Today Sue and Nick are joined by Canadian born country singer Savannah Jade, who is returning to the Chatterbox Redux studio for the second tome in just a few months.
Savannah Jade has quickly distinguished herself as a standout voice in Canadian country music. Named Rogers Radio’s One to Watch and Acadia Radio’s Breakthrough Artist, her single “He’s The One” was also highlighted as a Trending Track by Stingray Radio—solidifying her rising momentum within the industry. With more than 4.6 million global streams across just two singles, Jade is proving she’s a force to be reckoned with. Following the release of her debut self-titled EP and standout performances at Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Big Valley Jamboree, LASSO Festival, Festival Country Lotbinière, Canadian Country Music Week and Nashville’s iconic Whiskey Jam, 2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting year, with confirmed appearances at Boots and Hearts Music Festival and Musique Fest Premier Tech.
ABOUT SAVANNAH JADE: Born and raised in Québec, rising country star Savannah Jade took an interest in music and live performance at an early age when she became captivated with the beauty of an unlikely medium—opera.
While her musical pursuits would come later, she first channelled her passion for performance into a career as a professional figure skater, a skill she continues to nurture to this day. She used her love of the sport as inspiration to help others, coaching new athletes, establishing a figure skating program for students in her hometown's high school, and starting a foundation committed to providing financial aid to aspiring talents hoping to realize their own dreams. In 2013, after auditioning for The Voice Quebec, Savannah Jade knew without a doubt that a career in music was something she wanted to pursue. She embarked on her musical journey with fervour, becoming one half of the dynamic Canadian country duo, Five Roses. Signing with MDM Recordings Inc., Five Roses made their debut with the single "Might As Well Be Me," which garnered over a million collective streams, earning them the prestigious title of iHeartRadio/Pure Country Future Star. Savannah Jade's talent and command of the stage shone as they were named semi-finalists in the 2022 Sirius XM Top of the Country competition, and she continued to hone her craft at major festivals like Boots and Hearts Music Festival and LASSO Music Festival, and as direct support on Tebey’s Shotgun Rider Tour. In 2024, Savannah Jade made her solo debut with the song "He's The One," which has garnered over one million streams and continues to climb. The track earned Stingray’s “Trending Track” designation and led to her being named a “One to Watch” by Rogers Radio. Imaginative, innovative, and adaptable, Savannah Jade is a true artistic force. Alongside her musical and figure skating endeavours, her creative spirit truly knows no bounds.
She uses painting as an additional medium to express herself and is a trained hair stylist, adding another layer to her diverse skill set. Her love for fashion has led her to design her own clothing, continuing her journey of self-expression through art. Continuously working on new music, Savannah Jade is forging her own unique path down a fresh creative avenue, and captivating audiences with her vision, talent, and artistry.

And now in Chaterbox UK, we're just lucky enough to welcome back to Savannah.
Jade, Savannah, welcome. How are you?
Hello, Savannah.
Hi, I'm good. How are you doing, guys?
We're good. Thank you.
We're all good down here on the South Coast of England.
Your Canada, aren't you?
So, yeah?
Montreal minus 22 Celsius.
That was my next question.
What is the temperature?
England gets cold, but I know that time of year.
It's quite cold.
My next 22, well, okay.
Anyway, so we spoke last year.
We met last year and we got to play.
I don't have X's, which we have seen last year.
It was a very clever song anyway.
Just the lyrics.
Everything was good about it.
It was awesome.
It was a great song to introduce our audiences too.
And our member stations too.
It was very good.
But we're back again because I think
I was back in December 12th.
You sang on stage a song called Man Out of Me.
That was the world premiere of it, I guess.
However, you've now got it released.
There's a single Man Out To Me.
So tell us about that, how it come about.
What the lyrics are about.
Just tell them all about it.
Yeah, so this song actually is the first song I've ever written
for my solo project back in 2024.
But yeah, someone in my life told me once
that I could never write a great song.
And I was like, you know what?
