Praise the name of the living God, you are welcome to victory podcast and it's a great
honor to bring these and courage in words to you today.
You are blessed and you are highly favored.
The hand of the Lord is upon you and I pray that by the revelation of Himself through
His living Word, you will be drawn.
I will be drawn into an intimate love relationship with the God who is at the wake in our lives
all the time to the honor and the praise of His holy name.
We are still concentrating on God consciousness and we are concentrating on the names of
our Lord Jesus Christ has talked about in the Old Testament.
We are at the moment looking at Jesus being referred to as the branch yesterday we emphasized
the fact that the branch had a negative connotation also as Isaiah used it and if we look at
it from that perspective it helped us to know.
He was rejected in our place, he was put on a lot of shame and punishment and pain and
all these things were negative but he took it on himself because of us so that by believing
in him we don't have to suffer those things anymore and when those sufferings, when those
negative things are thrown at us, may we have the courage to mention the name Jesus, to
look at the one who is with us, to trust in what he has done for us and to receive our
freedom from the spirit of negativism that is raining in our well today.
In the positive sense we will summarize that this title branched is used in four ways
that correspond also to the four gospels of the New Testament.
Today we just quickly look at the first one and that is Christ is the king branch, Christ
When you study the gospel of Matthew you will see this emphasis that Christ was presented
to the Jews as the king who is to come.
So indeed he is the Aridima but might you address in the Jude use terminologies that constantly
made reference to the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of God and making it clear that
the Messiah is to be the king, the Aridima, the one who reigns in the life of his children.
And so we will look at Jeremiah, what Jeremiah prophesied and he says in Jeremiah 23 verse
5, he said, behold the days come say the Lord that I will raise on to David a righteous
branch and a king shall reign and prosper and shall execute judgment and justice in the
Hallelujah and exactly this prophecy is what is fulfilled in Christ.
When we look at his first advent he came and through his coming he brought the righteousness
of God on earth to reign and to fulfill the purpose of God through all of us and we know
his second advent there will be the execution of judgment and justice on earth.
So we can see this in Christ Jesus, the branch who is the king.
The question is in your life today if you look at Jeremiah 23 the verse number 5, do you
are you conscious that he is the king in your life?
The one who reigns sickness is not the one who reigns, hallelujah, the opinions of people
about you is not what reigns, hallelujah, the things you feel in your body, the emotions
you are dealing with is not what reigns in your life, there is a king because you are
that this king is there, he is with you, he reigns is the king of all the earth and through
him the righteousness of our God is being seen on earth and through him the justice of our
God will be demonstrated in your life and where you've been cheated, where things are
been taken from you, where things have been destroyed from your life, you are not to fight
with your strength and power anymore, begin to become so conscious of his reign in presence
in your life that nothing else can reign in your life and this is a journey that calls
for intimacy knowing him as the king, as the branch who is the king in your own personal
life to the glory and the praise of his name, Father, I thank you that you help us to
really experience and focus on your reign in power, your reign in presence, that we do
not allow other things to reign in our heart, jealousy, envy and all this spirit of chasing
world and all these things that are pushing us and sometimes driving us away from you,
help us Lord and none of these things will sit on the throne of our heart anymore,
your reign and your reign supreme, thank you Jesus, Amen.
