John Nabors from Lockdown Razorbacks, Cory Burton, locked on Vandy, Jasmith, Lockdown Sooners, Eric Kane, Lockdown Falls, and John Miller, locked on Mizzou. Welcome in-gents. We have a lot of intriguing games to get to, but before we do that, let's do like we do every week. Let's go around the horn and ask each of you to make a prediction about your team or

game. Steven will start with Ole Miss. I'm not going to have 12 bus for 300 yards given up against the Charlotte 49ers. I think that's the thing. I think this is a get right game for the Rebels this week. Very well should be. John Nabors, we'll get to your game a little bit later. Tough one going out to Utah for the late night Saturday night game. It's a tough one every time, Gordon. It's like, yeah, this is a new thing. Listen, this game is one that basically is like the make or break for Arkansas. If you're going to have a successful season, they got to take care of business in this one, but it is tough. I just love the fact that this game is probably going to end on Sunday morning because it's that 915 kickoff central time. That's going to be a lot of fun to talk about and have fun with, but either way, I think Arkansas is going to keep it close, but until I see them win a close game, I'm going to predict them to lose. It would be a huge feather in the cap of Brian Silverfield. Corey Burton, how about Vandy? Well, Jared Curtis is going to win the starting quarterback job.

He's going out first this game instead of Blaze Burlewood. So I think he's going to do everything he needs to do to take care of solidifying the permanent quarterback one job. So that's my prediction. Yeah, you guys win the award for Sloppiest football game in a week one. It was the weirdest game I've ever seen, Chris. It was unbelievable. John Miller, give me a thought on Mizzou. Well, I think Jamal Roberts, by the way, a mod heart, he's still out for the Tigers. No word on him as of yet. But I think Jamal Roberts, because of that, sets his career mark in rushing this week against the J Hawks, which he set last year against Kansas. 143 yards rushing on just 13 carries. He's going to blow way past that carries number this week. The Tigers really need him in a big way on Friday night. There's no doubt more to be getting to that one in just a few minutes. Eric Kane, give me a prediction for your squad. Yeah, I think Tennessee wins by at least two touchdowns.

I think Tennessee rushes for over 200 yards because I'm not sure you guys watched that Colorado Georgia tag game, but Georgia Tech absolutely sucks in the trenches. So yeah, it's a game they should have won, but they let that one slip away. Jay Smith, Oklahoma, we're going to talk your game. You're match up a little bit later, but give me a prediction about your team this week. Later, I wouldn't have expected that, but that's okay. I guess no, I do believe that Oklahoma wins this game when the regulation actually expires. I don't believe an extra time will be able to be allowed in this one to make it seem like, but no, on a serious note. I actually think they hold Michigan under temple. I don't think they allow Michigan to score a actual offensive touchdown in this game. Yeah, the one second, you know, kind of took the college football world by storm. I think just about everybody didn't didn't like it. And now they're making changes where they will actually make up the review crew there.

Yeah, the NCAA changing rules, making standards, all of this. The Max saying you did this wrong. They're saying my bad. There's no way to overturn it. And it's like the playoff committee just needs to count at Michigan at O and one at this point. Yeah, the NCAA came out with the radical notion that this was leaked by the athletic anyway. That, hey, you know, the in game stadium clock. We think that should be official. Wow. Blow me over with a feather on that one. I thought that's how I was for the first 100 years of this sport. Yeah, I just love the fact that there's a sport now that has a clock that no one knows about. They know super secret clock. Yeah, yeah. I'm just glad the commissioner of the Mac actually sticking up for one of its teams. I understand, you know, you want that check from the big 10 every single year for those non-con games, but I mean, like, was it on Sunday? It's like, yeah, well, we respect. We respect everything in the big 10 daily. We did a great job. And then on Tuesday, it's like, yeah, we're going to we're going to try to sue you to get that win. At least you're doing something. That is very true. I wonder what that sound is. Corey's doing a show from a cave apparently. So, well, wait, what?

