It has been a very busy weekend. I have not slept right since I've gotten back to Los Angeles. Time zone difference. Fuck me up. Yeah, I did. And again, I'm not somebody who can typically sleep on the plane like so many other people. I envy those people. Yes. So what do we do? We watch movies instead. That's what we do. Now, did you embark on your Marvel movie extravaganza on the plane ride going and coming? I did. How many movies did you get through? I knocked out four of them. Wow. Yes. So I knocked out the first two Iron Man movies and I knocked out, what did I knock out? Thor, the original and the first Captain America movie. Okay. And I know people are like, well, why bother with Iron Man? He's not in the new, yeah, but before I get into the first Avengers, I want to make sure I'm

3:15all set on all the individual characters. And we're going to get into the Avengers movies and then we'll just kind of flesh out the rest as we go along. Now, how many more is that left for you to watch? Well, I've gotten different recommendations from different people. If I go by the list that Disney put out, I mean, I still have probably a good dozen plus left to go. I mean, there's a lot. And that includes the TV series, too. There's a low key TV series that might be a couple of seasons. So yeah, no, it's, we got a ways to go. I will say the first Iron Man, very good. I enjoyed that very much. Second one was good. It was not as good, but it was good. Thor was good. Captain America was good. But I think the first Iron Man I enjoyed the most. I was like Iron Man. Yeah, I was like Iron Man. Him and War Machine. Those were my favorites in the Marvelous Capcom games. Yeah, well, those were great games. Those were great games. They actually ported them over to Steam for PC.

4:17Yes. And I did. I bought it. It went on sale for like $5 of something last year. So I bought it. And it's got like a bunch like six games in one. There's like a Punisher game and then there's Marvel versus Capcom and all kinds of stuff. Spider-Man's in their Hulk. You know, everybody. It's great. One of my favorite arcade games when going to the arcade was that one for sure. I watched the Super Mario Galaxy movie. I did not like it. I don't know if you saw the first one. I did not like no, no, I didn't. I didn't see any of them. And I actually heard not great things about this one. No, the first one was good. The second one was that it is. It was a very boring watch. But that was my entertainment on the way going to Los Angeles and coming home from Los Angeles. I didn't do anything. I just listened to music. It was a quick, quick plan ride, quick and painless. You didn't plug into peacock and watch Obsessive. No, I did not. I did not. I have it saved up. I may be I may be doing that within the next week.

5:18So at the time we sit here next week, I may have some thoughts on those. Sure. Sure. Speaking of Los Angeles, Jason and I were in Los Angeles for House of Glory. Fall out from the Globe Theater. And it was a very good show from top to bottom. It's live on YouTube right now. And the show in its entirety is nearing by the time we finish with this week, it may well be over 70,000 views. So you guys kicked ass. Thank you very much for all that Kyle Fletcher, an amazing red Jason. I know you feel the same way. What a fucking match that was. I couldn't believe the work that both of those men did. It was certainly our honor and pleasure to call something as great as that. It's not only going to be the best match on the Indies all year. And I and I state that firmly. It may be one of the best matches that we watch all year anyway between any promotion period. So I know you you felt that when we were sitting there together doing that. What a tremendous match that was.

6:20Yeah. And again, first time ever, I know that match meant a lot to Kyle Fletcher. He talked about it during the week. He was really excited for it. It was a big week for him because he had just flown back from wrestling in Wembley. He had that great triple threat match with O'Cotton and T'Keshda. And they went in there and it was it was close to 30 minutes long. I mean, they had they were out there for a while. It was just a great back and forth battle. And again, you can kind of measure about the reaction of the people in the venue. And the people in the building were going nuts for it. And I think so were we. Yeah, and we were trying to do our job. But like it was it was just a great wrestling match. And something that both men should be very proud of. And in my personal like list of of match of the year, I'm not saying it's going to be match of the year, but it's definitely in that conversation of matches that I've seen this year. Yes, absolutely. So that match and the show is up on the on the hospital or YouTube channel in full. So go check that out. 7:20our next show in Chicago, which is going to happen all out weekend. So I'll let the commission just kind of briefly go over what we got going on there, where we will be so on and so forth. Yes, so that we get the pleasure of kicking off. What's going to be a very busy weekend in that city Friday night September 25th. We're going to be back at Logan Square Auditorium. It's windy city warfare tickets are on sale right now. H-O-G wrestling dot net. They're filling up. As we always do, we usually pack in that venue. It's just a great wrestling venue. I know other promotions run there as well. And so looking forward to getting back to Chicago. It's not too cold yet, right? So we've done the Chicago thing in January. It's not as fun as going to Chicago in May or September, right? It's a lot more tolerable during those months. So yeah, we've been to Chicago a whole bunch of times. And I know we have a lot of people who are fans of our respective shows or TNT, who usually come out for the shows as well. Jesse usually joins us.

8:21It's always good to see him. And we're going to have a lot of people on the card. Familiar faces from H-O-G, including amazing red, who we just talked about. Our crown jewel champion. He'll be there that night. As will Leo Rush, we just made the announcement. Our Cruiserweight champion. He will be there. JD. He. He. Whoever he is, he will be there. He knows. He knows. Oh, he knows. He knows a lot. And I know what some of the matches are going to be, but we're going to be rolling out those announcements in the weeks to come. Because it's just very sad and depressing. There was some other news that broke over. There was a very busy weekend in terms of wrestling stuff. We're going to be getting into some Sunday nights made events stuff a little bit later on. But we should talk about Andy Williams first. Andy Williams, the butcher. This was something that we heard on the way back from Los Angeles that night. And then it didn't really sound or look good Saturday night. Everybody made it out to be a lot worse than it was. And I was really hoping Jason was hoping.

10:24A lot of people hoping that it was just kind of, you know, not as serious as everybody was making. And then we woke up Sunday morning. And we got the unfortunate news that Andy Williams, the butcher, had passed away at the age of 48. He collapsed at the end of a match at enjoy wrestling's five years event at Mr. Small's theater in Millvale, Pennsylvania on Saturday night. He was teaming with the blade, his longtime tag team partner against TME, challenging for the promotions tag team championships. Now enjoy wrestling's set in a statement that doctors on staff attended him immediately and gave CPR until an ambulance arrived. And the promotion canceled the rest of the show sending everyone home and went to the hospital and thank those who helped. That's I didn't know that part until I just read it now. So that was actually a class he moves. I don't know how many wrestling promoters would have actually canceled the rest of the show. I'm glad that they did that. Williams and his tag team partner, but a team for years before AWU existed. And we're among the first talent in the company signed to 2019 alongside

11:27Ali now in TNA, the three debuted that November by cutting through the ring mat and attacking Cody Rhodes on the ninth episode of AEW Dynamite presented as hired guns for MJF. Man, that's a blast from the past. But your blade worked as a tag team for the company for years after that alongside Kipsabian. And they were one of the fixtures of the AWTK division in its opening few years. As far as his career retrospective Jason, he was 48 years old. His wrestling career, we just talked about that a little bit. Train by Josh Barnett, Pepper Parks and Mikey every night worked for promotions, including Empire State Wrestling, absolute intense wrestling, GCW, New York Wrestling Connection, Smash Wrestling. Obviously we talked about his beginning stages in AEW. He was also a founding member of every time I die formed in 1998 Buffalo, New York in a basement in Buffalo, New York. He founded that band alongside guitars Jordan Buckley and Michael Novak.

12:32They were one of the more inspirational and kind of flag bears for their genre of heavy metal called metal core. And he served as the band's rhythm guitars right up until their breakup in 2022. You know, I said this on my raw review, just briefly Jason, he lived two lives and most of us only live one. He was at the top of his game in the heavy metal genre. And he was actually a professional wrestler in his off time. And not many people can say that he did or they did two things as that in one life. He had the opportunity to do that. And he never held tag team championship gold with his tag team partner in AEW, but he certainly left a mark on both industries that outlasts really any championship or anything that pro wrestling has to offer. And with so many of the positive, positive statements that were put out by legitimately the entire industry. He made such a huge impact on everybody's life and you can't really put a price

13:33on that. So I know from from me and obviously from you thoughts, prison love to go out to his friends family and band and bandmates and anybody that was affected by his passing. Yeah, I mean, you could tell a lot about a person based on whether or not there is really nothing bad to be said. And I have not heard a bad word said about him, you know, over the last several days. You know, there's been a lot of stuff from, you know, fans and friends and colleagues in the wrestling industry and people maybe who knew him musically. Just sharing a lot of really like fun or funny stories, kind stories about him, but nothing that would that would, you know, in any way give you the impression that he was somebody that you wouldn't want to hang around, you know, or somebody that you wouldn't want to go have a beer with, although I don't think he drank. But the whole thing is just very just I guess the way it all played out and how sudden and unexpected it was. And then you consider how young he was, you know, only 48 years old. And like, you know, in one minute, you're doing what you love and I saw the video of his entrance

14:35when butcher and blade came out and he comes out there and he's like, he's really feeling it and everyone's into it. And then to think that, you know, a few minutes later, you know, it was all over. It was just so sudden. Really just kind of makes you stop and think, you know, maybe, maybe we don't appreciate the things that we have enough, you know, until it's too late. So I was just very sad for all of his friends and family. I don't think we've heard from from the butcher. Maybe he'll be, you know, making a comment tomorrow. I know we have this rebel heart episode of Dynamite tomorrow, which all of a sudden, you know, kind of becomes this secondary tribute in a way to him. And I'm sure there's going to be a lot of very, you know, emotional people at the show who work with him and more friends with him and because he was part of AEW up until this past June, you know, they were there for good six years. And somebody had asked me the other night, you know, is there like a a match of theirs that stands out to you because they never held the tag team titles in AEW.

15:39But there was a match that stands out to me, which was, I don't know if you remember this, but this was probably six years ago during those pandemic era shows where they had a, I want to say it was false, can anywhere, but it was some kind of match like that with the young bucks. And it was the night that Eddie Kingston came out and made his debut and he wrestled Cody at the beginning of the show. That's part of the reason I remember it. And I remember that being a really good match, like a really fun match. Maybe it was their best match, honestly, in AEW. But just what I remember about him isn't so much of the match, like specific matches, though, it's his look. He had such a unique look compared to anybody else today in wrestling. And I couldn't really, he reminded me so much of somebody and I couldn't really put my finger on it. And then somebody mentioned him the other day, they mentioned big bully, but I don't remember. I don't know if you would even know who that is. It was this very short live gimmick in WWF in the early 90s. And he would come out, he had like this, this like handlebar mustache. And there was something about that guy that reminds me

16:41of the butcher, but the butcher is like, he's a bigger guy and his mustache is a lot busier. But that's kind of who he reminded me of. I just looked them up. Yes. Oh my God. You see it. You see it. Right. Okay. I'm not crazy. You see the similarities between them. Only obviously, you know, Andy Williams was far more talented because not only was he a pro wrestler, but as you mentioned, he was a musician. The thing about that though, like he, he initially started training to become a wrestler. He was like 18 years old and he started his wrestling training. And then he, he tore his ACL. And that's how ultimately he ended up forming every time I die and got into music. So wrestling was really his first passion. And then he was able to give back to it. And he was, he was doing both, you know, he was a very gifted guy, very talented guy in that regard. There was a video that popped up on my IG timeline, I opened, literally opened Instagram the other day. And the first thing that popped up was a video that he had just done, maybe a day

17:41or two before he passed away. And he was in the basement somewhere with some bandmates. I don't know if this was a new band that he was a part of. He was still doing music and still working on stuff right up until the very end. For a lot of people, it's going to leave a void obviously. Just a very sad situation and unfortunately not the only wrestling death this past weekend. Now I don't have much on on build on these. I'll leave you with that. Well, yeah, just just just a sum up real quick. It's just the way it worked out was when I did the sound off on Sunday. Build on D passed away that morning. So I come on and do my show and all of a sudden I'm talking about all of this horrible death and stuff. Build on D. He was 82 years old. Big legend in the Memphis area. Not someone that I grew up watching.