I'm going to Nashville booking a trip.
And I'm just going to do some writing
for the whole trip focused on that only.
So I went to Nashville with my fiancé for a whole month.
And we had a blast, by the way, it was so much fun.
But yeah, it was a Monday, the first songwriting session I had.
And in the room, there was Dwayne Thompson and Lauren Vale.
And I went to that room with my tale between my legs.
So nervous.
I had the Imposter Syndrome there.
And self-doubt, like all over the place.
But yeah, they made me feel so welcome.
And like, I deserve to be there.
And that my place was there.
Because English is my second language, right?
So yeah, that's...
Yeah, so I can speak fluently maybe,
but not like perfectly in English.
So yes, of course, when I do core writings,
I love that because I can throw my ideas out there.
And we all put them into words together.
And this is how we make songs.
But yeah, so it's the story of a woman
who just went through a breakup.
And she's tired of crying in her bed,
basically eating ice cream.
And she scrolls to her iPhone.
And she sees her ex having a blast.
And just partying and smoking cigarettes.
And she wants to be that version of herself
who's empowered and stronger and having fun and stuff.
So that's why it's called man out of me.
Also, it relates...
I really did a lot with that song
because I was pretty much feeling
the same thing as the woman in that song
where I put all myself down to the side.
And that's when I proved myself I could do it.
And I just got a passion for some writing
since then.
And I've written much more songs with these guys.
Love them so much.
But yeah, that's how the song was born.
Yeah, I mean, that's good.
Because you'll have to tell me the story,
if it's all right.
There was quite a nice story
of how you met your fiancée.
Wasn't it?
At a very early gig or something.
And he's been with you ever since.
And doesn't he help?
And he helped you in a video and stuff.
I mean, do you want to links a little bit about him
and how you met again?
So I remember it's a lovely story anyway.
But you're not going to remember it.
If you don't mind, be great.
Thank you.
We met at his place through...
It was a party with mutual friends, basically.
Seven years ago now.
It's been a while.
But yeah, he really works in the technology more
for surveyors and in construction and stuff.
So we're really not in the same path at all.
But he loves to play in my music videos.
And he loves music.
He was selling beers in summer festivals.
Like all these university times.
So yeah, he just enjoys music.
And he's always there by my side.
So basically...
I'm a lucky girl.
That's really good.
So at least we say that this song
doesn't sound like it's a personal experience man out of me.
So that's good in a way.
I'm glad that I remember it was a really nice story
of how you met and stuff.
So that's good.
How's the reception so far
of our stations picking up and playing it?
And what's the reaction you're getting
about from people that have heard it so far?
Oh.
And it's funny because in my team
there's a lot of people that it's their favorite song
of all the songs I've written.
It's my favorite one too because it means a lot to me again.
But I think it's going well.
We did something different with this one for socials
because we usually do a whole music video.
For this one we decided to do like a bunch of
reels, different reels with different vibes and stuff.
And it seems to go well.
I think people like it from what I hear from my friends
and my family.
But yeah, I'm just excited to see what it does
and if people like it and I hope so.
Yep.
Sure.
So is there going to be a video,
a official video going up on your YouTube channel
at some point?
I've got for it.
Not for the moment.
If people really like it and it blows maybe who knows.
But yeah, we'll see.
Yes, I remember I don't have access.
Did the video didn't go up till the weeks after we chatted?
I think the interview had gone out actually before.
And actually, you had already gone out before you.
I mean, you announced the date when it was going to come up.
I know.
But yeah, it was a little while after.
So, if that works and that's what works, it's fine.
You know, maybe it looks nice.
Give them a taster.
Because the day we do want them to download it, don't we?
We don't want them just to watch your video.
Few times because the amount of streams you need to even get a
a penny or a cent or whatever.
So a lot, isn't it?
So let's get them down to that's what we want.
No, it's fine. Give them a taster.
It's good. I like it.
Just the cover picture of your song.
You're sat on what you're doing.
