Resistance Trepidation

About this episode

Long before I was on Substack, I made a series of videos on my YouTube channel about Trump’s long obsession with ending birthright citizenship. He’s been talking about it for over 10 years.Today it’s very likely that Trump lost before the Supreme Court. This video is encouraging people to go back and watch my Dec 2024 videos on this. These are links to the videos.Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4I hope I’m way off base. Unfortunately, too many of the things I’ve predicted about a 2nd Trump presidency have come true. At a minimum, I think we need to be thinking about the things I said in these videos.

I'm Vic Meyers. Welcome to the Resistance. Folks, in December of 2024, after he was elected and before he was inaugurated, I did a four-part series of videos, started with a Dred Scott decision and ended with implications. See, the Dred Scott decision was arguably one of the worst Supreme Court decisions in history. In a nutshell, it said that citizenship only applied to white people. It's still on the books. It is still law, but it's rendered moot by, in part, the 14th amendment, birthright citizenship. If Trump could somehow end the 14th amendment, then Dred Scott comes back into play. There's no way the Supreme Court's going to go his way on this decision,

and I think that's part of the plan. I talked about this back in December of 24. I told you that he was going to have an executive order on birthright citizenship, and I told you what I think is a possibility of why. He's going to use the decision against him on birthright citizenship to try and rally his base and more people. And the argument is going to be around all of these illegal aliens coming here to have anchor babies and all that stuff. That's going to be his argument. And it's going to wreak havoc. The end game is to change the Constitution. He wants to have a constitutional convention. And if you watch those videos, you'll see that there's a long standing plan supported by the Heritage Foundation and other racist groups to do just that. And there's a lot of changes that would come about. Now, given how unpopular, how much he's failed

in this term, I don't see him being able to pull off a constitutional convention. And that's got me worried because look at what he's done so far and look at the Republicans absolute refusal to stop him. I think he's going to use this decision against him when it finally comes out to wreak even more havoc on America. And I just want people to think about that. Go back and watch those videos and hopefully it makes sense. Thanks for listening. Good day.