20:52I became more familiar with him in later years and reading up and looking at stuff on YouTube and whatnot. Probably the greatest rival that Jerry Lawler ever had. And they were also tag team partners and tag team champions together. But they feuded. They made a lot of money. They sold a lot of tickets. It was a big, big thing in Memphis wrestling. And then the famous Tupolo concession stand brawl back in 79, which is a famous match. So that really is what he was what he was known for. And I know he had some health issues in recent years. According to his son. But yes, he passed away. I think it was 330 in the morning on Sunday. So it was like right around the same time that all of this stuff was happening with with Andy Williams. And so it might be overlooked a little bit because of that because obviously that, you know, the other story made headline news on TMZ and everywhere else. But I just wanted to point that out that there was more than one wrestling death. Unfortunately, this weekend. Yeah, it's never easy to talk about. But we just wanted to briefly mention both Dundee and Andy Williams and thoughts and prayers to both of their families, their friends.

21:58Unfortunately, there was another passing today and it has to be mentioned because, you know, you got two huge animal lovers here. And I'm sure a lot of you guys watching us as well. Which makes it very weird to me that Randy Orton said this two weeks ago when I had a promo. And then all of a sudden now and it's a reality. Cody Rhodes posted today on Instagram that his beloved Farrow passed away. And I read some of what he put on Instagram. I won't read the whole thing. It's on his Instagram page. But I did tear up because I know both of us had had, you know, pets that have passed and, you know, it's just a very difficult situation that one usually never gets over. He said that and I'll just read the end here. I scroll back through my old pictures and there he was with Liberty, his daughter. Almost every early photo. He's just peeking into frame or right beside her or sternly looking through the lens. His job was to be with her. Maybe he wanted to protect her. As I said, he needed a job. When you watch Game of Thrones one night

23:00late on TV and decide you want a little wolf pup, it would be fitting to say your watch has ended. But I'd rather say the last thing I told you before you went to forever sleep, you did your job. We love you. I know that's probably, I mean, that's, I don't want to know what those two, you know, Brandy and Cody and the whole family in fact is thinking about that. It's just a devastating loss. So again, my thoughts, Jason's thoughts, prayers, love to the Rhodes family. That's that's never anything easy to get over. I get shocked. I'll be even just thinking about it because I got a book on his ashes just looking at me right on my wall there. So well, yeah. And if you think back to last year, you know, when when punk and AJ lost Larry the dog, I mean, you could, you could just tell even watching like unreal. Yeah. Like how, how much it affected him in particular, you know, where he can, he could barely even like talk about it because he was a rescue. And so, you know, they were together. He was part of the family, you know, for so many years. And then when you, when you lose that companionship, it's, I don't know that you can really understand it

24:05unless you have been someone who has had pets before. Yeah. I think you, you understand like what a sad thing it is. But I think until you are actually in that situation and have lost a pet, like it's, it's a pretty devastating thing. Yeah. So I was, I was very sorry to hear that. I, yeah, the Randy Orton thing is very weird. I can only imagine that maybe, and I don't know what led to this or did even mention how old Farrah was. No, no, he just mentioned about the dog passing and then having to bury him in the backyard like. And then all of a sudden two weeks later, he's gone. Yeah. So I mean, I can only imagine maybe it was something that Cody, you know, told him he was okay. You might want to mention this too. I don't know because that's very eerie. It is. It's just very, it's a very eerie thing. But yeah, I don't know how old Farrah was. I know, I think it was a couple of years ago at Summerslam. Farrah made his final entrance. And I think that might have been when Cody wrestled solo. And he came off the tour bus and Farrah was there

25:07and he's walking with the dog and Arn Anderson was standing there and Cody hugs Arn. But that was like Farrah's last entrance. He was, he was retiring because I think he was getting older and he didn't want him to bring him on the road anymore. So I know he was older. I just don't know how old he was, but they never seem to live long enough. No. Cats, dogs, I mean, they just, they're not around long enough. No. Thoughts and prayers out to the Rhodes family. And, you know, it's just tough, just tough. Love your pets. Give them a big hug today. Smackdown. Let's go to Smackdown. I did watch Smackdown on the plane ride back from Los Angeles. And I regret that I wasted two hours of my time on the plane watching this garbage on Friday night. I know a lot of people were kind of tweeting at us, hey, look at what happened. Johnny Gargano woke up from his sleep. I'm like, oh, really? That's, that's great. I got tipped off, obviously in the week. I'm sure Jason did as well that the show was taped and, you know,

26:07that this was going to be a thing on Friday night. But I have, I have, I avoided it. I had no idea what was going on. I was like, I'm going to go into a blind. And then I waited on the flight home from LA. I used my VPN. Yeah. I went into Netflix. I was still at the hotel. So I was able to download it in the Netflix app. So I had it downloaded offline. Oh, see, I got to do that next time. I was I was streaming it on the plane and it was buffering every fucking 15. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I was like, no, no, no, let me, let me, let me download it directly from the Netflix app to or into the Netflix app. And then they cut out all the commercials. So the video itself was like an hour and 20 minutes. And so I just zipped through it. And there was really nothing of any great substance on the show outside of the main event because we had this unannounced match for the WWE Championship. And it was a very good match. It was Johnny Gargano and Cleveland. So of course, he got a great reaction and even better than that. Did you notice what he came out to the ring to? Yes, he came out with Rebel Heart. Rebel Heart.

27:09Yes. So it was good to hear the old NXT music. And it was good to see Johnny Gargano actually wrestling, which is amazing. A professional wrestler going in the ring and wrestling instead of planking on a crate for six months. Yeah. So they waited until they were in his hometown, I guess. That doesn't justify six months of this nonsense. Well, it also doesn't mean they had a plan for this either. I mean, if it wasn't in Cleveland, I'm sure they would have continued the fucking planking on the crate backstage for another three months. Yeah, I mean, probably, but they had a very good match. Sammy Zane is just pissing everybody off. He's made it very clear. If I can't have nobody can, although in this case, he was trying to help Johnny. And of course, it didn't work and Owens came out. This is real like this group right now at the top of the card on SmackDown that is laser focused on getting a championship match punk is the champion. But then you have Owens, you have Zane, you have Gunther, and you have Baller. And they're all kind of circling and they all came out. They all tried to get their hands on Sammy. And in the end,

28:12it ended up costing Johnny who was distracted by all of the nonsense that was going on. And he ate a GTS and punk, of course, something come on. Punk retains the championship. And we're getting another title match back to back weeks because they set up a title match for Mexico City this coming Friday where punk is going to be defending against Sammy Zane. So punk hasn't been on SmackDown for very long, but he has defended the title on television. Well, this is going to be what title defense number three, yeah, I believe Owens and now Gargano and then Zane on Friday. Three, yeah, three title defenses in what is going to be about two months and not bad. No, that's what that's what you, I mean, I don't really care to see the title defended that many times on TV. I mean, once, once is all right, obviously. No, no, I look, I'm not saying it should be defended every week, but it's a nice change of pace. If they want that I have him defend the title on TV once every other month, I'd have no issue with it. No, I mean, I mean, it's obviously compared to Roman Reigns who's wrestling for the first time all year on TV on Monday against

29:14the first. Yeah, well, this title defense that he has with Pentanex week is the first time Roman's defended a belt on television since Matt Riddle. That was four years ago. That was a little while. That was a great fucking match. It was. It was a great match, but it was a long time ago. I mean, fucking four years ago, do you think that this now ends Johnny Gargano sleeping on crates and he's going to be back on television in someone of a meaningful role? It ends him being on crates. I mean, it would make sense for him to go back to doing that. Is he going to have a meaningful role on the show? No, I don't think he's going to have a meeting. He may have a role on the show. I wouldn't call it meaningful though. This is not going to be the start of some renewed Johnny Gargano push. That's what you're asking me. Do you think this has possibly anything? I don't know. Do you think this possibly has anything to do with maybe his contract expiring and WWE wants to retain his services so that he doesn't join Champa over a W. No, I don't mean I don't know when his contract is up, but I don't think this what we just saw has anything to do with it. I mean, eventually he was going to have to come up off the crate. If his contract was ending

30:18imminently, he would not be on TV. That's the thing. I think there are people who think that Gargano's contract is unless it's been confirmed somewhere that his contract is up in like October or November. I've never read anything like that. Why would they have him on television every week? They took Ilia Dragunov off television in April. His contract wasn't up until like August. So it doesn't make any sense to me if his contract was coming due imminently, he would not be on television. They wouldn't have him on a crate every week and people interacting with him. They wouldn't have him in the ring would see I'm punk having a competitive championship match. So that tells me he's not going anywhere anytime soon. Maybe not until next year. And even then, I mean, there's no guarantee he's going to leave. So I don't think this had anything to do with his contracts that is I think they said, hey, we're in Cleveland. This is as good a place as any to get him up off the crate. Do they have a plan for him beyond this? I mean, they may do a match with him in Sammy at some point, but I don't see him getting some sort of renewed meaningful push on this show. I hope that he is featured at least on TV. I think TV is

Are you pleased with the way they kind of ended this out of nowhere? Or did you want something a little bit more with what they gave you and how much time they invested in sleeping on the crate back. It's I don't care. I mean, this was never going to have some great payoff to it. No. So what did they do? The payoff was that he got a WWE title match with CM Punk. What else could they have done that would have been better than that? Nothing. So I wasn't I wasn't expecting anything. My expectations for this were very low. You don't know my expectations were my expectations were that he's going to continue to lay on the crate until one day he'll just disappear. And then maybe he will leave and that'll be the end of it. I think because they have over the last few months set up, hesitate to call it a relationship or a friendship, but Sammy Zane has been interacting with him and Candace a lot. He'd just go up to Johnny Lang on the crate and like vent like Johnny was his therapist or something. So they kind of telegraph this. And I think it just the reason it happened is because it just ties into what Sammy Zane is doing. Yeah. Yeah. That's the only reason. I don't think I don't think anybody lobbied for this. The other thing that happened, then this is what we'll end with what's Smackdown. The Miz in Kit Wilson, they wrestled the new team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Kiyoki. This is the former Hiromu Takahashi. They are now known as Bokzai. Bokzai. Bokzai.

33:35What you are more familiar with Takahashi than I am from his new Japan days. What did you make of his debut on Friday night Smackdown? I thought that he was actually very entertaining. I enjoyed the back of forth with him and the Miz. I feel like this team might actually get over if he is going to be as energetic and as colorful as he was on Friday night. So what did you make of his debut? I thought it was fine. I think he gets it as far as and he's probably been told by Nakamura. I'm sure Nakamura kind of schooled of on how things are done here. What you need to do to really make yourself stand out, what they look for, he's a charismatic guy. So he makes these weird faces. He seems like the crazy guy and all these mannerisms. That is what will help get him over. So I think he kind of understands that. He didn't, I mean, in ring, he didn't do anything that was out of the ordinary or anything. The one thing that I actually wasn't happy with is that new finish that he used, which I think is not a good finish. He has a finish called the time bomb. I would hope they let him use it.

34:40Now it's only one match. So maybe he just didn't use it in this match and it's not a case where they told him not to use it. Hopefully he'll stick with that as his finishers. I wasn't really discovered top rated stays loved by guests rated highest by real guests throughout than to produce. Verbo. Book of vacation rental loved by guests. You know, impressed by that. But otherwise, I thought it was fine. You know, when it was over, we had the MFTs come out with Haku and they stood there and they held up their belts and these guys have been together for one match and already they're probably getting the tag team title match soon. So I think he'll do fine as far as the tag stuff is concerned. I mean, there is potential for him as a single though, right? The tag team stuff will only go so far in this company because we've talked at Nazim about the tag team division or the lack of one. So I think at some point, I would say we have to get Darrell the cat.

