We have chosen today the whole new acronym thing drives me every day.
Can we call him by his name?
I'm a consumer, and I'm not paid by the sports hub.
It being a Monday, it is a reentry Monday.
That's probably to buy Blue Bear Plumbing heating and air.
To book your appointment today, visit bluebearplumbing.com as I pay the bills.
Everything is on the board.
Red Sox Weekend, the ABS, Bruins, really two impressive results right there, a great game
on Saturday and a great come from behind win yesterday.
In Columbus, if not a great game, Celtics once again showing out last night in Charlotte
back out of tonight, in Atlanta, that's on the board, whatever you want.
We'll zip through your phones here in a lightning round.
Let's do that, Jimmy, showing.
The lightning round brought to you by Blue Sky Restoration Contractors.
Indeed, spring weather here in New England can be unpredictable, but your restoration
partner shouldn't be our guys at Blue Sky are always ready to respond 24, seven, and
they take care of everything from beginning to end.
So visit blue go blue sky, excuse me, go blue sky dot com, no e BL usky go blue sky dot
com to your phones here as promised Alejandro on the firing of Bruce Cassidy in Vegas.
Go ahead.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Hold on one second.
One second Alejandro, go ahead on this.
Please.
Thank you.
It's pretty crazy that the nights fired Cassidy yesterday and they replaced him with
Tortorrala.
That just makes absolutely no sense to me.
I know he probably made his players cry like he made Jake to breast cry every week, but
at the end of the day, you're replacing him with John Tortorrala that makes no sense to
me at all.
We said it early.
It's usually not the way that it goes.
It goes from disciplinarian to nice guy, disciplarian to nice guy, you go back and forth
back and forth.
Like the Bruins have just done Cassidy to Montgomery to storm.
That's the typical, you know, Pete Carroll to build parcels like that's the way that that
or build parcels to Pete Carroll back to Bill Bella check him.
Absolutely.
And to Gerard Mayo, like get ping pongs between nice guys and a holes.
That's the way that it goes.
You don't go from one hit a hole to a bigger a hole super a hole.
That is something else.
But what a bunch of pluses there in Vegas.
I'll say the same thing about them.
I say about that Bruins roster.
They've done nothing but wins since he got there.
They want a championship.
Well, what?
But he's mean to him.
Give me a break.
There's Mitch Marner now too.
So you've now, if your Bruce Cassidy Stanley Cup champion, like one of the better coaches
in the league over the last decade or so, you've lost your gig now twice because of the likes
of Jake the brusque and Mitch Marner.
I'd be, you know what?
I'm good.
I'm going to golf.
I'm done coaching in this league.
Lightning round brought to buy Blue Sky Restoration Contractors, David and New Hampshire
go.
Hey.
How's it going?
Yeah.
Wiser versus Bernadino.
Not sure why we traded Bernadino.
This year's stats hits a loud wiser 57 Bernadino 39 home runs a loud wiser six Bernadino
one blown saves wiser nine Bernadino zero.
No understand.
Okay.
Yeah.
I don't know that.
That's not really apples.
I don't care about Bernadino.
Yeah.
One's a lefty one's a righty, but I will say that I'm not surprised at all.
Wiser.
It's the kind of guy that blows games in the sixth inning.
My fellow Pies on who played for the Italian team in the World Baseball Classic.
He's here.
Lou Yester here comes the Italian Greg Wiser.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's like this guy's Italian.
We actually have a word for what he did over the weekend.
It's called discats.
Yeah.
It's just what.
Oh, disgrace.
He's a disgrace.
He's a disgrace.
Dean and Shoesbury.
Go ahead, Dean.
Peyton Pritchard would be an all star on another team.
He's averaging without Jalen Brown in 10 games.
He's averaging 27.
7 assists, five rebounds on 50% from the field and 45% from the three point line and
the Celtics are nine and one on the in those games.
So he wouldn't only be an all star on a good team.
He'd be an all star on a great team.
Hey, Dean, do you have like a pick a poster of him on your ceiling or something?
Not on my ceiling in my bathroom.
He does love himself.
Oh, my God.
He loves the guy.
He loves the guy.
He played a good game last night.
He was awesome on Friday too.
So look, I don't know if he'd be, if he was on his own, see who's on the Kings.
Like would he be Jalen Brunson of the Kings?
I don't know.
But he's better than I thought he'd ever be on me too.
I would agree with that.
Lightning round brought you by Blue Sky Restoration Contractors.
Nick can fall.
Go ahead, Nick.
Hey, guys.
Thanks for the call.
