Obviously, a lot going on in the world right now.
I do my very best between the show,
the social media posts.
I put up extra to it and all the writing
to keep you as engaged as I possibly can.
I actually feel like I need to educate you guys
on some important history because a lot of people
have believed a Soviet-era piece of propaganda.
My wife yesterday was asking me about this 1953 coup
in Iran.
I see it trending right now.
In fact, there are a lot of social media influencers
who have been indoctrinated by the left
who are seeding this mythology out there online.
And a lot of it is coming up because there's an accusation
that the Americans and Israelis bombed an Iranian school
over the weekend.
And I've seen some Christian influencers
question our involvement in Iran
and the deaths of these school kids.
What you need to know is even the Iranian regime
at this point confirms it was a misfired Iranian rocket
that blew up the school.
More important than that, where was the school located?
It was on an Iranian military base.
These, the kids who were killed
were their parents worked for the regime.
A lot of people bring up this 1953 coup,
the British American coup that restored the Shah of Iran.
I need to explain the actual history to you here.
Muhammad Masada was the Iranian prime minister.
He was picked by the parliament.
The parliament was not democratically elected in Iran.
It was picked by the Shah of Iran.
There was no popular vote there.
It was as if the president of the United States
picks the leadership of the Congress.
And then the leadership of the Congress
nominate some sort of prime minister.
This is not what it was.
There was no democracy in Iran in 1953.
In fact, there were 20 prime ministers of Iran
before Masada, who were also elected in the same way,
picked by the Shah of Iran after the Shah of Iran,
picked the parliament.
Nobody claimed that they were democratically elected.
But the Soviets pushed this idea that this was a democratic issue.
The final Shah of Iran in Rizapolavi took the throne in 1941.
His father died.
He took the throne.
He was not installed as a puppet, contrary to what so many people said.
But there was a 2,500-year-old monarchy.
His father took the throne in the 1920s.
Now his father had disrupted the line of Shah's at the time
and took over.
The Shah had a right to remove the prime minister.
He had picked the prime minister and he removed the prime minister why.
And this is what everyone likes to dance around when they talk about the 1953 coup.
The prime minister, Masada, aligned with the Soviet Union.
After World War II and the rise of the Soviet Union,
Iran and the Shah of Iran got into bed with the British and the Americans.
Why?
Iran had largely been a British territory and British and American oil interests were there.
The Soviets trying to realign parts of the Middle East towards the Soviet Union had
induced the Egyptians and the Syrians and the Iranians to come their way after they
failed to get the Israelis.
Remember, the Israelis were the country that the Soviets wanted.
And the Soviets came close to getting Israel on their side.
They ultimately failed and so they went after Egypt and Syria and Iran.
The Iranian Shah was actually a fan of the United States and sided with the United States.
The Soviets bribed and persuaded the prime minister of Iran when the Shah of Iran was out
of the country to stage essentially a coup.
And the Shah had to come back from exile.
You should know the Soviets were back in a man who was also addicted to opium, but
promised to give the Islamic world Iran's share of oil while also cutting deals with the
Soviets to provide oil to the Soviet allies.
So 1953 with the army on his side and even the Islamic mullahs on the side of the Shah,
he removed Masada who was backed by the Soviets.
And this is what they call a coup.
The British and Americans helped provide intelligence to the Iranian military to push Masada
and his allies out.
They called it Operation Ajax.
Operation Ajax was not a coup.
It was actually the Shah of Iran coming back into the country, having been outside the
country.
And the prime minister of Iran saying, hey, we're now going to stop the Shah from coming
back.
This is from a writer in Tehran quote, the Shah in 1953 would have removed Masada with
or without foreign help.
His army was on his side as were the Bazaari.
The mullahs were on his side.
The CIA was not essential in making this happen.
The Shah was an exile for weeks before all of Iranian society brought him back.
And that's what you call being installed.
There was no installation.
He was already the Shah of Iran Operation Ajax was not essential.
It was only there to speed up what was already happening.
The British and American forces helped the Iranian forces.
What happened in 1953 is also not why 1979 came about.
Masada was barely even mentioned as a real grievance by the communists in Islamists who took
over.
They decided to make him a glorified hero to score points with in-bred third worlders
and communists.
That again, the writing of someone from Iran.
When you hear people talk about the 1953 restoration of the Shah, what actually happened
is that the Soviets convinced the prime minister of Iran to side with them and keep the
Shah from coming home from a trip abroad.
The British and Americans rallied with the Shah, the military, and the mullahs of Iran
to throw out Masada, the prime minister, and restore the Shah.
The coup is actually what the Soviets engaged in, not what the Americans engaged in.
