It's Wednesday, September 2nd. Here's what's going on in the news. The investigation into the death of 18 year old Anolan Wells is now taking another disturbing turn. Two out of stayed men pleaded not guilty to threatening people connected to the case. Prosecutors say Joseph to Marcy threatened to bomb a judge's office and harm her children while Edward Porter allegedly threatened to friends father both remain in federal custody and could face five years in prison. Two additional people are also facing related threat charges.

2:03In other news, drama outside the courthouses jurors deliberate in the Lindsey Clancy triple murder trial. Police arrested 56 year old Don Light outside. Plimuth courthouse yesterday accusing her of attempting to intimidate at least one juror she was filming the juror. The arrest came out and the jury was dismissed for the day without reaching a verdict. Light is expected to be arranged today while jurors returned to court and continue working toward a decision. Lastly, after one seriously extended deployment, the USS Abraham Lincoln is finally making its way home. The aircraft carrier is now docked in Thailand before returning to San Diego. It's roughly 5,000 sailors and Marines were originally expected to spend six months at sea. But that stretched past 280 consecutive days without a standard port visit. The return follows reports of worsening mental health conditions on board. The USS George Washington is now replaced the Lincoln in the Middle East.

5:07Her uncle and longtime manager, Barry Hankerson, is being sued by his son, Jomo Hankerson, over money and music rights. But also in the documents, Barry claims that Jomo was paid the coordinate travel for Alia's 2001 music video shooting in Bahamas. And that was the horrible, unforgettable trip that ended with a fatal plane crash that killed her and ate other people. Oh, Barry says his son, Jomo, failed in his responsibility to handle the travel plans and claims the crash could have been avoided if he had done his job. But the relationship has not been the same since Alia's passing. I hate to see this because I know all of these people. I can't remember the data that I saw that news come across my screen. I was like, my grandmother's house in Chicago and she was still alive. And I just, my knees just got weak and I just fell to the floor when it flashed across my screen because it just seemed so unreal. The makeup artist on that plane, I was my makeup artist. That was really?

6:07He just went with her for that. Like he did her a couple times. But that was my main makeup artist. His name was Christopher Maldonado and it was just, it was just crazy. So I hate to see the family. What are they, what are they saying? Like what was the fault? Like getting a small plane or overloading the plane? The plane was too heavy. And then I guess the driver of the plane hadn't really had a background check. And I don't know if some things going on with him. I'm not sure about everything. So allegedly, he was, he didn't have his license or and all these other things. And he didn't know anything about the weight of the plane. Like he was just the wrong pilot. And I'm not sure, but I allegedly they wanted to go ahead and get out of there instead of weight. And you know, because she had other things to do. So I don't know anything about the details of who plan to travel and all of that. I'm just hearing all of this now. But I think it's sad that Barry, Hankerson and her uncle and his son, Joma, we all know them that they're going through this and that, you know,

7:09they kind of blaming each other for like what happened. So we just need to keep this family lifted and prayer because we just want to remember Alia as the beautiful soul that she was because not long before that, I did a song with her and Missy Caustick and Chickens. We had so much fun in the studio. So let's just keep them lifted and prayer because this is like really, really good. And I hate that they go and add it like that. What was Alia like? Oh man, she was the sweetest, goofiest, most fun, like just a gentle heart, a gentle soul. She had been through a lot, but she didn't let it, you know, she didn't look like what she'd been through, you know what I'm saying? She was, we used to have so much fun in the studio. I mean, all we used to do is giggle and laugh and just have a good time, like very sweet, very sweet girl. That's why she had the nickname Baby Girl. Everybody loved her. There was no person in this world that knew her that didn't absolutely love her. Oh yeah. That was devastating. Sorry for your loss, my condolences.