Following up Dean is tough.
But I was at the game on Saturday.
That was my first Bruins game and if they're going to play like that, I don't know how far
they can go, but they can definitely at least make it to the playoffs and they can give
somebody a scare.
And I love Catholic and Geno just being ready to drop the gloves at any moment.
It's awesome.
Tremendous moment in that game yesterday, down to nothing, those two went and took on
some real heavy weights and those were really tough, tough fights.
And they got, I mean, they gave and they got, so as we'll say, but they both got kind
of crack kicked out of them.
And they're making the playoffs.
So I saw this.
Yeah.
The team didn't respond.
Pasta and I take a dumbass lazy penalty, just a little bit later and they give up a power
play goal.
So they actually went, it was two nothing when they had those fights and they went down
three nothing.
But still, it's a good sign for your team when you got guys like that.
They definitely have fight in the middle of the question.
And that fourth line has been a factor for most of the year.
It's a good fourth line.
So according to hockey stats and money puck, they have a 90% chance to make the playoffs.
Now, so they're making the playoffs.
But now the expectation should be win around maybe two.
So I'm not convinced on the playoffs yet.
Like, I mean, they should have split these games.
If Columbus didn't collect, this is why Saturday was a legit great game.
They played well.
That was an eye opening game yesterday.
They just showed some balls and kept at it and Columbus cracked a lot of losers as they
tend to do Columbus is allowed the second most six on five goals in the league.
So they've been doing this.
And the third, they're one of the worst third-period teams in the league.
So Columbus sort of did Columbus yesterday and you took advantage.
They won a great game for you.
The game before was a great game.
But so all this is a long way of saying, like I expect Tuesday to be a tough night form.
Dallas is a really good team.
Yeah, they're really good.
And you're going to be at home.
You're going to let down after a real emotional weekend.
And that's going to be a tough spot for them.
I don't think the playoffs are given at all.
They've done well in a couple of these second night and back-to-back.
So remember they lost who was at Toronto and then they played the next night and won?
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
So they've done in Detroit, I want to say.
Yeah, I think that's right.
You know, one of them in there, but they Buffalo.
Buffalo, was it?
Yeah, they've actually responded on those.
Chris and Florida on the ABS.
Go ahead.
Wow.
Hey, I'm being facetious.
But why don't we put two horizontal stripes on the uniforms?
One down by the knees and one by the apex.
And that's the strike zone for the hump.
Why don't we just call it the letters in the knees?
Like they've been doing for 150 years.
But they're not.
Not that, not that, we got to reinvent the wheel.
I mean, I, I, I can't reiterate this enough that people are like these idiot home
buyers are getting exposed.
You try it.
The strike zone is no longer at the knees.
It's 27% of the individual's height standing straight up without cleats.
Okay, they measured them all at 10 a.m. in February between 10 a.m. and noon in spring
training.
They take that height and then they determine the bottom of the strike zone is 27% of that
individual's height standing straight up in bare feet.
Now he's in cleats, which are like an inch.
I don't know.
And everyone has some sort of different crouch.
So he's got to figure out where 27% is of this guy.
Would you stand straight up for me, sir, for a second so I can least get an eyeball on
this?
It's ridiculous.
It is ridiculous.
I agree.
I mean, who's going to get that?
No, I like the idea of the stripes that the lasers can pick them up.
And then that way everybody knows Dan and Springfield on the light.
And we're on brought to my blue sky restoration contract.
Why, Dan?
Not to pile on that Italian hero wiser, but you think they would have been better off
if Peyton Toley was available to come out of the pen yesterday and maybe Maz can do
another translation because I was yelling at wife wiser yesterday.
Five default.
Yeah.
Jimmy, you might want to, you're not allowed to swear in a different light.
Yeah, I don't know if that was a swear or not, but I'd have to look at it up to some
of them.
I don't fully know.
Like they've heard them, but they, you know, they have multiple translations.
The Toley question is, look, it's a good one, except that I would tell you like, I think
you can do both, which means you should be able to develop a kid in the minor leagues
that you want to develop as a starter and still have another suitable reliever when you're
a big market team.
Otherwise, every guy you bring up, you're going to turn into a reliever and use him in
your bullpen and you'll never develop starting pitching.
So there's a balance there somewhere.
I'm okay with giving Toley some time to see if he can start, but what do you've helped
over the weekend?
Of course, absolutely.
We've got Stephen Rosendale in the lightning round brought to my blue sky restoration
contractors.
Go ahead, Steve.