35:42Now, I don't know if you noticed on social media, people were wondering if you know, did you not bring Darrell with you and he posted a photo of him holding Darrell the stuffed cat. So Darrell made the trip from Japan to the US. I guess Darrell got his work visa. So he's around at some point that gimmick it's silly enough that I think it will get over. I could see him doing stuff where he's bringing you know, Darrell the cat out. They start selling that on WWE shop and he'll probably be a comedy character. I think that's probably the role he'll end up settling into honestly, like in the long term. Well, I fear that's where we will go with that, but I'm willing to give this a chance right now. Hopefully they do something with the tag team division, not holding my breath on that, but they did not look bad as a team on on Friday night. So that is coming for sure. Tag team title match on Friday and that was basically all of Smackdown. Again, just a miserable watch of two hours outside Johnny Gorgano, CM Punk and that loaded WWE championship title picture Saturday or Sunday, Sunday nights main event. Saturday, Sunday is

36:50all the same shit. Sunday nights main events we had on Sunday. I thought was a easy, easy two-hour watch. I thought it was largely better than Smackdown clearly. And I thought what they did was to me, I would give it a thumbs up. Now we did get a pretty show match on Sunday with Dominic Mysterio against Joe Henry, Dominic one as he should because he's wrestling this weekend and defending the dripple. I make a championship. I think everybody just kind of over Joe Henry in this judgment day nonsense. It's not funny. It's not funny. Did you, what did you make of the Funko, the Funko Pop had on Monday? Did you laugh as I told I was a miserable human being because I didn't laugh at this clearly not funny joke? I mean, I thought the little video they did, it was mildly amusing. It's more in line with the sort of thing Henry was doing in TNA. Back then he would write songs about his opponents. I know he did it with AJ Francis, but he probably did it with a whole bunch of different people just like mocking them and he's very creative and that's kind of what

37:51helped get him over. We haven't seen him do anything like that on the main roster. So if we get more videos or vignettes like that, and this one wasn't great, but like more stuff like that would be a good thing because that's more than they've done with him the entire time he's been on the main roster. And I know he still hasn't gotten a proper entrance by the way on TV now he did. I believe and I came into it late, but people told me he got a full entrance on Sunday on peacock and that's great, but as far as TV as far as Monday night, raw, he's still to this day for all the months he's been up on the main roster has yet to get a proper full entrance. So the street continues. Hopefully at some point he'll be able to do that and they'll play the music right from the beginning and he'll make his way all the way out to the ring and not during a commercial break. So I didn't hate the video. I mean, when Javan came out with the giant head and you know, headbutted Dom and Dom sold for the giant Funko head, I'm like, all right, this guy's defending his title against Elgar on the Americano next week. And maybe maybe don't have him take a headbutt from a giant Funko

38:56head less than a week before. Sure play. Try to get his last shots in there before he says them doubt to Mexico. That's in the main event of triple media. Like what are we doing here? This is ridiculous. Oh my God. Anyway, that was the pre show on Sunday night. Main show started with Cuevo, Jason's favorite hip hop artist. Oh yeah. Doing a live performance on stage. It lasted, thankfully, only two minutes. And he was out there with a shopping cart full of money and he was doing whatever he's got to do. So it was not as over the top as we expected. To be two minutes in and out. But then it comes a little yaddy. And he's got a five minute challenge, beat the clock challenge, five minutes with Baron Corbin. If yaddy survives for five minutes, Trick Williams gets an immediate United States championship title match. Now I was ready to shit all over this. I'm sure you were you were ready to shit all over it as well. But I keep it open mind about everything. All right, man. Me not so much. But especially with WWE now days, but I got to give yaddy some credit here. This was entertaining. The crowd was hot.

40:01And he didn't fuck up in there. He's not he's not Logan Paul or bad bunny by any stretch of the imagination. But he went out there and he he was given a small role. He went out there and did what he had to do. And Baron Corbin looked like a geek for not putting him away after two end of days. He opted for a superplex off the top rope through a table, which back fired on Baron Corbin, which then led to Trick Williams getting a title match. So I'll stop there, Jason. What what do you think of Lilliati and Baron Corbin for the five minutes that it was? I mean, it was what it was. I mean, you probably liked it more than I did. It was it was okay. It was okay. I mean, look, the the crowd was into it enough. The thing about the best thing they could have done was put that five minute time limit on it because it gave it a sense of urgency instead of just sending them out there to have a wrestling match. So that helped. But when it was over, it was like, all right, we got we got the the slop out of the way. And now we can get an actual, you know, championship match and actual wrestling match trick came out and then we transitioned

41:02into the US title stuff. Yaddi didn't have a whole lot to do. They kept it very limited, which is good. What he did was okay. It was fine. I have no interest in seeing him in the ring ever again. No. But I'm also like, I'm watching Raw last night. And I'll mention it now because I don't think we're going to bring this up later when I do in a full raw review. But we had we had Jackie Redmond interviewing Matt Matthews, who was in the front row. And I'm like, I'm looking at this guy and I swear like at first, I thought like Seth Green was in the front row. I go, why is Seth Green back on Monday night, raw? And then I'm like, Oh, that's not Seth Green. No, no, no, no relations to Corey Matthews or Eric Matthews. No, no, or buddy Matthews. So he's in the front row and apparently, so he's, he's introduced as an Alabama comedian, which we'd explain why I don't know him. And they said, now evidently, he is famous for doing farm themed videos on TikTok.

42:02It's got like eight million followers on there. And I guess he started doing them during the COVID shutdowns and it's farm themed. I don't even know what that means. Maybe he's milking cows. A K A. Brayrot. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I just not familiar with him. Maybe is he milking cows as he, you know, chasing chickens. I don't know what he does on there. But this is what he's famous for. The Miz and Kit Wilson come out, which makes no sense, of course, because they're on Smackdown, not that that matters. They come out. And this was all just an excuse for them to drag him over the barricade, throw him in the ring. And he ends up being laid out by a skull crushing finale. But before he does that, he, he executes a tilt a world head scissors to Kit Wilson. And I'm just like, I'm watching this and we're 24 hours removed from me sitting here watching Lil Yachty do a, a fucking her can run it to Baron Corbin. And I'm like, can we, can we not constantly just

43:04tell people how easy it is to be a pro wrestler and how easy it is to get in the ring and do all these amazing, but like anybody can do it. Lil Yachty can do it. Matt Miller or, or Matt Matthews or whatever, fuck his name is he can go in there and do it. Like I didn't need to see that on back to back nights. That was, that was a little much for me. Well, what, what was the whole fucking, why did that segment need, need to be integrated into the show? What purpose did it serve? Outside of TKO needs another one of their celebrity buddies on Monday. He's a celebrity. He's a, or an int, oh well, I mean, an influencer, whatever you would call him. And they love it. And he's a wrestling fan. He said, I'm an attitude error baby. So I don't doubt that he might be a legitimate wrestling fan. And I don't know who put the deal together. I don't know who reached out to who first or how this came together. But if, if it's a celebrity or an influencer, they want to do business with you. It doesn't matter how big or small you may be. Now I did notice and I don't think this aired on Raw, but I saw some, I saw a photo of it that apparent.

44:07So maybe this happened during the commercial break where, Braun Breaker had come out right after for his match. And I think he speared him in the ring. Yeah, I didn't see that. I heard about that. Yeah. Yeah. So good. But um, I'm sure sure that clearly Jason's on a fan of Dave Matthews. Oh, I'm a Matt Matthews. I'm sorry. That's the musician. I'm sorry. Right. Right. Yes. That would be an actual slurry. So yeah, I just a bit again. I didn't need to see that on back to back nights. That was, that was too much. I don't know. The WWE is looking less like a wrestling promotion week by week. So I've always said, look, and especially what we saw earlier this year with McAfee and then jelly roll. And it's like, it really like this era of WWE under TKO. It's like fantasy camp where anybody with a name can come in and they can do all these moves and they can, you know, be part of it. And if you're a legitimate wrestling fan, I'm sure it's a huge thrill. Right. Like if I were in their shoes and somebody came to me and said,

45:10Hey, do you want to do something on raw? I'm probably not going to go, no, I'm going to be like, what'd you have in mind? Right. Because that would be pretty cool. So I'm not even faulting them for doing it. But the idea that they would collect all these people and constantly bring them in, it just comes off as fantasy camp where anybody with a name can just come in and get to play wrestler for one night or, or maybe a pay-per-view match or, or, you know, I mean, in the case of jelly roll, he was doing multiple segments on smack that every single week. He was cut promo, he was doing all sorts of stuff. So that's how it comes off. It comes off as fantasy camp. They have these baseball fantasy camps so you could pay like thousands of dollars for like three days to go play, you know, baseball and that's what this feels like. Except we sit at home and watch this on TV. Yeah, and it's taking several several TV minutes away from people that have not been on TV. I'm looking at you Carmelo Hayes in several weeks. It's where he been. He's got one foot out the fucking door. Apparently, I don't know what's going on. He's, well, his, his fiance is going to be on TV on Monday.

46:12Yeah, that's kind of random, isn't it? Yeah. She just won the NXT championship and I look, I look up, I see the graphic. I go, Oh, I mean, I knew I kind of think that that takes a little bit of the thunder away from Lola because Lola's just been called up from NXT. She's making her debut and now they're just throwing in another NXT name in there. Well, I don't know. Maybe, maybe, maybe Vince and his spirit is background in the show because I don't know who takes the pinfall loss in that match. I would assume Lola's got to win her debut, right? You got the Intercontinental champion and Rakell Rodriguez and then you got the NXT Women's Champion and Kalani Jordan. Who do you pin? A champion's getting pinned in that match of Lola's got to win. I don't know. Well, yeah, they could pin Rakell if let's say Stephanie gets involved and gets revenge for Rakell getting involved in her title match last night. I could do that. That sounds like a triple H special right there. We'll figure that out on the doing triple three qualifiers. This is a triple H special. We should not be surprised. Triple is in his name. So he loves doing

47:12these three way, four way qualifiers. We don't get singles qualifiers in this company anymore. No, no, I don't really mind them for money in the bank for like a king of the ring tournament is when I do mind it. I think it's ridiculous. But yeah, that's happening on Monday. Trick Williams won the United States Championship here from Baron Corbin. I thought this was a solid enough match, Jason. I thought this was the best of the three matches they had. I know it would have been comical if Baron Corbin won over trick again for a third time. Obviously we've seen him with the furry belt and why he didn't shave it. He had to reset. He was going to give it a buzz cut or why they didn't just go back to being Baron Corbin the usual regular United States Championship. It was always meant to go back to trick Williams. So from top to bottom, I mean, this got a good 20 minutes mixed with the little yachty stuff and the entrances and all that. I thought this was probably as far as what these two guys did, the best work that they've had together of the three matches they had. This was the best of the bunch. That's all Jason has to say about that. That's all I have to say. That's always got to say. Otherwise, I was very nonplussed.

