Man, it's like it all runs together. So tomorrow night is going to be when that happens that Mercedes-Benz stadium. So we get our intel from Mike coming up in our number two.

2:32I just have to remember to actually upload the video because this is the third thing I've had to do with the third wardrobe change since 8 o'clock this morning. So Mike Grimaho will be with us in our number two. We're going to take a trip to America, and we are going to be visiting, we're going to be getting a visit from a first timer here. It's going to be the first time that Bailey Guffin has been on the show. New Minshead Coach at Georgia Southwestern. And so it's going to be an opportunity for us to find out what's going on with the canes as they start their season in the peach belt and what it's like for Bailey to be the new guy in charge down in America. And time in three years, SDH has been named a finalist in the football content awards for best media organization, broadcast or rights holder. Second time in three years that we've done this and that the folks at the FCA in England have thought that we should be one of the finalists in this category.

5:42It is humbling to have all of the support that we have on a daily basis and to be able to sit here and do what we've been able to do with you and for you as we have. It's about the high school game. It's about the college game. It's about the vine which is being rolled out today are our women's soccer vertical. That's out there. The daily stuff that we get to do with you here, the twos, all of the places that we get to go visit, all the people that we get to go see. It's been a part of this and it's a part of our fabric. It's a part of our mission and to be able to be recognized by the content awards for this is incredibly humbling. And to have folks like Vanessa and Sophia and Maddie who was our first intern, be who she is now and with Nick and Jared and Jason and myself. And everyone that collaborates with us on a daily basis to be able to give you everything

6:42that we've been able to give you and we'll continue to do so as we continue to grow ourselves. It's very, very cool and when we mentioned the idea of a network, that's what this is. It is a network of folks that are involved and love the sport, love every aspect of it, whether it's storytelling, games, wins and losses, all that stuff. And it doesn't matter the size of the city, doesn't matter the size of the fan base, all those things. It is a true network. And once again, for us to be nominated in the rights hole in the broadcast or category again, very, very humbling. And I know I'm taking time away from Bailey Guffin and I apologize for that. Can you hear me, okay? You are fine. You are good to go. It's good. I'm originally from Georgia, so this is like coming, I mean, I wasn't, I didn't grow up

7:46in America, because becoming back home to Georgia is like coming back home for me, so it's been really good so far. I was going to ask what it's like to come back home considering that you're coming from Texas and you've got to see the college game on a bunch of different levels. What's it been like for you to experience the peach belt first and foremost down there at GSW? Well, we're going to this peach belt specific. We find out tomorrow against Flagler. But so far, it's been good. We know how tough of a conference it is. We've played against a couple of GSC teams that are quite good. We've played against the Sunshine Conference team, which is quite good. But also like being in the Loansar in the last couple of years has been good experience having Midwest or State winning a national championship last year. So we feel like we've been prepped pretty well. The last couple of years playing in a super tough conference in a place like Sol Ross. So I think it's going to be good, but it's also going to be really difficult as well. I was going to ask what you learned about yourself at Sol Ross, where you were like, yeah,

8:47I think I'm good here and it's time to go home. How did you develop or change from your time in Texas before you came back here at State of Georgia? I think the biggest adaptation we had to have was going from Division 3 to Division 2. We had done that full change and we did the full, you know, being non-championship eligible for a couple of years there and having to rebuild a brand new team. And at the Division 3 level, the group, when I took over, they had gone 0 and 11 when I came in. So I think just rebuilding a team from scratch that not only needed some things changed from a environment perspective, but just from a full soccer experience as well. And us kind of rebuilding the locker room and us doing a lot of things soccer wise and just I think it taught me how to build a program and have my fingerprints on one. And then I think we just felt it was time to move on because I think we felt like we squeezed a lot out of it in terms of just kind of what we had and what was going to be coming over