On a respect for the lightning round, I won't give Marie too much of a hard time for
advocating for a five to 10 year tank earlier earlier on in the year, which meant we wouldn't
have had this awesome brewing season.
But I would love if any of you would just pull up the NHL standings in the Eastern Conference
and tell me besides Carolina, because that building is like a house of horrors for them.
I think one eight and one in their last 10 games down there, which team in the east is
not more or less a coin flip against the Bruins in the playoffs.
It is a completely flat year and in a flat year, a good organization should compete.
This is what good organizations do.
Okay.
I think they can compete and I think they can catch some teams and go on a run.
I'm not discounting their ability to do that at all.
Tampa is a better roster.
I don't know about this headman thing.
Victor had been took some personal time or something.
Yeah, he's just kind of gone away for this and I know he's sort of maybe out of his prime,
but that's a huge loss for them.
That is a playoff proven championship caliber horse back there.
So him being in or out is a big deal.
But I mean, Tampa, you know, you have the gold tending advantage over most teams.
You don't have it over Tampa.
They have a better roster.
They have a better your Tampa is better.
It's okay.
And Carolina has always given you trouble.
So I mean, I agree with those two teams.
I still think Buffalo is better, but they're right.
I mean, Buffalo wouldn't scare me.
And if anything, I'd be scared to be a Saber's fan like you're finally here.
You've had a tremendous year.
You're skating circles around everyone.
And what if someone punches you in the Hancock in the postseason, do you have any idea what
to do in that case?
If you're a Saber's fan, you have to be thinking when's the pants crap in common?
I mean, definitely so I give me the Sabers, but they're better.
I mean, they are.
I'll tell you about them.
I'm good.
No, I was just going to say I like the way the Bruins are finishing.
You know, so like at a minimum, the spot was there and they're putting on the heat to close
it out.
I mean, here's a good news on top of it all is that your franchise guys are really, they've
been your franchise guys.
They have been.
McAvoy's had a good year.
Yeah, he has.
He had gotten better for all the grief.
Reve given him.
He's he's been impactful, you know, in number one, defenseman kind of impactful.
Swainman has been self evident, he's put you on his back.
And Pochanox put it up the points.
Pochanox game on Saturday was tremendous.
He was tremendous in that Saturday game.
Yesterday, he went back to half dopey, half good, but, you know, you're sort of like franchise
pillars down the middle of that roster have given you what you've paid them for.
How about Carl and Boston on the light and go ahead, Carl?
Yeah, I apologize if you already touched on this.
I just curious about your thoughts on Roman Anthony's noodle arm out there.
Thanks.
I brought this up to these guys during the break.
Yeah.
So this is to end the game and extras on Saturday.
There's like a nine hopper he throws from the outfield.
It is.
I asked Mass.
I was like, please tell me, you know, there's a closer view of this than that the ball
maybe kind of slipped out of his hand, but I don't think that's the case.
I think it took four or five bounces by the time it got to the catcher.
It was it looked like a competitive play, you know, single to left runner, a coming
around from second base when you listen to the call on nest and they're expecting a
play at the plate and it wasn't even competitive.
So I just want to go over something here.
Anthony can't throw.
Campbell can't do anything.
Marcelo Meyer does have a position.
Well, Marcelo Meyer had to be poked at by the manager all spring because they don't
like his motivation or his attitude or whatever.
Something big three, baby.
Huh.
Interesting.
No, I'm just saying all the hype that these guys got and everybody says, yeah, you can't
do that because you're what about Maya?
What about Anthony?
Were you going to put these guys?
Okay.
Just they all have flaws and apparently did little did we know coming up next, robber
craft spoke today at the owner's meetings.
He said something on the Christian Gonzalez situation that I didn't like and I'll tell
you what it is coming up right after these words.

My name's Mackenzie and I started to go fund me for the adoptive mother of a non-verbal
autistic child.
The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic
child.
So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills.
So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis.
And we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months.
I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being
very clear about what we needed.
We have some really generous donations from people who are really moved by the situation
that this family was struggling with.
GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform, trusted by over two hundred

Now more of...
Now they're in charge on the sports hub.
Robert, here's a mindset when it comes to the contracts of some of your better great
players, meaning Christian Gonzalez, Drake May, trying to get ahead of the curve there
and trying to sign them before, you know, as we see these contracts escalate, escalate,
escalate.
Do you have a philosophy about that?
Well, we always try...
We have a sour cap, so we have a limit, so we have to think what's best for the team
in terms of timing of the signing, of course.