But people today peddle this idea that in 1953, the Americans overthrew the government
of Iran.
That's not true at all.
The Iranian military and the mullahs of Iran sided with the Shah and threw out a Soviet
back prime minister who had taken over, nationalized the oil fields, thrown out the British
and Americans, and also began to impose a Islamic state on Iran at the time, all at the backing
of the Soviet Union.
You've got to know the real history here.
It is Soviet history to claim that the CIA installed the Shah of Iran.
But progressives believe it is so, and the progressive thinking has trickled down into
a lot of mainstream thinking that just it isn't so.
The Shah had been around for 2,500 years.
The Shah in 1953 had been on the throne since 1941.
Now when the Soviets were not successful, what the Soviets did is they saw that the mullahs
were a power center in Iran.
And when the Shah came back, he became increasingly repressive.
There was an economic downturn, and the Soviets used the economic downturn to their advantage,
and they convinced the mullahs who had sided with the Shah in 1953 to side with them.
One of the clerics was a man named Khomeini who was living in exile in France.
And the Soviets and the Islamists together rallied in 1979 to depose the Shah.
The Shah and his family had to flee Iran in 1979, and the Soviets backed the Ayatollah
Khomeini.
Khomeini's assistant was a man named Ali Khomeini who became the second Ayatollah after
Khomeini, similar names different men.
You know who brought Khomeini into Tehran, the French?
He lived in exile and the French brought in Khomeini, thinking that the French would
be able to take over the British oil company.
The French essentially stabbed the British in the back, working with the Soviets.
It was not to be.
The Khomeini government sided with the Soviets, nationalized again the oil companies throughout
all the companies, and denied the French access.
With the backing of the Soviets, and with the funding of the Soviets, Khomeini took over.
And then began murdering all of the people who were on the Soviet side.
The Iranian mullahs now fully radicalized with the Ayatollah Khomeini began to murder all
of the liberals and the progressives who sided with him against what they considered a conservative
repressive regime by the Shah.
There's a very famous photo of two Iranian women driving down the road, yes, the women
driving.
They have peace signs.
They're holding their hands out with the V shape for the peace sign.
They're holding pictures of the Ayatollah Khomeini.
Joy on their faces, the Shah has fled.
The Ayatollah Khomeini has returned.
Within six months, the girl who was driving the car and her whole family were murdered.
And the family of the girl in the backseat had been murdered and she now lives in Sweden
and is one of the loud voices of regret of the Iranian regime who occasionally does television
appearances to talk about how wrong they were to depose the Shah of Iran and what led
to the rise of the Ayatollah.
The Ayatollah Khomeini died and his loyal lieutenant Ali Khomeini became the Ayatollah.
Khomeini above all things else hates the Jews.
The former president or the former Prime Minister rather of Spain went several years ago to
Iran and wrote a story about it.
And he said that he interviewed the or met with the the Ayatollah.
He went into a banquet room, a beautiful banquet room with two chairs for him to meet with
the Ayatollah.
And the Ayatollah Khomeini was actually at the window making himself tea.
And the Prime Minister of Spain wrote that he walked over to the Ayatollah standing in
the window making his tea and at first didn't want to distract him and the Ayatollah
said nothing.
So the Spanish Prime Minister decided to speak first and asked him what he was interested
in and the Ayatollah said nothing.
And the Prime Minister of Spain writes he then asked Ayatollah, what do you think about
when you wake up in the morning?
The Ayatollah Khomeini stopped stirring his tea.
The Prime Minister writes and he turned and he looked the Spanish Prime Minister in the
eyes and he said what is the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning
is if the question was incredulous and obvious.
The Prime Minister writes he says yes, what is the first thing you think of when you wake
up in the morning and the Ayatollah looked him in the eye and said the death of the Jews
and the destruction of Israel is killed that Ayatollah.
Welcome back.
It's Eric Erickson here across the United States.
So I've got some news for you that's actually pretty interesting historic news.
You know, it was the Battle of Marathon was where we get Marathons from the Greek who
ran to Athens from Marathon, the distance of what we do modern Marathons has and announced
that the Persians had been defeated before dropping dead Zerxes invasion of Greece had
failed.
Well, it's been since the Battle of Marathon that the Greeks have well not engaged the
Persians until now.
The Greeks are announcing that they are going to enter the fight against Iran in a defensive
posture deploying their navy to the Middle East, particularly to the Eastern Mediterranean
around Israel to help shoot down Iranian drones and rockets and also protect against further
incursions into Cyprus.