9:51the next few years. And I think we just also felt this was a really good soccer setup here at GSW in terms of player experience, something we were really, really wanting to have in terms of staffing as well. I've been, I've been happy to bring over the guy that was my GA at SoulRoss. Now he's full time. So we've been able to upgrade him as well. And I think there was just a lot of good things that's kind of helping us grow as a staff and we brought some SoulRoss guys with us too. And that's been really cool to see how they've, how they've, they're in a better soccer environment now where they're getting to play with some really good players and develop at a much higher level and just have an overall better soccer experience I felt. You're an East Pauling kid. Yes. So when you look at, I guess Atlanta adjacent and you know, you head out Fortin Road and you're heading your way to, to find out about what, how the game has expanded in the

10:53high schools. The roster that you've got this year down there at GSW is, it's a good, it's a good representation of the southeast, I think. You mentioned your SoulRoss influence, the Texas influence, but there's a lot of Georgia influence here. There's a lot of southeastern US influence here. What is it like for you to, it's like you knew, you knew what you would have at your disposal with all the talent that's on display in the southeast. What's it like to have a roster that represents the southeast there in America's when you get the chance to come home to the state of Georgia to help build it? Dave Roberts here. Yeah, I think the one of our best things that we had at Sol Ross was being really good at recruiting in Texas. So I think for us, it was finding out what is going to be like our Texas. Georgia is part of it, but we also know how good Florida is as well, knowing how cheap

14:03our school is here. Some of the resources that we have here, it can be really attractive for some really, really good Florida players as well. And just kind of using some small connections that I still had left over from when I was playing here of clubs and schools and things like that of people that we know. And so that was kind of cool to get to come back home and recruit from some of the places that I either played for or played against reaching out to some old coaches. So I think that's been really cool as well. But I think the main goal we got here in April was just get the best group possible, no matter where they're coming from, just get the best group possible. It's very transfer heavy this class. I don't think we did that on purpose. I think sometimes transfers, it's just, it's a little bit quicker to get everything done. In some of the top, top freshmen, maybe weren't available at the time as well. So I think it's kind of worked out that way. Who knows if that's the way that we continue to recruit, if it's going to be that transfer heavy, because I think out of the 20 guys that we brought in, 18 of whom are transfers.

15:04So it's pretty transfer heavy and that has its pluses and its minuses too. But yeah, I think it's been cool to come in and recruit some guys. I played for NASA. And so we have a NASA guy here. We had a couple NASA guys when I came in. Some guys at I use to like schools, I would play against in high school that we were not very good against, but it's always been cool to kind of have that part of it as well. But we've been heavy forward or recruiting as well because that felt like our Texas, we were really, really good at that. A lot of low star teams are international heavy. So we really used Texas and how cheap SoulRoss was to really bring in some good players. So we want to use Florida like that as well and even Georgia too. Bailey, go for the new head coach at Georgia Southwestern State down in America, singing out with us, bat and lead off here on the morning show, breaking everything down. You mentioned all of the new faces and the transferness of it all. Obviously trying to get all of those faces and ideas and philosophies on the same page

16:06takes a little bit of work. Where are you, I guess, in this process of the bell curve of integration, I guess. Where is everyone in trying to understand your message? It's like, yes, I transferred in. I'm here in America. I'm wearing the GSW, the Jersey. Where is everyone when it comes to understanding what you and the staff want to do out there on a daily basis? Yeah, I think we're right in the thick part of it. We definitely are having growing pains, but like healthy growing pains. Not anything that makes us weary about results or things like that. I'm still learning a lot about this group every day in terms of what gets them going because what necessarily got us going at SoulRoss is not going to always work here. It's not a one size fits all. It's definitely a different caliber player here as well. I think when we realize how transfer-heavy the group was and how old the group is to, a lot of juniors, a lot of seniors, we did want to push a message like we want to try and win as many games as we possibly can.