The earlier you do it, it's believed it's more economically satisfactory, but we leave
that to Mike Rabel, Elliot Wolfen, our people making the contract decisions.
We're lucky to have those two players, and I hope and believe they'll be with us for
the long term.
Which I've been a part of, you know, he does this routinely, he loves it off the record
chat with the guys at the owner's meetings, it happens at the combined with some guys
as well, like, it's not that unusual.
I guess it's unusual that we know about it, and so now this whole week, like, just listen
carefully to Bedard, Curran, Perry, who's ever down there, Callahan, and just, I'll
be reading between the lines of everything that these guys say this week, and it's like,
oh, Robert must have told you that.
Oh, so that's how they feel, like, we're going to be doing that, you know.
Oh, especially as it pertains to this story, we're going to be reading between the lines
on all of it, but that was Robert Krabs public comment, and I said going into the break
as a tease, or you said something I didn't like about the Gonzalez comment, do you have
one guess on, oh, yeah, no, no, we have a salary cap, I got low, we have a salary cap.
That's his answer.
His answer is we have a salary cap, and we leave it to bike, rabble, and Elliott Wolf.
Right, so think how paradoxical that comment is, is he still think we're stupid?
Right.
So apparently, yes, like on the one hand, he wants to tell you that they have a salary
cap, but we'll leave it to those guys.
In other words, I put a budget on them, but they'll figure it out.
And also, if we don't bring them back, don't look at me, that's also, you know, that's
the other part of it.
I don't want it.
Absolutely.
Bingo.
No, no.
These big ticket decisions are ownership decisions, not just with you, Robert, everybody,
every, every owner, when you, you, you plopped out a hundred million dollars guarantee the
owner factors into that decision, decision prominently.
It's basically your decision, and you know it, and we all know it.
Imagine if Jerry Jones tried to pull that line regarding George Pickens right now.
No cowboys fan would take that seriously.
No way.
So we have a salary cap.
So we have to think about the timing.
But we'll leave it to Mike, rabble.
Right.
Exactly.
Yeah.
That's his problem.
That's his department.
So he's the owner and wants to tell you there's a budget.
So he's empowered or authorized to tell you that there's a budget.
We got to draw a line somewhere, but I got to leave that to Mike.
No way.
This one.
Yeah, I'll stop.
Listen, I have no idea which way it's going to go.
Like I want to be the team is good with surprises.
But the whole premise of Christians or a young player popping early on his rookie contract
and the Patriots coming in with a big market setting offer before they have to, that's
just not a match.
It's just not how they've done business.
And other teams certainly are going to do it.
The Jets did it with Garner and the Texans did it with Stingley and the Seahawks just
did it with Smith and Jigba different position, but it's all the same thing.
It's a rookie contract.
You draft a guy in the first round.
He pops, establishes himself.
The first year allowed, you're allowed to give him new money and restructure is after
your three.
Those teams do it.
You, the Patriots, the crafts, feels to me like that's a team that goes kicking and screaming
into that one.
And if I just had to read it from 10,000 feet, that's what's going on.
We have a salary cap.
Elliott Wolfe said two weeks ago, he's under contract.
Today, craft says we have a salary cap.
And it's up to Mike and Elliott anyway.
And meanwhile, Chris Gonzalez is at the Celtics Games doing the Johnny Men's L thing.
Pay me.
I mean, so all I have to go on is the optics and 10,000 feet and my instincts or experience.
And I, my guess would be they're not close on this and that they're not close on it.
That's would be my guess.
Be interesting to see whether or not they take a corner on day one or day two of the
draft.
Seriously.
I mean, with them, I, I blew low nothing, but like I, you know, I've said this before,
I, trading them, done by them either.
Two first, if you can get the source gardener return, you can get two first round picks.
I think that's a better result than the dance that I feel we're about to start to have,
which just makes them look bad and cheap and just sort of enhances this reputation that
they've earned for not spending.
And would be a bad sign, especially for guy like Vrable who preaches culture and you
do right by us, we'll do right by you.
It would just be a, you know, for him to have to hold out or fake an injury or whatever,
wherever this is headed.
I think a better result would be two first round picks and doing that whole dance.
But so listen, they have a salary cap.
So I don't know.
Drake May and I, Drake May is going to get paid.
Christian's Alice.
I don't know.
I don't love his chances.
I'm going to start instituting a salary cap here and stop buying people lunch and crap
like that.
You buy people lunch?
Sometimes.
I'll have a Caesar with a grilled chicken.
I have a salary cap, Mike.
You're on your own, pal.
Well, we have a salary cap like, oh, here we go.