You just, you just did your mic. You're going to get it out. I'm just going to, I'm just going to do. I'm just going to go ahead and stop here and not touch my microphone. As I said, I alluded to it. We're going to save the two big games for later. So if you're watching this, you're listening to a squad show. You want to get the Texas Ohio State Oklahoma Missing, and we're going to do those later. But we do have some other intriguing games to get to. Let's start with Friday night. It will be number 23, Mizzou at Kansas. And John Miller, this is an old big 12 rivalry that just frankly both sides hate each other. But Mizzou is going to get their starting left tackle, Caden Green back Friday night. So that is good news, but give me your thoughts on this one. Yeah, no, I don't want to play on Saturday. I'm just wondering. Because Fox wanted the game on Friday. It's as simple as that. It's at Kansas, so they get to say that's the God's honest answer. That really is the answer.

I don't know if you'll remember that a few months ago, but Greg Sankie made this day. And he's like, we will never play on a Thursday or Friday. You see, we're playing on Saturday. That's when we play. And that's when Fox was like, hey, we're going to put on that chips and Thursdays and Fridays. So which by the way, it's hilarious. Oklahoma's playing on big new kickoff, which is part of their reason for leaving to begin with. So that's kind of hilarious. Yeah, shout out to Fox for going ahead and putting us right back in the hole we were before. The good thing is last year when we played Michigan, we got the primetime game. We got the night game. So I was very happy about that. Texas gets it this time because they were big noon last year. Yeah, we basically need a reason to be 12 was to get out those 11 o'clock kickoffs. All right, let's get back with zoo canes. John, go ahead. Yeah, so you know, there is the irony in college football never ending, but on msoo Kansas, you know, obviously getting Caden Green back a huge deal from his are I think that was very much a precautionary move in week one. Drinkwood saying he looks totally fine, full confidence and go.

On the other side, Kansas, I think this is a good deal for Missouri in the running game as well. Bam, crouch, a transfer from BC. He's out for the game. I think that was pretty obvious coming after week one. I think Missouri's going to be able to run the ball against Kansas. Love what I saw at Austin Simmons in week one. I think Missouri's going to score. My only question is boy, I do like Isaiah Marshall, the Kansas quarterback, at least his talent. I'm really not sure totally what to make of him yet, but there are tools there. He's a dangerous player. Yeah, I like what we saw from his you and week one. I get it. It was what arcades all pine blow forever, but Austin Simmons look great. And Donovan, Alubadeh, yes, that kind of coming out. He was a freshman last year and then had a big night. So, you know, we'll see Jamal Roberts. You said, you know, well, should have a big game. But anybody think Kansas puts up a fight in this one? No, no, no, that's no feel it. No, no, whatever reason I'm just with John, I'm very much team.

Mizzou when the Missouri Kansas game comes out. No matter what, no matter what the records, I'm going to be with Mizzou. And drink is poor. It's hard. It feels like you drink Mizzou always starts the year like 4.0, 5.0. And then the schedule gets tough when you get the conference play. But that could well happen this season, especially look at the back end of Missouri schedule. You got Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma or three out of your last four. So this could be a really good team that people will be going, oh my God, they faded. I mean, who wouldn't possibly get that that quartet there? Three. One more of this segment. How about Saturday morning on ABC? It is 1-0 Arizona State at top 10 Texas A&M. Now, a quick primer here. Arizona State's quarterback is Carter Bowley, who had a little bit of success last year. And Tucky as a freshman. Oh, yeah. Either six touchdowns in week one. Again, who do you play? It was a nobody. But still, I know kind of intriguing an early game for A&M. A&M's had some of these early games where they're kind of sleepwalking through and kind of waking up.

Anybody think Arizona State can kind of be in this one for a bit? I think they can. I think they can. I think it'll be a little bit back and forth, but I think A&M will pull away. I mean, it's just I think the talent gap will eventually skew in favor of Texas A&M. Did last year they lose to Mississippi State? Yes. They do. Yeah, yeah. I'm. Arizona State did not. Texas A&M. I think any Kyle Field. It seems more like Arizona State is one of those teams that's getting talent plucked from it by the other power force than the other way. I know this podcast seems a little bit down on the Aggies. I'm not that down on the Aggies. I don't think they're going to lose this game at Kyle Field early in the season. Now. Yeah, they gave up zero points in week one. So Aggie defense is still pretty darn good, but I will say I'll come up this week and kind of defend Marcel Reed a little bit saying, I don't know why fans are down on him and all that. I'm like, that's pretty bold for week one. You're already having to go out and defend your quarterback.

