U.S. Defense Secretary says the American will is endless, and it's up to President Donald

Trump how long the war with Iran will last.

In the past hour, Pete Hegseth spoke from the Pentagon to give an update on the conflict,

which is now in its 11th day.

We haven't stated how long it will take.

Our will is endless.

Ultimately, the President gets to determine the end state of those objectives, right?

But what he said continually, and I want the American people to understand is this is

not endless.

It's not protracted.

We're not allowing mission creep.

The President has set a very specific mission to accomplish, and our job is to unrelentingly

deliver that.

Now, he gets to control the thought.

He's the one deciding.

He's the one elected on behalf of the American people.

And we're achieving those particular objectives.

Earlier, Iran's revolutionary guard rejected comments by President Trump suggesting that

the war will end soon.

It dismissed his comments as nonsense, saying it is up to Iran to determine the end of

the war.

The exchange of words continues as people in Iran endured some of the most intense bombardment

since the U.S. and Israel's attacks began.

Our emergency teams have been searching through the rubble of a residential building in

the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Whether it was hit by a U.S. Israeli strike on Monday near Resolute Square in the east

of the capital.

According to state media, about 40 people were killed in that attack.

And several new Iranian strikes have targeted the Gulf region in Bahrain.

A residential tower was hit in the Seaf District of the capital, Manama.

Officials say a 29-year-old woman was killed in eight people were injured.

The UAE and Kuwait say that they've also been intercepting missiles and drones.

And Saudi Arabia's civil defense says a drone fell into a residential area in Zulfi.

That's a city in the province of Riyadh.

Now, at least three U.S. warplanes have arrived at a British air base in the wake of

the conflict in the Middle East.

The U.K.'s defense ministry says that the U.S. has started using the bases for, quote,

specific defensive operations against Iran.

Prime Minister Kierf Starmer had initially refused to give the U.S. access to British bases.

President Donald Trump had criticized Starmer for that decision.
