Welcome back to another episode of Across the Biprost. This is your host, Dr. Norbert, floating out above the skies of London. Oh yeah? Oh yeah, I'm on the, the hovercraft thing I'm gonna do it all the way. Oh the glimp? Did you see that? The blimp that was gonna over London the other day? Was there a blimp really? Yeah, yeah, yeah, there was a blimp. Everyone was taking photos. Yeah, I don't know if it was a shield branded blimp, but it felt quite shield coded. Yeah, because like, she was falling on some hard times if she was using a blimp. So it's a downgrade. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So this is Dr. Norbert and you are. Hello everyone, I'm Jamie. I am driving the streets of London in one of those self-driving cars that instead of a driver has a guttling gun. Whoa. Amazing. All right, you're covering that down below. I'm death from above. I'm exactly. You're death from below. Believe it. Love it. Okay. Yes, if you haven't guessed it, we are going to be talking about the new shield box that came out not too terribly long ago, but more importantly landed in your flat. My hand is in my hand right
now the shield affiliation pack. So yeah, we're going to be covering this today and immediately after this episode goes live, we're going to be giving this away. Are you saying there's a free box? Yes, I am. Finally, I am saying that. Whoa. Free box. So yeah, you can, if you're a patron, then you can go on there and be in with a chance to win this box. We'll send it straight to you. I call that B. Listen to the episode then, when the box is pretty cool. That's the way that's where we're trying, been trying desperately to get together with Asma Day UK to make happen. And it's sort of happening. Yeah, you know what? I felt a bit, I felt a bit cady for on previous episodes being like AMG, don't even, oh sorry, Asma Day, don't even message us anymore. And I felt I was proven, you know, to be a little bit too kind of salty about that because the box arrived with a bunch of boxes, MCP boxes for us to give away on the podcast. None of which I asked for. No one told me that we're coming. No one's acknowledged that they've arrived. So I know what's happened, but I'm not going to look at gift holes in the mouth. So we have boxes to give away. So I've dragged no
but on here to come talk about shield. Yeah, and we're going to flesh these out. I'm going to double check on Jarvis' protocol that we haven't actually reviewed these guys yet. Because that's, that has happened in the past. They got for Jarvis now being our little repository. And yeah, so should we do a drink update for the Patreons? Please. Okay, so look, it's summer. It's hot. We're going into literally our fourth heat wave here in London, which is like bonkers. So the whiskey is just kind of not, I'm not just not feeling it. I don't think I could be faulted for that. Do you think? Is that not a summer drink whiskey? Well, I'll tell you what, you know that Glen Fiddich Vato too that I was just kind of not trying to make work and it just wasn't working for a number of episodes. I finally gave up and decided I had a, had a, an epiphany and I said, you know, I'm going to make this, I'm going to make this bad boy into some whiskey sours instead. Oh, smart. And you know what? It was fantastic and it was. Yeah, you know, I think that's how you could get me drinking whiskey if you put it a whiskey sour. These were phenomenal. Like, I don't sure I'd be paying that kind of money for
that kind of a bottle to make whiskey sours again. But, but to, rather than torture myself with something I just wasn't enjoying, this suddenly made it very enjoyable. So it did make a few of those, but I've ran out of that because I liked it so much I had a few of those. Over a few weeks, yet ladies and gentlemen, don't get, you know, ideas. He's a very casual drinker as a whole, he only drinks when he records. This is true. And so today, can you guess what that is? Can you count tell from what you're looking at? It looks like something, some sort of summary number. You got to store and everything. Yeah, this is a mojito, I mean a mojito. Oh, nice. Can we get some little like cocktail umbrellas? The sooner thing that's missing from that drink. If they were ATB umbrellas, I would totally alone. Well, they are, right? Across the barfosters rainbow colored, right? So every cocktail umbrella in a way is ATB coded. But listen, instead of those little terrain pieces we gave out last year, I think when I go to Depp DeCon, we make a bunch of ATB cocktail umbrellas. Yeah. That's smart. Okay. I did do something whiskey related though. I finally realized that I kind of silly meet constantly drinking out of
ordinary tumbler like a like a boomer. And I bought myself to stay in the whiskey spirit of things. I bought myself a proper whiskey tasting glass and I posted a picture up on the Patreon about it. So I'm looking forward to that. Enjoying the whiskey even more than I have until now. Nice. God, well, whiskey update. That was huge. Yeah. Yeah. Just a little while. So I had a lot of saved up. Yeah. Nice. Okay. Right. Let's get down to it. This is an important box because it's got a number of characters that have changed recently and also quite pivotal for the shield faction. But this is interestingly, this is also part of the new wave of numbers. So we have a CP 03, MCP 03. So this is interesting because only the third one in the new codes. Can you guess what the other MCP 01 and 02 was? Well, surely it's the star of size, right? Well, that would make a lot of sense. But we've seen a, you know, there's a lot of mysteries when it comes to these numbers. You can't automatically assume. So what is MCP? Was it 001? 001?
It's not coming up. Nothing's coming up. Wow. Oh my God. This is the first. Wait, Captain America. No, no. Yeah. Captain American, the Avengers is MCP 05 apparently. Yeah. On the floor is MCP 07. Oh, two doesn't exist either. MCO2. Oh, I mean, it's the one I'm looking forward to. The X-Factor box. There's a whole new world. Now with this new numbering of boxes, we can finally put this whole thing to bed. Oh, really? These numbers and boxes mean nothing. How wrong can you be? MCP 01 and 02 are unaccounted for. And this is MCP 03. You're right. You are right. So look, Discord people, the deinesens, the Discord deinesens needs to start digging into this because they always find this stuff. It's like some sort of promo pack in Singapore that was released. You know, and they find it and they send pictures and then they ask for a free box. And you know, we're going to give you an emoji. An emoji. An emoji. All right. Cool. Tell us what MCP 01 is. Yeah. Because once we understand that, then we can decipher what MCP 03 was for this box.
But until then we cannot. We're going to have to park it. All right. I'm glad you did that call up. Should we answer the first character? Oh, wait, no. Before they're speaking numbers, speaking of exciting numbers, reviewing this box is actually a big deal because at the time of recording, and please, please, the tabletop gods, this is out of date by the time this episode comes out. But at the time of recording, we are before the Arata. So the new health hasn't come out yet. But the reason this box is perfect for us to start reviewing is because all these characters got more health. So they were like pre-Arata health changes. Right. So we can finally talk about something and not be like, oh, I wonder if the test stamina would change. Yeah. Fair enough. That's a good call out. Good job on that one. All right. We're going to start with the leader in the box, which is Nick Fury Jr. Interestingly, his aliases named Nick Fury, Nicholas J Fury Jr. And I asked coincidentally on the weekend, are there a tournament on Saturday? I asked what the J stood for from some more Laura Oriented by people. And Laura, Mr. J, correct me if I'm wrong, but J is just J. I am a big believer of never letting the truth get in a way of a good story.
I made that up on the spot to meet you off and it worked. But doing the law dive for this episode, I've learned that it actually stands for Joseph. Joseph, too bad. Sorry. It's okay. I liked it. It was a fun time. And this is even more fun. To be corrected on air. So yeah, that's what Joseph. Who's Joseph? I don't know. Maybe he's dad. There was some stuff about his dad. His dad was in the army and he died and like, you know, saw something in tragic backstory. So maybe it's me he's named off his dad. Let's say it. That's that's that's that's and his dad is not Nick Fury seeing you. Well, let me get into the law section. All right. Here we go. Come feed. Grab your drink. All right. It look how tall it is. Yeah. It looks great. Grab your little Mahi. Oh, scoop your buttons to your chair. Okay. Sit back. So Nick Fury, the character Nick Fury first appeared in a comic book in 1963. So this is only like OG ones. Back when like comics weren't just superheroes. It was like just army stuff. You know, this was Stanley and Jack Kirby made this guy. And it was in his own comic book called Sergeant Fury and his Howling Command. Yes. I remember that series.
That may be number one. But yeah, I remember that series. Wow. So yeah, OG. Yeah, yeah, days most superheroes. I think a lot of superheroes. So yeah, pretty cool. So back then, yeah, he was an army dude. He grew up in Hell's Kitchen. Importance and note will get back to it in a minute. He was he was white. He was a white guy back then. Right. During the army, like went over to England to like train. He turned black in the army like that film with the. Oh, Tronk Thunder. No, there's no choice under moment here. Well, go on to white because now black. But yes, back then it was he was a white guy with his Howling Command. Oh, it's dumb, dumb, Dugan. You might know him. He's like a big guy with a cigar. Pretty sure he's on the Howling Command. Oh, it's base. So yeah, they were budget flight kind of it's generic, you know, typical kind of American soldiers. You know, I mean, yeah, yeah, probably remember the book. Yeah, yeah, very gritty. Yeah, nice. So yeah, in the army, went to England to train pirate troopers. Blah blah blah. I got, you know, and he was fighting
in loads of, you know, wars and stuff. He got his eye injuries. So the eye patch came in. I think it was issue like 25, 26, 27 around then. So yeah, two eyes for a long time. And he basically caught a grenade mid air and threw it back and it blew up in his face and a bunch of shrapnel got in his eye. Right. So he lost his eye, all got scarred. I'm not, it's not quite clear actually. I think maybe he does still have an eye, but it, whatever, it doesn't matter. Right. But then a creepy scientist came in to like look after him, right, and kind of getting back to full, to, you know, full health. And he was doing secret experiments on him, like kind of super soldier type stuff. And injected him with, get this. I don't know this. Injected him with the infinity formula. Ah, okay. Which is like a life prolonging thing. And it gave him longevity. So he doesn't age as much. Okay. So he ages super slowly. And apparently he has to get top ups of it. I didn't know that either. You have to top up the infinity formula every day. If he does only, he could age 60 years in one day.