So and Marcel Reed was not bad last week. I just think he's not getting enough love or respect and particularly from the fan base, I guess. Yeah, the Twitter people they take bullet point. Once they have their take, they defend it into their death and they're the evidence does not change that opinion. So I mean, he could be punny good, but those same people that say sucks is going to say sucks. All right. One more turn, guys. We'll get into some of the other bigger games happening. What got some drinking matchups this week? Cupcake weeks over. We got to mention the decent games will return the SEC squad show talking more ball coming to your way next. Our gents we get back into it and look at some of the games this weekend given our thoughts on them. Have a Saturday afternoon. It is number 12 Alabama at 1 in O Kentucky any upset potential here for you guys who will Stein versus Kaling to board. I don't think Alabama loses, but I think this could be sneaky good by do. Yeah, this this game has to me has felt like a big time trap game and it's mainly because

Alabama plays Florida safety next week. I know I know I know Florida state stinks. Alabama lost to out to Florida state last year so you know this on their mind that is the thing they're thinking about we've got to beat the crap out of them. We've got to get our revenge and so because of that this is a game that I could see in accidental look over type situation. Kentucky wasn't terrible week one. They were actually not terrible and can he meant you looked like a solid quarterback. So I think this game just like Eric mentioned this is going to be a funner game if people realize I don't even know if Alabama actually covers this spread. I think they win by 10 and it's like a 30 20 game or something like that. Yeah, Keel and Russell first road start that's something to keep an eye on. Maybe the big grocery bag up in Lexington's rocking for the first conference game of the year. I think if Keel and Russell settles in and improves like they normally do from game one to game two, I think Bama is going to cover this game.

I don't know why I can't prove it but I do like I think Bama is going to be pretty good. For me to get on the Bama train here, they've got to find some way to run the ball better. I think there's still a lot of lingering questions with their ability to run the ball and it's just it's going to be one of those things where it's going to allow this game to be closer than it probably should be. But for Kentucky, the home field deal, it's tough to win in Lexington just because it's a weird atmosphere. It's like one of those atmospheres where it's like, yeah, you know, it can be it's draining on you. And I mean teams go up there and win but like it's it's usually ugly is kind of my point there except for maybe Tennessee for a lot of years. But. So I have the combination of Keel and Russell who I think is obviously incredibly talented but first road start. I wonder if he just tries to scramble his way out of trouble a little bit too much and

especially maybe understandably so with a bit of a shaky offensive line from Alabama in the first week from all accounts. I'm a little hesitant just because to be honest with you, I didn't see Kentucky last week. I'm really curious to see what can he mean she looks like of course and Will Steins hold offense but that 10 and a half points on the road. Something tells me I should give it offensive line was much improved for Kentucky that they're trying to build back that big blue wall allows to live in from Alabama. Lance heard who was at Tennessee. You know, they got big guys on that on that line out and then see you back to former five star running back that was that Texas looked pretty good and a few notes here guys from the interreport Wednesday night. Alabama right guard Michael Carroll listed as doubtful and then AK deer, the number three running back. He's listed as questionable, not expected to go and then for Kentucky, they're right tackled Malachi wood who missed last week is good to go. They're two starting corners who they sat out last week are good to go and Javante Barnes

the former OE running back is good to go. So it's almost like Will Steins looked at the schedule went, we're going to hold out a bunch of guys against youngstown and we're going to put them all out there against Alabama to make sure where we're full go. So kind of interesting strategy, I guess. Well, I'm telling you right now, Alabama's going to win this one and win it big because Kentucky's still too worried about Mark Mitchell not being eligible. So they can go get bent. Yes, well said neighbors. We agree for once. I love it. Spoken like a true Arkansas basketball fan, their neighbors, but that is the sport we care about. How about by the way, raise your hand. Are you taking Alabama to win this and just raise your show of hands? Okay. So all y'all I'll stick with. I just want to have fun. I want to be a good game. I think a big game. I do think Kentucky is going to cover, but Alabama wins. Yeah, I agree with that. My all season prediction. I say Kentucky wins. So. God, they will they will they'll give Will Steins a contract extension. If he wins this one, that would be a worthy field rush.