Meanwhile, there's an amazing account at the financial times of how the attack initiated
to take out the Ayatollah and the top leaders of Iran, which by the way, Israel is now
saying at least 1500 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps have been destroyed
and killed, turns out that Israel has been hacking the Tehran street camera system for
the last number of years.
And Mossad agent says that the Israelis know the streets of Tehran as well as they know
the streets of Jerusalem and they have set it up to be able to monitor every movement
of every Iranian leader and they could tell they were all going to a meeting by monitoring
the street cameras as to where they went and when they went.
So they knew the timing of who would be there and that's when the Americans and Iranian
Israelis launched upwards of 30 Tomahawk missiles to blow up the Iranian regime.
They also then the Israeli flu planes once the Tomahawks that soften the targets to drop
bunker busters to get further down into the bunkers to blow up the regime.
Just amazing level of coordination and technology and hacking the US now using Iranian developed
drones on Iran.
We reversed engineered them.
So we're blowing up Iran with cheaper drones than our Tomahawk missiles.
The drones are much cheaper to develop than the Tomahawk missiles.
But also we are rapidly rebuilding our supply of missiles.
The UAE announcing and Bahrain announcing they will be out of defensive Patriot missile
batteries in the next two weeks asking for reinforcements from the United States, which
are coming.
If you work, by the way, for our missile development capabilities, our missile providers,
time for you to get to work, work overtime, build up the arsenal of democracy needs your
skill set right now to rebuild our weapons for our allies and ourselves against Iran.

Welcome.
It is Eric Uricsson here across the United States of America, glad to have you with me.
I need to set the stage with you for something that is deeply troublesome in Texas over
the weekend.
I've already mentioned this.
When American naturalizes and from Senegal, wearing a shirt that had the Islamic Republic
of Iran flag on it and the statement, property of Allah went to a bar in Austin, Texas and
open fire, thankfully, not getting inside the bar, killing several people wounding more
before himself, getting taken out by the Austin police department.
The current member of Congress, Greg Caesar from Austin actually led the effort while on
the city council in Austin to defund the Austin police department.
Thankfully, they were not defunded.
But these people on the left are constantly working to undermine law enforcement in the
United States.
Yep.
Greg Eduardo Cesar serving the US House, Texas is 35th congressional district.
He was a member of the Austin city council for the 4th district from 2015 to 2022 and led
the effort to gut the Austin police department.
He's the chair of the congressional progressive caucus and a member of the squad.
And he wanted to defund the Austin police department, which thankfully was not defunded.
But you know what is currently defunded because of Greg Caesar and other progressive members
of Congress, the department of Homeland Security.
During the Biden administration, it is not disputed a massive number of people came into the
United States from Mexico and many people, according to both the FBI and the CIA and central
command, by the way, for the military, came into the country undetected.
The Godaways, we don't know how many they are, we don't know where they are, but we know
there are people in this country who came across the border and of the ones we detected
and caught.
We had people coming from Iran, people coming from Uzbekistan, people coming from Afghanistan,
people coming from Somalia, people coming from Libya, people coming from Egypt, people coming
from all over the Middle East, came into this country and they were the ones we detected.
We don't know about the ones that got away, but we know they're here.
Com the CIA, the FBI, they're all concerned about it and the Democrats and the United States
House representatives and Senate have right now shut down the Department of Homeland Security.
As of today, TSA operations in the United States are compromised and there are fewer TSA agents
working because they're not getting paid.
FEMA has also been disrupted, the Coast Guard has been disrupted.
The Democrats are doing this because they want changes to ice and border patrol, but
ice and border patrol are fully funded through 2028.
So nothing that the Democrats are doing can change ice and border patrol, yet they've
shut down the rest of Homeland Security.
This is progressive Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut.
It's a mission to fund a department believe that the administration should make a commitment
to legally prosecuting the laws of this nation.
I don't have any obligation to fund a Department of Homeland Security that is violating the
law every day, just like I don't have any obligations to support this war that is illegal
as well.
So three weeks and counting, it sounds like the standoff is not ending.
Well, if they agree to start adhering to the law at the Department of Homeland Security,
they'll have the votes immediately, but listen, this is what the people want.
The people want ice to start behaving legally and they don't want wars overseas.
So I think this is a pretty clear case of Democrats standing with the American people when
it comes to domestic crises and international crises.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
So you're standing with the American people, Chris Murphy, by keeping the Department of
Homeland Security shut down in a time of war.
That's what you're doing.
That's the position of the Democratic Party right now.
Keep Homeland Security shut down in a time of war.
I want to read for you a piece in the Washington Post.
The Hamas paragliders who were tentacles of Iran began today's war on October 7, 2023,
igniting one of history's most spectacular backfires.
