Our team was called roommate love. Actually, our get was, I'd go out and go, I have everyone's had some story about some roommate they've had. So we just plucked from the audience some information about some of what would tell us a story and then we just kind of incorporate that into our routine. Which was a lot of fun. That's fun. I'm not sure why I didn't get picked up for a TV show or something. Live, live from studios all across America. This is trivia pursuits. Where we play some trivia and shoot the shit. With three of the baddest voiceover talent in the biz. Rider. Founder of the Vio Life Coaching app. The world's first mobile mentorship program for Vio Talent. Fuck yeah. Mandy Fisher. Creator of the voiceover actor roadmap. Education for all levels. Or so shit like that. My parents are really so proud. And math bigger. Best selling author of the book, Strange Circles. Available wherever you do book things. Right. So let's get to it.
And there we go. That's our awesome opening. Never fails to just to just rally the spirit. Right. It's a juice is flowing. It's really nice. I don't ever want to hear about your juices. My juices are. No, I'm about to be double time. Double juices right now. What's that? What do you got there? These are gummies. Oh, so that's just pounds it. Just honey. What's you doing? What? That's your, it's not your drink of choice tonight, but it's a. I also have a frost. Oh, what? She just ate it like a tiger attacking some sort of small animal. It's great. What is what is the other thing you have? Frashed. It's like, it's just white wine with sparkle water. And T.H.C. And well, yeah, now let's blow in through my bloodstream. The second I was like, how do you say fresco? I've been saying it wrong. It is now. We should all just call fresco, Frashed. What are you drinking, Eric?
I saw you had a drink there. Oh, it's a, it's a water. And you can't see it, but it's a spider man glass. Ooh. Ooh. And see. Very fancy. You know, writer did the spider man trailer. So he's very, very pleased with that. Yeah. Can I just say it's pretty cool to be able to say you just did the movie trailer for the biggest box office release in American history. Yes, it is. Absolutely. Holy shit. Avengers Endgame has had that record for quite a many years now. Yes, seven years. Yeah. And I didn't think that that could ever be surpassed. But thank you inflation. Yeah. Oh. I mean, also nobody would have seen it unless you did the trailer. Exactly. It's probably true. 100%. Yeah, bro. So thanks for being a spider man fan and supporting the cause, Eric Messner, who's our guest today. Yes. Yes. Welcome, Eric Messner. So I'll give it a little full intro on Eric here. He does a lot of, he does a lot of theater arena stage, which is literally right across the street from here right here, northern, northern stage, only there.
And second city. Now, I've seen him a couple times in second city doing, doing the, doing the show. And he's, he's quite hysterical. Anyway, see you're with the creative director at graphic audio, which is like fully produced audio versus of like graphic novels and other things, yeah? Graphic and street up novels. It's full cast audio books. I'm interested. Your tagline is a movie in your mind. Oh, I like that. Oh, mind. Eric, so hey, we're going to play the game. All right. You've had a chance to listen to an episode or two. You're going to pick one of us. You're going to ask us a question. We're going to answer the new move, the next one, and the next one. And then your round will be done. And then we'll move to somebody else. But first we're going to talk about, see, is everybody doing a theme of some kind tonight for your questions? Or is it just rando stuff? So, Mandy, you begin. Yeah, I've got a theme. It's all about birthdays, because my birthday was on Monday. It's right. Happy birthday, Mandy. Wait, wait, wait, wait a goddamn second.
So is my trivia. Because I knew that it was your birthday. Happy birthday. It's your birthday. Eat it. Eat it. Happy birthday to Mandy. Happy birthday. What is this? That's the one he sent you. She didn't watch it. She didn't watch it. He doesn't send me anything. I did. In our text chain. Yes, I sent this to you. She's looking at other weird stuff. I'll have to check that out. Oh, man. I thought you gave it like a heart. Well, you might have been had too many of those gummies there on your birthday. I'm all stressed out now, because what if we both came up with the same journey? We might have. This is going to be fun. Matt, what's your theme for questions today? Well, because we were in roommate love together, my his famous roommates. That's right. Eric, do you have a theme? You know what? Most of it's a Gen X knowledge. So.
