About this episode
This week on the Driven Chat Podcast, John Marcar and Amy Shore are joined by script editor and author Richard Porter.
Richard Porter is perhaps most famously known as the scriptwriter for Clarkson, Hammond and May for BBC Top Gear and Amazon's The Grand Tour. More controversially, he was a secret satirist for the automotive world through his mysterious yet frankly brilliant website - SNIFFPETROL.com - a website that ultimately granted his career in the TV world.
In this chat, Richard unearths the early days of his career with the most fantastic tangents and anecdotes... including a story about being filmed by John Bentley in a mobile phone shop in the late 1990s. Later we hear some incredible stories through the timeline of his work with Clarkson, Hammond and May.