Yep.
Yeah, we guys.
As soon as he said that, okay, I got you.
We have a salary cap.
I just had a repair done in my house here.
You're on your own.
All right.
You can weigh in on whatever you want.

It's a fudge.
Mesento pappa tiado, verque rum.
Feldmanes.
Feltmanes.
It falls to Trevor's story today.
In a home run yesterday, on a cereal runner at second, Anthony on it first.
Two down, ninth inning.
And he swings and pops it up.
In a center field, Myers coming in, that should do it.
And the ballgame is over.
It's Axis Strand 2 and the ninth.
Cincinnati wins the game.
Three-two.
They take the series, the opening series, two games to one.
That was very quiet night offensively.
Kind of nearly looked good.
It really came down to one pitch.
You know, fastball that Yswick got down.
He wanted to elevate it.
Suarez, three runs shot.
That's it.
He moved on to Houston.
Hopefully you get these bets.
You'll wake up a little bit and a few guys to relax in the box.
That quiet offensive series to start.
You couldn't hit.
Cincinnati's did not have a great staff.
It's a hitter's friendly park.
And you really didn't do much offensively all weekend.
Pete Abraham writes in the Boston Globe Mass headline, red socks looked punchless
in their opening series against the reds.
But there's no need to overreact.
Why do we bother with that last part?
Like because they don't want to get blood by people online.
You know, I'm tired of that too.
Too early in the season.
Don't want to overreact.
Why are you even covering the game running up?
Why haven't tell me what happened?
If there's no conclusion or there's nothing to be gleaned,
then why even bother commentating on the thing?
I mean, red socks offense looked punchless in the opening series.
Fact.
Period.
But there's no need to overreact.
Okay.
They have 172 with men in scoring position.
So Murray mentioned this earlier.
Pete Abrites, the socks were two for 21, 095 with runners in scoring position.
The last two games with 20 runners left on base.
20 horrendous.
20.
They left the tying run on third base in the eighth when Caleb Durbin struck out
and when the worst at Bachelors see Mr.
contact.
That was me that last part.
He was up three oh and swung at a three one pitch that I still can't believe he swung
it.
They had runners on first and second in the ninth for Trevor store.
He just heard swung at the first pitch and flat out to center field.
Durbin is over 12 with three strikeouts and 0 for four with runners in scoring position over
three games.
Two strikeouts.
The new third baseman took the loss hard yesterday, sitting at his locker with his head down after
coming off the field.
P.D. Abrites at the socks traded for Durbin and his modest $796,000 salary.
Good job here.
Putting that in there.
On February 9th, six days after the mid market reds aggressively spent 15 million design veteran
singer at slugger.
Excuse me.
I mean, you might sing too.
You had a suarez to play third base.
Suarez for was just one for 11 on the season when he came to the plate in the sixth inning
with the reds down to nothing.
Greg Weissert left a 0-2 fastball over the plate and Suarez hit at 431 feet into the third
row on the second deck overlooking left field.
He was a bomb.
The ball was gone.
The second it left his bat.
It was a freaking laser.
Yep.
Mythal.
P.D. Abrites at a history as any guide Suarez will strike out a ton and not hit for average.
But he belted 163 home runs from 2021 to 2025 and the Red Sox could use that kind of
power in their lineup.
Having Suarez as the DH would make the starting nine look a lot more imposing.
He said they went for the $800,000 a year club, Durban exactly right.
He said core.
So again, if Suarez is DH would have been a perfect fit.
Instead, core is using one of his extra outfielders to rotate through the DH spot through three
games.
Jaron Duran and Roman Anthony are two for 12 with one RBI and no extra base hits.
Mazataka Yoshita will soon get his turn since trading Raffi Devers to the Giants last June
for four players, three of whom are no longer in the organization.
Red Sox DH's have hit 11 home runs.
Oh gosh, that's pathetic.
Wow, that's a great stat.
Since trading Devers, Red Sox DH's have 11 home runs in 95 games.
Right.
The designated hitter, hitter.
Just again, this is the guy who hits instead of your pitcher.
So you have an opportunity to really upgrade the lineup.
It's three games says, Pedab, nothing to get alarmed about.
You alarmed Jim Murray?
Yeah, yeah, it feels like the same team as last year, just a little bit worse.
I be alarmed definitely.
The team looks on paper and I'm sorry, this sort of occurred to me late in spring training.
Not much better than last year's team if better at all.
Why wouldn't you look at this lineup?
And not even look at Caleb Durbin is allowed to get off to a slow start.