Shit. Yeah, it's wait. Perfect. We can nail that. All right. All right. All right. Mandy's the young in the group. So you'll be all right, Mandy. Yeah, that's fine. All right. Gen X trivia knowledge or whatever the shit pick one of us and let's do it. All right. Dirty. Mandy, it was your birthday. Why don't I give you this one because I also think you're not going to get it. Great. But the are you from the Barbie doll by the tell. Yeah. Okay. Barbie. Yeah. Okay. Barbie. Barbie. Barbie. In the Barbie world. Has an actual full name. Barbie. In the Barbie world. What is it? This is both for sure. By the way. Put it. Put it. A. Barbara and Smith. No. B. Major Barbara. No. D. Barbara Millicent Roberts.
Oh, D. Barbara Munco. Tached. Oh, those last two. They're in competition. It's Barbara Millicent Roberts. It's Barbara Millicent Roberts. I'm a Barbie girl. In the Barbie world. Oh, you are correct. I was a little bit manny on the board. Who's on the board? Who's keeping score? I'll keep score. Oh, done. Oh, done. Yeah. See, I knew one. I got one. You can see. It was going to be so bad. You get some Gen X knowledge. Why did she have that? I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. It's different. This is what I used to think about her. What I learned was how to eat that, though. I knew how to lane this. I completely someone else. I know that. I dropped over the tape very fast. That's the thing. That's a good reference. That's going on. I dropped down him, and I got back into the maze. It's this colorful tree, todavía. It was where her true face was like half of it. It's not her way to the back Pac-Man. She went crazy. We watched the womenapon, roll our baby running away. It's shocking. Mine is a third time. So, she went on in a allerdings call to watch the man figure out what she's doing. She's just laid back. It's like herothing resilience. What I heard confused the bejesus out of me because what I heard was golden mine.
And I'm thinking no that better not have been a flavor because I don't know what it would fucking taste like. It goes down quietly though. Hold the, hold the, hold the, hold the, hold it. You got it. Oh, oh shit that was good. Oh, okay. I'm, I'm gonna just assume you said golden lime? I did. Okay. That was a flavor or was the name of the description of Mountain Dew's flavor? It was the, it was not a Mountain Dew flavor. You know, like very blessed and cool. It's, it's, it feels so right. It has to be, it has to be, yes, it was. So true. It was. Oh, wow. I would have said false. Yeah, wow. It was. A flavor in Japan. I, for a part of the time in the 80s. Nice.
What a time to be alive with that golden lime. Man in Japan. All right, Eric, get me. What state am I thinking of? I mean. Hey. No, no choice. Me, Iowa, sea, Vermont, or the Kansas. What was the first one? Florida. I want to say Vermont. Ah, you're right. You see, yes. Wow, look at all of them. Because who wouldn't want to be in Vermont right now? Now you see how quick and painless round one was for you, Eric. It was like nothing distress over, right? It was. You're off the hook now. Yeah. Well, you got to answer questions, but yeah. Yeah, but you know, here's about that part. Here's about that. I mean, the guests, the guests never win. We make sure of that. Right. Exactly. Uh, writer wanted to take one of two go next. All right.
I'm going to go with with trivia based on birthday stuff. So you guys both have birthday stuff. Yeah. So I feel like, Mandy, you should like raise a hand if you're like, uh, I did this one. It's okay. I've got, I'm prepared. Uh, Mandy, yeah. What did ancient Europeans use for birthday balloons? Because obviously they didn't have rubber based products back then. Okay. Okay. Did you come across this in your search of birthday trivia? I did not. Okay, fabulous. Your options are a pufferfish, B, pig bladders, or C, waxed burlap sacks. I just wanted to say the word sack. Yeah, I bet you did waxed sack waxed sack waxed my sack off. Um, pufferfish seems logical, right? Like they blow up, but a pig bladder seems more easily attainable.