But you've got the sexiest man alive T-shirt on.
I love that house.
Thanks.
How did that come about?
I made that, true.
I think it was from something on Pinterest.
I saw it was a man wearing that kind of shirt.
So I was like, I want to make that.
It felt so well for my song.
And it's just like a funny thing.
So I did that.
And then since I'm talking about the scrolling stuff,
I had my cell phone and my ice cream.
Yeah, but look at it now.
The glass is amazing.
Would you plan that way?
Or did it just happen with the glasses and everything?
Did you think that was going to be?
Or did it just happen on the day?
It just happened on the day, basically.
And it's funny because I brought one of my friends
who's an emerging photographer.
So she was not supposed to be there,
but last minute she came and that's her picture.
And I was like, I love this.
I'm going to take this for the single art, for sure.
Yeah.
One thing we didn't talk about last time when we first met.
We didn't talk about festivals.
So let's talk about festivals and what festivals you're hoping to do
this year coming.
So what sort of festivals did you go?
Where did you go?
Did you do yours this year?
Or what did you do?
Well, last year we did the Lasso Festival,
which is a big one in Montreal.
And it was really fun because it's in my city where I live.
So all my friends were there.
My parents, my brother, my cousins and stuff.
So we had a blast.
It was really fun.
But also we did the BVG Festival.
And so many last year, actually.
It was a really, really busy and fun season.
But this year we have a couple announced.
They're not all announced yet.
But I'm going to put in hearts, which is amazing.
I can't wait.
This one's a big one in Canada too.
So this is going to be really fun.
But I wish to come into the UK.
That's on my dream list again.
And that would be amazing if I could do the C2C festival.
Oh my gosh.
But yeah, we'll see.
I guess there's some more coming along the way.
And I can wait for it.
We're happy.
Listen, we'll be happy to get you on chatterbox.
And we could get it to tie just right.
Just before the tour starts.
So maybe you might have 14 or 18 or every many cities again
to date.
And we're tight just like a few days before.
But it's the chatterbox before.
We're guaranteed that.
So just make sure the assuming you're going to carry on using
the same press office of the UK.
It works for us.
It works.
But if not, find us.
But we're guaranteed that spot.
So sort of down, we give you that.
And it goes to most.
The show goes to most of the big cities in the UK.
OK, so.
Thank you so much.
I really love to come.
Sorry, I'd love to meet you.
Is there any venue in the UK you'd love to sing up?
Oh.
I don't really know venues.
I'm not familiar.
But I know some festivals.
But again, the C2C1 is so big.
So everybody knows it.
But yeah, I just wanted to discover many cities and stuff.
And I would love to take another week just to visit
with my fiancé and make some vacation there.
Because I have been to the UK once, loved it.
But I wish I could stay a little longer.
Because I didn't have time to visit much.
So yeah, that would be really, really fun.
But the UK is the biggest, smallest island in the world.
Because how that means is there's so many cities
crammed in a small space.
It's to us.
Scotland 7 or 800 miles.
That's a long, long way.
But in Canadian or American terms,
it's just along the road, isn't it?
But then you've got to think of all the big cities we got.
And all the cities were over a million people
and things like that.
And you think, you start working out.
You put England, Scotland, Wales on the main bit.
And you start thinking, is it really, is it 78 million?
Do you think, how does that many people fit on that island?
So it is, as I say, the biggest, smallest island in the world, you know.
Because it is.
You're thinking that there's a lot to see.
A lot of history there, but you know.
Yeah, history.
And you guys have so many talented artists that come from the UK.
So yeah, I would love to come.
Yeah, but it can soon get me some challenges.
It takes two to tangle, and two to present our radio show.
So here's Nick and Sue, your musical duo.
This is Nick and Sue with Chatterbox,

Anybody dead or alive?
Famous?
Who would you like to sing with?
Young Blood.
Okay.
We've never had that answer before.
No, we have.
I have a big fan of rock music, too.