17:08We don't want to waste anybody's time here. The way that the transfer classes has been built up and the way that we recruited, we have a lot of juniors and seniors coming from places that they're coming from top division two or division one programs, but maybe not getting to play a lot of those places. They want to come here and be important and impactful. I think that's been the message of, yes, there's going to be a development piece two of this first year in teaching them what we want, but they also want to win right now. We also have to be on the same page with that too. This is a group that wants to win today. How do we do some of the things that can get us there today? It's just teaching them. Some of these guys have never been like the man before in their teams. Coming off the bench, 30, 40 minutes of game, and now they're being asked to play 90 minutes. It's a lot of those learning curves as well. Like, hey, you're super important to the group. We want you to do a lot of big things for us. We want you to be the guy that scores goals against Cleashield to whatever that might be. So I think that's been sort of a learning curve for us.

18:11How do you teach some of these guys coming from top places? Like, hey, you're the man now. We're trusting you. Whereas at their previous place, maybe they were getting a ton of time or maybe they were somebody older or just better in their current situation. So I think that's been a learning curve for us as well. We have very good players, but not a ton of minutes have been logged for those guys. So a lot of these guys are playing their first big 90 minute games, but they've been in college hockey maybe already for a year or two. So that's probably been our biggest learning curve so far. It's been like to see the light come on for those student athletes that might not have been the man that are now the man and they understand that they're now the man and they get it. What's it like for you and Ryan to have the light come on us and go, okay, there's something there that they understand what we're looking for from. It's funny because I think we finally had that the other day against West Alabama where you know, serve fourth game. We had obviously played preseason games, but it was our fourth game where we're starting

19:12a lot of the same guys and those things are starting to come together. Like, okay, this is the group that's playing. It's not really being, we're not really experimenting anymore at this point. And you can see a couple of those guys that are really just kind of getting fit inside of that and kind of coming into it and they're starting to make the game their own and it doesn't always feel like every mistake is just wearing on their shoulders that it's a 90 minute game and they're going to make mistakes and that's okay. We actually had one like we just, we have one coming in from a really good junior college at one of the best junior colleges in the country and we've just been telling him how good he could be and I don't think he believed in until he finally scored the winner the other night and then he came into training yesterday or the day before and was just different guy. You know, I think like when you tell him like we want you to be the man and he actually got to be the man for the day like that that was really cool. We have a guy here that's been at GSW for the last three or four years that was at North Florida freshman year. So it's the X Division one guy and hasn't really played too much and now he's played four

20:14games in a row of almost 90 minutes and you finally like we told him I think you're going to start seeing the type of player you can be once you start playing consistently and last game was probably one of his best and you could just kind of see that he no longer was feeling out playing 90 minutes like he felt like he had been doing it for a while. So that was that's been really cool for Ryan and I to kind of see that for a couple of them. Okay, I know you've got a meeting at 930. I'm back timing our lives here. How long have they walked slash the traveling path that you have before you get to your 930? He's right there. Oh, okay. I was I was I was like you're going to get it. If it's a lock across campus, I want to always it's two doors down for me. No, you're good. You're fine. Okay. There is a smattering of international talent that is there on the roster and it's not just from one nation. It's from South America, Europe, Eastern Europe. When it comes to the integration of those voices and styles and ideas coming in, what's

21:18it like integrating the United Nations aspect of it? I don't I don't think it's as I don't think it's as tough as it maybe used to be or maybe maybe how tough it might have been for me at first. I think honestly at this point, like even guys that are from Florida are still very much can be considered international in some regards. We had the same thing in Texas, like the guys that were from Mexico were less international than then some guys coming in from like Nevada or something like that just because the cultures were so similar. I don't think it's that tough integrating them anymore. I think as long as they come in and they're enjoying the soccer experience, they definitely want the soccer experience to be taken care of first. At least that's what I've always felt and experience with them. It's not been super tough. I think now especially with such a transfer of heavy class, everybody's been around international as already. That's not super new to anybody how to get on with different cultures and different languages

22:21and how to communicate inside of that. I don't think it's been that difficult honestly. If I'm being honest, I haven't even really considered it. I think normal at this point. Good deal. Flagler College coming to town to kick off your peach belt. That is tomorrow night at seven at Hurricane Field. I mentioned the East Paulting aspect of this. The high school element of this is part of our mission statement where we like to share the state with the rest of the state when it comes to all of the high school aspect of this. We go around the state, we know what it means in Hazelhurst at Jeff Davis. We know what it means at Fitzgerald. We know what it means in Thomasville. We know what it means there in Paulting County. We know what it means in Rock Martin up in the North Georgia Mountains. For someone who hasn't been there to America's and you've been there and you've been back to some total of probably five, six months or so, what has it been like for you to see

