S24: The Ultimate Tool

About this episode

Arrival.

In 1998 science fiction author Ted Chiang wrote a short story called "Story of Your Life" that went on to win the 1999 Sturgeon Award as well as the Nebula Award for best novella and now it has been turned into a major motion picture staring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker.

In this supplemental episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Ken Tripp and Richard Marquez to talk about Arrival. We discuss the movies origins as a novella, the emotional impact, communication being key, perception and reality, fear of the unknown, the alien gift, cast, production and our ratings.
