Seahawks Eye Mike Washington Jr. for Run Game Boost

On April 10th, Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker just signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in Free Agency, leaving a big hole in Seattle's backfield.

Now they're eyeing the 2026 NFL draft to grab some fresh legs, and one name popping up is Arkansas running back Mike Washington, Jr.

With only four draft picks that year, their options are slim, but Washington could be a smart grab.

Over his college career spanning 51 games at Buffalo, New Mexico State in Arkansas, he racked up nearly 3,000 rushing yards on five.

187 carries plus 26 touchdowns. Fans and scouts love his versatility. He snagged 73 passes for 470 yards and three scores too.

His last season at Arkansas was his best yet, topping 1,070 rushing yards, eight touchdowns and 226 receiving.

Yards earning him second team all SEC honors. Word is the Seahawks already met with Washington before the draft, getting a close look at his game.

Right now, Zach Charbonne steps up as the lead back, but he's recovering from a torn ACL and won't be ready for week one.
