was the taste. Yeah. Three is a good show. You've thought of that a long time on you.

11:17You've convinced yourself. Those are people who told me that. They're ringing around in the morning. Three is good, Ed. Three means good show. Three is good show. Put that on your poster and put bunch more together like five. Just can't see the gap between. That's a one to sit alive. That's a funny way to do it anyway. Yes. And then what do we have next? We had Matt bringing in a Drupi Drupi. That's right. Which I thought was good because when he was talking about the character of Drupi Drupi Drupi, I thought, oh, this is going to be very root one. But to take the stuffing out of it. Yeah. To create the double one-way of Drupi. Absolutely. I thought we should motor out with that. Drupi Drupi. Yeah. I was slightly know because I think, you know, don't be copying me with taking the stuffing out of stuff. Drupi Drupi Drupi. Yeah. Because I did that in series 20. So, you know, there are those that would watch it and go, well, this has been done. Yeah, it's been done. Yeah. It might be a Drupi, but it's the same thing. He did it with an owl. You didn't think that. I didn't think that. No. No.

12:17I didn't think that. Not when I did it. No one, don't even before and told me. No, but when you were watching Matt, you didn't think. Oh, no, I immediately thought that he's copying me. Yeah. It might well be a Drupi, but it's the same thing as my thing when I took this stuffing out of an owl head. I thought this was clever. This was something you were doing. It was a lot of things. It was clever. And also, what was surprising to me was, and we'll come onto it, was the allowance of Drupi. The right's issues, I think. Yeah. That's going to scupper him. You'll want to do it, but we can't do it. You can change your mind. Yeah, especially given Nenas. Well, exactly, yes. They weren't allowed to say. What's over it? They weren't allowed to say the name of the film. I don't know. We're not going to say it on this. I think we can say puns. I'm not going to say it on this. I'm not going to say puns. Anyway, yes. But yeah, Matt's was a good one. Funny. Yes. Funny and then extra funny with the idea of a Drupi who is really Drupi. Yes. Because the stuffing's gone. And he would probably fit your criteria of the Drup. Yeah, I think so. If you had an empty Drupi and you went along there, it would just flop there. Yeah, yeah, it would. And you go, yeah, it's Drupi. Yeah, that's Drupi.

13:17Good. Nena goes to the Drupi arse from the Pans Lover. From Pans Lover, it's a man with the hands. Yeah, the man with the hands. And that's good, isn't it? Because that Drupi arse is a very, I think it's in everyone's mind. Yeah. All the time. Yeah. Mine. First of all, sorry, I'll not that again. Yes, it's haunted me. Yeah. Never mind that and the hands and the fingers on it. That's fine, isn't it? That's enough. Yeah. Turn it around. What have you got? Yeah. Some sort of monstrous lizard ass. It really upset me when Greg said it's coming for us all. It really upset me. Well, because he put me in mind of seeing his, him like it. Yeah. Because he's probably like it now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the trousers down there just seeing. And he does a whole thing, doesn't he about getting his cousin or something to look at? He's piles of something in one of his acts, one of his terrible acts where he talks right to hell. I mean, give it a rest. Just go to a real doctor. Sort it out. Don't bring it into the public domain. That's such a funny complaint of a stand-up comedian.

14:18Why are you bringing this into the public domain? Yes. Get this sorted in your own time. Yes. No one wants to hear you. Come out and talk about it all. Is that what this is? Whoever said this is the contract? Yeah. I mean, it's better than coming out and doing crowd work for 45 minutes. Yes, it definitely is. I think there's a show being written. Yeah. Well, that's too much. If there's one complaint of yours. That can be good as well. Can it, though? Yeah, that can be good. And that's three stars. I am. Right. Now I know what your show is of course I've never seen one. No, you'd never seen one. No, I don't do that much crowd work. What is your comedy? What kind of things do you do? It's really humor, just really good. Is it just these observational things? I know all of these phones are... These phones. These phones, you can't press the buttons. Yeah. And I never had the thought either. No, no, no. I just go, he's the phone. So you've got to fill it in yourself. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we do all the work. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. Imagine that. Imagine what I'm talking about, I say. Yeah, it's good stuff.

15:18It could be a tin. Yeah. It could be a tin. Yeah. It could be a tin. Yeah. It could be a tin. Yeah. It could be a tin. Yeah. Yeah, I show everyone my Drupias. It's good stuff. Right. Three stars. Three stars, yeah. Yeah, gross, gross, I hope that. Yeah, horrible. I'm basically going to check my everyday for the rest of my life now. And if it ever looks like that, that's the end. Miracan traction. Yeah. It feels a little bit behind. Yeah. Yeah. It's not nice. It was like some sort of wrinkled bag pulled over a sausage meat. Yeah. Anyway, don't think about that. We'll be thinking about it. Yeah, a good thought that Dean's mind went to that. Yeah. It's very particular, isn't it? Yeah. Of a good example of a Drupi something happens to be monstrous things from a nightmare's ass. Yes. But yeah, I think it was good then to get the item itself still allowed with the cloth over it. Yeah. It was really that the hands were there, but it was a cloth over it. I only showed the ass. Yeah.

