Brewers Ace Brandon Woodruff hit the 15-day injured list Friday, with right shoulder

inflammation after his velocity dropped in a short start against Arizona.

The team already has a ready replacement, rookie lefty Shane Drollhan, who's made one

prior start this year and just earned his first big league win.

Drollhan stepped up big Thursday, throwing four emergency relief innings right after Woodruff

left early, all on just one day of rest.

The 24 ranked prospect handled 60 pitches like a pro and said the team was locked in, ready

for whatever came next.

His basketball has been sharp in recent bullpen spots, sitting where he wants it, up high

or down low at the knees.

That command sets up his whole mix, especially after a chilly start in Boston back on April

8 against the Red Sox.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee has solid backups if they keep Drollhan relieving.

Right handers, Logan Henderson, their number six prospect, dominated with nine strikeouts

over five innings at AAA last Sunday.

Coleman Crow, number 26, tossed scoreless five and two-thirds innings Thursday.

Other arms like Quinn Priester on rehab and Robert Gasser, number 16, could join soon

if healthy.

Innings, eyeing his next shot to stack wins on that first one and keep the Brewers rolling