48:13So we go to the Oba and Bronn Breaker match, the future of WWE one on one Paul Heyman did the ring introductions and he handled that for both Breaker and Femi. This was very good. I wouldn't say it was great, but I thought what they did for first time out there together on the May roster. I thought was very good. Obviously there will be more. These two will be linked for a very long time for many years to come. This is going to be something that is going to be like a fight forever type of deal with these guys. And I'm assuming that the next time we see it and I said this on my and the next time we see it, they'll be a little bit more seasoned. They'll be better off for it. And it may be for a world championship of some sorts. We don't know. But the whole big thing here was the end. Bronson Reed shows back up and this was the worst kept secret of the week. Bronson Reed ran in smash Oba Femi with a steel chair right in front of the referee. He didn't give a fuck who was there watching him do his business. Smash the chair across Femi's back. Match was

49:18thrown out. Oba won by disqualification. Big tsunami from Bronson Reed and three more followed after that for total of four on Sunday night. Now he looks fucking incredible. He looks like a killer. He lost almost a hundred pounds if not just about a hundred pounds. And he showed up again on Monday night, cut a nice promo. Visions kind of that full strength. The only one out with an injury right now is Logan Paul who at least he's making TV appearances. What'd you make of the interfinite Jason on Sunday? And how do you feel about the vision now that they're actually close to 100 percent? I mean, I wish the vision didn't exist. So I, I really don't like the idea of continuing to keep these two and by these two, I mean, breaker and Reed is part of this crew. I think I don't see how it really benefits them. But they have them back at full strength now mostly again, Logan's with them. He's just not able to take bumps yet. He still has the brace on his arm. So I mean, the vision does nothing for me. Bronson Reed being back though. I'm all for

50:21that. And I'm really happy to see him back. And yeah, I talked about this on on crown today where you always hear people talking about Braun Breaker is the future future made made of an aerosol mania world champion. They say the same thing about Oba Femi. It's about time that you have Bronson Reed in that conversation, too. There's no reason that he should be left out of the conversation when you're talking about someone who could be a future world heavyweight champion. You know, this guy is put the work in. He's in the best shape of his life. He's a good wrestler. Even before he lost all the way, I mean, I was a big Bronson Reed fan. What really, I don't say it opened my eyes to him because I saw the work he was doing in NXT. But the stuff that he was doing with Braun Strowman on the main roster, I think was really where he first started to come out of his his shell, so to speak. And people started to take notice of him. And he just, he's really, really good. And if he can stay healthy because he had a couple of injury issues, the shattered foot and then tearing the bicep. But if he can stay healthy, he could be a major

51:24player, you know, like a major heel on that roster. And so it's just another person, another name now that they have back. It's somebody else for Oba to work with. If Oba wants to work his way back to Breaker, you know, got to go through Reed first. And it gives Oba something to do because we have a long time yet to go before we get to the Royal Rumble. And I'm imagining that he's got to be the early favorite to win the Rumble. I'm sure the direction for Mani and X-Jer is probably him and Roman. But we're talking about shows that are, I mean, the Rumbles in February, you know, Mani is in April. What do you do with this guy between now and then if you want him to avoid going after Roman Reigns, well, enter the vision, enter Reed and Breaker. These are the people for him to work with over these next few months. Yeah, WWE has a tendency when they don't know what to do consistently with somebody. They'll write them off television. I mean, this is not the first time that Bronson Reed possibly has written someone off television for a few weeks. He's done it with Roman. He's done it with LA night. So the tsunami splash is definitely one of the more

52:25devastating finishes that WWE is used to get them to get someone off TV. A lot of people were claiming to me in my chat. Yes, they're always buried, always buried. I seen it on X last night too. His, his again, barring injuries, like his fate is sealed in the best possible way, right? He's going to be the guy in this company. Save the word for someone who actually deserves it. Someone who's either not even being used on television or only being used on television to put other people over because they're not the priority, right? None of that applies to Oba Femi. No. So I wish that people would stop like overusing or using it wrong. They just throw that word out there. Like I'll use it every now and then I don't even like using the word because most of the time,

I'm hoping that the belt does come off the vision and Bronn Breaker could go on to win money in the bank. He's still my personal favorite to win. I'm going with him to win it and he

55:36can focus solely on that. So that is what happened in the beginning of Monday night Raw. What did you make? Did you see? I don't know if you want Twitter today, but people are making a big think about Oba after the spear and he was laid out on his on his stomach and Bronn's read put a foot on his back and then Oba kind of shoot him off. People were like, well, there's his Goldberg moments. He's no selling for Bronn's and read. I didn't really make anything of it when I was watching it live last night. Did you see? Did you see the spot where he kind of shoot him off? I saw the spot. I didn't I didn't even comment on it. I didn't even make anything of it at all. I looked at it as I mean, he was just laid out for the second time in his many nights by the vision. And Bronn's and read was showing again in storyline. He's showing disrespect to this man by placing his his boot on him and Oba just angrily brushed it aside. Yeah. Not not not in a way that was like, how dare you put your foot on me? You're not supposed to do that. He did what like, if somebody put their foot on me, I'd probably do the same thing. Yeah. Like get the fuck off me.

We had the heels, the baddies beat Charlotte Tatum and Alexa again, not much coming into this, not much coming out. I'm kind of over the Jay Cargill vortex of nothing here on Friday night's Mac now. But Tatum, you know, I was really hoping for something a little bit more special for Tatum. This is like week four now. And I'm not really feeling Tatum on the main roster. It's not her. It's the content that they have given her to work with on Friday night. Well, I mean, she was in a match on Saturday on Sunday night's made event. Brushes. She spent 90% of it sleeping on the outside. Well, that's what happens in a six person.

57:39I guess she was the key spot at the finish. Yeah, she had fun at the key spot. Yeah, she inadvertently because B FAB was about to be put in a figure four and she kicked Tatum off of her into Charlotte. Tatum had a very nice cell, the headbutt. And that's what caused Jay to get Charlotte up for jaded in one, two, three. And that's it. So hopefully someone's going heel here. I would I set it on on my review on Sunday. I would love to see Alexa go heal. I don't, I don't want to see or care to see Charlotte go heal again. I think we've been there done that. I think she's done a very admirable job as a baby face. I'd rather see her be like a more traditional heel rather than doing that. But either way, I mean, a heel turn, I think, could work. I think that would be and it would kind of be, I mean, it would it would be a little bit of a swore, I guess, because they have been teasing tension between Charlotte and Tatum, like Charlotte's not sold on Tatum being a part of this. And after what happened on Sunday, you would think Charlotte is going to just, you know, have a meltdown over it. So if it's Alexa who ends up going heel, it would almost like throw people off, which could be a good thing. Yeah, I don't care to see dark Alexa. I know there's a small pocket of people on social media that care for that. That WWE doesn't get the dark characters rights at all. And I have no interest in seeing that. Yeah, their track record is

59:45no, is not terrific. When I go, if the Wyatt 6 1 were on TV in a meaningful way, maybe, but they're not there and nothing of bright, bright, bright Wyatt remains. So, uh, um, with Jason, yeah, Joe Casey recently actually, I don't know if it was with Chris Van Vliet or somebody else, but I think it was him who talked about it and said that there, there was a plan for her to join them. And it just never, never happened. Plans changed. I think a lot of people, though, she was going to be like the, the sixth one in the Wyatt 6 and she was going to kind of join them or lead them. So at least there was some sort of plan that was talked about and it just never happened. Well, that, that would have gotten them over and then the Triple H didn't want them to get over. They were barely on television. So let, let's feed them with the MFTs over a fucking lantern for six months. I thought Cody looked better here than he did at Mania. I thought Randy looked better here than he did at Mania. And I kind of like the setting a little bit more because I just felt like the whole vibe of everything with Pat McAfee and we know exactly what happened and who wanted him there, it just killed everything. Now they tried to redo the WrestleMania stuff here. We've had some nice TV segments. I mean, they didn't really set the world on fire. You know, they can't touch each other. If one guy touched the other, then there's no championship opportunities. Nick Alders laid down the law. Randy's trying to go to him into saying some really vile shit and he's going Cody into

1:01:51touching him. No, none of that none of that happened. They went and had their match. And I thought it was very good. Now Cody had a prom on Friday. I thought the different setting with Cory Graves, the sit down backstage, wherever they were and Cody's attitude kind of being very he was definitely a heel in that promo. He came over he healish and his demeanor and his cadence was very he healish. I thought he looked great there. I thought he sounded great and Randy was like, okay, you know, so Cody says, am I sick? Am I sick? If you think I'm sick, then come Sunday, you're screwed. So we come. So yeah. So why was that? Why was that he elish? I don't know. The just the way he just his tone of voice, I guess he was calm. No, he was he wasn't. He was very calm. There was no way. He did do anything. He elish. I mean, the guy literally there was a guy in his face calling his mother trailer part trash. You have a trashy wife. And he's the heel like he just he was not allowing him to get under his skin. And by virtue of him doing that, he was getting

1:02:56under Randy Orton's skin because Orton was trying to bully him and into touching him and he wouldn't take the bait. And so Orton was the one who was like super frustrated at the end of the segment like his plan didn't work. So I don't I don't know that Cody came off his healish. It just there has been a little more of an edge, I guess a little bit more of an edge to the character recently and the way he's kind of acted. He outright came on smack that a few weeks ago and said, I don't have to be the I don't have to be the good guy anymore, right? He flat out came out and said that. But he hasn't really done anything healish. So I hesitate to say that. And then I watch him in this match. And I thought that they had a good match. There's the best thing on the show. And not that we had a lot of matches, but it was the best thing on the show. And we get to the first ref bump from Charles Robinson who got bumped the second time by the way poor little niche. I mean, he got squash not once but twice here in this match. And so you're just waiting to see, you know, when when are we going to get, you know, the big twist here in this match. We got

1:03:58the ref bump already. Orton ended up bleeding. I said on my end, I said, good thing they're not on Netflix. Yeah. So he's bleeding from the ear, Cody hit him in the face with the ring steps. And it ends with you know, Orton's in the ring and he's begging off. He's begging for mercy. And Cody backs up into the corner. He has the opportunity to punt kick this guy in the head, just like Orton did to him at WrestleMania. And he can't do it. He can't bring himself to do it. So, so, so he he backs into the corner and Randy Orton called his mom Trellatresh. He, he basically without really saying it called Brandy a whore. Well, Brandy was in the front row. And she was. Blast a drink at his face. Yeah, yeah, she was. Farrow apparently was dead before anything, anything happened to him today. So he made fun of the dog. And if you go back to WrestleMania, Randy left Cody with one fucking eye bruised, bloodied and he had that black eye for at least a month, probably longer than that. And like Jason said, he pulled into the corner. And what happened,

1:04:58Jason? He went to go punt him and nothing happened. And he stopped short. He made the same mistake that he made against John Cena at WrestleMania last year, which led to him losing the championship. And you would think that this guy would learn his lesson by now. But he just he can't bring himself to deliver the kill shot. And so in the end, what happens? Randy Orton has no such hesitation. They send another referee out there. This was very impressive. Randy Orton didn't just give Cody Rhodes a low blow. He got a two for one special here. He delivered one low blow and he got two targets. He got Cody and he got the second referee who also took the low blow. And he ends up dropping him with an RKO and then Charles Robinson comes back to life and he counts a three and Randy Orton gets his win back because Cody won it. Mania now they're all nodded up. Cody won it. Mania, Randy won on Sunday. Obviously they have to have a rubber match now, maybe with a stipulation. But the story is that Cody again, he was too good for his own his own good, right? He was too nice. He couldn't

1:05:59bring himself to do what needed to be done. He looked like a geek. He beat himself. Let me rephrase that. He lost the match because of a stupid mistake that he made. It's his own fault. And my my impression coming out of this was, okay, they've dropped enough little hints about this. And now you would have to think this will this will take him to a different place where he's ready to embrace the dark side because he realizes what he has done is not working. He doesn't have his title. He just lost to Randy Orton. It's going to drive him to a place that he has not been before. And then I see a report from a Q&A, I believe that was attributed to wrestle votes. Where they said, I don't know if it was, it might have been TC, but wrestle votes indicated that there is no plan right now to turn Cody Rhodes heel because he makes all a lot of money and he sells merch and they look at the analytics and they look at the metrics and they don't support taking

1:07:03him right now and turning him heel. They think it would be bad for business. And so for all the stuff we're seeing play out on TV, it doesn't sound like there's a heel turn coming anytime soon for Cody Rhodes, which was the impression I got coming out of Sunday. And so I read that and I'm like, well, I mean, if your Cody Rhodes, where do you go from here? If you don't embrace the dark side, where do you go with this character at this point that is going to make him interesting and take him in a different direction than the same shit that he's been doing? Bro, nothing is going to make him interesting. I saw that same report. Obviously, it's from wrestle votes. I believe they're more so than anybody else in the community. But I think, I think, I think that report, not because they're reports bullshit. I think the overall feeling of that is bullshit. I think if you turn Cody heel and you're afraid to turn him heel because he's making too much money and he's selling too much merch. I don't know. I don't know how those numbers are going to vary and different from heel to baby face baby face deal. I guarantee you if Cody turns heel, he'll probably end up selling

1:08:04the same amount of merch and making the same amount of money. If not more being a heel genuinely. And they're going to end up making the same mistake that John Cena made and didn't turn him when they were supposed to and then you waited all these years for it to happen and then you did it and it didn't work. But here's the thing, like what kind of heel can he really be unless he embraces it 100% like he does this podcast every week. He's an ambassador for the companies and ambassador for Wheatley vodka. He's in the street fighter movie coming out. He's doing all of these different things and I kind of feel like it makes me appreciate someone like Jericho back in 2008. When he came back and he went heel, he went all in on being a heel. He didn't even want merch. Yeah. He's like they were going to make him a t-shirt I think. He's like I don't want merch. I don't want a t-shirt. I'm a heel. And it was it was great character and we've talked a lot about MJF in the modern day. Like he's the only or one of the only real true heels in wrestling. Who I'm not saying he doesn't have merch and stuff like that, but he's the closest thing to a

