Seahawks' Holani Ready to Shine

The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions, but free agency has hit them hard with several

key players leaving.

Running back Kenneth Walker III, the Super Bowl MVP, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs

just a month after the win.

Others like Boy Mafe, Kobe Bryant, and Rick Wullen also found new teams.

Some insiders say the Seahawks already have a solid replacement for Walker, right on

the roster.

With Zach Sharbanay sidelined by injury, they're turning to George Holani for a bigger

role starting in 2026.

Holani stepped up big in the playoffs after Sharbanay tore his ACL against the San Francisco 49ers.

His performance convinced coaches he's ready to handle more carries and contribute as the

number two back.

In the regular season, the 26-year-old Holani rushed 22 times for 73 yards and a touchdown.

He added two catches for 15 yards.

Then in the postseason, he had five carries for 10 yards and hauled in four of five targets

for 34 yards.

The Seahawks signed Emmanuel Wilson from the Green Bay Packers and skipped most free agent

running backs.

With a thin draft class ahead, they seemed set to roll with Holani, Wilson, and a healthy

Sharbanay next year.