I'll get it. If Kale and Debora loses to Kentucky and Vanderbilt on his resume in his last three years, but this is what he's done, right? Like he wins the big games. It's the games against the Oklahoma's, the Florida States, the the Van D's. Like these are the ones that he's lost over the years. So how Oklahoma and Florida state going into that pile? And I meant Oklahoma when they were what six and six two years ago, right? Yeah, that's fair. So they've been in the playoffs. It doesn't matter. But all right. How about in the afternoon? This one's a trade and guys one in no Mississippi state at one in no Minnesota. Oh Taylor, the goose, the SEC and passing. Is this move the needle all for you guys? He's really good. Yeah, he really is. He is. It's a really good fun game to watch. But I do caution everybody. It was against Louisiana Monroe. It's going to be the last place team in the Sunbelt. I mean, and the clip that you keep seeing on Twitter is one play.

It was what now was a beautiful play, but it was one play. And Minnesota playing out there is going to be an ugly game. This is going to be a Trent style ball game. And if they can contain, I think they have a good shot if they can force Kamaria to beat them with their arm. This game is a stay away from a picks or betting perspective, but a fun one to watch. It's an interesting one to watch. How for real is Taylor? This could tell us a lot. And we talked about the SEC versus big 10 argument. Unfortunately, they're going to use this one if Minnesota wins about all big 10. We got you SEC. Even though the game doesn't mean Jack, you know, at the end of the day, they will use this. So, hey, he'll state. Let's go. But if they can. They can get a moment in state wins, all of a sudden you get all the benefit of the doubt from the playoff committee after that. Yeah, that is very much true. I want to see what Drake Lindsey looks like in a game against a potentially decent defense

with Zach Rnet coming in at Mississippi State coming back home. It's for her. He's in the DC and being the head coach, being fired from being head coach and then coming back more or something, anything. Rnet coming there underneath Lebi still kind of reminds me of him being in the leaf leech. So, there's a chance that they can actually surprise a lot of teams this season. I think they can go up there and actually pull off the victory. I think it's going to be closed. I just want to be fun. I just want to be a fun game. Period. Show hands. Who's riding with state? One, two, three, four, five. All right. Five of us believe in him to shoot out. And I think it's complicated. He cannot. It's for me. It's just not really believing in Minnesota right now. I don't know if they can row the boat enough against Mississippi State. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what's on about Minnesota, to be honest, but I just need Arkansas's future quarterback to do really well in this game, which is Drake Lindsey. So. Yeah. And if it turns into the sloppy game that Minnesota likes to get into, it's a problem

for Mississippi State. State believe it or not has to win pretty. All right. How about a night on ESPN is number 18 Tennessee at O and one Georgia Tech. And again, this is kind of lost. Could have been a little lost or had they started wanting to know at Georgia Tech, but losing that hard part going to Colorado. Things like just about everybody's in on Tennessee. Eric how we feeling? Confident. Good. I mean, I've felt this way all off season, to be honest. I mean, this all off season like everybody like a bunch of Tennessee fans, I'm like, oh, Georgia. And now I respect Brinkie. I think he's a good coach. I understand what he's done in Georgia Tech. I know the style of play that, you know, he's he built. That was not what was against Colorado. I mean, they were trash on the offensive line. Offensive line was awful defensive line. The front seven Colorado ran for a buck 83 on him. And just as Haines couldn't do anything. I mean, I burnt them and does it was pretty good, but he got sacked three times for a loss to 22 yards. I mean, everything that Georgia Tech kind of prides themselves on, they did not do against

Colorado. Now, I think I think Georgia Tech is better than what it showed. It was just one game. But, you know, all off season people are like kind of giving this pause like, oh, I don't know, Georgia Tech, you know, freshman quarterback, I hear, I hear you there. But this screams NC State vibes 2024 to me where everybody was just kind of worried about the game and Tennessee went out there and just blitzed them 51 to 10 or whatever it is. I think Tennessee wins by at least two touchdowns. And I don't think Georgia Tech is very good. I agree with that. Well said one of my favorite picks of the week. I like the balls minus what 12 and a half in Atlanta. Give them to me. No. Do you guys like what you saw from FaZe on Brandon week one? I thought he was pretty strong. Yeah, he's me too. It was Farman. So you got to recognize that. Excuse me. But, man, I mean, he runs the football authority. He throws such a pretty football. He's decisive. He did. I mean, I know you played at home, but you're still playing in front of a hundred two thousand P.F. fans. Like that's pretty intimidating for a guy that literally just turned 18 years old over the summer. Now, he was awesome. I'm intrigued to see how they utilize him.