1:09:07real heel that I could think of in pro wrestling today. Very few people really fully embraced being a heel. And I don't know even if they turned him how far they would really want to go with it. I feel like outside of maybe what we see on SmackDown every week, it would be the same old Cody Rhodes and does that work in 2026 if you really want people to buy him as a heel, but he's a babyface everywhere else. I do wonder. I'm not saying they shouldn't try it, but I'm just saying I do wonder if it would really work. I don't think I don't think a Cody punk too is going to work with Cody playing a baby face. He needs to be real. I agree. Something has to be different. If they're going to run that match back, some either whether it's punk or Cody, I agree. One of them should be a clearly defined heel. So if they change him and Tuy Kim just slightly into that second match with punk, he's going to end up getting and he's going to be a little bit more aggressive and a little bit more like rain, the ordinary kind of viper rest. He's going to end up getting booed anyway because he's going to be going up against the biggest babyface on the brand. And how does that

1:10:10work out? Do you just let him be Cody and just let the fans dictate where you want to go or do you pull the trigger and have him play heel going into that match? But then coming out of it, he's the babyface. I don't know how they're going to work it. I just want me personally just one way and not this in between because we get it with Roman. With Romans, he'll playing a baby. Romans, he'll on TV. He's got a heel character. And he's dictated as a babyface by the fans. And that's stupid. So I would just like clear cut heel babyface. That's all I asked for. Well, I'm wondering also there's the possibility here of a double turn, maybe in a third match between Cody and Randy. It's kind of funny. Like I look back at their WrestleMania match. And Orton was selling the back for like 85% of the match. He was like the people were we're booing Cody and Randy was selling the back and trying to make a comeback like a babyface. It didn't make any sense. And then in this match, Orton, for all the horrible things he said to Cody coming into it, Orton is the one bloody face begging off. Again, almost in like kind of

1:11:14a babyface type position. It was more pronounced of WrestleMania. So maybe they just go all the way with it. And maybe when you get to a third match, they do pull off a double turn and Cody goes heel and the fans would probably just keep cheering for Randy anyway. Maybe I don't know. I mean, again, if wrestle votes is accurate on this, then it doesn't sound like there's a real plan in place to do anything anytime soon to that effect, which is too bad. But that was my impression coming out of the match on Sunday. Maybe that's where we're headed. Maybe they would actually have the balls to pull the trigger on that. But maybe we're asking the wrong questions. Maybe we shouldn't be too excited about WWE turning anybody heel because look what happened with New Day and look what happened with John Cena. Yeah. Do we really trust them to turn like a major heel turn and follow up on it in a way that is going to be good. Their recent track record is not great. No, no, he's he's botched those last two heel turns the heel the new day and the John Cena

1:12:18heel turn. So I'm not giving him any benefit of the doubt with this one. But as far as Cody, I agree. I said the same thing on my end on Sunday. I think whatever comes out of this, Cody needs to understand that to get back to where he was as the champion. And I'm talking about the height of the company, WrestleMania 40, he needs to be Randy Orton. He needs to follow what Randy Orton is doing. He needs to be the Viper. I don't know what that looks like. I don't know what the third match is going to look like. I don't know what type of stipulation will be double turn. Some people some people like maybe they maybe they reform a legacy like together. I don't know. Yeah, no, I don't think so. The issue is people don't want to boo Randy Orton. They were they were I believe more willingly embrace the idea of booing Cody Rhodes before they collectively start booing Randy Orton. Yeah. It's just a hard thing. He's got so much equity in that company. People think he's cool. They like him and they love the finish.

1:13:19They love the RKO. It's an uphill climb to get people to really boo Randy Orton. They just don't want to do it. So I don't know. Maybe something like that would make sense. So we will make a double like a double turn and kind of flipping the roles. The issue I always had with the Cody heel term, which people have been calling for for I feel like as long as he's been in the company. And you remember rock supposedly wanted him to go heel last year. The issue I had at the time was who do you replace him with? And now you have punk on smack then that punk is not the long term solution here is 48 years old. You still need a top baby face on the brand. That's not going to be CM Punk. That's not going to be Randy Orton. They do have other people on the show. They just got Kevin Owens back and so I as a fan just looking at this. I feel like okay we're in a better position now where they have other names on the brand who could at least kind of step into that role. Whereas they didn't really have that before. So I'm all for it. You don't think that they could do anything to make him interesting. I think I think if they let Cody do what he

1:14:25wanted to do as a heel. I don't know if that's you know bullet club Cody or some new version of heel Cody Rose. Everyone's like homeland or Cody. If they if they allowed him to really be heel, I think it could work. I'm not going to sit here and say that heel Cody can't work. I think it could. I mean the odds are against it in this company, but I think it's worth a shot. I would take the shot. Sure. I don't want them to wear. Yeah. Yeah. I don't want them to wait. I don't want them to wait on turning him heel or just think about it and then not do it. Just do it. Romans back in a semi full-time level. He's the biggest baby face you got. You got Punk Owens is back. I mean, I don't understand what the big deal is. Just give it a test run. If it don't work, you can always, I mean, you got how many fucking riders you got? They get 30 riders. Come up with something to get him back to where he was pre and post-Rustlemania 40. Not that big of a deal. Anyway, Monday night Raw, the rest of Monday night Raw, we had money in the bank qualifiers.

1:15:25We had Ray Mysterio, Ethan Page and Bronbreker, Bronbreker qualified. He is my personal odds on favorite so far, early favorite to win. We will obviously see who else advances and qualifies for the money in the bank. Any particular money in the bank favor you have so far early? Jason. Well, my early early money in the bank predictions in December were Logan Paul and Roxanne Perez. So I could not have foreseen that Logan Paul would be injured. So on the men's side, we only know that Bronbreker is qualified so far. I guess he would kind of be the de facto choice. I want to see who else qualify. I have a feeling Javano qualifying next week. But I want to see what the full field is. I'm pretty set on Roxanne though in the women's side. I'm going to stick to that. I think, especially live still being the champion, it really does make a lot of sense for it to be Roxanne. Yeah. Yeah. And Roxanne has kind of been in the background not doing a whole hell of a lot over the last few months. I'm thinking maybe that that was intentional because they knew that money in the

1:16:28bank was going to be later this year because you were watching the same shows that I was watching earlier this year when live would kind of talk down to her and was very condescending to her. And Roxanne had a look on her face like she was saying, okay, yes, yes. But it almost looked like she was like in her mind like scheming or plotting against live. And then it just got dropped. And everything has been just, you know, Kumbaya and everything's been fine with the women of the judgment day now for months. And I'm like, well, that that sucks. They kind of just dropped that whole thing. And then I thought about it and I said, well, if she is going to win money in the bank, it could have to do with the fact that it's so late in the year. Remember, it was going to be in August originally. And then it got pushed to September. And then it got pushed to October. And this is the latest money in the bank that has we've ever seen in WWE. Maybe now they can circle back around to it. That's my hope anyway. Yeah, I'm sticking with my Roxanne Perez prediction as well. I think break run of Roxanne are going to win money in the bank. Two heels, sir. Yep. Two heels.

1:17:33Sol Ruka, Lyra and Maxine was the women's money in the bank qualify match. Sol Ruka advanced thanks to Bailey and returning Bailey attacking Lyra. And this has been the talk of social media. Today is she signed that she resigned. Is she not signed? Meltzer said that she resigned. My Johnson and PWInsider say that's not the case. And she has four months left on her contract. With WWE is going to use her for the next four months and hopes that they can maybe work out a deal. I don't really care where she goes. I think Bailey has kind of exhausted all of her options in WWE. I think if she stays, they will promise her and then kind of go back on that promise, which they have done with many other talents before in the past. I think her going to AW is probably the best for Bailey right now, but who knows? It's just hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that well, she's got three or four months left on her contract and so they want to bring her back now. If she's got three or four months left on her contract and hasn't has not resigned the new deal, why would they put her back on TV? I don't know. They rode her off

1:18:36in July. Why bring her back to two months later if she is still not signed to a new deal and let's say only has three or four months left and where that's coming from, by the way, she had done an interview I think early last year with Chris and it came from her directly. She said she had like a year and a half left on her deal. That was a long time ago, but that's what she said. And so that when people talk about like, oh, Bailey's contract is up late 2026, they're not just pulling that out of their ass like they're pulling it from something that Bailey herself had said. Now, we don't know in that time if there was an extension or if they're tacking on injury time, we don't know that. But this idea like, no, no, no, she hasn't resigned, but she's got three or four months left on her deal. It doesn't make sense to me. The why bring her back to TV. I mentioned Dragonov before. They pulled him off television a lot earlier than that. We never saw him again, but you had the perfect angle in Madison Square Garden. You had Lyra beat her and write her off. And she never stopped mentioning her. She was name dropping Bailey on TV.

1:19:43Now she's back. I don't know. It just doesn't make any sense to me that there wouldn't be some sort of either commitment or she wouldn't have a lot longer on her contract left than just three or four months if they brought her back. So I guess Bailey's back to feud once again with Lyra and get revenge on Lyra and the, I guess the way that we go here is that she gets her win back over Lyra and the heel turn of Lyra Valkyrie is all but wasted. Is that what I'm saying here? Probably pretty much. What a what a what a heel turn there for Lyra man. Great plan. By WWE for Lyra Valkyrie who hasn't apparently it looks like she hasn't slept in about seven months. So that's I think I said the other night. And he told Heyman that the future of WWE was secure

1:21:49because all the family was taken out and then Heyman then asked, well, is all the family still breathing? And then he left. Now what do you what do you make of this Jason with Paul Heyman, Brom breaker Bronson Reed division? He's not in the vision. He's not a part of the vision. He's not leading the vision like he used to when Rollins was there. But Brom breaker is seemingly still looking for Paul Heyman's attention and he's looking for an okay from Paul Heyman. Do you think that Heyman's going to end up with breaker Reed, Oba Femme, where do you see him fitting into all this? I don't know. It's very weird. He clearly doesn't want to have anything to do with the vision collectively, which I don't blame him and why would he? But he was a lot friendlier to Bronson Reed last night than he was to Brom breaker. Yeah. So maybe Reed is the play and I think that would be probably very good for Bronson Reed. Is this going to lead to like a baby face turn for Brom breaker? Is that possible? I could see that. I just I don't see the need to put Heyman with Oba.

So that leaves breaker and Reed and of the two, I think Reed would benefit more from it than breaker one. Maybe, maybe breaker ends up getting turned because breaker is another one who you know, when he hits the ropes really fast and he does the super spear like that kind of stuff lends itself to being a baby face. That's like that's some cool shit that people just want to cheer for. Yeah. So I think that's going to end of being the place that he he ends up and maybe Heyman ends up aligning with Reed because the again, I don't care for the vision as a group. I don't even know why it exists anymore. You know, I know you said that several times tonight. I don't see Triple H breaking out the group. I think he's going to look at this group. But he he was speaking in the phone as if he was on speaker and there was no voice coming out. And he was talking to somebody about what I think

I think he just wanted to not talk to Jackie and he pretended that you got a phone call because I've done that before. And then he just walked off. Yeah. Okay. It's a great it's a great strategy. Like, oh, I got you know, I got to take this. So it could have been as simple as that. Can we can we not though please? Because I already saw some of this on social media. Can we not start getting into conversations about, well, who's he on the phone with? Who was on the other end of the phone? Have we not learned our lesson? Like how many times have they run this angle and nothing comes from it? Nothing. What was the last time? Jacob fought two on the phone with. Yeah, that was the last one, right? Yeah. Remember that? It should have been the main event. Stephanie Vickair and Liv Morgan for the WWE Women's World Championship. This went three times as long as they're matched at Russell Mania. So that's number one. Number two, this is Liv Morgan's second televised title defense in 142 days. That's number two. Number three, I thought what they did was very good, very solid. This realistically should have been the Russell Mania match match and length. But we didn't get that. And we got it here in the beginning portion of September. But Liv is still the champion.