Pufferfish, that's a lot of commitment right there. Because I'm sure right. I think gathering the pufferfish would be a ton. And I don't know about this waxed burlap sack nonsense. That sounds terrible, like a shitty terrible birthday balloon. Well, it was it was ancient Europe. Please remember that. That's true. And everything was terrible. I still think, uh, uh, here's your pig bladder happy birthday. Uh, give her the point. Yes. Fabulous. All right, Eric Messner our guest tonight on Trivial Pursuits. Um, here's your question in China. Instead of eating birthday cake, the traditional celebratory birthday meal treat is either a something called Vermont, something called the long life noodle, B roasted rooster testicles or see paper lanterns made of caramelized sugar.
On a second, you need to like Chloe, uh, please note after long life noodle put in. That's what she said. Yeah. Right after that. Perfect. I said it. So what do you think in here? Is there a D? There's no, there is no D just a yeah. There are three D's. I'm going to go with a must see a long life noodle. Yes. Wow. Very good. Give him a point. So apparently, uh, diners try to slurp and swallow the entire strand without biting through it because if you do, if you cut the noodle, it is, it is thought to bring bad luck or shorten your life. Well, somebody, somebody's legs getting certain. Traditionally, for God's sake, don't fight it. Yeah. Traditionally served at birthday banquets alongside a longevity peach bun, uh, which coincidentally is the name of Mandy's only fans page. It is. Yeah.
Thanks for the. Thanks for that plug. You're welcome, baby. The longevity peach bun. See, you learn something today. All right. Uh, Matt, this is your question, okay? Yes, sir. The most expensive birthday party ever was thrown in 1996 to a total cost of 27 million dollars. Wow. Whose birthday was it? Was it A Bill Gates, B Warren Buffett or C the Sultan of Brunei? I'm going with the Brunei guy. The Brunei guy. Yeah. Give him the point. Two. Everybody's scoring tonight. Woo. So can we just go over some salt in the Brunei information here real quick because it's pretty amazing. He is the longest raining current monarch having ruled since 1967. Personal net worth upwards $50 billion, placing him historically among the richest individuals
alive. But the thing that I find the most fucking amazing is dude's home, his house. He lives in. House. We've put that in quote. Yeah. Yes. His grand palace. There we go. 1700 rooms. Wow. Oh. It's. Oh, you shit. You imagine if there's an Alexa in every room and you say Alexa with all the doors open and it just goes. Yes. It's probably Alexa's probably talking to themselves because like how many rooms can the guy visit? That is round number two of tribal. Right. Let's get to the point. Telling their man. Yeah. Across the board. We are all on it. We are just really rocking tonight. Maddie with one, uh, two, uh, rider with two, Mandy with two and Eric with one. And I somehow did not steal any of your birthday trivia questions. No, isn't that wild? Right. All right, Mandy. Well, since you got those trivia questions on the birthdays, queued up. I do. Let's just let's just roll with the birthday theme. But first, um, Eric, we're going to play a little mini game called Mandy's fast five.
Mandy's fast five. Mandy's fast five. Mandy's fast five. Mandy's fast five. Yes. In which I offer you up this or that style questions and you just say the first thing that comes to your pretty little mind. Okay. Here we go. Uh, summer or winter? Winter. Still water or sparkling water? Sparkling. Uh, bring a travel, bring a travel rig or are you going to go on vacation without one? With how one? Oh, vacation. Yeah, got him right. Uh, Akatar or Murderbot Diaries. Oh, you know, it's funny. My company did both of them. I know. That's right. I was very excited about Murderbot Diaries. Okay. Oh, that that counts. Is that the one with the, uh, Garz Garden? Wasn't that? Yes. In the, uh, the Apple show, the Apple TV show. Yeah. Okay.