But just watch him.
Look at him and know that he didn't make the brewers out of spring.
He was not meant to be a major league player last year.
The brewers were at start of the year really slow.
We're bone dry at third and so we'll give this kid a chance.
He came up and he played all right.
And so he stuck all year and they got a little something out of him.
But he was never supposed to be this thing.
And why wouldn't you look at that?
Look at Sonny Gray, who the only reason he's here is because the Cardinals sent money along
with him.
And look at it and say, are we actually even any better than we were last year?
Why wouldn't you panic?
Are you panicking, Jenny?
Yes.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Panic is all right.
But I'd be alarmed.
I'd absolutely be alarmed at the roster.
Not the way they played or they lost two out of three.
It's not that.
What's the quality of the roster?
Well, again, they had two primary needs going into the off season.
A number two starter and a legit bat in the middle of the order, ideally one that was
right handed.
And that was while Bregman was still in the mix.
So again, you can say if you want that Bregman and Contraress are comparable.
But the fact is they didn't add either one or at least not really.
Play as the number two starter, which he isn't.
And Durban is the right handed bat and he's a 4-A player.
Like I said, you are basically the Cincinnati Reds, basically the Milwaukee Brewers, basically
the Minnesota twins and the St. Louis.
You're just one of these NL Central teams, one of these Central teams, either league
to the same.
They sort of mid market, decent clubs, except you, your payroll is greater than all of
them.
But you're roster.
I look at your roster.
There's Caleb Durban and there's Sonny Gray, Cardinals, Brewers, Spanisterio has some
upside, you know, borderline starting, you know, maybe, maybe not former Brewer, what
your team is, that's what you are.
Your first baseman comes over the Cardinals.
You're one of these nice mid market NL, AL Central clubs, congratulations.
So the kind of club your owner wants and the GM is happy to build.
That's good.
The mid market red socks.
They are.
That's what they look like.
I think that's the kind of team there.
The Boston twins.
Tom and Quincy, your thoughts?
Yeah.
I'm disgusted by the whole thing, to be honest.
And I know sometimes I get called out to over, because I overreact.
And I got called out when I overreacted about the Garrett Richards first opening day, you
know, first open weekend.
This is eerily similar to a frustration I have with this Caleb Durban kid.
The kid looks like he has no idea what he's doing up here.
And when they talk to him, I heard Beatles talk about this.
They talked about how we we as number five.
And they're like, oh, what's it like?
We're in number five.
Because no matter what number five, he goes, well, the pressure in Boston's enough, not
about the, not about the number on your shirt.
I'm like, oh, that's fantastic.
You're already freaked out about the pressure in Boston.
You haven't even played in front of a whole crowd yet.
He's right.
I have to, this team's roster constructing stocks.
They can't hit.
They can't score runs.
And now we know that even if they score five runs, the guys in the rotation can't keep
guys under five runs.
So it's a full-blown disaster.
Let's crochet on the mount.
Tom, you get a cold?
A little bit.
Yeah, I can tell.
It's a Red Sox loop.
Yeah, seriously, I like this kind of early.
Yeah, he's good.
Yeah, he's good.
He kind of a throwback.
Yeah, no, no, he can pitch.
He's not like high-end velocity.
He's not spinning out of his ass.
He just sort of controls the speed.
And it's like, lots of speed and you're a little off balance and feels like he could
throw a lot of innings.
And like, I like him.
I like the, just again, kind of a throwback.
Michael, what you're describing is what's called a pitcher.
This is called a pitcher.
It's not a guy throwing 99 is whipping it out of his ass.
So what, like watch Weissert, fastball slider, everything max has no idea where it's
going.
Then this kid gets on the mountain.
He's sort of a joy to watch.
Like he's got there's some artistry to what he does.
The hitters are off balance.
Yeah, he's great.
I love them.
You don't suck.
Like, they're not going to suck.
They don't suck.
I just don't know.
I don't think they got much of a ceiling.
No, they got more of what they had.
That's exactly what they did.
The roster is more of what they already had.
Instead of getting some players who actually upgraded their talent, they got more players
who fit the talent they had.
And if teams tried to, if teams like Baltimore sort of play to their talent level or Tampa
has one of their kind of years, like you could misplay, you know, you could easily misplay
ups this year.
Definitely.
So yeah, definitely looked at, they're probably going to be three playoff teams that
come out of the East again.
You could finish fourth in this division and the three in front of you all make it one
as a division winner and then a wild card comes out of some other division.
I mean, last year Cleveland and Detroit both made it from the central.