All right. So he has to keep getting that infinity formula boost. So yeah, that was pretty interesting. And then, oh, speaking of his eye, so that's the comic book origin of his eye. In the MCU, Sammy Jackson's in the theory that we might know a bit more. He is always going on about how he is classified, how he lost his eye. And you know, he lost it in the line of duty. But if you've seen Captain Marvel, have you seen Captain Marvel? I did. Yeah. Do you remember how he loses his eye in that? I can't remember now. No. It was to a flurken, which is an alien, which is basically a cat with like tentacles in his mouth. Yes. Right, right. Yeah. It scratches his eye out. Oh, God. So two different origins. So I'm not following the weight versus the black version. I wouldn't have there yet. Don't worry. We've got so much lore to get. He's sound like you were done. Okay. Cool. I'm moving halfway through. This is wild. Yeah. So when was he in shield? Not yet. No, no, no. That's good. Good segue. Okay. So he went from the army to the OSS, which is for something. Oh, by the way, there's way too many acronyms in this
episode. I'm not telling you what they were stuff for. I needed good ones. So he was in the OSS, which then became a CIA. And in the CIA, he worked his way up to be the general. And then general in a theory was offered a job at shield as director. So he was offered a job that way. He kind of worked his way up through the ranks. At that point, shields stood for Supreme Headquarters of International Espionage, Law Enforcement Division. But they were like, that's a mouthful. So we need to chop that down. So they changed it to the strategic hazard intervention, espionage and logistics directorate. Okay. That's much better. All right. Remember that. There'll be a quiz later. So he's part of shield. Obviously, do always shield stuff. No, no superheroes yet, though, interestingly. It's just like, you know, the CIA just dealing with it. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. Stuff. And at one point, they capture the Punisher. He's deranged. Something's happened to him when he's deranged. He's kind of going off on one and they put him, they imprison him in a helicarrier. But obviously it's Punisher. So he breaks out. That's killing a bunch of people. And he kills Nick Fury on the helicarrier. Big like plot twist. Wow. It turns out it wasn't Nick Fury. It was an
LMD, which is another acronym, which stands for Life Model Decoy. Which is one of the cards. Exactly. Oh, yeah. So that was a big reveal that it wasn't actually him. It was a life model decoy along. And Nick returns some point. And that is when Nick starts recruiting superheroes for shield. I'm here. Putin has an LMD. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's what I think. I think that's a good thing. I would believe that. But I think that if LMDs were a real thing, they would be being used as adult toys before they would be protecting leaders. Yeah. I mean, if you had that technology, I think that would get out probably. Yeah. They wouldn't have liked Putin, I'm so sure. Cool. So that kind of concludes the white Nick Fury stuff. Right. But I'm going to ask you a quick question in the middle of this. Nick Fury has been portrayed in live action twice. Can you tell me the actors that have played Nick Fury? All I know is Sam Lee or L Jackson. Yeah.
L does a stamp for anything either. It's just out. That sounds like Losef. No. No. The other actor that played Nick Fury in live action was David Hasselhoff. So the white version though, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He didn't chop it fun to it. Yeah. I think Fury has a whole solo film where David Hasselhoff is playing the main guy. When was this? I don't know. He said, oh, does David House of Huff Nick Fury? 1998. It's not even that terribly long ago. Wow. Yeah. Wait, when was Blade? Blade is the beginning of all this. Oh, I don't know. Blade does, it's not sure after 2000, no? Because it copied all the Matrix stuff. Oh my god. It's 1998. The Matrix copied Blade for the Black level. So yeah, same year. Wow. That's super interesting. Amazing. Yeah. And I just realized in that film, there is a Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Do we have now in the Thunderbolts, right? Yes. It's right. Maybe it was another Sony film. Maybe that's why it's not Disney+. Yeah. Some moms playing Dundum Dugan.
Oh, man. There you go. We should probably watch that. See, if we had more time, we'd be doing like film commentary that these people will come up with. Yeah, we should just come to your place. We should just do this. Yeah. Just support a film commentary. Watch the air. Watch the air. I actually would do that. That would be really funny. Nice. Okay. So where am I at now? Okay. So David Hassell played him. Oh, so they've now they now call that Nick Fury that I've just been talking about Nick Fury senior, which we've seen, right? He's in MCP. Okay. Yeah. With the heart of the sense because they're hell in commandos and all that. Exactly. So when the comic book, the Old Simulta came out, the guy, the artist Mark Malar, who is very famous, Google him. He's done a bunch of amazing comics. He was a big fan of Samuel Jackson. I wanted to reimagine the character as just Samuel Jackson basically and just straight up Drew him as Samuel Jackson. And there's lots of like, I don't know if they're conspiracies or like rumors or gossip or whatever, that Marvel approached Samuel Jackson to play Nick Fury in the movies and he said no. And then they drew it like him in the comics and eventually he said yes
because of that. Right. So I don't know if that's true or not, but don't let the truth get me aware of good story. Yeah. So to know in the Old Simulta universe, he's just looks like Samuel Jackson basically. And they let a retcon this to reveal that that Nick Fury was the original Nick Fury's like secret son. So they're kind of linked and it's like the modern version of him, whatever. And then Samuel Jackson is playing him in the movies now and everyone's happy. But you may ask, why does he have the same eye patch? That doesn't make any sense. That's not her editor. Yes, it's true. There was a villain called Orion who was a who hated a big hanger on Nick Fury senior and he captured Nick Fury Jr. and has like a poetic torture device gave him the same scar as his done. Yeah. So how convenient. Yeah. So yeah, that's Nick Fury and that's my law. Can you tell me when the junior appeared? When did that happen? Oh, I don't know. When the ultimate it was like, I don't know, the ultimate, someone in discord can tell us it was like when I was a teenager, the ultimate came out because it was
very much aimed at me. I thought this was going to be an hour and he started that song from the the band you love so much. When I was a boy and you took me to the Oh, you try to quote Mike and Roman's. Yes, that's it. That's an awful attempt. I'm doing that. Yeah, no, it was a. Yeah, I was a young boy. Yeah. I don't know. It was relatively recently. But yeah, there is one comic I'm talking about though. And I'm donating something to our giveaway of this. So not only will you win the shield box, you're going to win my copy of Nick Fury vs. Shield, which is a comic book that somebody gave me a long time ago that is supposedly one of his better comics. And it's like it's old school Nick Fury and Shield of Gone Rogue. It's very Captain America too. Yeah, I was going to say because like in the MCU, it was more like he did. Nick Fury went rogue and Shield was trying to come after him. Yeah, so it's a one of those basically. It's a nice like espionage comic. Anyway, wow. It's supposedly one of his better comics. So I'm going to be giving that away. There you go. You have a lens. The box will
also win this comic. Super nice to you. Wow. Mr. Jay had a good summer obviously. Yeah, so many does well. Yeah, you're having a brat, brat patreon. So I'm talking about law for Nick Fury. What do you think? I didn't know any of that. I knew about that the World Two thing because they vaguely remember it as a kid reading that one. But I didn't understand the connection at all. So that was very helpful. Thanks. There you go. And also there's the grunts. I don't have any law for the grunts, but obviously they're just like dudes who are, you know, stations. Yeah, agents. Yeah, agents. I did say the other day to some friends. Is there anybody in MCP you think that on a good day you could take in a fight at any MCP character? And then everyone was like, no, nobody. And I said, well, I reckon I could take one of the grunts, one of the shield grunts. And they were like, no, they're like experts in martial arts and shooting and like for the hours, IA, you're right. They did. Like CIA, like, you know, fuel agents. Yeah, I have no chance. So yeah, good to know. All right, this is exciting. So look, I need to get your opinion on this because, you know, the
the plate to viewer of shield is not his leadership anymore. It seems to be invaders in a particular name or as invaders, but he does have a leadership. So should we dig into that first before we do anything? Yes, good point. Okay. So it's called last line of defense. If you have fewer VPs than your opponent, the first time each round in allied character is dazed or caled by an enemy effect after the effect is resolved, you score one VP. So you're, it catches up all the time. Yeah. Which kind of would suggest that you'd want lots of like little little guys running around because then you kind of, you know, you get more chances to have this VP to have. Well, I don't know. It's like the whole sound of engine's thing, right? Which is like sure, if you have a bunch of weenies running around dying all the time, you get to treat your leadership, but then you've got people on your team dying all the time. Yeah. So I don't think you should build into this. I think it's just a compensation. And is this not retcon to deals? Is you know, say allied
non-grunt character? Do grunts count here? Oh, yeah. Good point. Oh, it's the first time. So it doesn't matter that much. The first time each round in allied character is dazed. So even if it's the grunts, you can only get it once per round. Yeah, yeah, fair. But I'm saying just wiping out the grunts will get you this VP. Yeah. Yeah. That is pretty, pretty good. Yeah. Seems good. Okay. Because they've gotten rid of a lot of that. Weird. Okay. The second half of the leadership is if you have an equal number or more VPs in your opponent, when an enemy character damages an allied character with an attack, the ally character may spend one power. If it does, after the attack is resolved, the ally character may advance short towards the attacking character. So it's essentially like a aggressive move. Yeah. Yeah. Pay one for aggressive. Yeah. But it depends on the VP's, which is kind of interesting. It's kind of cool, right? You have to have, you have to be kind of winning. And then you get this. Yeah. Or equal, which is interesting. Yeah. Because it means that that part of the leadership is active in round one, because you're by