And last, uh, but not least our famous final question is die hard a Christmas movie? Yes or no? Yes. Yes it is. I knew I liked you for a reason. Woo. Best friends. Nice. Nice. Yeah. See, see, Ryder? You're like, you're just, you're a minority. You're wrong. No, nobody. All right, birthday happenings right now, Eric. Let's see what is statistically the most common birthday month in the United States. Is it January, September, April or June? I had this one as a bonus. Oh, I'm going to say you wrong. You're wrong. Sorry, my friend. It's incorrect. It is September. Everyone's getting old. I'm not on the year's eve. Yeah, exactly. Some of my daughter weren't so well, then we all know what happened.
All right, moving right along. Um, let's see. Uh, this one is for Maddie because he's born in February. Maddie, if you're born on February 29th, yeah, you're all, you're all tagged. If you're born on February 29th, what are you sometimes lovingly jokingly called a leaping B a skipped year C a quadranial or D a blue mooner? I got to go with a leaping. That makes the most sense. It is leaping. Yay. All right. A little leaping. Why does it make the most sense explain because it's a leap here because it's a 29th only happens on a leap here. Yeah, okay. Yeah, you really suck at numbers. Give it a count, right? He's been stealing my money for 25 years. He could just be like, no, rider. You made like three bucks this month.
Sorry, dude. Rida. He's man. Let's see. Let's see. Let's see. Let's give you a semi, a semi math question, not just a semi on average. How many people in the world share your exact birthday month and day, not year? Is it a about a thousand, B about 22 million, C about a million or D about 500,000? Man, I've run into a lot of people with an October 2nd birthday, but 22 million seems really high. But then again, isn't like the population of the earth like a billion or something or something or something like that. So yeah, let's just go, go big. Go to big number. 22. Yeah. It's 22 because there's like eight billion people in the world. You know, I've never done the math, but I run into people with Valentine's Day birthday, which is my birthday, like so often. So what, let's rock that back.
What is that? Yeah. Well, if there's like, if there's roughly 22 million and roughly 8 billion people, a spread across 365 days, I'm just going to start looking at my phone. There's like, there's a calculator app on there. And also quad or whatever the pocket is. Everyone's using now. I'm on TikTok right now. Listening to Mandy be all pissed. Yeah, listen to my latest video where I have a bitch in mode. What happened? Oh, I tore into somebody today because I saw one of their fucking little, I'm a voice over actor. And I'm so, I'm on all these shows. And if you buy my program, I will be able to put you in front of the same casting directors and agents that I work with and you'll magically become famous like me. And I ripped her a new one. I guarantee you you make millions. Did you make millions? Yeah. You did name checker? No, but I did post a screenshot of her video in my video.
So it wouldn't be super hard to deduce who it was. I'm going back now. I need to know. I got to find it out too. Maddie with three, writer with two, Mandy with two and Eric with one. Writer on TikTok. We're done with the math. You can look looking for Mandy's post. So wait, what is nine months before February, four, seven, right? So two and seven. I'm trying to figure out like, because so many people have Valentine's Day birthday. So I'm trying to figure out what, so seven months back, what is that? Is it me? Maybe like spring fever, right? Maybe that's what's going on. Okay. Just curious. Everyday. Everyday? Everyday. Memorial day. Memorial day. Memorial days. Of course, when people get it on. Yeah. All right. Maddie, bring us some home. No. Okay. So. No. No. No. No. No. No.
We are not going home. I'm in the lead. We're stuffing right now. Okay. Uh, famous roommates. Writer must start with you. So did you watch Glee? Perchance back in the day. All right. I'm not asking this question. I'm going to save you, because if you don't know, this is not a good rule. I watched Glee. I loved Glee. It was fantastic. Look at me. 250 pound bald white guy in his 50s. Excuse me. Look at me. You are. 260 pound. I got 50s. Shut the fuck up. I love musical theater. You can kiss my ass. So. Musical theater is great. You know what? But people just spontaneously burst into song that makes me happy. And if the world was like that, it'd be a much better place. Agreed. Hard. Agreed. Just don't want to watch it. I went to high school with a person on Glee and college with two of people on Glee. And I still never saw the show. Which ones? You never watched it. I went to high school with Becca Tobin. That was. She was Kitty. Cheerleader. Yeah. And then Jenna Ashquitz and Melissa Benowist, we all went to college together.