If that happens, the Red Sox could be parked.
Speed Abe says it's three games, nothing to get alarmed about.
Nothing to see here.
I gotta be a little, just a little uneasy.
Are you ready, Ken Jenny?
Yes.
I like the Red Sox experience more when there wasn't alarm being sounded.
Yeah, how about Tommy and Lynn?
What do you got to say today, Tommy?
All right, well, God, this is what I got to say today.
Falcon, before I get to my Bruins take, you don't have to apologize about being
in need of swimming and I'm not going from that color earlier.
You don't have to apologize.
Thank you.
You and I have the same state of mind.
We don't need to apologize to anybody, but anyway, but anyways, those are big wins
this past weekend by the Bruins and I want to see this team make the playoff
because right now they're playing going, they won two important games and they got points
yesterday in the shootout and swimming is the way he needs to carry this team.
He needs to carry the team on his back.
Him back away in passing it and I like how Zach has been playing this year.
Out of his boobs, Tommy, is how he's been playing 11 goals in March.
Out of his boobies.
But is he up for a contract or something?
Is this like, well, what is where did this come from?
If I had to get, so remember, he didn't play in the Olympics because he was concussed.
I just think he's well rested.
So he during that time, he probably just did nothing.
I just, I've never known him to be the skilled that that redirect goal that he had yesterday,
the second of the three was so filthy and I can't even tell you, you know, Mike, even
the goal that tied the game was kind of a, you know, sort of a loose puck and he picked
the corner.
I think he's up after next year if I'm not mistaken.
They play hard, you know, there's that too.
They should be tough.
They should be tough in the postseason.
They play hard.
They play that fourth line a lot.
It doesn't bother me on this team.
It bothered me with cloth and other teams, you know, it's okay to play this fourth line
a lot.
They're tough.
They're getting great goal tending.
They should be, they should be a fun team to watch in the playoffs, providing they make
it.

I want to get to the gossip.
Everything you said is right.
Now you're in mass, the Sportsbook.
Where you got to be, steal your own first, 3-2-1-out.
The Trairs, when he has struck out in his career, see if you get aggressive here and try
to send Doran, get something going.
Don run late, he digs out the lead, back in, and he's out, just popped out of first.
How to pick off.
Doran erased it first.
They hunt to kill Durbin here trying to get that first hit to be a big one.
Just die in for that first knock.
For the Red Sox down one.
Caleb Durbin waiting.
And here it comes.
Ooh, a fool.
That's his genius, that's his guess.
It's just pressing a little bit.
Not seeing the baseball.
Out of the hand and just guessing he's going to get a hit of first try.
They want the drive.
It is an anxious half swing.
If you're a brave, you still have to be careful over here.
You don't have to go in the pitch, back down a quick move.
3-2.
Swing out of his, he struck him out.
And the Red Sox failed to score.
They strand him in first and third.
First and third, 3-0.
Two outs, but gets a 3-0 count.
And then swings, the fourth pitch was right down the middle strike.
3-1.
That 3-1.
If you're going back and looked at that 3-1, we're having yet.
Yeah, no, that's second strike.
And you can hear them in the broadcast.
They're being kind.
They are.
You can tell between, oh, Brian and Lou, they want to be like,
you stink.
What are you doing?
I mean, this is a guy.
Again, if he had anything going for him, it's plate discipline.
It doesn't strike.
Swing and miss.
You know, contact guy.
Brewers are built on contact.
And he was one of those guys.
And, you know, swinging at strikes.
It's like the big thing there.
Swing at strikes.
He's, I think the ball bounced in front of the plate.
If I had to guess.
I mean, again, I think the guy is a foray player.
I don't think he belongs in the big leagues in a big market.
I'm just going by what I see in terms of ability.
And he can be a grinder.
I'm not telling you, just like the, like the, the make up.
Or I'm just telling you, ability wise.
He ain't got much Jeff and Norwood bring us back.
What do you got?
We're doing, gentlemen.
I'm not going to worry about Durbin just yet,
because you're right bottom of the order.
But he's not the problem.
But he makes me wonder.
With no fump in that lineup.
You know, what the hell happened?
How do we mismanage all of these assets?
What was worse?
The sales trade or the average trade?
Oh, that's not even cool.
Look at the trade.
Which one was worse?
That's not even cool.
You really think about it?
Well, yes.
I agree.
Because all those plays they gave.
They, they got from Debra's Relia.
Basically gone.
But they paid at length of $17 million and got back.
Nobody for sale.
That was an equally poor trade.
Okay.
