They saw some serious flames coming out of the structure, so much so that they had to fight it from the outside, basically going on the defensive. Because the house was a total loss. Now, the fire didn't just stay put, it actually spread to some nearby grassland, which is always a concern. The big question mark here is whether anyone was inside when it all went up, or if anyone got hurt. As of right now, officials haven't released that information. This wasn't the only emergency metro fire was dealing with that morning though. It was a busy night. They also responded to a deadly apartment complex fire near Wat and Winnie Avenue's where a man lost his life and a firefighter ended up getting injured. On top of that, they put out a grass fire down by the American River in Rancho Cordova.
