of the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

NBC Today host Savannah Guthrie is now speaking out

publicly as disturbing new details emerge inside the home

where her mom vanished.

Savannah gave an interview to Hota Kotby on the today show

and her first on-camera comment since her 84-year-old

mother disappeared.

She broke down as she described what her family has been

living through.

Savannah telling Hota the fear has not stopped since that night.

I did think of what she went through a wake up every night

in the middle of the night and in the darkness.

I imagine her terror.

Savannah describes forcing herself to think what her mother

may have endured.

She also made a direct plea to whoever is responsible.

And I will not hide my face that she needs to come home now.

Yes.

At the same time, new reporting is raising deeper concern

about what happened inside that home.

My source told me on day three that there was blood found

inside the home.

OK.

Second source of mine confirmed definitely blood inside the home.

That reporting from Ashley Banfield,

honor podcast dropped ed serious.

According to that reporting, deputies initially

responded to what they believed was a missing person's call.

But the presence of blood led investigators

to call in homicide specialists early on in the case.

The pattern of the blood is now a key focus.

Sources say the droplets began inside the home

then moved across the threshold and out toward the walkway.

Authorities have already confirmed

that blood found outside the home belongs to Nancy Guthrie.

Experts say the droplet pattern could indicate slow movement

in a period where the victim remained

in one place before being taken away.

More than eight weeks later, Nancy Guthrie remains missing.

A Georgia man accused of stealing unreleased Beyonce music

in Atlanta rejects a plea deal and says he is ready

to take the case to trial.

Kelvin Evans appeared in court today

and turned down an offer that would have sent him

to prison for five years on the main charge

with an additional 12 months to be served concurrently.

Instead, he told the judge, quote,

I'm ready for trial now.

Evans now faces a possible sentence

of up to six years because of prior convictions.

A free trial conference is set for May 7th

with a trial expected later this year.

The case centers on a break-in that happened July 8th of 2025

just days before Beyonce arrived in Atlanta

for her cowboy carter tour.

Police say two members of her team

parked a black Jeep Wagoneer rental

in the Crog Street parking garage.

When they returned, the back window had been smashed

to suitcases work on.

Investigators say those suitcases

held highly sensitive material tied to the tour

that included USB drives with watermarked Beyonce music.

It also included show plans, past and future set lists,

two laptops, designer sunglasses, clothing

and Apple AirPods Max headphones,

authorities later tracked some of the stolen items

using location data.

That's what led them to Evans.

He was taken into custody in the fall of 2025.

He is charged with entering a motor vehicle

with intent to commit theft along with criminal trespassing.

According to investigators, the stolen materials

were tied directly to preparations

from Beyonce's Atlanta shows,

which ran from July 10th through July 14th.

An 18-year-old vanish from coastal North Carolina

after telling a friend he was leaving town

and would not be back to work,

and he has never been seen again.

Jonathan Kyle Brackett was last seen August 1st of 2009

near a wooded area in Surf City,

went by his middle name.

He was visiting relatives at the time.

He lived in Carolina Beach.

Kyle had just picked up his final paycheck

and told a friend he would not be back the next day.

Then he just disappeared.

Investigators say he was last seen

with a group of carnival workers.

After that, there was no contact and no confirmed sightings.

In the days before he vanished,

Kyle told his mother he planned to join the military.

She said he seemed to be in a good mood,

but there was a problem.

He was on probation.

His family did not believe he would have left

without finishing it.

There was a possible sighting two weeks later.

A classmate thought they saw him in Hampstead, North Carolina.

That sighting was never confirmed.

Authorities say he may have traveled to Florida,

but there has been no proof.

Kyle would be 35 today.

He's white, about five feet nine, 150 pounds.

Had brown hair and blue eyes,

last seen wearing a T-shirt and shorts.

Now more than 15 years later,

the case remains unsolved.