23:22what the sport means to the southwestern part of the state? I'll say specific just from coming from Texas. The coolest part about this is some people may not like it. We have no American football here, which has been great at the school. I think that's been really cool about the region just in general, not many American football teams. We're the most popular thing going on. Us and women's soccer right now in America. We had the under the lights game last week, which we had 1200 people come out to. There probably would have been more if we didn't have a storm that day last year. That's 1700 people. We had the highest attended division two game in the NCAA for women's soccer last year. Our homecoming game brought out another 14, 1500 people. I think that's a really cool piece right now is I feel like a lot of these schools and a lot of these places, we don't have American football. We're the top thing going on.

24:22Whether you like the game or not or know much about it, it's something to do with something to go see. That's been really, really cool. We're as in West Texas. It's American football, it's baseball. Not many people are going to see this soccer game. Soccer has taken various years. In some parts, we were in Nierau Paso and it's really big there. I just think that's been a really cool piece to it here is coming here and we're just like the most important thing going on. It feels like some days. Do you get to go into the IGA or the publics and people sit there and they tap you on the shoulder? They know who you are and you have to hand out index cards with the answers. The questions that you get asked the most, is it to that point yet? No, not yet. It got like that at Sol Ross, honestly, because the house mall that talent was, but I'm sure in due time, if we can start beating some bigger teams and things like that, I think hopefully we get there, but no, not yet. Two and two out of the blocks. Once again, Flagler coming to town. What study hall been like coming out of the West Alabama win there in America's on Saturday

25:25getting ready for the match up tomorrow night? I mean, Flagler's a good team like everybody knows that and their record doesn't speak for what they're able to do. They're on three straight draws, but they're going to come in here with giving us everything they got. They'll take us very serious and we'll do the same. I think what we learned about ourselves against West Alabama was we were able to kind of put our foot on a team for the first time and really implement a really good game plan that we felt probably would have gone the same way, whether they had 10 or 11 guys for a lot of the game. But we're prepped for Flagler. We feel really good about it. We know that if we're playing in America's that we can play against anybody, but we know that they're going to give us a good game. It's a really good team and this is also our first chance to see how good we are against a really, really good opponent that we just we haven't seen quite yet. So this is going to be a great test for us, but the guys are excited. Always coming off a win is big time. And I think I think we learned the other day that we're capable of beating some really

26:26good teams as well. So yeah, I think it's just have more of the same. Be prepped for a good game. And yeah, we expect Flagler to throw a ton at us. And make sure that Mother Nature leaves you the blank alone. Yeah. That you get everything going on there at Hurricane Field. Tomorrow night, 7 o'clock, Hurricane Field. Flagler College comes to visit GSW. It is great to catch up with a raider like Bailey Guffin. Congratulations on making your way back home. And it is a, on the men's and the women's sides in the peach belt, if you've never visited, if you've never been to a match-up in conference. Let me give you an idea of the footprint of the peach belt conference in and of itself, just to let you know everyone that's involved. And like I said, it is more than just a Georgia conference. Yes, that is our base, but it is more than just a Georgia conference.

30:36So if you look at the activity in, let's go men's side. North Georgia, you know that they're gangbusters. And yes, we're going to catch up with them. The state and state, they're doing really well. Flagler, Georgia Southwestern, lander, middle Georgia, and South Carolina, Aiken. That's the men's side of things when it comes to the peach belt. On the women's side, it is adding Columbus State to the mix. And that's where we catch up with our friend, Jay Antley, and we need to do that. It's lander and Clayton State, North Georgia once again, they're gangbusters. USC Bufer Columbus State, we caught up with Jack Marchant last week from Georgia College and State University. It's SC Aiken, it's middle Georgia, and it's Flagler. And let me do something really quickly. And let me see if the rankings are actually out in the men's and the women's sides of NCAA division too. So I'm trusting our friends here at the NCAA.

