I just want to tell you a really horrific story. We'll get around the lake with my mom

in the sunshine. We're talking about tax and how you can avoid tax, which I would never do

by taking cash gigs, which I would never do. I'm putting in the supermarket company accounts

to artificially know your tax, which I would never do. And my mom said, yeah, plumbers and

whatever, do it all the time. You know, she said, I also hate plumbers. How would you like me to

pay cash or card to give them the option of avoiding tax, which I would never do? And then she said,

but that can't mean to trouble us. As of about 35, you're a young kid, and this workman finished off

a job, and I said, how would you like me to pay? And he said, well, cash card, but there's a third way,

ew. And she said, I didn't know what he meant. So we repeated. So we just repeated, you know,

cash card or a third way. And my mom said, I was really naive at the time. So I thought, what could

he mean? Like, travellers checks. So we had to repeat it for the third time, card cash. And he

made it obvious, like in a third way, and he pointed downwards to his cleaner. And suddenly the penny

drops. You know, she said, he wanted to have sex with me. Stop it, mom. This is a lovely walk

around the lake. But I asked him, I said, well, what happened? And he said, well, thank God, you know,

obviously I didn't have sex with him. You know, I just paid him. It was awkward and he left. And I

said, oh, good, good. But then she said, it happened again. She said, I swear to God, another

workman came round, not even from the same company, and gave me the exact same offer. Ew. Twice.

Jesus. And I suddenly couldn't help thinking, how slutty must my mom have looked at 35?

So I said to her, how slutty did he look at 35? And she said, no, the second time was a few years

ago. She's 75.