So, and I think he's just doing so great.
His voice is incredible.
And he's so present for his fan.
I think he's a sweet guy.
And yeah, that would be incredible.
My dream list too.
We should say that.
Because the one of the guests
on the Chatterbox is going out today.
As we're talking,
the one's going around the station this week.
And there's a brother and sister
called the Molotovs on there.
And they've just got
the support for Young Blood in May.
Over here.
Oh, wow.
As a watching them, you think,
wow, how great is that?
Oh, is it now?
They've just got the support for it anyway.
For Young Blood.
How incredible is that?
Definitely mentioned it.
So, yeah, incredible.
So, I mean, when you do come here,
I mean, you're going to find
it's going to be better to do,
want to come and just tour yourself to start
with, do headline near yourself as the van a jade
or are you wanting to perhaps support somebody first?
What's ideal for you the first time, do you think?
I think I would love to be a support egg before.
And yeah, just, I think this is the best way to
to meet new fans and to
even in festivals, like you have the big headliners.
And then when you play earlier in the day,
there's many people that discover you.
Yeah.
And it's the best way, I think,
to get organic fans, I would say.
Yeah.
No, that's cool.
Well, she has other things to ask the van.
What's next for Savannah?
So many things.
I'm going to record four more songs in March,
which I'm really excited about.
They're really fun songs.
Not about hard break anymore.
Even if I'm in a super healthy relationship since seven years,
I love to write hard break song for some reason.
But yeah, this is coming.
And then I'm just taking some vacation in February.
And the summer shows looking forward to
who have summer shows.
Yeah.
We look forward to hearing your new songs.
And I'm sure of us.
I'm sure of us.
Before I get to ask you the guy,
well, first of all, let's do the four new songs.
Are they likely to be an EP?
Or are they just going to be singles coming out
at different points during the years?
Do you think?
For now, it's going to be single by single.
And we'll see how it goes yet.
But I think I'm sitting on like 20 more songs
that I have the most on some of them.
But I just want to choose like the song that really fits
who I am basically.
And pitch maybe some songs to other artists
that I think would sing them.
And yeah, that would be amazing.
But I write, write, write, write, write so much
because I really love it now.
So, yeah.
You're good at it.
So, there you go.
I don't even know what I did, but I'm enjoying it.
So, that's good.
Well, listen, what comes out?
The finished project of what we hear,
what we play to our audience is good.
And we don't just put a song onto hit or miss, for instance.
So, it's no good.
We don't know if you've been on already.
We put it on because the song's
worthy of being on there.
See, there's 10 songs every week,
which the audience vote on.
Even if the song comes 10th,
the way to look at it, someone has to come 10th.
But every song is a winner.
They're all amazingly strong songs.
It's just unfortunate someone has to come last.
But it's no insult to because we've selected that.
It's one of the top 10 songs that week
out of the thousands have been released.
And I don't hear the songs till that night when we do hit them.
They've never heard them before to show.
So it's a totally hurt reactions, a genuine reaction.
Yeah, that's amazing.
You know, when you put a song out,
it's like a baby, right?
Like, I love them so much.
But I just wish people like them too.
So yeah, you never know how it's going to be
for other people.
But that's amazing.
Thank you so much.
Getting to know what,
getting working relationships with
presenters and DJs like ourselves and building up.
You know, with each releases.
That's a good thing.
You know, it's a.
Yeah, but I think you know, you're getting a good
you're getting to know a lot of presenters and DJs now.
So yeah, yeah, excuse me for a second.
I'm just going to shout twinkle.
Sorry, the cat is again.
Yeah, she's clawing the furniture.
She's clawing the furniture.
Yeah, please.
Oh, so cute.
It's so fun.
Look, there you go.
So you should never close the furniture.
And Savannah, I just thought of something.
I can lovely image in my head.
You know, you like young blood.
Yeah, you could write a song for long young blood and they sing it.
Wow, that'd be incredible.
That would be amazing.