Iran's regime and its terrorism multipliers, Hamas and Hazbalah, have unintentionally magnified
Israel's security.
And Iran's regime, whose mantras since its inception in 1979 has been death to America,
is near death by the class tans of Israel and America.
The wielders of Iran's regime, which is founded on fear, surely experienced a sudden terrifying
epiphany when the aerial attacks, unlike previous ones, began in daylight.
The attackers knew when and where the regime's senior officials would be meeting to Iran
that day, precision munitions directed by spectacular intelligence enabled the decapitation
strategy.
The at least 30,000 protesters who perished in Iran's streets in early January did not
die in vain.
The 1956 Hungarian Revolution failed the topple tyranny, but refuted the then-common pessimism
that tyrants can assure their permanence by controlling the consciousness of the public.
George Orwell, a 1984 quote, if you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping
on a human face forever.
Iran's protesters dramatically underscored the region's barbarism, so those who today
regret the regime's demise reveal their barbarism.
Some say the U.S. involvement in Iran constitutes a war of choice that too casually bandied phrase,
rarely fits untidy reality.
America's Civil War was a choice.
Lincoln chose not to heed those.
They were not few who agreed with the prominent publisher Horus Greeley.
He said of the Secedons' other states, quote, let the airing sisters go in peace.
Lincoln chose against such national suicide.
Donald Trump's administration has chosen not to wager U.S. safety on Iran abandoning its
multi-decade pursuit of nuclear weapons or on Iran's acquiring them, but not really
meaning death to America.
For Israel, the death of Iran's self-proclaimed genocidal regime was a choice only in the
sense that Israel chose to believe the regime when it called Israel a one-bomb country.
The U.S. tolerance lie promised promiscuously, but occasionally are candid.
In 1939, Adolf Hitler said a world war would mean the annihilation of the Jewish race in
Europe.
Israel exists because Hitler meant that Israel's survival depends on forever thinking that
nothing is unthinkable.
The U.S. action for regime change in Iran is not sufficient to produce regional tranquility.
It is, however, a necessity for beginning to reestablish a precondition for a more
peaceable world, the credibility of U.S. deterrence.
A native of post-1945 U.S. power in its precondition, confidence was the 1975 departure of the
last hurricane, helicopter from the U.S. Embassy Roof in Saigon.
A second low point was reached when Barack Obama drew in 2012 and then ignored a red line
concerning Syrian chemical weapons.
A third was in 2021 when Joe Biden produced a chaotic exit from Afghanistan.
Today, Vladimir Putin is watching Venezuela, Iran, a source of Putin's drones, and soon
perhaps Cuba joined Syria as a vanished client.
The swiftness of their downfall illustrates the hollowness of Russia's claim to be a
formidable global actor.
It's not a Trump apologist writing this piece.
It's not a Trump apologist cheering this on.
This is George Will.
George Will, a vocal critic of the Trump administration, applauding the Trump administration for doing
what it is doing.
This is significant.
This is notable in who is saying it.
While George Will, who is a regular critic of the Trump administration and of Donald Trump
personally, is praising the Trump administration for doing the right thing with Israel to stop
Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions and Iran's terror agenda, Democrats in Washington, DC
are refusing to reopen the Department of Homeland Security, a vital department within
the United States government at times of national crisis.
We've already had one domestic terror attack in Texas over the weekend.
The Biden administration allowed the United States to be flooded with illegal aliens,
some of whom we don't know where they are or what their intentions are, and the Democrats
don't wish to survey them, don't wish to deport them and don't wish to defund a Department
of Homeland Security to keep us safe at a time like this.
We are at war whether the Democrats voted for it or not and the reality is our homeland
is under threat from sleeper cells led in here by the Democrats and the Democrats don't
want to fund the Department of Homeland Security to go find the sleeper cells, they and their
administration let in.
It's almost as if the Democrats would be okay with Americans getting killed in this country
so they can then blame Donald Trump and claim that he's got blood on his hands when they're
the ones who stop the Department of Homeland Security from protecting us.
The Democrats will have the blood on their hands, but the Democrats rely on the media
so heavily to be willing to blame the Trump administration.
It is madness that the Democrats at a time like this knowing what we know, Barack Obama
and Joe Biden's own sitcom commanders warned about the possibility of sleeper cells in
the United States because of Joe Biden's poorest border and the Democrats do not want
the Department of Homeland Security reopened.
The TSA has wound down operations around the country, TSA agents are not showing up.
TSA agents yet again not paid by the government, the Coast Guard not paid by the government,
FEMA not paid by the government, other security personnel within the Department of Homeland
Security not paid right now, some of them not on the job right now.
