Seahawks Add Depth to Secondary with Igbinoghene

On March 15th, Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider is beefing up the team's secondary

depth.

Last week, he signed, safety Rodney Thomas II, and now he's added corner-back Noah

Igbinegine to help replace Rick Wullen who left the roster.

Igbinegine came into the league as a first-round pick by Miami back in 2020, but he never quite

met those high expectations there.

He spent time with Dallas, where he caught the eye of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn,

who later brought him to Washington in 2024.

In Seattle's defense under Mike McDonald and 8 and 3rd, Igbinegine should thrive in their

zone-heavy scheme.

At 5 foot 11, with 4.48 speed, he's a versatile backup, who excels in the slot, makes tackles,

and can slide outside, or even, help us safety when needed.

This move gives the Seahawks reliable depth behind stars like Devon Witherspoon, letting

rumors like Witherspoon and Nick Emanwari stay creative.

Without filling holes, Schneider already resigned Josh Job, so the perimeter feels more stable

now.

With Igbinegine on board, the secondary looks ready to handle injuries, and keep the defense

unpredictable, heading into the season.