Wait. Did you go to Marymount Manhattan? Yeah. No fucking way. Hold on. Hold on. Supergirl's name is Benowist. Yeah. I thought it was benoist. Well, you know, fuck all, don't you? I didn't know that. My daughter went to Marymount Manhattan. Oh, nice. I did not know that. I thought it was for like years now. I didn't know that. Oh my god. Do you know the handshake? Yeah. My alma mater. Yeah. Wow. That's so cool. Maybe I'm getting a listen now. But I still never watched Glee. Unfortunately. Okay. Who's asking questions to? You're going to ask Eric the Glee question because Ryder and I don't know it. Eric. Sorry, buddy. Did you watch Glee? I have actually have an extra question. So nobody's watched Glee. We can fucking move on on this one. Move on. Let's just delete it from the record and pretend it never happened. Ryder. Yeah. Kevin Hart. You know he is. I do. Okay. Good. God damn this. Like, I ran these by my wife and she was like, I don't know these people.
How do you not know who Kevin Hart was? No, like she knew Kevin Hart was. But the other people in this question, she's like, great. Okay. Let's go. Okay. Kevin Hart once shared a one-bedroom apartment with this actor because the writer director of a pet absolutar saved. The Fifth certainly. Who was it? Was it Adam Sandler, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Jason Zegel? like go like, oh, they were in this show together. Cause I don't know why my instincts feel like Jason Segal had been trying to like resurrect his career for so many years. And that now the Apple thing is exploded for him. And he's phenomenal on shrinking. Yeah. So good on shrinking. But everyone's good on that show. But for some reason, I feel like that's the answer. Jason Segal. You are a director.
I'm on fire tonight. Rider using that big brain. So Eric. Yeah. At the University of Texas at Austin or UTA if you're a local. This director and this actor shared a writing class and later an apartment. Was it a Robert Rodriguez and Wilson, B West Anderson and Luke Wilson, C Robert Rodriguez and Owen Wilson or D West Anderson and Owen Wilson? Not damn dude. That's mean. That's so mean. I'm going to go deep. West Anderson and Luke Wilson. No, no, deep whatever. Is that Owen or Luke? Which one do you want? It's it's it's definitely one of the Wilson brothers because they were there on all those choices. So pick your Wilson brother and your director. Uh, the West Anderson. Let's go with Owen.
You are correct. Oh, how did you know that? Because of bottle rocket. That movie bottle rocket. Oh, yeah. It has it at all the. We are fucking dialed in tonight. Man, I wish we were all in the same city. We could go into a bar and out trivia. All those motherfuckers everybody. Yeah. One, we'd walk in with our jackets shining and our scorecard. And they play that music like bomb, bomb, bomb. It's a lot. And then a slow mo breeze would go through my hair. Oh, we open the door and be like backlit. It'd be amazing. I love this for us. Right. We should do that one. Yeah. All right. Mandy, are you familiar with 50 shades of gray? Yes. The movie. No. OK. Well, you know, Jamie, Jamie Dornan is. Yes.
He was, he was gray and 50 shades of gray. OK. At times he roamed with two superheroes and a wizard. Which of the following was not his roommate? God damn. OK. Jamie Dornan. You know this Eric. Yes. Do you do it? Wait, wait, wait. Wait, first of all, I said who's not. So you don't know like I haven't listed the not yet. Like I know I know all are. So I'll just wait for the one you don't say. OK. OK. All right. Here we go. OK. Was it who is not his roommate? Oh, Jamie Dornan's. Right. Who is not Jamie Dornan's roommate. I think he had a place and then these people just kind of cycled pop by and live there for every now and then and whatever. OK. OK. Was it who was not his roommate? Andrew Garfield and Recavill. Eddie Redmayne.