Yeah, he has certain insane voice.
It's it's so beautiful.
Okay, I reckon you could do it.
I love to.
I'll try it.
Only do my job.
And I'm impatient.
And I want to know.
So the list is I want to know.
And when are we likely to hear your next song?
Your next single after this?
Is it going to be March time or is that literally when they're
being recalled and it could be April or May?
We didn't choose yet the date.
So I don't know.
Plus we don't know which one is going to be the next single.
I have an idea of it, but we're not sure it's going to be this one.
But no, I don't have a date yet.
You have to be patient, babe.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, I'll try.
I try.
I'm waking, we count on, I'll try and be patient, but you know,
I'm slowly, I don't like to let the Laura remember.
So it's a bad news.
It's a bad news.
It could be.
Could be August or not.
I don't think she'll be that long.
I just don't, we've got two screens here.
We're talking to you on one screen.
None the other screen is your pose from your
that thing.
The cover, yeah.
The cover.
I just, I don't think you know that.
I just love it.
It's a fun one thing.
It's beautiful.
It's brilliant.
Yeah, I'm hoping you're about March 12 soon after.
Because I think it'd be lovely to have a chat.
Even if your festivals are over your side in the pond,
I think it'd still be lovely to have a chat about it.
Just to keep the interest going over here,
and we could wet the rapitites a bit more about you coming over here
even if we don't know the dates, you know,
I think it could be nice.
So I think we'd love to have you keep,
just keep the interest going across the stations.
I think that'd be quite nice.
Yeah, that'd be so fun.
Right.
That'd be good.
But let's do your social media.
Let's do that.
So, okay.
We have got Savannah Jade Music.com.
Savannah.
S-A-V-A-N-N-A-H.
Jade J-A-D-E Music.com.
And lovely website as well.
Some lovely pictures.
Got your tours ago,
and so as they get added,
they're obviously going to be on there.
A whole load of videos and music.
Google about you.
There's news.
And the magical thing is,
when we talk about social media,
is by S-A-V-A-N-A-Jade Music.com.
We can cover all the other social media by the looks of it,
because we've got Instagram,
if we just scroll to the bottom of the homepage.
We've got Instagram, Facebook, TikTok,
your YouTube channel, Spotify, Apple.
We got all that there.
Yeah, everything's there.
Yeah.
Do any other social media you want to mention to them?
I think you're more active on Instagram, maybe.
So, S-A-V-A-J Music too.
And TikTok.
Just to make some silly videos.
No problems.
All right, Savannah.
Yeah, just that.
Savannah, we're sure the best we're seeing in Korea.
Yeah, you're amazing in Singapore.
With the crew.
And man now to me is already available.
Do download that.
You're going to love it.
It's a very, very lively,
country style song.
It's just lively.
It's wonderful.
I tell you something,
people like,
but I could envisage
somebody like
Jolly Parton in her day singing it.
And I think my successful song to her career
is that lively and wonderful.
Because in the UK,
country's not really that strong,
but your songs seem to be lively and work.
There's sort of thing that can work in the UK.
And when they hear this song,
they're not going to think,
oh, I'm going to do another country song.
It's wonderful.
So lively, Savannah.
It's like you have a star about you.
So I think that's why we tagged on to you a bit.
And we like you, you know.
And I think something can work in the UK.
Yeah, definitely.
Thank you so much.
I'm glad to see you there.
You've got other interviews today or with the last one.
Last one.
I'm going to take my glass of wine and go.
Enjoy.
And we promise next time we do an interview
and we make sure the cat is not scratching the phone.
Oh, no worries.
He does normally say,
like, say hello.
So maybe that's it.
Well, she wanted to say hello.
She loves say hello.
She's curious.
Yeah.
Anyway, she's Savannah.
And all the best.
Enjoy your dinner.
I'm going to have a nice glass of Guinness.
You enjoy your wine.
So there you go.
Good things.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Bye-bye, Lou.
Bye.
Bye.