16:18I would say that... Why don't they were allowed to do it? It's self isn't Drupi though. It's a representation of Drup. Right. Well, you're being a stickler for just to add a few more minutes to this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But taking it down in another path. Yes, yes. I guess, I mean, is it Drupi? You wouldn't be happy with it. No. But I'm not sure you're right. I mean, define your terms. I think you're right about Drupi being wilting. Yes. More elongated thing that's on the turn. It's not more than just saggy, sagging, which you could argue is what was happening a little bit with the tights. Yeah, sag. Sag more than Drupi. Was it wasp or something? It wasp, yeah. This has happened before. Is it on the inside? Yeah. It's on the inside. You get them not as much in September, so it shouldn't be here. Yeah, you shouldn't get a wasp in September. Off you go, September wasp. Go on, out into the cold. Go on, September wasp. Well done.

17:19You acquitted yourself much better than Joel Dommit. I did, didn't you? He really panicked. Although he caught it in the end and kept it alive. Caught it? What? With the mouth? Yeah. It's written as mouth, yeah. Spat it out. Yeah? I want to put wasps and worms in a jar to see who would win. I was only a little. Do you know what? Wasps. Wasps one. But then they all died because I buried it. The whole jar. The whole jar. And then I got it out to see it and there were all those dead. I never really got an answer. I'm so glad you found comedy, Riz. Repeated experiment. I need to repeat the experiment. But not take it as long as I did before finding the conclusion. Did the wasps actually kill the worms? Yeah. They were all blistered and big. There's definitely a world where you could have been a serial killer. There's definitely a world where yes, it would have been. Yeah.

18:19Interestingly, I saw an article the other day that there are less serial killers because tests are capturing young people with the proclivities I had early. It's good. So they don't bloom into them. It's shame, isn't it? Yeah. Anyway. It's like how you stop budding comedians from... Yes, exactly the same. I mean, I'd rather have more serial killers than more comedians. Yeah. Any day of the week. Anyway. Wasps vs worms. Yep. I did. I was still only on these pricetats. Richard Briggs in a droopy blood. Yeah, I know. I'm not sure. Do you know what? To me, it was first route this. It also wasn't that droopy. He had immediately admitted it's not that droopy. And then he... Yes, I mean, there's comedy in his immediate switcheroo with... Yeah. ...it would be alright after watering it. Well, Greg said the same. But he's just thought...

19:19He's ready and gone droopy. Oh, plants sometimes get droopy. I'll do a plant. Yeah. And I wish he thought a little bit longer about it. Yeah. But maybe he doesn't. But I quite... It's always fun when someone's not as engaged in the premise. Yes, yes. Serious 20 Sanjeev and the little vials of pissing. Every single week. Yeah, I wanted to... And there's me toiling over to like haunted house until six weeks. And anyway, I'm not bothered. Yes, so it was fine. Quite funny that then he realised it was sort of nothing. Yeah, and didn't care. And didn't carry the work. Yeah. It was obviously one point for Richard. Two points for Chloe. Three points for Matt. Four points for Nina and five points for Izzy. Hi, Nina. Hello. Welcome. What have you brought? Part of a thing, because it's very droopy. It is a monster from a famous film. It's a bit of fan art, I think. It's the guy who has hands for eyes and droop for off. Have a look.

20:19Oh. That looks like my ex-mer. Right. We don't have the film rights, but we are allowed to show just the arse of the creature. It's coming to us all, isn't it? As you saw in the dress of it, it finds like a page. Yeah, nothing like that. If it isn't... No. Task one and the first task that they filmed. Right, it was, was it? Yeah, your first task is to put the golden apple on the golden plate. If the golden apple touches the ground, you're disqualified. Also, you must be handcuffed to Alex throughout. First, this wins your time starts when your hands are cuffed. Yeah, I remember. And we saw, I think, Matt quite quickly. I mean, all of them... It's funny watching them and thinking that was their first task, because you get that thing of... You suddenly realise at that point you're on taskmaster. Yeah. And you see it in their eyes, I think, a little bit.

