Welcome to Victory Podcast. It's just a great honor to bring you these and
courage and words today. Let's pray. Father, I thank you that you speak to us
through your words. I thank you that today healing takes place. I thank you
that today through your word, revelations of your truth that bring to
our freedom takes place. I thank you that Father through the power of your
word. There is a lifting up where there have been a cast in down in the name of
Jesus. And our steps have been ordered from glory to glory, from praise to
praise, from testimony to testimony to the honor and the praise and the glory of
your holy name. Amen. You know, we've been looking at why praise God. Why should
we praise Him? Because praises is part of the things that draws us closer to
God. And so it is praises and intimacy with God. And the more we know why we are
doing the more I pray will be inspired even to praise God the more no matter
what shows up in our lives. We've looked at eight points already and today I
want to add another point. Praise blesses God. Praise blesses God. We first
published the fact that when we look at praise, it's as presses itself in
different ways. And one of the simplest ways just being thankful to God, being
thankful for who He is, being thankful for what He does, being thankful because of
all He's doing in the life of others also. So just being thankful to God. And when
you go to the book of Psalms chapter number 50, the verse 50 and 23 says the one
who offers transgiving as His sacrifice glorifies me. And the word glorifies me. You
can replace with blesses me, brings me joy, hallelujah. And that is it. When you
bring tongues giving to God, you glorify God. You honor God. You bless God, hallelujah.
And that should encourage us. This offering of tongues giving the worst is the same
word that can be translated in other places as praise. So praise is not just for
our benefit. It blesses God. It honors Him. When you come and you say, God, I know
you are faithful. I know you are good. And you really believe it. And you say it with
a depth of appreciation for the fact that He is really good, that He's a just God.
He's really a just God. And if you have not seen your justice yet, don't give up. Hold
on to God. Hold on to His word, believe in Him, trusting Him, because He is just, you
know what He said in the verse 14 and 15 of the same chapter, some 50. You say, offer
to God a sacrifice of tongues giving sometimes, tongues giving is like bringing sacrifice
to God. Because the situation you find yourself in the challenges you are dealing with may
not just be generating thankfulness, but you are thanking God, not because of the circumstances
you are thanking God because of who He is, because of your trust in His word, because
of your trust in His promises, because of your trust in His name, hallelujah. So you
come to Him and it is sometimes really a sacrifice of tongues giving, a sacrifice of praise
that we bring to God. And the verse 15 says, and call upon me in the day of trouble and
I will deliver you and you shall glorify me or you shall praise me. So tongues giving
is very important and the more we bless God, the more we have access to seeing divine
answers in our life, because God is blessed, we are blessed. So just as a father delights
when a child says, you are a good dad. Now they say, where God is when we come to and
say, you are a good dad. God delight when we express gratitude and love to Him. So what
is it going to be? Is the circumstances and challenges going to move you, irritate you,
make you get into just offensive and all that or attacking or is going to bring you to
a movement of reflecting on the goodness of God, on the power of God, on the presence of
God, on all that God is able to do. Make the decision today to bless God. Make the decision
today to just bring glory to God by being thankful for the things He has done and He will
continue to do. Let's pray for that. Thank you that you reveal yourself in your glory,
in your power, in your strength, in your wisdom, in the life of your children today. And
through that, testimonies will continue to follow all of our lives. Amen.