And the Democrats, Chris Murphy of Connecticut says he's under no obligation and has no
desire to reopen the Department of Homeland Security.
How many Americans are going to have to die to terror sleeper cells in this country before
the Democrats reopen the government?
They will do it.
They'll blame Donald Trump.
They'll say this was his war of choice.
Donald Trump's fault that the sleeper cells reared their head as opposed to the Democrats
who allowed them into the country.
How many Americans are going to need to die before the Democrats decide, you know what?
Maybe we do need a Department of Homeland Security.
I don't like it.
I don't like what they're doing.
I don't like Kristie Nome, but maybe I should fund it.
You all I don't like Kristie Nome.
I think Kristie Nome needs to be replaced as Secretary of Homeland Security, but I recognize
the need for the professional agents inside the Department of Homeland Security to be paid
to do their jobs while we're at war with Iran.
Progressives are marching in the streets against the Department of Homeland Security and
for the Iatola Committee.
Progressives in the United States hate the United States.
They seem very, very, very clear that they want an end not just to the Trump administration,
but to the United States as we know it.
They want something else.
They want something anti-American.
They want something that would destroy the free market of the United States.
They want something that would destroy the fabric of the United States.
It is the Democrats who believe we are systemically racist nation.
It is the Democrats who believe we are not a force for good in the world.
It is the Democrats whose President Obama went around the world apologizing for us.
It is the Democrats who are keeping the Department of Homeland Security shut down in a time
of war because the Democrats are opposed to deporting the very people who could be
the sleeper cells of Iran inside this country.
It almost seems like the Democrats would prefer Iran win to the United States so they could
blame Donald Trump for what's happening.
Hello America, welcome.
It is Eric Erickson here, too late to call in the program.
I need to bring you up to speed on some events.
Israeli forces are saying they are noticing a drop off in launches of missiles from Iran.
Americans are saying that both countries now have total air superiority.
Katari forces have now down to Iranian aircraft approaching Katari airspace.
Katar had been the friendliest country in the Middle East to Iran.
There's been an unconfirmed drone strike on a tanker in the Straits of Hormos and most
notably, the Chinese are now having their GPS signals jammed for a while.
Everyone on the planet, except the Chinese ships going through the Straits of Hormos
were having their GPS jammed.
And now it's the Chinese that are having their GPS jammed and it doesn't appear that others
are.
US B1 bombers have successfully targeted Iranian ballistic missile sites, deep inland under
mountains.
According to Sincam, fresh air strikes are happening on Tehran as I'm speaking to you
right now.
A hundred thousand Israeli reservists have been mobilized on the Lebanese border.
The US has now sank nine Iranian vessels, including their drone carrier in the Persian
Gulf.
There's chatter of major surface fleet losses from Iran and there's been an unconfirmed
strike on an army aviation headquarters in Kerman province in Iran that has destroyed
Iranian helicopter fleet.
We are watching the destruction of Iran in real time and it is a remarkable technological
feat.
Tehran's leadership is now saying it's not at war with its regional Arab neighbors.
The main interestingly enough is ordering a US tanker aircraft outside of Spain.
The Spanish Prime Minister is essentially at war with his NATO allies in favor of the
Iranians.
It's remarkable to watch this.
The Iranian Foreign Minister is now calling Ali Kamenei's death a religious crime for
which there will be significant consequences.
And by the way, it looks like there is a major, major incursion of Ukrainian drones into
Russian territory.
Now that the Russians do not have access to Iranian drones to respond to the Ukrainians,
there's a lot happening around the world.
Stick with me.
I'm sure you text Eric to 3 3 7 7 7 as they're as events warrant.
I'll of course put stuff up on social media.
You can follow me on Instagram.
Likewise, my writings, the very first link if you text Eric to 3 3 7 7 7 7 is to my
daily email.
And as events weren't pushed up out the four things to know in the afternoon, there's
going to be a lot to keep track of a whole lot to keep track of.
What I would tell you here at the end though is be very, very careful about listening to
the voices who talk about a greater regional conflict in the Middle East.
That is a, that's a talking point that the left is using, but we're already in this
regional conflict.
Iran has attacked 15 Arab neighbors in the last 72 hours.
Those Arab neighbors are now aligned with the United States of America against Iran.
The street cameras in Iran have now been turned off by the Iranian regime so that the
Israelis can't survey them.
This is becoming a just fascinating conflict to watch and we're only 72 to 96 hours into
it.
The president now saying it could go on for five more weeks.
Now let me tell you about the Eden Peer thunderstorm.