from zero points. So that's kind of cool. Very good point. It's an interesting leadership. It pairs horribly with some people, like some things. We can't do a shield episode of that mentioning our local shield player, Oli. Yeah. The captain of my team at WTC this year as well. And Oli takes things like Hulk and Shee Hulk in shield. And all of a sudden, they have an aggressive and that's terrifying. Or if you have a character like Bayray Bill who already has aggressive, I think it's called on a bound on his card. Yeah. Now has double aggressive. Yeah. You know, so yeah, some really cool stuff you can do with this. But like you say, it's not the most played leadership anymore. It's shielded all about invaders now. Yeah. So why do you think that is? The people feel like this is just not as good as the re-rolls of invaders. I think re-rolls are just great, right? Re-rolls are just king. Unfortunately, it's still a tabletop game. No matter how cool and interesting his character is, the re-rolls and re-running skulls is just cool. Yeah. It's just good. It's not cool. It's boring good. But when you've got a character like Nemo, you can take it. He was just a slam dunk
of a character. It's amazing in every game. Yeah, I think that's why you're seeing it. And your character is like Zima running around sometimes. So yeah. Yeah. I mean, this leadership is very good. Unfortunately, invaders is much better. Yeah. But doesn't matter. Nick Fury is everywhere at the moment. And people are not playing his leadership. So he's still a great character. I was just going to say, when we get into the card and you realize that he's still a great character to own because man, he finds a lot of how homes, he's one of the best characters to earn for sure. Yeah. He's very frustrating to play against actually. He's tanky and his phenomenal output. And it's just horrible. It's like, oh, God, what is this guy not have? Okay. Let's get into it. Stats. He has got four physical defense, three energy defense, four mystic defense, seven hit points on the front side, six on the back side. He's a fourth threat. Size two moves medium. So this is the new standard we think for four threats, huh? Yes. Yeah, I believe so. There's a lot of health. Yeah. The seven health on the front is really difficult now. Yeah. Really good. And
Nick always, he's very power-alliant. He spends power very well. So having a little bit of extra health means he now has access to that power more often. So he has very scary activations if he doesn't. That's what I've heard from people who play him when I'm most frustrated about how well he's doing. They say it's, he's still power-stripped, like he needs power. And if he doesn't get it, there's a problem. Yeah, I had that. Someone told me that and I stopped just interacting with him. And suddenly he got less scary. If you can't get the power, he can't do as much. The tricky bit for me though is to say his eight is the shield grunts which can pick what get to, but they can pick up extracts and when they when they days, they throw it themselves. You don't get to throw it like usually. So I find it very frustrating when they have one because it's like you can't and they keep coming back for him. So like until he gets wiped out, they just keep coming back and taking extracts. It's really annoying. Yeah. Yeah. They are really good. So okay. So we're saying that these stats are very solid now for a fourth threat. Yeah. Very good. Okay. He's got loads of attacks. All really good. First one is a physical attack
called Tactical Knife. Range 2, 5 dice doesn't cost anything because it's his builder. He gains power equal to the damage dealt. He's got a wild bleed on this one where you get the bleed condition after the attack has resolved and he's got a wild pierce which is great. Changing one of the oh wait, changing one of the defend, oh yeah, changing one of the defenders critwiles or shields to a blank. Yeah. This is very similar to X23s attack. Oh yes. Identical. It's identical to X23s builder. Okay. And so you think it's good. It's extremely good. It's because of the pierce, right? Pearce is amazing. Yeah. Yeah. And it's a builder. So you know, the series is quite high. I don't think you do it very often because you know us here at ATB we're really like Gainers and he's got a Gainer. So I don't think you do the tactical knife very often but you're not sad to do it. It's a good attack. Yeah. I feel like it's like a mid-game then game kind of thing because of its range. You know, it's when things get close up. Yeah. Close up. Close up at dirty. Yeah. All right. Yeah. The Gainer.
It's another physical attack called Fury Special. It's range 3. Also 5 dice though. It doesn't cost anything. It is a Gainer as you mentioned where you get one power regardless. And it's got a wild pierce. Oh yeah. That's fantastic. Gosh. Yeah. Very good. With a pierce. Same number of bass. I didn't realize this had a pierce. Yeah. That's a very good attack. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Range 3. He's a medium bass as well. So yeah. Extremely good attack. And Gainer. Gainer is just great because of the rest of his kit. It's all very cheap. So you know, okay, if I have two power, I can Gainer and I can do something else that costs three. You think it's at the grunts. He's a small bass. Oh, sorry. He has a small bass. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All those shield agents just look at the same teammate. I'm telling you, direct or not. Yeah. That's an amazing one. I'm sure he's using that one most of the time. Not better. Yeah. Recognize it because it's so similar to the other one. I didn't realize that there were different. That's similar. He's been hit with knives and gums. Okay. But then he's got this wild spender. This spender is nuts. Oh, so good. I hate it so much.
It's a physical one called Lead from the Front. It costs three power. So not that pricey for his bender right there. Three range, seven dice this time. But after this attack is resolved and allied shield agents within three of this character may advance short towards the defender, then the shield agents may make up pistols attacked, targeting the defender. So basically it's just another attack coming off the shield agents. Yes. Yeah. Well, the move to help them make sure they get to attack somebody, but or get near an extra act as opposed that's on the floor. But the point is is that the spender gives you two shots essentially. Yes. And I think he gets some benefits as we go along this as well. But then he gets the seven dice into them for three power is great. A centimation spender. I'd happily pay four power for this by the way. So he gets the seven dice. Then the grunts move. They make the four dice and then we'll get to it in a minute. But he gives the grunts a re-roll. So the grunts are actually in five dice. So this is actually like 12 dice you throw out your opponent for three power. So good. Yeah.
Yeah. And you know, especially when you dice him, he's got loads of power to do this twice routinely. Yeah. Yeah. I've played him a couple times and when you get a double spender turn with the grunts on the board in place, it's brutal. You're just throwing dice. So just so much is just going through. It's crazy. It's yeah. It's a hail of dice, which you don't usually survive. Okay. This is the other frustrating part about him. He's got an active superpower called Call in the Calvary for two power. If there is, oh, that's that's some bad grammar there. MG. I'm sorry. It says if there is no allied shield agents in play, it should be are right. Yeah. Okay. Guys, if there is no allied shield agents in play, place it in play within three of this character with an activated token, it may immediately interact with one extract token. It is part of your squad. So even though it can't do shooting and moving because it's activated when it comes in, it still gets to do the important part, which is pick up the bloody extract of the player. Yeah. Place them within three of Nick and then their medium base and then they can interact. You can grab extracts from miles away. You know, there can be one right behind you and you'd be like,
go get that. I'm going to move this way and go forward like yeah, it's so good. This is a crazy good ability. The two power is nuts. It's nuts. Okay. And lastly, he's got a an H super power called director of shield. When an allied shield agent is within three of this character, it may reroll on if it's attack or defense dice. Dissially, when the agents are within three of this character, deal damage or suffer damage from enemy effect, this character gains one power. So there you go. That helps mitigate his power problems. For sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty good. You know, it's really fun. I mean, it's really thematic. It's well-constructed interaction and everything. It's just very good. And so yeah, this is why you find them splashed everywhere, don't you think? Yeah. You sound exhausted, babe. And I understand why. Nick is just the ultimate toolbox. He's so good. No matter what happens in the matter, Nick seems to be fine with it because he's just got so many tools, which I like from a thematic point of view. I always have a go at Oli because I'm like, we're playing a superhero game. Why did you keep playing guys with guns? This is really boring. But them having all this tactical
stuff and all the tactics cars we're getting to, it feels right. It feels like these guys with guns should have smart things they can do in a world of superheroes. So I love it. And yeah, he can just like with the new source extracts, the agents are amazing on that with all kinds of tricks, which we're not even going to go into a lot of on this podcast because there's just so many. You could do a whole episode on just like Nick Fury, Jank, they can be done. Yeah. So yeah, they're incredible. You're never sad to have Nick Fury, basically. No. You made a really good point though about source extracts, anything about that because they interact for free that power attacks that the source extracts have doing apply to him anymore. Yeah, exactly. And if you have nidkin them next to each other on like a set is like a bunch of sources in the on the midline, they could be within three of each other, both pick up a source each. And then if you're opponent hurts or daisies or you're sorry, chaos, the grunts, Nick then gets a power, which means next round he has two power to just summon them back on the source point. And they grab their source and then he can go into a gainer and grab his source. So he's just
constantly scoring two VP's like passively while shooting people. And then oh no, you day's Nick, he's going to double spend you now and probably kill you back. He's exactly right. He's got a hundred percent how that goes. Yeah. Right. He's got so much utility. Yeah, he's very, very good. And if you feel like playing him, just splash him anywhere, he'll be good. Right. Let's talk about the shield agents really quick. As you mentioned, they're on a medium base. They are, they have two health, they're moved medium size two. They only have one defense across the board. So it's a grown character we've ever reviewed. Has it? Really? Yeah. Okay. All right. You got any lore on the shield agents? Yeah. Steve, Marie and Graham. They came up to me. They came up to me expecting his first. I heard he is. Yeah, he is. Yeah. Graham's three weeks away from retirement. So when they came, it's Graham that goes past. Yeah, they came up through the academy together. You know, they're good friends. Yeah. Who's the guy in the rope? The rope master.