31:41And seeing if they're actually are because I think this week or this time next week is the first set of rankings that are out. And regional rankings, okay. So the regional rankings, just to give you an idea of where things were in super region two in men on the men's side. Just to go men's side, super region two. The end of last year, you had a lot of teams from the state of Florida that were attached to the top of the rankings. Lander was involved, North Georgia was involved, Flagler was involved. So you had three teams on the men's side out of the peach belt in the top 12 in the super region on the men's side. Palm Beach Atlantic, Lynn, Florida, Technova, South Eastern, they just beat the daylight set of each other, that's nothing new. Mississippi College, Rollins, lander kicked in at 9, 2, and 6 at number 7. If Georgia was number 9 at 9, 4, and 5, and because of the competitive nature of this

32:41footprint, that's why you see that last number being what it is. You don't get a whole lot of teams that are going to be double digit wins because they're knocking each other around so much. Palm Beach Atlantic last year was 12, 0, and 2 in the rankings in the super region. But once again, if your region is somewhat slanted toward and being top heavy, the competitive nature is how it was last year. I mean, young Harris was 13, 1, and 3. Flagler was 11, 2, and 6. North Georgia 9, 4, and 5, Lander 9, 2, and 6. Four teams on the top 12 in the men's side in the activity that was in division 2 on the men's side. Then on the women's side, just to give you an idea. Like I said, I think next week, this time next week is when you get our first set of rankings for 20, 26. Women's Soccer Division 2, looking at the regional rankings once again, and they go, they don't do like the super regions and the super sections.

33:43They actually do like top eights across the board. So last year on the women's side, it was craziness. You had West Florida, Nova, Lee, Embrygretta, Florida Tech. So you had your top five team, four of the top five were out of the state of Florida. Monovalo West Alabama, Florida, Southern. That was your one through eight. Then in the southeast, it was your top 10 in the southeast had North Georgia, who was 16, 1 and 1. Lander who is at 12, 2 and 2. Columbus State, who is at 12, 5 and 1. Columbus State right now, you're going to look at Columbus State and you're going to go, what's up with Columbus State? They are injured. And I mean that in all capital letters. And it is going to be a tall order to navigate the early part of the season for Columbus State just because of the injuries. But once again, in the south eastern top, in the southeast top 10, in the women's side division two, North Georgia, rank number one, lander rank number four, Columbus State

34:44rank number six. So you had three teams in the southeast footprint out of the peach belt last year. So it is one of the most highly competitive conferences when it comes to men's and women's soccer. I mean, I'm not, you know, I'm not Josh in here to give you just to break it all down. We mentioned flag art 15, 3 and 6. North Georgia by the way was the only other men's side that had an overall record with double digit wins. Number one 15 or Georgia 110 and that's it. Clayton State was at 500 last year at 88 and four, lander one nine games. We mentioned them and what they were able to do. But you had your number three team in your conference. Not get to double digit wins and still get consideration for votes and get ranked at time. And then on the women's side, once again, looking at what happened in 2025, obviously

35:47lander off to a good start at 3 0 and 1, but the soccer standings in 25. North Georgia one 18, lander one 14, Columbus State one 14, Flagler 110, GCSU 17, they worked 500 South Carolina, Aiken was above 500, Buford was above 500. And so you had all of these teams just bashing up against each other like bumper cars. If you're near any one of these schools and you've got a night where you don't have anything going on or an afternoon going on, this is the PSA for the Peach Belt Conference by the way. And so other than football Fridays, FWTBALL where you're looking at Sumter County and what Royal Rogers is doing and they're doing, their defense has been tremendous on the high school football side of thing. And they're in a tough region. That was your high school football sidebar. Look, GSW, Bailey Guffin said it, only game in town. So if you don't have anything going on tomorrow night or on your weekends and you're in Southwest Georgia, just be nice things in the Peach Belt.
