Scott Pelley on Journalism and Democracy | May 30, 2025 | Hour 1

During a commencement address at Wake Forest University, 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley spoke to graduating students about the critical importance of journalism in a democratic society. He expressed concern that journalism is increasingly under attack. Pelley also cautioned the graduates about what he described as the potential dangers posed by President Donald Trump, particularly in relation to democratic institutions and constitutional norms.