1:26:53We got more judgment day nonsense interference. It's getting very tiresome to see the judgment day interfere and kind of give the rest of the group a win. But Becky came out there after telling Stephanie that she wasn't going to help Stephanie didn't want Becky Lynch herself. Becky came out there anyway. Becky wanted Stephanie to win the world championship with hopes that Stephanie would defend the championship against Becky Lynch. So judgment day got involved and Roxanne was the one that snuck away slid the title into Liv live hit Stephanie with the belts followed by old believe in and then you know, it's pretty academic from there. Liv retains the championship. So as far as the match Jason, very good. And the direction coming out of this, I'm assuming that going into money in the bank, we're headed towards a triple threat match with Liv Stephanie and Becky. I thought the match was very good. And like you said, better than the Russell Mania match, because how could it not be? I mean, they had six and a half minutes in April, which is ridiculous. Fucking entrances were longer than the match. Oh my god. And then here they had 17 minutes,

1:27:55which is a big difference. You could tell a much better story with 17 minutes than you can with six. So it was very good. The usual convoluted nonsense with the judgment day there at the end. Triple threat is where I always figured this was going. I thought they would want to do the individual matches first. I still think maybe we get Becky and Liv. Yeah. And then we get all three of them in the ring together. So I don't know if that if the three way would be it money in the bank or not, but I do think that's ultimately where we land. I would imagine. I mean, look, I'm also looking ahead to Crown Jewel. And again, as things stand at this very moment, we're looking at Liv Morgan against Chelsea Green, which I know about you. That that doesn't really scream Crown Jewel championship match to me. Of the two, I think Chelsea is much more likely to drop her belt first than Liv. So that may not end up being the match. So I'm kind of looking ahead also to see like realistically is Liv is Liv going into 2027 still with that title.

Why would you think that it makes sense for Nia jacks to be the one to beat Chelsea for the championship when Tiffany is right there, maybe with a heel turn or if not Tiffany, Blake Monroe, who keeps saying I need to debut in a championship match. It's the only proper way for me to make my in ring debut. Would it not make more sense for one of

So the Usos and Jacob Fattu they get to the arena. Usos are dressed in army fatigues and Jimmy's got a steel pipe and Jay, Jay Usos got a baseball bat and Jacob Fattu is he said, we got a lay low. We got a lay low. We can't go and find Royce Keys and OTM 946 is now their official name. So the game plan is usually run by the captains and the Usos. Jacob Fattu says they should run his

And Jacob is in the ring. He's just standing there. So they call out OTM and Royce Keys and all of a sudden Jason, we see on the big screen, we see OTM and Royce Keys in the parking lot of the arena. And on the big screen, we see security guards. I think there was at least four or five of them all laid out all on the ground and we see a rental vehicle in the background. So OTM get on top of the vehicle and

1:36:19they start blowing the windows out with steel pipes and crowbars. So all the windows are out. And then one of the guys, I think it was I think it was Bronco Nima up top. He pours gasoline into the passenger side seat from above into the vehicle. Royce Keys then takes a zip-o lighter. And he set the car on fire. Now the tail end of the car was on fire. And there were like sparklers going off and it was like slowly burning up and you see Royce Keys eyes just kind of being, you know, in golf with the smoke and his eyes are watering from the carbon dioxide. It is like, all right, let's get out of here. So they leave. And then there's this lingering comedic shot of the car on fire and the show fades to black. And that's the way they go off the air. I seen bigger fires at a fucking campsite. I seen bigger fires in a fucking kitchen on the food network. What what what did you make of this? This obviously anti climactic and what on quote, triple H cinematic ending to Monday night. Roll. I mean, to make us wait two and a half

1:37:24hours for that ending is like a fucking crime against humanity here. I mean, so the USO ended up going out there and doing exactly what they wanted to do in the first place. And then we see their rental car get set on fire like it's their rental car. And I'm like, okay, I mean, is this supposed to send some sort of, you know, personal message here. Like who cares? And you're caught on camera by the way, you're on Netflix. So you could just go after Royce Keys now. The insurance company can go after Royce Keys to collect on the damages for the car he just is sure. It's like and the end of the it was so just stood in the ring. They didn't do anything. They didn't run to the parking lot. They didn't they just stood there and they watched and they burned their rental car and they went off the air very late. The whole thing was very late show ended it to out two hours and 15 minutes. And here and by the way, that show last night felt like three hours. But like, this is one of the problem when Roman is not around and even when Roman is around

1:38:27sometimes. But when Roman is not on the show, like the bloodline stuff, it's just it's not good. There's nothing really compelling about it. Right. There's nothing really interesting about it. Now they made it work somehow the first time when because Roman missed a lot of Raw's back then. And yet when they were doing the bloodline stuff when it was at the peak, they found a way to make it work and there were enough kind of different characters that were in there and it was always like a fun tension between Jey Uso and Sammy Zane and Jaden like Sammy. And again, it was and it was still relatively fresh and kind of new at the time. And now they're they don't have that anymore. That whole dynamic is gone. And they just don't know how to really keep things interesting when Roman isn't around. So that's part of it also. I like the fact that Roy's keys is in a prime spot right now. You know, he's got his own crew. He got to close out Raw a couple of different times now. I think they may end up on one side of a future war games match. It's a great spot for him to be

1:39:29in. And I know you made the comment a few weeks ago that you just don't see him as being the leader of affection. Now, and I get it. He hasn't really been established enough to where I necessarily see him as being someone who they would put in that position. I still feel I still feel like watching this. This did nothing, by the way, to change my mind or my feeling that Jacob Fah 2 is in on this. Yes. Because again, they still have yet to put their hands on him. And it was Jacob who convinced the Usos not to go out there with their baseball bat and their lead pipe to attack these guys. Well, it also made the Usos look like bitches for not going out there, which is what keys called them. You know, why don't you let your bitches off their leaves? And Jacob's like, no, no, no. You know, we got it. We got to keep it 100. You got it. You got to stay back here and run the play, which is to sit there and do nothing evidently. So everything that they've done so far would lead you to believe that Jacob is probably in on this. And he may end up being the leader of 946 at the

1:40:30end of all this. But I like that they're finally doing something with key. I think this is a good spot for him to be in. I think he comes off, you know, like a badass, which is what they're going for. He comes off exactly where he grew up and was raised. And I love that. Well, that was also how it came off in the Vignette. They showed earlier in the show, the black and white video when they were sitting outside the house back at Oakland. Then they had the dog, the pit bull with them and they're walking down the streets. And it was like the way it was shot. It was very gritty. And that's great. And so we need more of that. But the angle itself that they did last night was incredibly fucking lame. I mean, it's just it's just the whole thing is ridiculous. Like, okay, well, it isn't car on fire. It isn't setting rental cars on fire. Like the last ditch effort for like fucking, we're out of ideas. Well, we don't know what we're doing anymore. Yeah. I mean, Jimmy and Jay are probably like, I call an Uber back to the hotel and, you know, we'll make sure that they go after him for the damages. It's like, okay, who gives a shit? You burned up their rental car. You know, this was not a fit man limo explosion. I'll tell you that. It was not.

1:41:34No, the flames. It was kind of funny how they started shooting out of the car like later on. Like there were there was like pyro bursts, you know, out of the car as it was smoking at the end of the show. So yeah, not not the best angle, not not the best show. I thought the show last night was pretty bad. It was pretty bad. You know, you mentioned it was Labor Day. It was Labor Day episode of raw. Most people get off. They're not working for Labor Day. Neither was the writing team. Yeah. And that's what we ended with. It almost felt to me like last night should have been Mexico City. And it's not that's not the way the schedule fell. So we have one more show. It's like the it was like the go home show to the big Mexico City Raw next week. So it kind of felt a little bit like a lame duck show, I guess, but next week should be a lot better. The crowd was very quiet last night because they didn't have a whole lot to cheer for. I'm not even blaming the crowd. Next week in Mexico City, I keep saying next week they're going to be a Mexico City on Friday. I would imagine those fans are going to be very vocal. I hope so. And yeah, and it should make for

1:42:39and they got Roman Reigns defending the title on the show. They got some big matches. So they should have plenty of reasons to be very loud next week, which should make for a fun show. Yeah, it wasn't the best crowd. That's what happens when you have two weeks of tape shows. And then all of a sudden you got a show back up to work on Labor Day for a live Raw. You don't want to work. So it definitely affected them. And hopefully they get back into the swinging things as they were actually, at least on Monday, producing semi decent television, brought as a whole nother fucking world. It's just awful over there outside the main event. But I thought they turned the corner though, JD on Smackdown. I never said they fully turned the corner. No, no. I thought we might said we might be seeing a beginning stage to then turn the corner. Clearly, I really clearly got stuck. They stalled out. They read they read out of gas. Yeah, they're all there. There are no gas. No breaks would it. Anyway, we got some news and notes here around WWE. There were releases this week. This made the headlines NXT releases. Anyway,

1:43:40Jasper Troy, Wendy Chiu, Adriana Rizzo, Zena Sterling, on Yarrun, Raxing Cole, PJ Vasa, Gary Wilson, Ellen Ackerson, and Marcus Brown. If you didn't hear, if you never heard of any of those names, I don't blame you. I haven't heard of half of the names, but Ellen. Yeah, I didn't know this, but I read up on her. So she is a Swedish, she used to be like an arm wrestling champion. Yeah. And very impressive athletic background. I believe she only first got signed in March. And she moved to the United States. She moved to Florida to work at the PC. And now she's out of a job, which is tough. When you have a work visa that is tied to your employer. Yeah. So that just, it's bad enough to lose your job and get told that you're fired or being let go, but not imagine for these people who uprooted their entire life and moved here from another country and went through the visa process and everything. And now you're out of a job.

1:44:44It's a scary time because you don't know what's next, right? And if I don't even know exactly how it works, you shall have to find employment, obviously, somewhere else within a certain period of time. But if she doesn't, you know, she may have to move back home. She just moved here a few months ago. Yeah. So she's Swedish, Sweden's strongest woman started lifting at 17 years old powerlifting. She was drafted to the Swedish army. And she actually is a very successful Twitch streamer with 112,000 followers. And she also has her own marketing company. Alicia's got backup. So you would think that she has other things to fall back on. But again, with the whole work visa process, I'm not sure exactly how that's going to work. Yeah. Wendy, she was the most notable name out of all of these names here. She signed with the company back in February, I believe of 2018, 2019, 18. You remember she was in the May

1:45:46young classic. Yes. She was Karen Q. Yes, she was. Yes. So after obviously a series of gimmick changes, she was also injured. She went on to challenge Mandy Rose for the NXT Championship, Fubatifini Shratton. She also worked in TNA alongside Rosemary. She was on evolve. I don't know how, why she didn't make the May roster. I mean, she was there for eight years. And WWE just didn't find either a the time with the spot for on the May roster. And then unfortunately, she got released, which sent a lot of shockwaves throughout the company because they felt like, it was about time she got brought up and was good enough to be brought up. And so Jasper Troy, I mean, he won LFG as the Tyrone May steel. And my question to you, Jason, I talked to coach about this. You know, these LFG shows, I don't know how much, or if at all, you watch any of these shows, I watched season one and after that I was done because it's just the same, the same premise. Nothing really interesting about it. How successful are these shows and all

1:46:48these shows necessary? They're necessary for WWE to get content out there to like their media partners. But what's the point of these shows if you're gonna find people to train and make a WWE superstar out of and then they win and then they ultimately get released six to 12 months down the line. Now, I know there's like a grace period in which they like look at you and they grade you. And if you don't pass criteria, then they end up cutting you, which is the case for most of these talents. But when you got Booker T, the undertaker, Michelle McCool, bully Ray, Mickey James, and whoever else they had, you know, coaching Kevin Owens in season three. Yeah, like, isn't that a bad look on them? Like what's the point of these shows then? No, I mean, I mean, I look at it's very similar to tough enough. They went to the same thing with tough enough. We had tough enough winners who won the $250,000 contract and then they didn't last very long. You know, they flamed out or whatever happened, you know, they didn't go on to have massive success. Some of the runners up on these shows do tend to like the Miz, right? The Miz was a,

