Hey there everybody, I'm Jordan Hansen, host of Daybreak Devotions, Simple Truths for
Complicated Times.
This question comes up a lot.
Why do terrible people seemingly have great lives?
Why is it that the despicable have lovely homes or are super wealthy?
Why do cheaters, liars, stealers, etc. seem to succeed without consequence?
Well, don't let it get you down.
The Bible says in Psalms 49-16, so don't be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their
homes become ever more splendid.
I love that the Bible is a living document.
Some of its oldest passages are still relevant for what we face today, and the answer to
the question that I asked a moment ago is, they can't take it with them.
This world is not our home, and it shouldn't be our gauge for success in this life.
All the wealth and fame and belongings of this life don't amount to a hill of beans.
Where we end up is the kicker.
And remember, God's not the problem, He's the answer.
The Bible says in Psalms 49-16, so don't be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their homes become ever more splendid.