I think they're going to run him a lot down at Georgia Tech this weekend. Now, he was five total touchdowns. I don't care who you play. That was that's pretty impressive. Yeah. For your first game, he's been or is it Bobby Dodd? Bobby Dodd. Bobby Dodd. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he looked like a freshman quarterback that is in a really good system that allows for him to be successful. So I mean, it's what he looked like. And he took advantage of it. He was he was pretty accurate. He ran well. I think they saw him. Brandon's going to be a fun quarterback this season. This is going to be a great test for him. He could use this. But the good thing for Tennessee is Georgia Tech is just awful and the trenches. I mean, Colorado ran for 170 yards in them. And Colorado could not run for 100 yards in a game like period last year. So obviously, Colorado brought in a whole new offensive line and a whole new staff and a whole new everything to go on the prime to be better. But like literally, Georgia Tech could not figure out how to get the ball down the field. They couldn't score the offensive touchdown. Tennessee better blow them out like period. More quick show hands were all rolling with the balls.

Yeah. Yeah. Last one in this segment, guys, late Saturday night as John neighbors intimated. We get one in a Arkansas at number 20 Utah. Both teams getting week one wins. John, I watched Arkansas. There was some good things. I thought they were going to blow out. It's North Alabama. But defense looked better. Did Jackson show some improvement? What did you make? First off, show of hands besides Gordy. How many people watch this game? Exactly. Exactly. Yeah, it's like, now you know why I'm always pissed off because it's like, hey, you know, we come in here and talk about this game. It's like, hey, this is the last game. It's Arkansas and Utah because I know when he starts talking about, oh, show of hands. You just Arkansas. It's Arkansas going to win. None of y'all are going to raise your hands. And that's fine. You're doing the six years though. You've been at six years. It's longer than six years, my man. Come on now. But no, listen, this is the game that means everything to Arkansas. They're going to have a successful season. They have to win this game. I mean, it's, it's pure and simple. It's not going to be easy. It's a hostile environment over there in Utah.

It's a team that doesn't have Kyle Wittingham. And actually, maybe a blessing in disguise, comparing, seeing how Michigan actually played up there. But it comes down to simple this. You got to be able to not turn the ball over. DUR. But you also have to make sure that you have KJ Jackson and you're giving him as much confidence because Arkansas, the entire off season was about OTB, own the ball. No turnovers. Play clean. It against North Alabama. Ryan Silverville was pissed after the game, like, rightfully so. He did not want his game ball that was given to him when he won his first game as a raise your back head coach. So that's got to get cleaned up. But Arkansas, when this came, absolutely, they can. But it's just a matter of, are they going to be able to keep their defense off the field and keep from turning the ball over? That to me is the ultimate thing. You talk about some fun quarterbacks. Devon Dampier and Emburred Ficklin is, they're, they're fun. Grandmothers, throwers, they both got some pretty nice rocket arms. I think Arkansas, like two quarterbacks at Utah. Yeah, they have a tendency to, like, they did last year.