8:09That's fair. And all in the entire family and family base. Yes, yes, because so many still to this day. She is definitely an icon, a trend setter. It's artists today that's looking like it. It sound like it. They want to be just like her. So, you know, we thank God for her for the time that we did. I have her moving on. Jill Scott, you had to postpone the final four US dates of her to whom it may concern who to whom this may concern tour after testing positive for COVID. And she had been scheduled to perform at Smart Financial Center in Sugarland, Texas near Houston on August 30th and 31st. Those concerts had been moved to September 11th and 12th. And her shows that were scheduled this weekend, Dallas had been rescheduled for September 14th and 15th. So, we wish Jill a speedy recovery as she wraps up her tour. Ricky, have you ever like been on tour and felt sick and didn't feel good? Like what would you do? Do you just push through or do you push through? Yeah, most of the time push the rain never had the cancer.

9:11So, I got sick after a show when I was in Toledo, Ohio. I had to be rushed to the hospital and I got sick on the plane. I had to get out of my seat and lay in the aisle. You know, when I got shot, the scar tissue had swollen up on my intestine. And I couldn't stop throwing up and they had to come get me off the plane and take me straight to the hospital. They wouldn't let nobody get off the plane. And I literally in the plane was getting ready to land. I had to get out of my seat and lay on the floor in the aisle. Oh my gosh. That's how sick I was. That's the only time I got sick. But most of the time I pushed through a lot of times, you know, you stumped me, beat toe up and everything. You got to before you got to watch how you move. You want to lay down in that hotel room and get your body right before you go on stage, your energy, your drink. And you got to have an animal, whatever to clean your good South or whatever because you're moving around on stage.

10:13You're stomach ache, right? You're stomach, sour, you're nerves bad. You got to perform. You got to remember all of the jokes and the lyrics and all of that stuff. They don't know where we go through, bro. Damn, no idea. We make it look easy because that's what we do, bro. That's a week. When you sick and not feeling well, are you going through the brief process? When your girl mama died, my girl mama died. I remember collapsing coming off stage. I mean, I stand in the vision. Got everybody laughing. Walk on stage and go sit in the corner and just cry because you suffer a loss. And you just have to press your way through, you know? Absolutely. I know, I know, I know, I know, I know. Now you know. Say no, say no. And look, the don't know, not you know. This is GD, this is GD, this is GD, this is GD, Ha ha, rock, cheesy in the house, man. 12:16Oh, I didn't mention he was an entrepreneur. Owner of several Wings Stop restaurants. Just to name one of his many business ventures. I'm talking about that William Leonard Roberts, the second. Now, these might surprise you because we probably use them every day. They're brutal. If you still use some of these words, people might be able to guess your age without even asking. Like if you say videotaping instead of recording. Yeah, or you still call the hashtag sign the pound sign.

13:16Oh, wow. Yeah, you don't say hashtag. You're like pound, pound, pound. Yeah. Or you say star instead of asteroid. Yeah. If you tell somebody it's half past quarter till instead of just giving them the time, you might be telling your age. Do you ever say quarter past half time? That's something my mom does that. I say everywhere you say it. Oh, no. Well, do you say this? Do you say shrink instead of therapist? Who says shrink? That's not even urban one. That's not a black horse. Yeah, we wouldn't say that. So a couple of others according to TikTok are calling your purse a pocket book. Yeah, we do that from being around our parents. Yeah, pocket book. How about calling a flight attendant a stewardess? A stewardess? What you call the mail? Have I heard that since the 70s? Yeah. Going into the beauty parlor instead of the salon. Or the beauty shop. I say beauty shop. All people say stuff like that.

14:16And this one might start a family argument, y'all. Calling the evening meal supper instead of dinner. Oh, white guy. Everybody's getting their news. Yeah, that's a supper. Because that's not even dinner. It's like before dinner. Yeah. That's your granddad and your great granddad. What time is supper? Oh, yeah. Yeah. The Bible didn't even say supper. The last supper, baby. Have you used any of those words? It instantly makes people think, yeah, they're all. Well, hmm. The whole school right now is seasoned. Yeah, like fine wine.