1:47:51I don't know if he was the runner up, but he was on tough enough and Miz has been there for 20 years. Right. But he didn't win tough enough. Maven in Nidia, like there, there were people who won, who, I mean, how long did they last? So we've seen this before. Is it worth it to do? You said yourself. It's content for them. So they think it's worth it for the content. Not everybody is going to be a success story. How many minor league baseball players do you think ultimately go on to play in the major leagues by percentage? Very few. Very, very few. So you can't expect that everybody is going to go on to become a big star, but it doesn't speak very well when the width, both winners of season one are gone. And then one of the winners of season two is gone. I think the female winner. I think Shiloh Hill is still there. So the, the LFG curse, if you want to call it that is a real thing. The record with LFG is not exactly a great record right now. But you have to expect that if you find one or two diamonds in the rough, who do go on to be

Brian Alvarez said that there could be more in the coming weeks and that there could possibly be some main roster cuts at the end of the year. I don't know how true that is, but for, for their sake, I hope not, but I have this story to bleed into that because this was, this was actually reported today. Mark Shapiro says, WWE superstar pay was resized after deals with ESPN and Netflix. He, he spoke at a Goldman Sachs conference. And Mark Shapiro was asked about balancing talent expenses with marketing support that goes into talent in WWE and UFC and answering the question, Shapiro addressed pay of USC fighters and WWE superstars. He says, let's talk about the pay for the superstars and our fighters first. What I would tell you is post our new deals with ESPN and WWE and Paramount, CBS, P coc sky with UFC. And even a little bit post

1:50:03raw with Netflix, we did resize our fighter and superstar pay. That is baked into our numbers. So there will be no further adverse impact with regard to how that plays out or divvies out. We're confident with where we sit. We have 600 fighters as an example in our stable at UFC. We do to your point, really rely on development. Keep that in mind when you look at WWE 75% of the superstars come from NXT. So they're starting in our developmental league and going all the way up. So pipeline is very important to our strategy. On the UFC front, we've really capitalized on investments in our performance centers in Mexico City, Vegas, particularly China. We're really getting a real traction. That's a big part of our strategy. It will continue to be a part of our strategy and we will continue to be aggressive in other monetization opportunities for both our superstars and our UFC fighters with regard to advertiser deals, marketing partnerships, bonuses, through the fight card in terms of finishes and fight of the night. What you see is the best of

1:51:05the best signing up and lining up to be a part of UFC and to be a part of WWE. So that's something we always watch out for and we want to make sure that we really spread the opportunities but the strategy is working and our margins will continue to expand. Now, in the same breath, Jason, we know what happened new day, obviously, Kofi, Xavier Austin Cree talked about their pay being reduced by more than 50% and talent like Shamus have been asked to take 50% pay cuts or more. He's not there. 20 year vet, not there no more. Reportedly, there was a talent that took the 50% pay cut. He paid cut. He went on named. We don't know who that is according to Meltzer, but there are several others that were asked to take pay cuts. So with Mark Shapiro saying this, I just want to read this to you because it's really fucking just eye opening when you really do the research on Mark Shapiro's compensation in 24 was 31 million in 2005, 42 million. That's 33% euro of year

1:52:09increase roughly a 10.7 million dollar raise landing during the same stretch. WWE was re-structuring talent contracts. So it's just a situation where the richer get richer here and the math, you know, obviously with what I just mentioned there. Shapiro, he's the TKL president took on 43 million dollars in 2025, 33%. So meanwhile, that same year, WWE was walking into talent locker rooms and giving them 48 hours to decide whether they take a 50% pay cut or get released. Kofi and Xavier, like I mentioned, said no, and they walked. And on Monday, Shapiro said this to Goldman Sachs stood on stage at a conference and called what happened to those wrestlers. Page checks resizing resizing is the word he used. How ridiculous is that? I mean, I resize my window here in Windows 11. I don't usually hear about my pay checks being resized. Now, look, welcome to corporate America. I mean, this is how it works. It's not just a wrestling thing. It's a publicly traded company and this is how it works. The executive compensation

1:53:14is quite high. I had a lot of these companies and I'm not saying that they don't deserve. If you, you're making your company a lot of money, you know, you're like a visionary type and great, you know, you should be, you should be paid well. But executive compensation is sky high. And the other little people are the ones who they can kind of play with. And when they want to cut down on expenses or they feel like, you know, they want to increase profits, they'll find ways to do that. And it's not going to be cutting their compensation. It's probably going to come from somewhere else. People are going to eat. And we're not even talking about pay cuts. People will just get laid off. You know, people will just lose their jobs. It's one of the issues that's being discussed right now with this whole paramount skydance and Warner Brothers Discovery merger, you know, and people who work like in the entertainment industry are concerned about their being a downsizing in terms of the number of jobs. Or when WWE and TKO, when that whole merger happened, we heard a lot about redundancy. Remember that word was being

1:54:18used between WWE and UFC, where we find redundancy in positions, you know, we will, we will handle that. And it kind of makes sense. Like if you have, let's say PR people, marketing people who work for UFC. And now WWE is under the same umbrella. They have their own PR people and marketing people. Sure, there may be some redundancy and certain responsibilities. But I mean, you had like whole positions and divisions that were eliminated. But this is a common thing, you know, in the business world. It's not just relegated to TKO. TKO is all about the bottom line. People knew that when, you know, they first bought UFC. There were UFC fans who warned wrestling fans here. Guess what's common? And they weren't wrong. They were they were bang on with their predictions. So I'm not surprised by any of this. It is it is quite sad when you hear about people being asked to take a 50% or like Ridge Holland this week said he took a 56% or was asked to take

1:55:21a 56% pay cut, which may have been in line with what new day. Cause I think that's what Kofi said. It was a little more than 50%. Not quite the 75% that Conrad Thompson was talking about. Brian Alvarus had to walk that back and say, well, that it wasn't quite 75%. But even 50% is insane. So contract recising. But I always say this. Don't want to come to these contracts like and these talents have to know this when they put their name on the dotted line. That it is a one sided contract. There is no such thing. Baron Corbin just didn't know you. I saw this. I thought of you immediately because what he said last week, he just didn't interview and I don't know who it was with, but he was talking about he signed a multi year long term deal with WWE. So he's going to be here for a while. He's got all these goals and everything. And I'm like, all right, you signed a multi year deal, dude, but that doesn't mean and I'm not wishing this, but it doesn't mean that a year from now, we're not going to be sitting here talking about

When he was talking about how they're family friendly programming. And basically it was like

And at the time, there was this weird speculation online that Rusev was unhappy with WWE and apparently stormed off after a match with Javan Evans, but he hasn't been seen since and

2:00:33Fightful was able to learn more. WWE Performance Center sources told Fightful that during the match with Evans, Rusev's hands went numb after a spot where he landed awkwardly on his neck during the match. Ref X, if the match needed to be stopped, and Rusev wanted to finish it, but it got worse. So Fightful was told that that's why he ended up being rushed off. It was believed he was also put in concussion protocol. After the match, Rusev was given a couple weeks off return to the PC, had an undisclosed illness, and he is waiting to get cleared by WWE Medical this week. So he's expected to return to TV in September this month. So it'll be good to see him back. What he'll be doing, nobody knows, but as long as he's happy and healthy. Ivy Nile, there's contract news on Ivy Nile. This might not be as positive as Rusev's update, but Ivy Nile hasn't been on Raw in months. 2:02:38news on contract Anthony Bowens. His AW contract is set to expire in October on October 1st. As of now, the deal has not been extended and Fightful has not learned if those talks have started. Fightful also reported releasing the Bowens former tag team partner Max Castor could see his contract also expire on October 1st. So that's interesting, Jason. With both of them possibly expiring on the same date, if AEW and Tony Khan does not bring them back, especially with that tag team division. I don't know why you wouldn't want to add another solid tag team, former tag team champions. Do you think WWE shows any interest in bringing them into their tag team division? I mean, if I were them, I would. Yeah, I don't see why not. Yeah. Bowens in particular, even not not even necessarily as a tag team wrestler, but as a single. Very disappointing. You know, that Tony hasn't done more with him. They put him in the ops. But you know, they don't really done anything to break him out in any meaningful way. So I don't really see

What his ceiling could be, I don't know, but I mean, I feel like he should be doing more than what they have him doing right now. So he's one of these guys where I don't know, Tony just sourd on him or realize that his contract is up, you know, next year, and I don't have any plans. So we'll just kind of bench him and, you know, let him work in these if he wants to and just wind down the clock. I don't know. I mean, that's a weird one. But would WWE have an interest? If they're serious about building up their tag team division, and I'm not sure they're very serious about that. But that's been the report. Why wouldn't you want to bring them in? So again, whether it's in a tag team or as a single, I definitely think that there's value there. And if Tony Khan doesn't see it, then I would hope WWE would. But at a time when they're supposedly rebuilding their tag team division, that may be their way in. Hopefully they are very talented and should find a spot on TV somewhere. But it may not be with WWE. John Cena, we got another update on the John Cena classic apparently chat. It is still being worked on. It's coming soon. But John Cena says the events carrying his name might not work

And I'm really excited about it. It also might fail. He said the reason he is willing to say that is that he's been telling other people to accept the same risk. I'm trying to walk the talk. I tell the young talent a lot to embrace bold chances and then just learn from the failures. So I've got to try to walk that talk. He tied the concept of the event back to the same argument. He makes about opportunity that a spot on the card has a chance to build something rather than reward in itself. I guess that's also the origin story of the opportunistic nature of the John Cena classic. I just want folks out there to have an ability to do their thing the best they can do it.

He drew a specific exception for Roman Reins saying that the OTC is earned this position and pointed instead to talent further down the card. He named Santos Escobar, Angel Garza, Humberto, career was performers. He believes had the ability but never got a sustained push and said the same of his own two runs in the company. So Jayusah went on social media and said, we draw. That's the difference between us and them. Stop bitching and do some shit. End quote. Now, you know, Andrade has a point, Jason, and I talked about this with Coach, they on Draude has a point. But I don't know what the complaining is.

2:11:58You know, because people there in WWE, you know, they might not have a good shake of things and they might not get pushed, but then they end up leaving and they go somewhere else and their life is so much better all for it. In this case, Andrade, I mean, this is the best we've looked. You said this is his final form. I mean, he's looks he looks fantastic. Mexican superstars in a W will far supersede and succeed on television, more so than in WWE. So I don't really understand why Andrade is complaining now when he is pretty set and got a great spot on television. And the Mexican superstars under Tony Khan, CMLL partnership. Tony loves Luchelibre. This is why AW exists. Tony Khan and AW exists for this reason because opportunities are given where they may not be found in WWE. This sounds like a J. Uso problem. And I feel like this is J. Uso's insecurities really kind of showing up here. What would you make of this? Did you think anything about this?

So I don't know if Andrade has he probably has a t-shirt or two of his own point is he's doing

Dynamite on Wednesday, though, not bad for a post-papreview show, but some very questionable decisions by AEW management and creative. Will Osprey start out the show. The demand came out. Ricochet wanted a title shot. Ricochet said that without him, Will Osprey would not be the world champion. I laughed and chuckled Gabe Kid then came out and then we had the United Empire back up. Will Osprey

2:18:11and this leads to a big party match, big 10 man tag at the end of the show. But the big thing in that promo is Jason, Will Osprey wants to create and form a United Empire here in the United States. What'd you make of that? Oh, what I made of that is welcome Ilya Dragunov. What a great spot that would be to debut him. I didn't I didn't even think of that. That sounds fun. Awesome. Actually international flavor in there. That'd be great. Yeah. I didn't really care to start the rain off this way with having low end guys come out there and challenge Will Osprey, but I guess he needs people to beat Gabe Kid and Ricochet fit the bill. Well, they flew them. Okay, so I mean, they were it Wembley. Yeah. And so now they're back in the States. I don't know, maybe they just felt like we have them. We'll fly them in and we'll do something with them on this on this show because he's going to make the announcement about a new United Empire. So let's bring in the existing members of the United Empire. I mean, I agree. They're never on Dynamite and it's like, I look, I will say this though. Callum Newman in that main event look really good.