No, it's not sales at the end of the line.
And he got a great year.
He pitched well last year, right?
But what's his sale was done here?
Shelf life.
Right.
And he was done.
But Debra's, he's, I off to a slow start, but he's prime.
Yeah.
Is it a prime of his career?
And again, you, you, you had signed him to a long term contract
to be an anchor to your lineup.
So you can say that he's fat, his attitude was bad,
whatever.
Get into all that.
It's not even close.
The sale, a lot of people were done with sale myself included.
And oh, by the way, you know who's here as a byproduct
of Rafi Debra's is Durban.
Didn't you trade?
Correct.
Harrison.
Harrison was the, I thought, lefty grove one.
This guy that, like Dakota.
Yeah.
He was the key, I think, for the Brewers going that way.
Correct.
So Caleb Durban's your answer is like two degrees of separation.
He's here from Debra's.
Nice call.
I said this few earlier.
I find the fact that he is the starting third baseman
for the Boston Red Sox in the American League East to be insulting.
I've never seen that.
I'm not kidding.
I've never seen a guy play before.
I heard what you said.
And I said, I got to get a look, look at this guy in my own
before I make a judgment.
Just a guy.
Okay.
And the numbers you look at and say 277, 20 OPS or whatever.
Doesn't strike out.
I thought, okay, line drives, gap hits.
You know, fine, I can live with that.
Let's see what it looks like.
You can hit him seventh.
They hit him fifth on opening day against a lefty.
And his bat is like a freaking telephone pole.
It's so slow.
He's got a slow bat.
It's so apparent.
The first time you watch him swing,
you're like, that's a slow bat.
I've seen slow bats.
That's a slow bat.
Holy crap.
He's got to be, he's a borderline big league player.
If you ask me based on ability.
I told you.
My prediction was he'd be in Worcester by Memorial Day.
I know.
I was being a little bit of a baseball snob.
I said, I got to see it myself.
I might have overshot it though.
Holy crap.
He's, he's freaking, he's barely a guy.
Mike and Wilburn on the firing of Bruce Cassie.
What do you think about him?
Mike.
Just quickly.
I love ABS.
I just think there should be some type of penalty attached to an
egregious number of missed calls like they lose some of their
Pradeem.
Like I would love to think that Stevie Buckner is living like
Bob Kraft for lonely sandwiches today because he missed so many
Paul yesterday.
That would just add to my enjoyment over the what is wonderful
and a welcome addition to the MLB entertainment.
So yeah, just to punish him.
Take away the Pradeem.
Cassidy.
Like don't you get do you get a little vibe that it might not be
just that he's a heart oh that he might be like kind of an
A-hole like.
Yes.
Above and beyond what a heart oh coaches.
Yes.
Yeah.
So so this happened before Mike actually.
Do you remember when Pat Burns was fired?
Who they who they brought in here?
Yeah.
Oh god.
Yeah.
I'm not.
I'm not joking.
I can't.
I can't.
Yeah.
That's like top love Pat Burns to crazy.
Like you know like drill sergeant Mike Keenan.
Like so it's done before.
I don't know how successful it's going to be.
I think they might if they can get the goalies headset on
string because he might have just completely turned the goalie into a
head case.
I don't know what.
Cassidy did over there.
Yeah.
He inherited a great team and they are just.
Bumbling right now and.
One thing we know about Torrella is the instant sort of turnaround
that he.
He.
You know.
He.
He.
It's going to happen.
It's just that how quickly does he grind them into a nub and.
And turn them into a team that does need a softer touch afterwards.
So by the time Burns was let go here.
He had kind of lost it.
He wasn't the drill sergeant that he came in as.
But be that as it may.
It is odd.
You do usually go for a softer touch after a hard ass.
You don't go from a hard ass to a harder ass.
Which is what they've done here.
But I still need to indictment on the players.
I'm sorry.
I mean.
That's what I think.
Cassidy goes there.
They win the Stanley Cup.
There's a good coach.
They lost.
They were one and done the next year.
But then last year they finished in first place lost in the second round.
They're back in the playoffs this year.
That's like.
They've done pretty much nothing but wins since he's gotten there.
Their.
Their point total is dropped this year, though, right?
The first three years it was high.
Has it.
Like they were near 100 points every year.
This year they're closer to 80.
Yeah.
So, you know, I think the one year they didn't hit 100 points.
So, you know.
You know, he was there.
They got 98.
So, it's.
Something's going on there.
But that doesn't mean the players are exempt.
Hour to go.
You're calls on whatever you want.