21:19Yeah. And when they come in the room and they go, hello. And he's there and it's like, oh, this is the programme. I'm doing it. I'm falling into the telly. Well, Matt's first reaction was interesting, because he's never, he's never wanted to show. I've never wanted to show him. I was a little bit like him, but not as, not as complete. If it's true. Yeah. Do you know if he, he really hasn't seen it? I mean, I can imagine he hasn't. I wonder how the taskmaster nerds are going to react to this. Yeah. So Matt, having never seen it. I mean, it is funny. It's funny, yeah. I should have watched this a bit more. I'll take your word for it, sir. That Alex is so, so surety about him going, oh, this is nice, isn't it? Yeah. He's going to get the wax seal. Yes. He's funny, that position. So it's equal to taskmaster, then, to have it pointed out, he's an unusual person. And then the way he does the task by just finding a plate and then going, oh, yeah, there it is. So if you've never seen the show before, he must think it's the most boring show on the planet. Yeah. What is it? I just find that thing and then. Yeah. But how did he just go dumb on there's an apple?

22:19He's just, he's just, he's just, he's just in the room. It's in the room. Yeah. Which is something a lot of people do when they've not really seen much of the show. Yeah. And everything happens in the same room. Yeah, yeah. Why would you even think of it outside, like the Catherine Park and some of that as well? Absolutely. Me with Gun, get your own phone. Yeah. It's my telephone. I'm not listening. The thing with the phones, they're all the phones. Yeah. Where's the charger? Oh, I've left my charger. Can I borrow your charger? That's a good idea. That's good stuff. Tell me something like that. Yeah, yeah. You got around the room. Yeah. What charger you got? Can I borrow your charger? C port. 45 minutes. I could do it. Yeah, you could do it. Can I do a standout? Yeah. I wouldn't try and do it. I wouldn't write something, send you it. I'd say what kind of thing, what's my comedy? Well, if you want to do sort of broad observational stuff, I'd leave waspsy worms out of it. Right. Really? You were laughing at that. I was laughing at it, but I think. That's a terror. I think if you want to do sort of like relatable observational stuff, I think if you're

23:21a little observational stuff, I think if you said, you remember when you were a kid, you put loads of wasps and worms in a jar and see you won. See you again. Yeah. And then I'll be like, hands up. Half of you. Half of you. Right, split you down the middle. Your waspsy or worms. See you was going to win. Yes. It was amazing. That was amazing. You know, the edit was showed him doing it in a minute where everyone else took clearly and correctly longer. Yes. Because they did it so quickly. Yeah, it was nothing to him. Right? He said, he must have thought, what's this game? It's not a game. Yeah. There's a golden plate and there's an upper one. One minute, 37 seconds. Big extraordinary. Because I thought that I thought he was going to an edit where it looks like he'd done it and then he was going to take an hour. Yeah. No, just did it. Straight away. Extraordinary. Everyone else actually then goes to find the golden apple in the in the secret tunnel. Yeah. Some of them do. I will say Nina finds the plate, answers the phone, she'd, which is Rosemata Foea's voice.

24:26Oh, right. Okay. Series nine. Yeah. There was a big thing on our series where Ros talked about the she'd. Oh, right. We all made fun of her because she sounds different because she's from another country. Right. And that's allowed then. Yeah. Yeah. Could have all have a laugh though. Yeah. Different now. That's a she'd. Yeah. But now we can remember again. You remember it fondly in soccer subverted and put it back into the show. Yeah, it's a nice and ironic or thing. Yeah. She'd. She's Scottish. I liked that. I've been Greg said it was like a TV detective audition for TV detective. Yeah. Nina is very, I mean, Nina is such a unique personality. Yes. I'm really looking forward to seeing her. I am. Yeah. Some of the things that the way that she's approached them with seemingly no almost wanting that to not be preparation. Yeah. And giving herself that sort of absolute spontaneity that can be on a hairpin brilliant or full. Yeah. But you know, to have it in you to think that's the way I want to do it is brilliant, isn't it?

25:28Because it is sort of inspired when it hits. And that works for Taskmaster as well. Yeah. I think it's the clowning thing as well. I think she's quite into it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, great that she's done it without monkey. I mean, I've got a thing I've seen her without it on her arm. For years. Interesting. I wonder whether she asked us. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, um, and the Hopkins in magic, isn't it? Yeah. I'm not the puppet. I am a person. I'm tired. Yes, you are. But I know that when Nick Muhammad did it, he asked if he could do it as Mr Swallow. Yeah. All right. Did he? Yeah. He didn't want to be himself. Yeah. Which is why he dressed as Dracula for the task. Yeah. And now, look at him. He's everywhere. He's everywhere. He's himself. He's going to be self. Well, maybe get off the television. One time. Yeah. Now, it's just I want to be myself everywhere. Well, we don't want it. Yeah, that Nick. Yeah. Listen. Now, what he's realized is that he's charming, lovely person that obviously people want to spend time with. Exactly. And he's found a way of monetizing it. Yeah. And you're doing more stuff as yourself.

