This episode was supposed to feature Alan Govenar. Alan is a Guggenheim Fellow who made an excellent documentary on Jasper, Texas.

Unfortunately, 4 hours before record-time, I received an email saying he couldn’t make it. I called my friend Will Westmoreland. We had both been wanting to do something like this for some time now so he accepted my last-minute invitation.

I’m so glad he did because it was a great conversation about rural America.