A Steve. All right. Okay. Good old Steve. Steve. Yeah. He's always had a pension for his ropes. Okay. These guys have a pistol attack, which is great. It's range three. That, I mean, that's why it's good. It's range three. It's four dice, which is typical for grunts. But as we talked about, they get a reroll, which makes it more like five. Which is really good. Yeah. Invaders, they get more, I think, and they can reroll skulls. Yeah. That's right. So as we said, they have an innate super power called by by you time, which is when they drop the objective token, you the controlling player get to place it instead of your opponent like normal. That makes me think of the scene in Rogue One. You know, in Darth Vader's chasing the like floppy disk down a corridor. Yeah. Yeah. And the the rebels are like passing it through the door. That's what these grunts have been. They're like, oh, I got gladiators. Take this. Take the extract. They're just dying the way of it. That's true. That's a good that's a good analogy. And then the others in a super power is called shield operatives, which is basically saying they cannot interact with secures. But it also don't
have to pay when they interact with extracts. They just pick it up. So yeah, we've talked about them otherwise. That's all they have the grunts rule, which I mean, maybe we don't need to go into too much, but like look at the rule books for grunts. They have a bunch of rules aren't on the card which you need to know about. Actually, playing against someone that we can't who was playing with infinity stones for the first time and didn't realize you got power upon infinity stone because that's in the rule book. You know, she has to kind of remember some of these things that might have hidden. So yeah, grunts have their own rules. When you deploy them, they have to be deployed together. The grunts go first every single time. So yeah, it's well looking up the rules for that. If this is your first time playing grunts. Very true. Thank you. There's one other point I wanted to make about the grunts. Oh, if you're looking at rules when it says like we pointed out in Nick's leadership, it'll say now non-grunt allied characters to exclude them oftentimes. If it doesn't say non-grunt, they count as characters. Yes. Cool. All right, Nick's got some phenomenal tactics cards. So many good ones that you can hardly use them all. But we're going to talk about the one that it is 100% always found with him. I've never ever seen him leave home
without it. Yeah, for sure. Clearly almost tactics cards. I'm a partisan out team for nations. Nations had this special rule where you can't share tactics cards. So you have to divvy up all of the restricted cards. Pat's playing shield and is taking no restricted cards. Because Nick's nicks and why is she just shield cards are so good. Pat's like, I don't need any restricted cards. Don't worry about it. I'll just do five shield cards. So that gives you an idea. And again, I'm really okay with that because I think in a world of superheroes, the guys with guns should have a bunch of cool tricks and cards obviously. So I think that's really cool. And a bunch of cards that have been banned have become shield cards. Medpak is bail for medicine now. Stuff like that. So yeah, it's really cool. I love it. But we just can look at Nick's specific cards today. Yeah. So this one is better when he plays it within shield. But he can take it wherever he goes because it's unaffiliated. And it works a little bit differently when he's splashed. It's a reactive card, which says, sorry, this is I in the sky. It's a reactive card when an ally character is targeted by an attack. Nick Fury can spend three power to play this card. The target of character makes a
short advance. If at the end of the advance, the character is outside of the attack's range or the attacker's land of sight, the attack ends. If it is the attacker's activation and the attack did not target multiple characters, the attacker may make another action. So basically, what this is saying is that you get to and because it says when an allied character is targeted, it could be himself as well. Yeah. Right. Doesn't say another allied character. Yes. Correct. So whether he gets targeted or his friend, he's though has to spend the three power. They get to move short and if the attacker can't see them or they're outside the rage of attack, Nick or that character, the target escapes the attack. Yeah. Importantly, if it's a spender or for some reason you had to spend power, that power remains spent, correct? Oh god, don't ask me that. I think spenders are refunded. I'm fairly sure spenders are refunded, but there are weird effects like what if it says the next attack gets extra dice like jogging or when he moves, he gets extra
dice on his next attack. If you iron the sky that the next attack part has been cleared so he loses his dice. Okay. This will trigger a lot of rules questions in your games. Yeah. Be a good thing through your player and diligently learn how this card works because it will help your games. That's very good advice. Yes, a strange interaction. Okay, cool. The only thing that's different when it's played within shield is that you get to return the card to your available team tactics cards during the cleanup phase and can play it again this game. So he constantly gets to play it over and over again, which is also very thematic. Love it. It's part of shield. Yeah. Very cool. It's very cool. Yeah. This card, again, I was big fan of this and how somatic it was. Now Nick himself is like flying like a superhero at seven stamina. I'm like, oh, it's a bit good to be good now, guys. But yeah, very cool card. And people take this even outside of shield. They don't care. This is like come back because it's still it's game winning. If you get it off at the right time. Oh, yes. Very frustrating. Okay. Cool. That was done. Next, what is the life model decoy? Which we talked about, which is a lot of fun to hear about in the lower section.
It's a shield card though. And it's active. So Nick Fury may spend three power to play this card. Nick Fury gains three LMD tokens. Each time Nick Fury is targeted by an attack, shuffle the tokens reveal one at random. If the token has an LMD on the back, you may reroll any number of the attacker's studies. Cool. It has Nick Fury on the back. The attack continues as normal. That's kind of funny. At the end of the round, remove all MD tokens from the character. Very cool. You're always talking about your time playing D&D. This is a manga of Mirror Image. Oh, yes. My hit me. My hit one of my clones. Yeah. I think the only reason you don't see this card is because there's just so many other good ones. And maybe this is not like the least of good, but still good. Yeah, for sure. This is a very good card that I've never seen. Yeah, it's a very, very good card. Yeah. I mean, that sums up shield cards, I remember Curtis from Cable's Conquest was saying the other day that he opened up his box of Nick Fury and all these cards came out and he was like, oh, these must be like old cards that
have been rotated out. Nope. They're still legal. You just don't see them because he comes with I in the sky, now reposition. If you're playing invaders, you got that as well. So yeah, you just no space for this card, but this is very, very good. Very good. So next one though, is one that could play against me just as past Saturday. And it was really efficient. I have screaming about his car for so long and no one's listening to me. It's such a good card. It is. It's called reposition. Nick Fury may spend two power to play this card, which is nothing, two power. Great. If an allied shield agents character is on the battlefield, place an allied Nick Fury within one of the allied shield agents character. It's just an asteroid M. Like straight up essentially, but it's better because you could be holding an abstract. Oh, yes, it doesn't say that right. Yeah. And yeah, you know, you can and also keep in mind when you activate them, you move the grunts ahead of the parent. Yeah. Good point. So you can double move those bozos is somewhere. Yeah. Meaning based, meaning based, meaning move, right? Yeah. So that
long gone. This guy, you just repositioned right next to them. That's so cool. I didn't think about that. And all but yeah, that's a great point. Yeah, it is so good. I mean, even like, and a sort of dumb activation of this is St. Nick's got a bunch of power and the grunts are dead. He can cool the cavalry in, right? Place them within three, which is quite far and then repositioned to where they are now. Yeah. So even that is good, right? Yeah. Yeah. Does Ali use this card? He must. This sounds like an Ali card. I don't know. Yeah. I mean, Ali, Ali is most playing in Vader's at the moment. But yeah, I mean, this is this is after I know Sky, we position is his second best card, I think. And there's some Jank. He can now do on salvage supplies, that extract that everybody loves to hate. And like, if you can get Nick extra power, you can use reposition to steal your opponents extract and stuff. And like, there's all this, all this like crazy stuff you do. That sounds like Jank. Yeah, it's real Jank. I think it involves in humans. And that's the real Jank. But it's this card's great. And to find you can do it holding an extract. It feels like an oversight. It's so good. Yeah. Love it. All right. Brilliant. So I hope we sold
you on Nick Fury, Jr. It definitely worth the hype. Yeah. That wasn't hard. Hiding him up, was it? No. He's really good. All right. So we're going to move on to an X character in the box. But before we do so, we're going to do a little ad break. Oh my god. We do little ad break music. I should get on that. Okay. Cool. Yeah. That'd be amazing. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. So we are promoting a colab that we've got going on with crossfire games, right? Yes. Yes. Yeah. Tell the people at what is crossfire games all about? Crossfire games are accessory, tabletop accessory makers. They've made some stuff for Killteam, Nick who designs and builds everything and all that stuff is is a Killteam world champ, actually. Yeah. One of the best. And he's recently come over to Marvel Christ's Protocol. And I was like, oh, let me give you an intro game. I'm really good intro games. I mean, he was there and he was asking me really specific questions about tokens and base sizes and how big the models are. And I was like, you're not a normal new player.