They had moments where both of them will play. But I mean, Devon Dampier is the main guy. But at the same time, his offense of coordinator left and went to Michigan with Kyle Wittingham. So which I thought was kind of weird because he actually followed Jason Beck to Utah. And I thought that, you know, I guess the money that Underwood makes made it kind of hard for them to bring a Dampier up there, but doesn't matter. Dampier be up there next season. But they have two pretty solid quarterbacks that can play the run game is, of course, they run a lot. Lashon Parker is, he's a pretty solid back. I remember looking at him at Washington State when material was there when I was kind of scouting him. He's a pretty solid back. I really want to see if KJ Jackson can go out there and bounce back from the first game to get those jitters off and actually put in work. I think Utah is vulnerable, but I don't know if Arkansas can pull it off yet. Sorry, neighbors. Yeah, I wish we saw more of a run game for Arkansas last week. It was okay. I thought if they were to run the ball much better, Braille and Russell and those guys,

Sutton Smith, I'd be hopping on the upset train, but I think I might lean Utah. Anybody taking Arkansas? No. See, this is what I'm saying. I don't even get it as you see bias. This is a frickin big 12 team and I can't even get in the frickin as he's going to show and get people to believe in. No, I don't want it. I don't want it. You're going to take it. You like it. I raised my hand before you ran. So yeah, right. Yeah, yeah. See, this is what I'm saying. What do I do? Roll the tape. Roll the tape. All right. One minute turn, guys. We'll get to the two biggest matchups with SEC teams happening this weekend. More squad show wrong your way next. Hey, my first running a business shouldn't feel like you're trying to connect a bunch of systems that were never designed to work together. One app for accounting, another for inventory, another for sales, somehow know them. Talk to each other. That's where ODO comes in. ODO is an all in one business management software that brings every part of your business together a one powerful platform, sales and accounting, inventory and marketing.

It's about having everybody working together towards the same goal. It's true in sports, just like it is in business. Trying to think of a parallel in the SEC. How about South Carolina? They got everybody pulling the same direction when they hired Kendall Briles, coordinated effort across the entire organization, helping to make that higher. We'll see if it works for the Lennore sellers and companies that I'm up for success. Great organizations win because operations matter. That's why you should get ODO. ODO is one platform to manage, grow and scale your business. Trying for free today at odu.com slash locked on. That's odo.com slash locked on. Our Gets two big games in the SEC, the noncon happening this weekend. Yes, it is big 10 versus SEC, kind of a theme with some of these other games. But Jay, we are starting with Oklahoma at Michigan, 11 am Central on Fox.

That is big new kickoff. Man, Michigan's even lost a lot of support with this one with the way that week one played out. But as Nick Sable would say, don't buy the rat poison or don't eat the rat poison. That is a dangerous territory. I heard Kirk Herb Street earlier this week saying you were going to see a much different Michigan team on Saturday against Oklahoma. What say you? Yeah, I actually expect a different Michigan from the Western Michigan game. I expect them to come out there and be focused and ready to play. I don't think that they're going to be that much better than they were in the Western Michigan game. I actually think that they'll be good enough to make it competitive. They have the talent. But the biggest challenge is, is what exactly are they going to do to make sure Underwood stays up and actually reads the field? That's his problem. He can't read the field. It would look noticeable in that Western Michigan game. But the thing that helps him and unfortunate for us is, BV likes to blitz. Underwood plays better under the blitz. He has countless people. You see all these bodies coming up and he just throws the ball up in the air and hopes

somebody goes up and catching. He's got a couple of receivers in Buchanan as well as Marsh who throw up in the air. They'll probably be able to find a way to come down with it. But I do believe Oklahoma's secondary is a lot better this year. I actually think that when we run a lot of 12 personnel, we'll be able to run it down their throat even because their defense is still pretty young. I expect this to just run it down their throat most of the game. I think Oklahoma's going to win this one soundly. I don't think that it's going to be a massive blowout like everybody. It won't be LSU Clemson. I don't think it's going to be nothing that crazy. I think it's going to run the ball. It would be awesome. I would love it. But I do think that we're just going to run the ball a lot and the clock's going to burn. I think it'll be close to the South Carolina score last year of like 24 or 27 to like six. Yeah. One thing's interesting. Now be careful in a close game because Michigan does its best work and extra time. So fair. You do want to avoid that. They're the Argentina of college football. Yes. Definitely. I do give Kyle Wittingham credit. He took an eight million dollar quarterback and turned him into a great value quarterback.