Charlie Cox. I don't know who Charlie Cox is. So Charlie is there devil on the on the Marvel TV show. Oh. Actually, I know that he and Eddie Redmayne were roommates for some reason. So that's the wizard. He did not. Was not roommates with Henry Cabell. You are correct. Yes. Shot the front door. This is what I'm talking about. Everybody let's just pick a city. Let's just pick a fucking city. It's all jump on the nearest plane. Just fuck the whole town up. We'll just take down everybody. It would be it would be. It would be. Do we get matching jackets? And tattoos, baby. Let's get the tattoo. Who was to the whole thing? Yes. Wow. So at the end of all of this, do we have a winner? What happened? I mean, we were all the winner. I know. Nobody nobody with.
That's amazing. I know. So except for Eric, I'm sorry. Unfortunately, you're dead in the water, my friend. Oh, that's all right. That's all right. Yeah. That's what we do to our guests, though. So don't feel bad. You're not you're not unique. We bring them on with shame. We make the feel stupid and we send the background to the world. Yeah, I mean, if you had fun and you learn something, then Godspeed. And if you didn't learn anything about birthdays, that's on you. Right. Statistically. Sorry. Sorry, Eric. Is there anything? What's the score? What was the score? What is the final? We're all even except for Eric, who has two. So wait, then we. Eric, do you have an extra? Do you have an extra tie breaker question? I do. Oh, shit. I break your question. OK. I read it. Sorry. This is another Gen X question. All right. OK. Hit it. Oh. So what is the all-time top-selling album by The Clash?
Is it A? London Calling. B? Give them enough rope. D? Sandinista? Or D? Combat Rock. A? London Calling. London Calling. Oh, I heard A. On both of you. What did you say, Matt? Combat Rock. Matt wins. Oh, shut up. Oh, shut up. P-P-P-P-P-P-U. The ball is a wolf. It's been break up. So. Wow. He's doing the finger rockets. P-P-P-P-U. Matt. I heard A on both of you. What did you say, Matt? Combat Rock. Matt wins. P-P-P-U. Matt, he got us. What's up, man? P-P-U-U. Oh, what's a good, and I remain victorious? Ah, yes. I think we all won tonight. We all won tonight. We're all winners. We all are winners except maybe everyone else. We're familiar with the Zodiac Academy. The Academy. There's a whole universe. I'm currently directing the ruthless boys of the Zodiac, which is by the same writers.
Caroline Peckham. And Suzanne Bollenty. I gave myself the role of the big brother. Nice. Oh. Oh, sorry. Where's he, a Gemini? I gotta tell you how hard, how difficult it is. How hard? How hard? No. I know. I called myself back down there. No. How difficult it is, like even get in there. Like, I had an in with Eric, and I do accents a lot. And this guy, you know, I did audition for him. And he had me jumping from accent to accent. Like, going from Irish to, like for instance, Jamaican is really tough because they're very close. And, and all of a sudden, he had me doing this stuff and I still did not get the gig. Like, I know the fucking CD. Do you know who I am? We were on an improv team together. He was son of a bitch. But no. Didn't get the gig for fucking me. So how does one get on your roster, Eric? The kids at home want to know. It's true. Oh, good day. Oh, all right. Well, you can email. There's a on the website. There is a way to submit.
And there's usually like months waiting period just because there's only one guy. You get audition. That same son of a bitch who turned me down. I hope he fucking sleeps terribly. And he retired. Oh, okay. Look at Maddie. Your chance is back up. Hey, can you, can you, can you get me in there? I get it. I'll see what I can do. I'll see what I can do. Eric, thanks for joining us, dude. Yes, thank you so much. It was so much fun. Oh, shit. I never hit record. Three, two, one. Let's have your breaches.