What do you want? And turns out he was just doing research for all these new accessories that he's been making for MCP. So I've given him loads of thoughts and loads of input, but he's an absolute genius and he's invented a bunch of really cool stuff to like store tokens, store models. He's invented the way for the rulers to like slide into each other. You saw it a week. Yeah. Very much. Yeah. Really cool. So yeah, I love a compact setup because I travel a lot for MCP and I want to also go into one backpack. And he's given us like sets, which are incredible. And we were playing with them at the weekend. They're really cool. So yes, if you go to Crossfire games and oh, I got a forgotten discount code, Dolbert. All right. While you're looking it up, I will explain to people how impressed I am with him because for some reason, I've got to wait. Norbert's very hard to impress with like accessories and trinkets. He's doesn't think anything's good. No, I do have very high standards. Because it's like you, I like to travel compactly. I like everything in his place and everything as tight as possible so that I can get through security and just get around town. I mean, you know, on the tube. It's crowded sometimes at rush hour. So
yeah, what I'm impressed about him as well though is he's very sincere about it being good for gamers. He's a gamer himself. He's literally learned how to play MCP and has come to a tournament in game nights and to a tournament just as past Saturday. To maybe come into WTC. We've always convinced him. Yeah. Just so personally, Sam enjoying it obviously, but he's also bringing all of his prototypes with him and actually playing with them and trying them out and seeing how it works. It doesn't work. Is there enough space on the table for the things? You know, are they legitimately as helpful as he thought they would be in his head? And he's got an amazing 3D sense of space to be able to make all these things that kind of fold into each other. I was a genius. Yeah. It's one of these guys that have that kind of a mind. So yeah, we're proud to sponsor him and he's been really good to us. He is just starting out. So what I mean by that is his first offerings is like the full set of tokens and like a token box essentially, but he showed us the prototypes of the carry-in cases plus token boxes that are going to ultimately coming out. And they're just a little bit taller than a
normal lunch box, American lunch box and carry everything, including a dice tray. It was nuts. Yeah, it was so good. It looks like I can carry two rosters too. Yeah. I'm really interested in that because I'm going to nation soon. I'm playing in different events. I need to take two rosters and they'll fit in like a real tiny box. So yeah, I'm really excited for that. All right. Where should they go and what's the code they should use? So there is a URL in our, I guess episode description. Is that what they call it below the episode? You can click on that crossfiregames.co slash diskhouse slash by frost or when you're on Etsy, you can use the code by frost to get 5% off or you can go straight to the crossfiregames.co website and get 10% off if you use the code by frost. Yeah, we highly recommend it. We're using them. Literally, we love them. Yeah, very good. All right. Cool. Crossfiregames, everybody. Right. Let's get into Hawkeye. Hawkeye, I just finished reading this book. Hawkeye, my life is a weapon. Oh, I was just about to recommend that. I'm trying to do this thing. I recommend a comic per character. Oh, that's nice. That's the one. Yeah, everyone says that's the one to read, right? Yeah. I read it and then I donated it to the
price pool this best Saturday. Nice. Good old AJ got it. It couldn't go to a better guy. Actually, he was really excited about that. We got us talking that we should be giving away more comic books for prizes. It's really cool. Or at least I like graphic novels if we can step up to that. That's what I meant. Yeah. Oh, dude, is it me? Because I haven't been there in a complete like story as opposed to a random comic. Yeah. And I'm seeing all those little hard to get into. But yeah, like, because you know, now you can be like, cool, I'm going to read the best Hawkeye story, which is my life as a weapon. Yeah. Really cool. So Hawkeye is known as Clinton Barchen. What can you tell us about Clinton? Clinton. I don't know. I was short for Clinton. Yeah. Yeah. No, no. Clinton is Clinton. Yeah. Do you know anyone called Clinton? I know somebody named Clint who played War Machine in Florida. But I'm not sure if his official name is Clinton or not. Okay. There you go. All right. Cool. Well, I've got some Hawkeye law for you. Ready for the tragic backstory. Drum roll, please. Oh, he's in the circus, right? First, he was an orphan. A tragic backstory. Of course. Yes. So he was an orphan and he was from where? Hell's kitchen. Yeah, probably. Yeah. He's one of the OG heroes, right? So they're all
from New York. I'm guessing. But yeah, he was in an orphanage. Any broke out, ran away from there as orphans do, I guess. And he joined the carnivores. He's a carny. And that's where he learned archery and acrobatics. Ah, okay. Cool. So that's cool. And the joke about him is that despite being around all these super, super heroes, he's just a dude. Just a dude. Which, if you think about it, is even more impressive, right? I thought Hawkeye was lame growing up. Yeah, did you? It's funny because I feel like he gets more respect than like Cyclops does. Oh, I'm so, yeah. And the MCU, Hawkeye's so cool. Yeah. So it's kind of funny. But yeah, that's his big thing. That's the meme. If you're a geek, you gotta say that, you know, Hawkeye's lame because he's just guy with a guy. Yeah. But yeah, but he's listening. He holds his own, right? Yeah, exactly. Yeah. In fact, that's a lot of what that, my life is a weapon is about. Oh, really? Yeah, it's about a being human. Okay. That's cool. Is that always, is this dog in that lucky? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Cool. Nice. Yeah. Because I know he's got a dog called Lucky. Cool. All right. So yeah, he is at the carnival. And there is something goes wrong. I think a riot like malfunction or something. Anyway, someone needs to come save the day. And I am man shows up and saves the day. And Hawkeye gets really jealous of that. And decides like, this guy is so special. I could be a superhero and he makes himself a suit. So he makes himself the Hawkeye suit with the big like, you know, pointy, like arrow thing, mask thing. Right, right. Yeah. So he makes that. And he goes out, and he goes, I'm going to make some gadgets. That's what I need. Gadgets. I'm not going to shoot arrows. I'm going to make some gadget arrows. And what is the first gadget arrow he makes? One of those suction cup arrows. Okay. Of course. The rope on it. You know, plastic sixties. Gadget. So he goes out into the streets and he stops the bank robber. And the police show up and Clint is stood there over the money bag. And the police are like, he's a bad guy. Get him. And he runs away. And he's like, no, no, it wasn't me. No, he runs down the street. And then car pulls up and inside is Russian spy Natasha Romanov. And she is like, get in. I'll help you.
And then she gets in. They have a bit of a like fling, a bit of a romance thing. And basically, she she's a, she's a Russian spy and she convinces him to help her take down Ironman. So then two of them team up. And he's like, yeah, I hate that guy. He's like, show up and save the day. He's not special. So the two of them team up to go find Ironman. Ironman just kicks their butts repeatedly. They don't even get close. It's just the old school Ironman where you like literally like the bucket like a tin. Yeah. Yeah. I think he was red and yellow, but it's still like a big brick like tin. You know, they thought was cool in the 60s. It was like a, a giant barrel with jets. Yes. So yeah. And then they get beat up all the time. And Black Widow gets hurt in one of the fights. And Hawkeye kind of saves her and I drags her away kind of thing. And it's the style of their redemption arc. And Hawkeye is like, I see, I'm going to join the Avengers. I don't like this. It doesn't feel right. I don't like his life for crying. And because he saved Natasha, she falls for him and they have this whole thing. And she will get into that on her lore, actually.
So I'll save that. Okay. Then they basically join the Avengers, which at the time, I didn't actually realize this. The Avengers were Captain America, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Oh, okay. That's pretty interesting. So Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch being brother and sister, right? Yes. Brother and sister, but not even at that time. Oh boy. As a whole other lore thing. I was wondering if we ever did a lore for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, we're in trouble. That might have to be enough to dark episode. They have some real messed up lore. You wish. Few whiskeys and dim lights. Yeah, I might have to do that. A picture of only a sorry. That one. Yes. And then we know about, we've actually reviewed Hawkeye twice on this podcast. Oh my god. Did you check it? Oh my god. Did we? No, it's a trick question. It was Ronin. Okay. So he had his stint as Ronin, which, yeah, he goes dark and starts getting people becomes like an assassin. You see a little clip of it in end game. He keeps going back and forth. He just gets aside. Yeah. You know, for us bad, not good, then not bad again. Now he's back to being good, I think. Yeah. Yeah. It's complicated. It's complicated again.
Yeah, exactly. But my favorite appearance of Hawkeye, my favorite version of Hawkeye is in Old Man Logan, where he shows that Old Man Logan is set in like a post-pocalypse of future, where basically everyone, every superhero is dead. Hawkeye's alive though, but he is blind. So he's hanging out with Logan and going around. They go on a big road trip. He can still hit shots though, because he can hear real good. Right. Okay. And I think in the MCU, they flip that. I think he's going deaf in the MCU. Is that, did I make that up? Maybe. I don't know. Is Hawkeye deaf in the MCU? There's a thing in his solo show. Yeah, he's great. He was hearing aids. Okay. So he's not, sorry, he's not deaf for sure. In his solo show, yes, yes, yes. And that's where he's training his replacement though, the lady, the college shop. Kid Bishop. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The other Hawkeye. Who's coming soon, actually? Kid Bishop, they announced that. Oh, cool. In the gaming mean. Yeah. Right. Cool. Um, cool. So yes, that is Hawkeye. That's complicated. We're more complicated than just a guy with both. Exactly. He's got levels to him, man. He's got some depth. Um, yeah. And then I was
going to recommend my life as a weapon by Hawkeye. By Hawkeye, sorry. The comic, the last Hawkeye in it. That is apparently the comic to read about him. So yeah. All right. Let's check out. I'm looking at these stats and ready. I'm gonna laugh because it fits right into the internet meme. Oh boy. He is a three thread. Okay. So that's, that's gives him a little saving grace. Um, he has, four physical defense. That sounds good. Two energy, two mystic. Uh-oh. Wapwap. Just a guy. Just a guy. Just a guy. Very, you know, well, well buff guy, but he's just a guy. Yeah. He says to any moves medium. Uh, he's got five health on the front side, six on the backside. But this is noteworthy, right? Because you know, I've talked, yeah, because you, no one used to like him at all in the old days before he got his health buff. And now, now everyone loves him. Well, that's a good point. Let's talk about that. Yeah. I'm going to open the stage. This is, it's time for you, mate, to have your run. I've had enough rounds about me. In some of this
podcasts, I think you need to have your run now about health changes. Oh, really? Did I have one? Where you all, yeah. Okay. I'm just saying, yeah, that people are, are, um, I'm anticipating people are going to be inordinately angry when their random character doesn't get like major superhero, power buffs and extra attacks and all this other jazz that they've imagined in their head they deserve. Yeah. And it's the time for cool to me. Ra hasn't come out. But sometimes it comes out, they were all as happened. So you can actually tell no, but now if he was right, well, people are angry when it came out. Yeah. And instead they have to deal with just having one or two health added to their character instead. And my rant is, is that those things, while very small changes on paper can be massive when it comes to the utility of a character and Hawkeye is the poster child for 100% yeah, because what was he before? Was he full? Yeah. Full four four four five maybe? Yeah, four five or four. Oh, actually, it's Jarvis. I think it does the, yeah, here we go. He was four five.
