Hi, I'm Johnny Erickson Tata, and I'm often asked, Johnny, how do you get so much done? I feel like I don't do anything compared to you. I know they're giving me a compliment, but the beautiful thing about God's family is that we are not in competition with each other. In fact, God tells us in Galatians chapter 6, pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. It's even an extra warning in 2 Corinthians chapter 10, that it is not wise to compare ourselves with others. Perhaps for you, the comparison is not work, but your spiritual disciplines, or your health, or your marriage, or appearance. Comparing makes you discontent, but satisfaction. It thrives when we recognize who God has made us to be, so do not focus on what others are doing, focus on what Jesus has done for you.