26:28I am. Yeah. Doing the whole thing about Bees and Moss. Yeah. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Um, Nina does find, does find the apple. She gets the apple, puts it on the plate. And Chloe spots the writing on Alex's back, of course, Alex has written, go to the shed on his back. This is a good first task, because I think it shows them that there's way around things. There's other clues to look out for. It's on the back of the task. Yes. It's on Alex. And I remember being in this world and finding that of real delights in a child light way that like there are tunnels and things aren't as they seem. And there's a bit there that looks like a door, but you can go through when there's costumes. Yeah. Sort of play pits for invention. And that absolutely does it, doesn't it? It's like you, and some of them, who was it, said it's like going into Nania? Yeah, is it said to be? Is this Nania? Yeah, and it's a lovely that there. And that's a new bit for this series, I think, isn't it? Yeah. And the Greek theme is great. I love that as an idea. So yes, it was charming to see the design. And then imagine realizing the golden apples from something Greek in it.

27:29Probably, yeah. I think what? But yeah. It sounds Greek. Golden apple, probably, yeah. Golden plate, golden apple. And could have Googled it. Yeah. Didn't. Not bothered. Nope. Chloe, just the way Chloe read the task. I know Chloe very well. Chloe supported me on two tours. Right. And we've done multiple escape rooms together. Have you? Yeah. And we're both quite competitive, I would say. And you could tell from the moment they opened the task and read it out, I was like, Chloe's not come to play. Yeah. This is escape room Chloe. Chloe's what was on the front foot with all of it. Yeah. Just in showing, I'm funny. Yeah. And I'm also just here to arrest the audience. Yeah. 37:48But the scroll... How did Chloe do? Chloe did very well. But took longer than Nina and Matt, obviously. Okay. Because Matt does it in one minute, 37. Nina does it in six minutes, 40. Wow. So it was not points for Richard and Lizzie. Three points for Chloe, four points for Nina, and of course, five points for Matt. Interesting. So I was thrilled that you bottled to look at the back of the task, and therefore you were straight away sore and you should go to the shed. Yeah. And you found a grabber, but you decided not to use the grabbing facility, just to use it as a giant snooker cube, really. When I was just saying one, two, three, it was like, I couldn't believe I was going to do it. And then I didn't do it. Surely she was fast. Was quick. Well, no, it wasn't quick. It was 14 minutes 42. It was slow, but was it acceptable? Was it acceptable for her to put a golden apple into a silver bowl with some coffee pods in it?

38:48You think you succeeded? Yes! Task two, the first team task, very early. Right, very early. Move this bed into the living room. You may not look at each other. You may only say words with one syllable for every stray glance. Scuffmark or extra syllable, a minute will be added to your time. Fastest fully made bed in the living room wins your time starts on the whistle. I would have got very frustrated at this one. Yeah, I almost felt like if I was in there, I'd have gone a cut-bother with this. Yeah. The idea of having to get the owl and the key, and undo the things and unravel the beds. Can we just skip and imagine I'm done it? Yeah. And Dad try and get someone else to do it. See, that would have been enough for me. It's all sting. Let alone not looking at each other and only using one syllable words. That's the one syllable words, isn't it? Yeah. And you realise it is because they're not on the intelligent people. Yeah. 40:55As fast as you can, regardless, and it still will be even added. And you do it so quickly at that point that they added minutes. A couple of minutes. Yeah. I once had to hire someone and one of them, apps where they come round and they help you do something. I couldn't get a chair. Yeah. It's really heavy chair for upstairs. And I was all alone. And I thought, there must be a thing in the world where you can... This can be sorted. Yeah. And I found this app. I'll come and help you do anything you want. And this man is magical. It's very strange that I did end it now. Yeah. But I texted the man and he said, and I was like, can you come... I've got a chair, really heavy chair that needs to be... I can't get it up the stairs. I need two people to do it. Yeah. Yes, I can be there in 25 minutes. And he just came and his man came in my house. And helped me with this really heavy thing. So you to me and got it upstairs. And then he went away again. I paid him some money. But he was like, do you need anything else? It's just a cup of tea.

41:55It's just a bloke as well. It's just a fellow. Yeah. But isn't that a weird thing? Yeah. You can just call upon someone. Is he just sat there? Just waiting for... He must be. Nothing. And so I just do chapters on these weird stories about a bumbled snowman, Jeff the talking mongoose, which you might have obviously know about, and high-gate vampires. So there's 40 of them. How has been four different rooms of the of the book, Ghosts Monsters, Human Anomalies and the Devil. So and then I talk about that. And the book tour accompanying the book coming out is from October the 4th. And I, I'm sort of touring some of the items and talking about them on stage. And so he's not bringing the devil with you. I could bring the devil. Yeah, he's doing the first half. I'm going to have him planted in the audience. Now then, it's so clear. Yes, what a flame. He's like the very very first black animal.