He stamina increased from four to five on the healthy side. And then five to six. So he's four five and now he's five six. And he's phenomenal now. I mean, you know, he's a still three threat. Don't get me wrong. It's not like he's stomping around killing Thanos. But he, you find him in places outside of his faction. He is, he is a ally to a lot of them though. Avengers, Defendants and Shield, you see him in all of those places. And he's really, first of all, he's really annoying because of how far away he can be and give out all these bloody conditions all the time. And secondly, when you then go in to try to get him, it's not so easy anymore. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, it doesn't just fall over to a stiff breeze now. No, no. And because of his other kit, his other kit then lets them do work until you have to devote yourself to him. And you have to devote a lot to him. So yeah, man, I'm hoping that's the people start to realize that. It's the same. It's going to be spoilers. I think we know that Ghost Spider is getting the same treatment. Nothing's changed on her. Except she gets more health. At least one, not sure about two,
but I think one, right? Did she get, I don't know what's been seen. Yeah, what's been leaked. But we know, we know by now, there's evidence come out. She got some health. Yeah. And she's another one who's way the hell back, super relevant in the game, regardless. So now you have to go digging down into her and you can't just one shatter anymore in the hopes of just ignoring her. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. You're right. The whole guy is the post-child for what extra health can do. I think Black Widow as well, the one we're about to talk about, is also, you know, nothing changed on the card except health and they're incredible. Like so, so good. So yeah, I think that if, you know, if you're not excited about the erasure that hopefully just happened and there was like however many characters that got extra health, maybe look closer and try some characters on the table because yeah, one or two extra health can completely change how someone works. Yep. Yeah. All right. What is the hot guy doing that with his extra health? Well, he's got just one attack. Huh. Good at this. One attack. That's all he needs and he's still so relevant. He's got an arrow shot. It's a physical, no, I beg your pardon. It could be either a physical or energy
attack he gets to choose before choosing the target. It is range five and five hit dice doesn't cost anything. He gets power equal to the damage dealt and excitingly, he's got a wild trigger called full quiver. The defender gains one of the following special conditions if that wild comes up. Bleed, poison, shock or slow. There's just to show his like different arrows that he's got, right? Right. Fun. Can I load loading each one like I'm a hit him with a shock arrow. Yeah. Be cool if you could choose that before the attack. That would feel better, right? I was like, I want to hit you with a shock arrow. That would make his loading the right arrow. Okay. Yeah, very cool. Very very versatile. Yeah. So he's just keeps loading you up on conditions at the same time he's doing a fair amount of damage to you. Yeah, five dice is no joke. No. Yeah. This guy spikes me all the time and giving out a slow from range five is a big deal too. Because they ain't coming after you. If there's someone, if there's a charge, I come into a wild jute just give him a slow from range five. I'll see you in two rounds, buddy. Yeah, exactly. Oh, man. All right. So let's look at his superpowers. They're even better.
He's got a active one called hook arrow, which is like signature. It's only two power and you could place this character with a three of its current position. I can only be used once per turn. So the classic thing is if he has to, he walks forward, shoots something and then hook hours back onto the point that he's going to now be sitting and scoring for you. Yeah. 100%. All suction cup arrow. Yeah. The law you choose to believe. Yeah, this is insanely good. It's a web swing. Yeah, web swing. For a character who stays at range five the whole time and you finally get there and chase him. I'm hook arrow in over here now. Bye. Yep. So good. Yep. He can grab an extract and hook arrow away with it and move move hook arrow away. Yes. Nasty. Very good. He's got a other super power active one called trick shot. So annoying. For what power? The next arrow shot, which is his one attack. The next arrow shot attack this character makes ignores line of sight and the defender doesn't benefit from cover. You're not having a positioning. Yeah. He's a trot. Can he's on that?
I can see you. Yeah. And no defense extra bonus for you. Yeah. No cover. Oh, God. And a great name as well for a trick shot. Cust one not once per turn just always does it. Yeah. horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Very good. And lastly, he's got a reactive super power called past draw, which is also just one power when this character is target value and attack. If the character is not within three of this character, this character can use a super power and Hokai immediately makes an arrow shot attack, target the attacking character. So in Cyclops, rocks up and tries to hit him every five. He's like, no, that's so fast. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the most annoying thing as well is you can like obviously you get attacked in your activation. So he could just kill you. Yep. If he doesn't kill you, he can give you shock. Yep. Before you attack him. So the attack you're about to make is worse than it was before. And he's just hit you with an arrow. So annoying. Yeah. It's terrible. And despite all this, all those great stuff on his card, for some reason he seems to have oodles of power. They didn't know what to do with all the time. Yeah. Well, he's got no
spend though, right? Yeah. And the super powers cost two one and one. He's just covered in power after all times. Yeah. Because he's ranged five. He's basically always attacking twice. Yeah. So he always has power. You can always spend it. Yeah. It's crazy. He has too much power. He has way too much power. Yeah. So the super powers could cost three to two and he's still be fine. So for some reason, you need a battery on your team. If you have into synergies without it somehow, uh, he's your man. He's always got it. He loves to power to give away. He loves to pass give away. Power to spare. He's a virus. So anything else about Hawkeye? Just can't seem to miss. Was it shot at ran 18? It was a shot 18 hit 18. Just can't seem to miss when he plays golf. Yeah. I hate this guy. He is haunting me so much. I screened the C word at our last tournament because Grant's Hawkeye spiked me to death in our first game. And then our second game continued to spite me to death. I was like, can he take a break? Please? It's so good. But it's just it's the opportunity and we should have spoken about this in during Nick Fury, actually. So let's bundle these together.
MCP dice. You are rewarded for just continuously throwing dice, right? Yeah. Because of the exploding critics mechanic, you'll just just keep rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling, and if you roll 20 attacks in a game, you know, two or three of them are going to spike. So that's what Hawkeye is because he's always in range five. And he's got the web swing. He's not in range five. So he's always attacking twice. And then with the grunts throwing four dice with a re-roll. Nick throwing a bunch of dice. Like you just keep peppering them with dice. And yeah, most most your attacks probably won't do much, but some just win you the game by exploding. So yeah, he's one of those characters. Yeah. Of all his affiliations, I don't think he has a favorite. I think he's good and all three. Avengers defender is shield. Yeah, I agree. He's great in all those. Yeah, I saw him in a, oh God, I saw him in midnight suns. Grant was playing in midnight suns because under Elsa. No, sorry. It was like, and strange. It's both, it's bad in both. But under Doctor Strange, where you give out hex, right? He can shoot you with an arrow, deal damage to you, get a wild like you are now slowed and hexed. Yeah, like brutal. Hawkeye was, what I had my apocalypse rampage, right? With just constantly like just destroying people with
apocalypse. Hawkeye was the one thing that counted me. Yeah, just hits you from age five. You're slowed, you're hexed. That apocalypse is doing nothing. So yeah, he's incredible. All right, onto the last character, Black Widow, aged of shield. She is also known as Black Widow 2. Black Widow 2. Colloquially. Colloquially. She is affiliated with A-Force, Avengers, and shield. And she's a three threat. Her name is Natasha Romanov. Did they change, didn't they? Have they? Yeah, scroll down to the bottom. Was it this one? Or... No, it was the other one. Black Widow 1, they changed the name. I think she was Natasha Romanov and they changed as a Romanov. No kidding. I don't know why. Anyone that's called Contelus Why? Is it MCU thing? I don't know. Not sure. It was one of the first derailles. Maybe the first derailleur in an MCU. Maybe it's just typo. Yeah, maybe. I'm just going to look up here. Yeah, sure enough. Black Widow 1 was changed from Roman over to Roman off. Maybe it's to align with the MCU. Yeah, someone tell us if you know.
Yeah, it means all three Black Widow's are Natasha Romanov, which brings, they all, like they can't be played together. Yeah, and certain tactics cards, though, which be used by any of them. Yes, yeah, sure. Cool. Okay, so yes, we'll go into some lore. This is obviously the agent of shield era. So this is the more heroic version, I think. Okay. Although saying that, Black Widow 2, sorry, Black Widow 3 is pretty heroic, right? The Black Widow, they're all heroes, they're all heroes. But yeah, agent of shield, I guess it's the shield part, not the Avengers version. That's the idea. Yeah. So yeah, we touched on it earlier. Natasha is an ex-Russian spy, and had that little fling with Hawkeye, where she kind of convinced him to come and work for her, and it was, you know, the Russians going after Iron Man. She got her in the fight, Hawkeye saved blah, blah, blah. She then defected to the United States, which I thought was really cool, because that like actually happens. That's like real life stuff. Yeah, Russian spies defecting, you know, in USA, kind of given them like, I don't know, witness protection. Well,
back in the Cold War days anyway, nowadays, they seem to be welcomed, but okay, I was just kind of cool. That's like very grounded, you know, and like the time that these comics came out, it was probably happening in real life. Yes, agreed. That's true. Can I ask you, is the Black Widow program, which is like the training grounds, is that a new MCU thing, or is that since the beginning? I don't think so. I think the Black Widow thing has always been a thing. Better thing. Okay, gotcha. She was definitely trained with a bunch of women Russian spies, whether that was called the Black Widow program, I'm not sure, but she got that title because she was the best one basically. Ah, okay. Yeah. So yeah, and I'm going to do something controversial here, Norbert. I am going to not say anything else, because I think that the origin story in the comic book, Black Widow, the came out in 2016 with Mark Wade. Very good. And I remember that. And I also think that the MCU movie, the Black Widow Soda movie, is criminally underrated and not enough people saw it. And I know that people listened to this podcast haven't seen it. So I think you should go watch that.