And so that's pretty hard to do as well. I do think Oklahoma's going to win this game pretty easily though. Never pay extra for the hometown kid. I think that's sort of the lesson of the Bryce Underwood saga. I got to be honest with you. Yeah. It's been disappointing there for him so far at Michigan. And Jay, I think Oklahoma with with Brent Vennibol's defense things, he's really settled in and I think this defense is just going to give them so many nightmares that they're just going to have a hard time moving the ball. The tears going to have a good game. I think this game is going to be tight for a minute, but then I think Oklahoma has a chance to really kind of pull away. I think Oklahoma wins by 30. And when neighbors speak, I think that's a totally sane and rational take actually because now how far they pull away at bat against that against that Oklahoma defense. I'm a big believer in the sooners this year. I think this absolutely could be a blowout. Yeah. The thing to me, Vennibol's defense and what we've seen from Bryce Underwood last year

and one game this year, like how are they scoring? I mean, they're going to break up long, long running back runs like underwood sucks. Did you guys happen to see his sound like? He was agressed. Yeah. When he say that's cool. He's that's cool. I think the asked about his like job security or what? Winning hamster. He was just like, oh, that's cool. Yeah. Fun stat for everybody. Fun stat. That didn't inspire a lot of confidence. That's cool. Zero confidence. I wonder if Tommy Carr, the, the, the, was at the grandson of Lloyd Carr, the brother of CJ Carr gets in there. The true freshman quarterback that they have. I wonder if he gets on the field. But I'm going to give you all fun stat. Vennibol's is 51 and 13 when he sees a quarterback more than once. Oh, okay. Hmm. He's really good at seeing a guy a second time. That's kind of his interesting stats and team. He's that of the day. Needle, that of the night. I think I'll be on the high. After this, too. Jay, I like the Lloyd Avant. Is he RB one at this point? I think at this point, he is. He's the healthiest.

So he's definitely RB one. We're expected to get. Torrey Blalock back in this game as the anticipation. X Rob was returning for injury. So he's looking like he's getting back fresh and the way he wanted. And of course, true freshman is Jonathan Had and then Des Walker. Should see some acts as well. I expect Oklahoma to run the ball a lot in this game. And I think that's only reason why the score won't be as high as I would like it to be. I just think he's going to just. No, I stop the entire game. I think the sack total goes up for Oklahoma in this game, too. No, they're going to get after it, man. He's going to he's going to fumble on. He'll throw he'll throw one up for a pick. Yeah, it's going to. I'm with neighbors. It's going to get ugly. I don't know how I don't know how quickly it's going to get ugly, but it will get ugly at some point. I just hope that everybody everybody ride with you. Yeah, yeah, I think that a bulls is going to simulate some pressure to speed him up. And then all those people were back in coverage. And you just go through it. Or speed him up so he can throw it at their knees. How about the late game on ABC 630 Central?

It is Ohio State at Texas. I did across over Brad Kellner earlier this week. He couldn't join us tonight, but Kellner is calling this a must win for Texas. And I think that's right. Because if they lose this one, they basically have to go nine and one the rest of the season. And it's a tough schedule. But I think being in Austin, we've seen this match up what three times in the last 18 months. I think being at home, this is one Texas finally gets against Ohio State. What's that you guys? I think Hollywood's mother is the key in this game. And archmaning doesn't quite have to do as much. And if that happens, you're going to be all right against Ohio State. You don't want to be a situation where art starts looking like an unfolded lawn chair like you did last year. They can handle it and just play clean ball. I think they'll be all right. Yeah, that's what I'm curious about them as well. I want to see what this deepness looks like with much champ. So Corey, how exactly is that defense supposed to work for them in this game?

Well, we're going to get a lot of pressure on Julie and saying, that's what we're going to do. We're going to knock it down. We're going to sling them around and we're going to intercept some passes. We're going to dance in the end zone. Open your eyes a little bit more, Corey. There you go. That's what I was waiting for. Yeah. Wood must champ everybody. No, I'm actually curious to see what their deepness looks like against these wide receivers. How do they contain Jeremiah Smith? How do they contain the other 14 wide receivers they have that don't have names yet, but they will have names by the end of the season? That's what I'm curious about. Bo Jackson, I mean, I guess I think he'll be a really good back there. I don't know yet, but yeah, the offensive line of Ohio State, a lot of people have been pointing out as a little bit shaky this year. Texas gets the pressure. Julie and San Diego be able to do nothing. I just don't believe in Texas in these big games for whatever reason. I've got Ohio State winning and it's not I just get real James Harden vibes from the entire Texas program right now. Like, oh, wow, look at those.

