And so they're in tough year, good team they're playing.
And then I turned it off and watched another game.
And I didn't get back to it, so it was 3-3.
I'm like, oh, I guess they found their legs.
I guess I didn't see the game until the 3-3 goal.
They had a power play goal for 3-3 and then they looked pretty even to me.
But yeah, right.
They won it.

Well, the premise is pretty straightforward.
The idea is to rank the 16 Eastern Conference teams in reverse order of quality.
So here we go.

I think by almost any objective measure.
Whether it's, do you want to be this team tonight?

I really feel like Toronto is a good answer.

I think they are in real, real trouble.
The Rangers don't even have...
What the Leafs have could be a part of their problem.
Which is a superstar player that looks like he's shooting a hostage video every time he talks in front of cameras.
In Austin Matthews.
The Rangers don't have an Austin Matthews caliber player.
They almost did, but not anymore.

So like that can cut both ways.
I think Toronto is probably going to fire everybody.
The GM, the coach is done.
I think the GM probably should be done.

I just know what it would feel like watching him speak to the media as a fan.

That might just be like he just is sick of talking to the Toronto media about Mitch Marner or whatever.

And I don't know that he has said one word, you know, about the future contract extension talks or anything.
They also don't have their number one pick.

That's a part of the reason why I think the GM is going to be fired.
I mentioned we were talking to Flutus Gonzalo covers the Bruins yesterday.
And I mentioned how he works for the athletic and I read a piece.
I think James Myrtle maybe with the athletic about the Leafs and about how the trade last year that cost them that first round pick.
And Frazier Minton is a nice young player who will be lined up tonight for Boston for Brandon Carlo.
They got to that trade at like two o'clock last year on trade deadline day.
They were entirely focused on trading Mitch Marner for Mika Rottenen.
And when that trade blew up and then later in the day, it was like it was like a last minute thing like, oh, okay, let's talk to the Bruins about Brandon Carlo.
But Marner wouldn't go.
Marner versus a reason he didn't want to wave his no trade, which is of course within his right, but he did that.
And they were sort of stuck and scrambled and threw together a trade that cost them a decent looking young player and a first round pick that's going to be in the top 10.
For a player that's doing really almost nothing for them.
Okay, I mean, I'm not going to fight.
So I think the Leafs are in really tough.
They're my pick for 16.
Okay.

I mean, I don't know how to rebut much of that.
Apparently, I was using the Rangers.
Apparently, I was really ready to go on the Leafs.
Their draft status, their prospect pool.
I don't know.
I just feel like they gave up a long time ago.
Yeah.
And, you know, maybe they, because they move Panarro and already.
Yeah.
Maybe they have the, I'll say 15 Rangers.
Yeah, I know I agree.
They're not, they're not far off of the Leafs.

I was talking to my son Owen about this.
He's following the league and, you know, whatever knows hockey.
And that was the night we were watching the Rangers in the only game.
They played out of one.
They were watching the game.
They said, no, I, I get Panarro and get any other veteran.
You're dumping your last place.
You know, just try to get futures.
Like, what the hell happened with Kendra Miller?
Like, that's last offseason.
And, or even at the deadline.
I don't remember.
It was last year at some point they traded.
That's a good, very good young defenseman that seemingly to me
should be a part of any reason young enough to be a key piece of your rebuild.
And they dumped him.

Which is weird.
And so, and Owen said it was probably what he remembers is they,
they didn't want to feel like they wanted to commit the big contract to him.
They didn't trust it in some way.
And the player was kind of maybe sick of it already.
So like, let's just, you know, go on our way.
But that's, that's a weird, that's a weird trade to me.
Still.
And I don't know what else means a bit of judge has played his thousands game.
Congratulations on that.

There's not, I mean, Adam Fox is nice.

because those guys are legends.
And most fans, you know, you want Sydney Crosby quintessentially.
You want those guys on your team forever.
So, you know, it's not like they should have traded Crosby or Melkin or Latang even.
It's not like that.
But what's a year that sort of pays them off for going another year with those guys?
Do they need one series win?
What do they, what do they need to make it, have been worth it?
I can't see them getting more of the math.
I don't even know if I like them in a first round series.
Honestly.

I think they miss Colorado.

It's, I mean, it, it's not crazy to think that that could happen.

And the goal is scored in like three lightning players.
And you're like, what?