I've seen it. Is this the one that starts with like in the farmhouse and the woods, kind of a thing? Yes, I do remember it. And it was just the, yeah, and it was really sad actually touching, you know, in not a good way. It was tragic. Yeah, I'm really sad. And David Harb has stuff like the red guardian stuff. I think it's great in that film. And then it's the Thunderbolts, and I cried my eyes out every time I watched Thunderbolts. I think it's incredible. I don't know if it's the comic anchor at Borgens' story. I think it's pretty close, but I think it's great. And not enough people have seen that film. So I'm just going to not say anything else about it. Laws, you should go watch that movie because it's great. Yeah. I mean, no spoilers, but I don't think it's a spoiler, but the important thing there of why you said red guardian is because it's her father. Yes. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So, yeah, good. I agree with that. Let's make these recommendations rather than more messaged A stuff. That's good. For sure. And also, like, you know, I think that one slight criticism, the MCU should be doing more genre stuff, I think. And if you watch Black Widow, the movie, the first like three quarters feels like a James Bond film. And I wish they just done that. You know, it ends in like a kind of Marvel like CGI moment. I wish they'd just done a James Bond
film with just Scully Johnson. Sure. You know what I mean? It'd be like the Rogue One version of, you know, of the genre, you know what I mean? Like Star Wars films. Yeah. Yeah. I wish them to you did more of that. But yeah, it's very good. And criminally underrated. So go watch that movie. Cool. All right. So as we said, she was a three threat. She has four physical defense, three energy, three missing, very respectable. She's got six hit points on the front side. She's got six on the backside. She says two moves medium. So another buff, this is a buff's character right from the small health factor. Arata. Yeah. Yeah. And the artwork has been done by three artists, which I really like. Yeah. That is amazing. Which one is the Alex trip? You think Alex trip did the black bits or was that the hair? Patrick Brown did the arms or the thing. I feel like I know Patrick Brown's artwork now, enough to know like to try and spot which parts he did. Yeah. I think Patrick Brown did the body. Yeah. That's a very Patrick face. I don't think
the face. Yeah. Not the face, right? I can't agree. Yeah. That's not a Patrick Brown face. But yeah, the stats are fantastic for three threat. This is like the new three threat. This is how four threats used to look. Yeah. Very good. I have some defensive techs and very good defensive tech. So yeah, this character is really annoying to take down. I've played it against Ollie a bunch of times and I just can't take her out. Okay. Cool. Let us look at that instead of going into the attacks because that's interesting. So first of all, she's got an innate super power which is across. I think all of the characters of her alter ego, which is stealth. So you have to be within three target her attacks. Always good. No, no downsides. Spies stuff in it. Yeah. And the other one though is a reactivate super power called parting shot. After an attack target, these characters are sold. This character may use the super power. The attacking character suffers one damage and this character may advance away from the attacking character. Short. This costs her two power. Very cool. Yeah. So you can it's kind of like one of it. It's kind of fallback, isn't it? Yes.
Yeah. It's off to be a type though. But yeah. So you don't have to save up the power in advance. Yeah. You can get rid of it. Get the power basically from being hit. Yeah. It's great. And you can also see parting shot into stealth. So you then calm me hit again. Into stealth. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Gotcha. Pretty cool. Your south london accent to overwhelm me there for a moment. Into stealth. Yeah. So that's the tech you're talking about about how she stays alive. Yeah. Yeah. She's like, you kind of have to one shot her a little bit. Because she'll parting shot out depending on your ranges. You have to base the base with her to stop that. Yeah. It's really good. So is that how you get around it? Try to be a base to base. I think so. Yeah. Try and get as close as possible. Because she's not toad. So she moves short, not medium. So moving away short means she will be outside of range two of you though. Correct. Pretty sure. Yes. So if you're based to base and you're only hitting from range two, she'll parting shot out. You won't be able to hit her again. That's bad. In obviously if she's at the end of your edge of range three, you've just gone through a stealth range. She'll parting shot out. You can't even see her anymore. So yeah, she's very dissensively hard to take down. Oh, that's not once per turn. I've just realized. Yeah.
Exactly. Mm-hmm. Okay. Very good. Cool. All right. Let's look at her attack. She's got a physical attack called automatic pistol. It's range three. Four dyes doesn't cost anything. It's her gainer where she gets the power. But does that rapid fire? No trigger rapid fire. Garantied rapid fire. Garantied rapid fire. This is the mutant hate coming through yet again. This is crazy. This is a tie-pone off because no trigger rapid fire is nuts. She's guaranteed to roll 16 dyes. That's bad. So yeah, rapid fire if you don't know is you just basically get to make the attack again. And the same character. Same character. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, fantastic. It's only four dyes. But like you said, the more dyes you throw, the more chances you have to spike. Yeah. Yeah. She's got another attack which is physical. Oh, sorry. Quickly on that. It's a gainer. You gain power every time you make the attack. Yeah. You're making it four times. Yeah. If you do it with two actions. So you can generate a full power on her with I am trying. Yeah. So greed. Her second attack is a physical one called tier gas. Oh, it's an A2. Area 2
effect attack across her two power. It's only four dyes. She does not... No, sorry. The target character does not gain power from the damage dealt. Nice. And after the attack is resolved, the target character gains the poison special condition. So it's literally she's throwing a little gas bomb down. That's really cool. I like that. Love that. Yeah. I'm not very good. I'm gonna say because it's only four dyes. Whereas the reason the ornamental pistol gets away with four dices because you're using it maybe four times. Yeah. Yeah. This is basically to lay down a poison I suppose. Which is not that effective of a condition. Yeah. Synergies with the bombination. As opposed. Yeah. You want to do that sweet sweet bombination warlock, you know, a mega red team up then bring black with it. Yeah. So I'm not sure. It's thematic anyway, but I'm not sure about this attack. And then she's got a spender. It's an energy one called Widow's Kiss. It's only ranged to it's six dyes. It costs her three power. But you add one die to the attack role for each special condition the target character has. Hey now. Hey Clint. Hold on now. Oh my god. Clint. Yeah. Good point. I didn't think about that. Help me out.
Buddy. Yeah. That's cool. One die for each special condition. That's nasty. Yeah. What factions can you think of that have just throw lots of conditions on? I just said defenders, right? Yeah. Strangely defenders. If you imagine Widow's running in, right? And a whole guy like shoots an arrow over a shoulder and goes, right, I got a wall. They're slowed. I damaged them. They're hexed. They're Widow slides in. Take ass. This is a nine dyes Widow's kiss. That's really cool. That's actually not a bad point about using the tear gas ahead of this. Wow. Okay. And addition is you got a wild push before damage is dealt. This character may push the target character away short. Saiseless. Saiseless. Anyone sent an opener yet again. A Widow's kiss. That's what it is. They're so repulsed by her trying to kiss them. That they just stagger back. Yeah. He sure I did not consent. That's like staggering backwards. This is not my programming.