And I mean like prime James Harden like, wow, he's got the MVP averages 35 a game. He's 50, 40, 90 and yet. Would you want to play with him? Does he ever get your class round to not very often? Yeah, listen, listen, Texas is going to get smashed in this game by Ohio State. It's not even going to be close. And this is the problem that I have with Texas and the program and also with the fan base and everything is because in that fan base, they believe that if they are not great at college football, then college football has a problem. College football sick. They're unhealthy if they're not good in football. And so they're going to freak out and lose their minds. And it's going to be this like travesty upon travesties because oh my goodness, how is college football going to exist this season? Now that Texas loses to Ohio State. I am so sick of the archmaning crap. I'm so sick of Texas. I'm so sick of everyone trying to blow them up into being something great and they completely and totally crap their pants and big games like this. And they're going to do it again this time. Well, Ohio State is going to beat them by at least three scores one more time horns.

That's like I just don't understand why anybody was thinking to make Texas is a great team. They're so back. Shut up. They're not going to be a great team this year. That level of hate, man, I'm on board, buddy. Hate tech. I like it. I still don't want Ohio State to win. And I don't know that Texas is going to like blow the world up. Then you're not going to see the kingdom of God, Corey. I can tell you that. If this is the way you're going to be, you're rooting for Texas. You're not going to see the kingdom of God. I'm not necessarily rooting for Texas. I'm just rooting against Ohio State. Or so. Yeah. I think we're going to stick that. Look, I'll say this. Cam Coleman had two touchdowns in game one. He had five in all of last season. I think this is everybody's talking about Jeremiah Smith. I think this is a game. Cam Coleman says, I am the best wide receiver on this field in this game. I am going off. And Ryan Wingo had a great week one too. But I think that trio, Wingo Coleman Arch. This is their coming out party and let the nation put the nation on notice saying, we are the best passing attack in the country.

I was with Steve on the Hollywood Smothers thing. Like I think that's going to be a big X factor for Texas. If they can get him going, they can they can win the game. But I got a little threat back. He caught some passes, ran the ball well. And really ground looked OK is the backup. I thought they moved the pile a little bit more. But again, you never know. We're taking, you know, work from week one. I was told I was because I somebody said, why was it called Simmons more a factor? They said it was very treating him with kid gloves for week one. They want him healthy all year long. Expect Collins Simmons to be more of a factor this week against Julian saying to Ohio State. So I'm going to go with the long horns. Raise your hand. The long horns at home. Me and Steven, that's it. The rest of you are taking Ohio State on the road and DK are at night. OK. Yeah, because Ohio State could never do such a thing like beating the mighty Texas long horns in their home stadium. We've got some environment on the road. Yeah.

It's fair. Look, Arches legacy is on the line here. He's got he's got to win this one. It's a must win for the long horns. So we will see what they do. Must win. I don't know about that. Real quick, quick and closing. Everybody cool with LSU? Staying in the SEC? No. No. At the top of his boots, I'll tell the understand why the odds of them ever leaving were zero this entire time. I just wanted them to stop saying, oh, we are the SEC. That's all I wanted. Just show some contrition. That's some real Texas in the big 12 vibes there for sure. Well, they're the long horned network. So we know who know. I all I know is that when the governor comes down, he's like, hey, what's good? Can we just play football, guys? I mean, come on. It's like I just wanted to punch him as hard as I could in the face because I'm like, you are, it's like the hot dog being. We're all trying to find the guy who did this. It's like, you are the problem. It's unreal, man. All right. We'll leave it there fellas.

By the way, LSU gets Louisiana attack. Ole Miss gets Charlotte. Auburn gets Southern Miss. They better, they're often better. Look better against Southern Miss for Auburn. But we got big games coming up next week. Go ahead. Gordy, the Charlotte reporter that I had on my show for the crossover for this morning thing, picked Ole Miss to win 67 to 14. That was his home review. So I'm like, good gosh, man. Rest Kiwan Lacey, get him ready for the big game next week. The guy that has a hang nail, they're sitting out. Yeah. All right.
