The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams are turning their fierce rivalry into an off-season

contract showdown.

Their top-wide receivers, Jackson Smith and Jigba and Puka Nakua both hit free agency eligibility

this year and could shadow records with new deals.

Last season, Smith and Jigba topped the league with 1,793 receiving yards for the Super

Bowl Champion Seahawks.

Nakua finished close behind with 1,715 yards despite missing one game for the Rams.

These stars might reset the market, now led by Jamar Chase's $40.25 million a year

from the Bengals.

Analysts say whichever team blinks first could pay more since the players match up so evenly

in production.

Nakua enters a contract year so the Rams may rush to lock him up.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks hold Smith and Jigba's fifth-year option as a first-round pick, giving

them flexibility to jump ahead.

In the end, both franchises value these weapons too much to let them go.
