Seahawks Re-sign WR Cody White, Strengthen Special Teams

The Seattle Seahawks have resigned White Receiver and special team stand out, Cody White,

to a new contract.

The team made the announcement on Wednesday, adding him to their list of retained free

agents as they build for next season.

White Inter free agency as an unrestricted player after the Seahawks chose not to tender him

as a restricted free agent when the league year started.

On March 11th.

Throughout his time with Seattle, White has moved between the practice squad and the

active roster, but this past season marked a step up for him with.

His first NFL touchdown on a 60 yard catch and run against the Washington commanders.

His year ended early in week 17's win over the Carolina Panthers due to a groin injury

while blocking a punt, but he still appeared in 10.

Games and logged a career high, 282 snaps, including 165 on offense and 117 on special

teams.

With Derricky Young now with the Las Vegas Raiders, White figures to compete for a depth spot

at White Receiver, while the Seahawks also tendered special.