That's wild. This seems good. I like this one. Very good. It's hilarious that I didn't know those two attacks existed because I just knew how good all Mac Pistol was. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. If you don't do tear gas or Widow's kiss in a game, you're probably fine. Mac Pistol when it's great. Yeah. Very cool though. I love the synergy before. You're right to call that out. That's really fun. Fun. Lastly, she's got one other reactor superpower, which is really fun. It's one of her signatures amongst the range. I think the third one has it as well. Maybe not. Maybe just the second one. Just this one. Yeah. Just this one. Okay. It's interrogate, which is a little tricky to pull off, but when it does, boys at a kick in the Jimmy game, ask me how I know. How do you know that? If I Jimmy's alerts. You lost the game, soon interrogate him. I did. Literally. I think twice has happened to be. Connor did it to me once and then some guy at a depth of content to me. It was mad. It was also impressed. It was very big brain stuff. Yeah. This one of those where you're like, I hate you, but I have to clap now. Yes. That was really good that you did that. Yes. That's exactly it. So what is
it? It's three power and it's weird. So at the start of the cleanup phase, if this character is within two of one or more days to enemy characters, you can use the superpower. It's controlling player increases the amount of VPs they score from crisis cards during this cleanup phase by one. So basically, you need to bank three power and be near a days to enemy and then you get us extra VP. Yes. Which is huge, right? Yeah. Yeah. Huge. And we've seen this before on Spider Woman. That's right. Who has been played a lot more over the last few years. But we don't see that come off as much. Or people have gripes with it because Spider Woman struggles with power and Spider Woman has other ways of spending power, which is a bit better. Yeah. Black Widow though. Or Mac Pistol is everywhere. She's generating two to four power around without you trying. She's much more likely to have some terrible power. So this is way scarier on this model, I think. Yes. Now, the tricky thing is, is that she does want to kind of stay away from people as part of her defense tech. So then to be
near somebody is kind of tricky, but she doesn't have to be the one who days her KO, the character. Oh, it has to be days. Sorry, it has to be days. She could walk over to see somebody else has done the dirty thing. Yeah, you can wait to end around, right? If she's sitting at the back on free power, you just wait until one of your characters days is someone and then she can just double move it in and around next to them. Score point. Yep. Yep. She could be day winning. So yeah. So I think we're seeing a lot more of her, but she hasn't yet risen up since the her buffs. Yeah, I would argue wrongly. I think she's very good and people are sleeping on her a little bit. Yeah. Oli played her into me and I couldn't believe how good she was. So frustrating to deal with. She's got, she's got like bits of gambit about her. You know, right? She can just sort of out of nowhere to explode. Yep, because gambit's got the double world. She's got the lots of four dice attacks. So it's kind of like, you know, rapid fire, nothing, rapid fire, nothing, rapid fire, what is six damage? You know, yeah. So she's very good. I think people should be playing her more. More affiliations she in again. Yep. A force, Avengers and shield. Yeah. Okay. I mean, she's just
a, she's a bit of a workhorse character, right? She doesn't bring anything like special, but she's good. And I can see her being in any of those affiliations. Just sure. You feel that she's as good as extract runner as the Black Widow, Widow 4. Oh, sorry. Widow 3. It's not fair comparison. Yes, not. She's way better. Yeah. Yeah. She's a fourth threat, right? Yes. A fourth threat. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's quite nice actually. We have a two threat widow, three threat widow, four threat widow. That's not quite different. So could as to the AMG guys for that. Yeah, yeah. Definitely. And all very good for their threat level, actually. Good representations at their threat level. So yeah, I think I think this character slept on a bit. Yeah. I'd say so too. And I think things will change as the whole whole people start waking up to all the changes in the game. Yep. All right. So we're going to talk about two tactics cards. One is a team up and one's just for her. So hers, which is I think criminally underplayed. I don't know why. I think it's just a tactics card tight, you know, tightness problem. Yeah. And it's called vertical assistance. It's unaffiliated. So she takes it wherever she wants to go. It's also for, it's named not Black Widow.
It's named after Natasha Romanoff. So any of the three characters could take it. And she may spend two power to play this card. And choose an ally character within three of her. The chosen character gains the wall crawler superpower until the end of the round. And it immediately advances short. Very cool. Seems great for two power. Yeah. This is a copy of a card called climbing gear, which was banned. That's too good. That's too good. So this has the extra caveat which is Black Widow. Natasha has to play it. That's fine. Because as you've said, they're very good characters. All of them. Yeah. So yeah. Look at her. She's carrying the iron fist away from a bunch of bad guys. It's cool. All right. Old front robots. Yeah. Very cool. Yeah. This got great. I used to use climbing gear a lot on Magneto. People a lot of people did because Magneto struggles with getting around. Yeah. I think this card is usually just going to be used. Despite what the artwork says, which is like rescuing someone. I think it's actually to bring a murderer in.
Because it's sizeless, right? So you could bring in. But bring your armor in close if you want. You know, help move your kind of big, big hitters around the board a bit. Oh, I see. Okay. All right. Could you be used on herself as well? Oh, could it? Yeah. I like cracked within three. Oh, yeah. Could you choose yourself? That's cool. A little bonus short move. I mean, that is no that's no joke, right? Because she could be holding an extract. Yeah. And she's all right. I'm off short move. Yeah. And she's staggered, for instance. So she can still move then. And much or she's got that, do we have the still the one where you hold the extract in it makes you only get one move that's the center to see. We still have that. Yeah. There's another way around it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You can be holding an extract. So yeah. I mean, it's a great card. There's a really good card. I'm a big fan of movement shenanigans in James. I often take to me. My ex-manhand had mischiefs at the same time. So this is not one of those. And within three of her as well. That's great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. So be on the lookout. Maybe think about adding it to your roster. Sure. The last one is the team up card that we've been promoting, which is called
the professionals. It's unaffiliated. And it's an active card between Natasha and Clinton. So any their forms can take it, which means Ronin too for that matter, right? Because it's a clean. Yes. Yes. And people are shan about that because of reasons, which we'll get to. But yeah. Okay. So they have to spend two power each. Okay. If Clinton damages a character within attack this round and Natasha is within two of the damage character, you may move one extract token from the damage character to Natasha. She's now holding that token. This card does not allow a character to hold more tokens than the crisis specifies. So this is fantastic. He shoots the guy. You get startled. You know, maybe that doesn't allow damage, but you get startled. And as you're juggling your extract, whatever it is, your scroll, she scoops it up from him. Yeah. It's so cool. It's one of the best tonight cards in the game, right? It feels like one that could actually, like a team up that works actually. Yeah. Which oftentimes they don't. Yeah. So yeah. And, you know, stealing extracts like this is really fun. I think the hardest part about this card is mostly, um,
Clinton doing damage, you know. Yeah. So Hawkeye doing damage. Yeah. He's a little tricky. He's two five dices. Oh, impossible. But Ronin would. Yeah. Ronin. Yeah. Ronin would. Ronin's got that crazy thing where if you roll a wild, another dice becomes a hit. So Ronin's very likely to deal damage. And he's a clean button. So you can do as well. But what I do like about this, though, is if you're, say you're on a flank, right? You go Hawkeye and Black Widow, very familiar. Thanks for each other. And there's someone holding, maybe someone's just day's widow and got on an extract offer. Um, you can use this card. And if you get lucky and spike your deal damage, Black Widow grabs the extract. And then Black Widow is, is close to that person to then interrogate them as well. Oh, yeah. Well, swing, right? Yeah. It's pretty cool. Yeah. I think this card's cool. And this was in my first ever game of MCP against Katie. This got used against me. And I was like, this game is the coolest thing ever. Oh, nice one. Such a cool, somatic card. I love that. And look at this artwork with the handinches that they're battling. Yeah. That's really cool. Yeah. Fun. Nice. Oh, and there's one of those suction, um,
arrows or other suction. That's like a net arrow web. Yeah. Yeah. So, um, I've seen this card, not often, but I definitely have seen people play this card. Yeah. I've seen it. I've seen it played. And it's been amazing. I've seen it played in Hawkeye in daily damage. Yeah. So that's a little awkward. Um, I think, yeah, it's a very cool, somatic card. If you're taking Ronin, it's actually a great card, I think. Yeah. And any, any Black Widow, right? Because all three of them, you want to hold an extract, especially Black Widow, two threat and four threat. They've very good at holding extract. So it's great with them. Yeah. I'm just checking who Ronin's affiliated with. Avengers and defenders. And she is, uh, she's definitely Avengers. Avengers. Yeah. So in Avengers, you might see the two of them together under, under Steve three, Hawkeye's very likely to hurt them. Oh, we've got that leadership, right? Yeah. Extra partying. It can definitely spend the power on it because you can afford it. Ha, ha, amazing. All right, cool. Uh, any final thoughts on this box? You know what? Every time we review a box on
Frost to Bifrost, I leave thinking I really want to play these characters. Yes. And I thought this would be the, this would be the episode where that didn't happen because I'm constantly having arguments with Oli of why would you play a superhero game and just bring a bunch of guys with guns and a bone arrow. But now we've gone through it. I really want to play this box. I've decided I'm not going to give it away anymore. Oh, wow. We've done too good of a job. We've very cool. What do you, what do you think about these guys? I have, she's always been something I've been interested in and defenders is great too. Really good these days. Everyone's kind of on the blue Marvel train right now. But honestly, I think there's so much depth to the defenders and these people fit right nicely into that dynamic. Yeah, for sure. And this will, this episode will come out hopefully after the arathas happened and all the health changes are out. They've been getting teased for many months. But this is absolutely what you were saying. A testament for what, you know, a bad character can be given a couple of actually hit points and they'd become a phenomenal character. So yeah, if you're ever wondering what to play next, just have a look at
who got extra health and I bet they're really good now. Totally agree. All right. Cool. Oh, sorry, you're good. And then we're giving this box away. Remember that? Yes, of course. You are a Patreon. But come on Patreon if you want this box and we will give it away. I'm waving in front of the floor, but it's face right now. Yes. Now this episode's live. As of now, you've gone out Patreon and you can enter a giveaway for this box. And my copy of Nick Fury versus Shield, the guy who's available. Super nice bonus. But what else do you get as a bit of Patreon? A bunch of cool stuff, man. You get a bunch of sweaty episodes. Are we interview winners and find out how the hell they did that? And, you know, mostly it's Pat Donford. Recently, it's been a couple episodes from me, though. That's pretty good. Yeah, it's pretty good. But yeah, we interview the people that win events and say, you know, what, how did it go? What did you do? And we can try and farm them for tips so that you guys can benefit in your game. So yeah, the main episodes on, you know, all platforms are for reviewing characters and talking about how fun they are and then the Patreon is for how to actually win. Yeah, how to win with them. And Patreon's get to hear the public episodes ad-free. Oh, that's it. Yeah, no adverse. Yeah, yeah. So you get quite a bit
now for Patreon's and you get to also support our producer who's had her very special thing happen in her life. I don't know if I'm supposed to say it or not, but it's happened. And she basically all the Patreon pennies are going to a good cause right now. Yes, it's been a happy time and everyone's doing great. Yeah. Until next time, cheers and happy gaming.
