It's a family-friendly vibe with a serious purpose behind it. This whole thing started last year, and it was a sellout. The founders wanted to show love for firefighters, and the community really showed up. The Firefighters Burn Institute has deep roots in Sacramento, going back to a tragic jet crash in 1972 that led to the creation of Specialized Burn Treatment here. The institute was founded in 1973 and has been expanding its mission ever since, offering programs and help to all burn survivors.