But I want to form a new one here, you know, in the States and I want to help elevate people here in AEW. So it can't just be someone like a dragon of from the outside that they're bringing in. You could do that. But obviously they have other people in mind for who are already in AEW. I don't hate the idea. I actually kind of like the idea. I wonder I wonder if this is going to make room for like a Jeff Cobb back in the AEW. You think that's the case? No, I don't know about Cobb. I the other name I came up with like a my review. I mentioned dragonov and I mentioned Kyle Fletcher because there is

2:20:17a there is a relationship a prior friendship between Osprey and Fletcher. They've teased now for a while issues between Fletcher and Okaada Fletcher just lost the international title. I don't know that he's long for the Don Callis family. I don't see him getting booted or leaving imminently, but like the seeds have been planted for it. And so when and if that happens, could he end up back side by side with Osprey's old friend as part of like a new United Empire crew? I say yeah, I could see that happening. To do what? Be second fiddle to Osprey? Well, he could be second fiddle to Osprey for a period of time, but I mean if the ideas to help elevate people to he's already been elevate. I mean Fletcher is one of their big rising young guys, but if Osprey is still the champion, all roads could eventually lead to Osprey and Fletcher for the world title and maybe maybe maybe he drops the belt to Fletcher when the time is right.

2:21:18I don't hate that idea. I don't hate that at all. Swerve and the new level Kofi and Austin Creed against the Rascals, Desmond Xavier Zachary once in Myron Reed. This was the for the AWT or championships. You know, I mentioned to Jesse on Wednesday, I didn't really expect the new day or the new level to go right in there and just fucking go a thousand miles an hour with the AW style and you know that type of match, but they did it. I would have preferred them to kind of be eased into that, but man, they went in there and you just felt like it was months and years of frustration. Just let me go out there and fucking fly around. Let me go out there and wrestle. That's exactly what they did. This was probably the best thing on the entire show. Oh, yeah. They look rejuvenated. They were doing some stuff and they that I've never seen them do before. They did that one spot where I think Kofi was on Creed shoulders, right? He flipped them backwards. Yeah. Maybe they've done it before the new day, but it's not something that was a regular

They're coming up with some new stuff and they just look like they were having fun because they were able to go out there and work. What was the last time they were able to go out there and work? And speaking of that, the young bucks, they come on out and they had a face off with the new level. So I don't know if we're immediately going to go into a tech team match with those four. No. If we're going to get Kenny teaming with the bucks against Swerve and the new level. You got to hold off on that until next year. I have a feeling that Tony is planning something big for April. And so whatever that show is going to be, you could do, you could do like a big match with them on that show. I agree. That's a good idea. Speaking of the bucks, we had Copen Krish, Cropen Krish and bucks out there and then FTO, it's totally. We got the announcement that it all out. There will be chairs. There will be tables and there will be ladders. We have a chairs, tables and ladders match. We can't do tables ladders and chairs because I'm sure there'll be a season to assist almost immediately in Jacksonville. But we got a TLC match, Jason here with the bucks, FTR, Copen Krish and at all out. I thought this was going to take

2:24:27place at all in. We're getting it at all out. And I said to Jesse, if we don't get the lucha brothers and usos, which to me, I'm still keeping, I don't think we're getting it. Honestly, but if we do buy some chance, get it for for worlds collide. I would be very tempted to watch that show over all out because they're going head to head. But if we don't get that, there's no reason to watch worlds collide. This is the reason why I would watch all out. This is a, this is a match I'm very excited to see because you mentioned last week, you think that it's going to be copes less year next year. And the fact that we have FTR back, hopefully, they're semi healthy. And then the bucks and a ladder match kind of recreating that magic. That's going to be a very, very, very chaotic match. Yeah. And I figured there's no need to do a stipulation match of Wembley because it's the first one. They're going to run it back again. I didn't know they were going to throw FTR in there. But doing the stipulation match at all out makes all the sense in the world. Why, why blow that on the first show? So now you got three

Obviously, Copen Christian, a lot older Copeland is, yeah, he's not moving around the way that he used to because he's a lot older, but you got the bucks in there and FTR. And we know the kind of matches, those two teams have had it would be impossible for them to go in there. I think in this scenario and have a bad match. I'm not saying I don't necessarily want it to be chaotic in the same way those old TLC matches, it doesn't have to be that chaotic, but they're going to go in there and they're going to have a great match. And that's, that's why they're doing it. And to your point, you know, they can't call it TLC. They can't call it, you know, CLT match because that, you know, for obvious reasons. So you need to call it, I mean, come on. So you either call it, you know, chairs, tables and ladders or just call it a ladder match that will also happen to have chairs and tables in it. But the fact that she's been able to do all of these things in different places to me does give her a leg up on someone maybe who hasn't been as well traveled. I'm not trying to lie like a Charlotte flare or even Becky, right? Becky came up from the independent scene, but she came to WWE. She's or NXT and she's been with them ever since. And then you get into the whole argument

I don't know that we need both of them doing that same gimmick, but like when I saw Moxley at the very end and his, his thing is with Osprey and that was going to be the focus going off the air. I'm like, there was really no need at all for this to be on this show at all. Now, which we will end with this here. You're not an empire against the demand and the dogs. This was Will Osprey, Newman, Hanare, Akira and Andrade against Ricochet, Bishop, Contoli, owner, Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors. So clearly Ricochet and company win. And then after the match, Osprey and Andrade high five each other, Andrade showed Osprey the contract because he has it, uh, stowed away. I believe he said that he's going to wait to cash it in. So he's not going to cash it in imminently. So we go back to the ring and Osprey is being

2:42:14attacked by Gabe Kidd. So Kidd hits a low blow. He then grabs a chair. He was going to use it on Osprey. The death rotters music kits and then out walks the death rise. All of them. John Moxley gets in the ring. He rips the chair away from Gabe Kidd. Kidd is screaming in his face. He's right there. He's right there. He wants Osprey dead. Kidd goes for the chair shot. Moxley stood in his path on Drade then charges and tackles kid. Apparently they had a national championship match on collision. I don't know what happened. I didn't look at the results. Moxley was saving Osprey from a beat down of Gabe Kidd. So Moxley is left standing with the AW champion chip. Osprey turns around, Moxley puts the title on his shoulders. All of a sudden Jason, they both slowly look up the big screen and we see Osprey Moxley all out AW world championship. Moxley looked like nice. I laughed to Jesse. I went and said he looked like he found out about the announcement right there in the ring standing next to a loss. They had this shot look on their face and the crowd was giving holy

2:43:18shit chance. And that's the way they went off the air. Now I've seen some people being very down the middle with this. Some people liked it. Some people hated it. My my thought process here with this and I'm curious to see what you what you said is we understand that this was probably good to be the national progression of things. We all knew this is where it was going to be. They have history. The story about that that right is training Moxley going into all in. Moxley was a part of Osprey's entrance. We understand it was going where it was going. But my problem is on Wednesday show. They didn't do anything to even set up there being a championship match going into all out. Secondly, they didn't do anything from Moxley to earn a championship match against Joe Moxley. They just made the announcement with a graphic and they just went off the air with that. I find that to be ridiculous and I find that to be lazy. I would have loved some story on the show as to why Moxley and Osprey had some sort of interaction on Wednesday to build on what they given us for months on end and maybe do something for him to earn a shot instead of just announcing it

2:44:24in some sickle like way with the graphic going up on the big screen. I found that to be lazy. What you think? Yeah, I mean, it's almost as if they had the opportunity last weekend to get the continental title off of Moxley so he could enter the Golden Match and win the contract. Yes. And then he could show up on Dynamite and he can look him dead in the eye and go, congratulations. You did it. Like I always knew you could. You had it within you to go out there and win the big one. And now you have your toughest task to date because I've got this and I'm letting you know right now that I'm calling my shot for Chicago at all out. And you set up the championship match for all out. I don't know why they didn't just do that. I mean, maybe he's got a plan for on Drodde where he felt like, okay, we need the contract on him. But that that would have made more sense when you said that it looked like Moxley had just found that is because he did. I hope I was hoping I was wrong in that case. No, no, no, he in that moment, he found out. Oh,

2:45:29shit. I guess, okay, I guess I'm getting a championship match. Meanwhile, he's still the continental champion. So here we are again, where he could be Moxley two belts coming out of all out. I don't know what the obsession is with all of these people that already have belts who were trying to stack belts. Jack Perry wants to be world champion. I'll tell you know that. Well, it's good to have goals. But like, why does he need the continental title if he's going after the world championship and will Osprey? We know he's not going to win, but even still. So that that there was a better way to do this. They wanted, I think that shocking moment. They wanted that image of the two of them looking up at the screen at the same time and everyone going, oh, and then he slow because he was like, he was had like the belt. He put the belt over his shoulder. If his hand was on his shoulder and then he slowly backed away, that's why they did it. They wanted that bit that shocking visual of like, oh my God, this we didn't see this coming. And so they got their moment.

2:46:32But I mean, there were so many other ways that they could have done this. That would have been so much better. So it was, it was kind of silly in that way. But we all had to know this match was coming. I was saying it's probably going to be the first challenge coming out of Wembley would be John Moxley. You have to tie that loose end up once and for all. He's got to get that win back. Right. He's got to beat John Moxley because Moxley beat him earlier this year at Dynasty. Moxley has been unbeatable this year. The sooner the sooner he gets beat by Osprey the better, at least somebody will finally beat him. And then hopefully at that point, I'm not saying he should go on a losing streak, but it's crazy. Like he just beats everybody this year. He's unstoppable this guy. Yeah. Yeah. So it's it's about time that you get him in the ring with with Osprey and you put it into this once and for all him is the first challenger may sense. Like it makes sense to do that match. That's a big main event for them to do. They've already they've announced two big matches so far already. They got the main event out of the way right away for all out. So I

2:47:35like that. But the way they went about doing it was just very, very weird, very weird. Tony is setting up all out. I mean, they got three weeks. So they have to do something. So I'm glad he's putting a show together. And he's going to try his best to counter program. Worlds collide. I don't I don't think he's going to have much of an issue. I think more people will opt to choose to watch all out. Worlds collide. I mean, I don't know what WWE has got planned for that show. And I don't really think it's going to be as interesting as what Tony Khan's going to be doing for all out. But I don't think he needs to try that hard. The fans are going to watch all out. They're going to watch all out. Nobody's going to be risking going to watch Worlds collide. Yeah. And I mean, I don't even know that he's necessarily booking this show with the idea of counter programming anybody. I mean, if you think about it moxley and osprey, that always had to be to play them doing a rematch with Copeland and Christian against the bucks. I figured that was probably going to happen with a stipulation. Now they threw one more team in

2:48:37there. So the two matches they've announced so far really aren't anything other than what I think they would be doing anyway, whether WWE was running opposite them that night or not. And the other thing is like I took a look at what the ticket sales have been so far according to WrestleTicks. So I know for the world's collideshow WWE's moved over 10,000 tickets so far, which is a very good number. AW is already over 8,000 for all out. So it's not going to have any sort of real measurable impact on the AW show. What you're going to end up with are two wrestling shows running in the same city head to head and there's going to be a lot of tickets sold that night. Right. I mean, between the two of them, they're closing it on 20,000 tickets. So the now arena also only will 10,000 people. So AW is very close to a sellout completely. Yeah. And I don't know what the capacity would be for WWE. Is it the all-state arena? So was that a 20,000 cedar? All right. So they may not they're not going to sell that out. But even if they end up having 12,

2:49:3713, 14,000 people, that's a healthy crowd. And the AW crowd, as you could tell, if they have the choice, like the AW people who are going to pay money to go see the show, they're not going to go, oh shit, CM Punk's wrestling at the the all-state arena. We should go see him. No, they're going to buy tickets to the AW show. So it doesn't look like it's hurting them. I think both both shows are going to do well that night.
